2Wentzel-Kramer-Brillouin and finite-difierence time-domain analysis of Terahertz band electromagnetic characteristics of target coated with unmagnetized plasma显示文摘We investigate computationally the attenuation and reffection of Terahertz (THz) wave using targets coated with plasmas. The simulators are the Wentzel-Kramer-Brillouin (WKB) method and finite-difierence time-domain (FDTD) method. The relation between the frequency of the incident electromagnetic (EM) wave and the attenuation caused by unmagnitized plasma is analyzed. The results demonstrate that the amount of absorbed power is a decreasing function of the EM wave frequency and the plasma collision frequency. For THz band incident wave, the attenuation that is caused by plasma is small when the plasma has common density and the collision frequency. 4Genomic evidence of lung carcinogenesis associated with coal smoke in Xuanwei area, China显示文摘Xuanwei area, in southwestern China,harbors the highest female lung cancer rate in the country(Supplementary Table 1) [1]. Epidemiological studies have shown that lung cancer incidence in Xuanwei area is associated with the use of different types of local coal for household cooking and heating [2]. 5Boron carbide boosted Fenton-like oxidation: A novel Fe(Ⅲ)/Fe(Ⅱ) circulation显示文摘The sluggish kinetics of Fe(Ⅱ)recovery in Fenton/Fenton-like reactions significantly limits the oxidation efficiency.In this study,we for the first time use boron carbide(BC)as a green and stable promotor to enhance the reaction of Fe(Ⅲ)/H_(2)O_(2) for degradation of diverse organic pollutants.Electron paramagnetic resonance analysis and chemical quenching/capturing experiments demonstrate that hydroxyl radicals(·OH)are the primary reactive species in the BC/Fe(Ⅲ)/H_(2)O_(2) system.In situ electrochemical analysis indicates that BC remarkably boosts the Fe(Ⅲ)/Fe(Ⅱ)redox cycles,where the adsorbed Fe(Ⅲ)cations were transformed to more active Fe(Ⅲ)species with a higher oxidative potential to react with H_(2)O_(2) to produce Fe(Ⅱ).Thus,the recovery of Fe(Ⅱ)from Fe(Ⅲ)is facilitated over BC surface,which enhancesOH generation via Fenton reactions.Moreover,BC exhibits outstanding reusability and stability in successive cycles and avoids the secondary pollution caused by conventional organic and metalliferous promotors.Therefore,metal-free BC boosting Fe(Ⅲ)/H_(2)O_(2) oxidation of organics provides a green and advanced strategy for water decontamination.Peng Zhou Feng Cheng Gang Nie Yangyang Yang Kunsheng Hu Xiaoguang Duan Yongli Zhang Shaobin Wang 2020Green Energy & Environment2020,5,4:2

7Active sites and reaction mechanism for N-doped carbocatalysis of phenol removal显示文摘Heteroatom-doping of carbocatalysts has been a powerful strategy to remarkably enhance the catalytic performance.Herein,the underlying nature of N promotional effects on peroxymonosulfate(PMS)activation for phenol removal is understood by combining kinetics analysis with multiple techniques.A strategy using mixed acid oxidation of carbon nanotube(CNT)followed by NH3 treatment is employed to yield a series of catalysts with different N-doping contents but similar fraction of sp^(2)-hybridized carbon and defective degree,endowing with a chance to discriminate the dominant N-containing active sites.The multi-sites kinetics analysis suggests the graphitic N-containing sites as the dominant active sites.The mechanism of the surface-bound reactive species is also discriminated as the dominant reaction mechanism.The insights reported here could provide the methodology to fundamentally understand the heteroatom-doping effects of carbocatalysis.Mingjie Zhang Chen Han Wenyao Chen Wei Luo Yueqiang Cao Gang Qian Xinggui Zhou Xiaoguang Duan Shaobin Wang Xuezhi Duan 2020Green Energy & Environment2020,5,4:1

12Exploring HONO formation and its role in driving secondary pollutants formation during winter in the North China Plain显示文摘Daytime HONO photolysis is an important source of atmospheric hydroxyl radicals(OH).Knowledge of HONO formation chemistry under typical haze conditions,however,is still limited.In the Multiphase chemistry experiment in Fogs and Aerosols in the North China Plain in 2018,we investigated the wintertime HONO formation and its atmospheric implications at a rural site Gucheng.Three different episodes based on atmospheric aerosol loading levels were classified:clean periods(CPs),moderately polluted periods(MPPs)and severely polluted periods(SPPs).Correlation analysis revealed that HONO formation via heteroge.neous conversion of NO_(2)was more efficient on aerosol surfaces than on ground,highlighting the important role of aerosols in promoting HONO formation.Daytime HONO budget analysis indicated a large missing source(with an average production rate of 0.66±0.26,0.97±0.47 and 1.45±0.55 ppbV/hr for CPs,MPPs and SPPs,respectively),which strongly correlated with photo-enhanced reactions(NO_(2)heterogeneous reaction and particulate nitrate photolysis).Average OH formation derived from HONO photolysis reached up to(0.92±0.71),(1.75±1.26)and(1.82±1.47)ppbV/hr in CPs,MPPs and SPPs respectively,much higher than that from O3 photolysis(i.e.,(0.004±0.004),(0.006±0.007)and(0.0035±0.0034)ppbV/hr).Such high OH production rates could markedly regulate the atmospheric oxidation capacity and hence promote the formation of secondary aerosols and pollutants.Shaobin Zhang Guo Li Nan Ma Yao He Shaowen Zhu Xihao Pan Wenlin Dong Yanyan Zhang Qingwei Luo Jeannine Ditas Uwe Kuhn Yuxuan Zhang Bin Yuan Zelong Wang Peng Cheng Juan Hong Jiangchuan Tao Wanyun Xu Ye Kuang Qiaoqiao Wang Yele Sun Guangsheng Zhou Yafang Cheng Hang Su 2023Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,10:0
13Microbial synthesis of anti-tumor agent oxysophoridine through one step by filamentous fungus显示文摘Sophoridine and oxysophoridine are alkaloids extracted from Chinese traditional medicinewith significant antitumor activities. Computer-aided design and preliminary structure-activity relationship studiesshowed that the biological activity of sophoridine can be improved after oxidation (oxysophoridine) whileits toxicity significantly decreased. A new method to prepare oxysophoridine from natural product Sophoridineby biotransformation was established for the first time except for traditional extraction from plants and chemicalsynthesis. Positive biocatalytic reaction was detected by TLC. Structure of conversion product was elucidatedbased on NMR spectroscopy. Optimizations of reactions including substrate concentration, pH, conversion timeand inoculation quantity were complemented which analyzed by LC-MS. Results showed that filamentous fungusXylariales. sp F005 (CCTCC M2014660) has the capacity of synthetizing oxysophoridine from sophoridinein the selected 37 strains. The yield of oxysophoridine reached highest at conditions pH 6.0, the third day ofconversion time, 5.0 mg substrate and 5% inoculums respectively. 14Genome sequencing revealed the red-flower trait candidate gene of a peach landrace显示文摘Peach(Prunus persica)is an economically important fruit crop globally and an excellent material for genomic studies.While considerable progress has been made in unveiling trait-associated genes within cultivars and wild relatives,certain novel genes controlling valuable traits in peach landraces,such as the red-flowering gene,remained unclear.In this study,we sequenced and assembled the diploid genome of the red-flower landrace‘Yingzui’(abbreviated as‘RedY’).Multi-omics profiling of red petals of‘RedY’revealed the intensified red coloration associated with anthocyanins accumulation and concurrent decline in f lavonols.This phenomenon is likely attributed to a natural variant of Flavonol Synthase(FLS)harboring a 9-bp exonic insertion.Intriguingly,the homozygous allelic configurations of this FLS variant were only observed in red-flowered peaches.Furthermore,the 9-bp sequence variation tightly associated with pink/red petal color in genome-wide association studies(GWAS)of collected peach germplasm resources.Functional analyses of the FLS variant,purified from procaryotic expression system,demonstrated its diminished enzymatic activity in f lavonols biosynthesis,impeccably aligning with the cardinal trait of red flowers.Therefore,the natural FLS variant was proposed as the best candidate gene for red-f lowering trait in peach.The pioneering unveiling of the red-flowered peach genome,coupled with the identification of the candidate gene,expanded the knowledge boundaries of the genetic basis of peach traits and provided valuable insights for future peach breeding efforts.Ping Zhou Siru Lei Xiaodan Zhang Yinghao Wang Rui Guo Shaobin Yan Guang Jin Xingtan Zhang 2023Horticulture Research2023,10,11:0

16Hybrid microbial electrolytic/UV system for highly efficient organic pollutants removal显示文摘This study for the first time proposed an efficient microbial electrolyte/UV system for Methyl Orange decomposition. With an external applied voltage of 0.2 V and cathode aeration of20 mL/min, H2O2 could be in-situ generated from two-electron reduction of oxygen in cathode, reaching to 8.1 mg/L in 2 hr and continued to increase. The pollutant removal efficiency of approximate 94.7% was achieved at initial neutral pH, with the activation of ·OH in the presence of UV illumination. 17Electron transfer to direct oxidation of aqueous organics by perovskites显示文摘The residual of oxidant chemicals in advanced oxidation processes(AOPs)resulted in both economic cost and secondary pollution.Herein,we report a direct oxidation of phenolic pollutants induced by Ca-Mn-O perovskites without using an oxidant.Governed by one-electron transfer process(ETP)from the phenolics to the Ca-Mn-O perovskites,this direct oxidation proceeds in fast reaction kinetics with activation energy of 51.4 kJ/mol,which was comparable with those AOPs-based catalytic systems.Additionally,mineralization and polymerization reactions occurred on the Ca-Mn-O surface and ensured the complete removal of phenolics.The high spin state Mn(III)within Ca-Mn-O structure was the dominant active site for this ETP.The elongated axial Mn(III)–O bonds within the[MnO_(6)]octahedron facilitated the acceptance of the electrons from the phenolics and thus promoted the initiation of the direct oxidation process.Mn(III)in the high spin state can also activate dissolved O_(2)to produce singlet oxygen(^(1)O_(2))for a fast removal of phenolics.The mixed Mn(III)/Mn(IV)within Ca-Mn-O accelerated the ETP by enhancing the electrical conductivity.This efficient Ca-Mn-O-induced ETP for removal of organic contaminants casts off the dependence on external chemical and energy inputs and provides a sustainable approach for transforming the toxic organic pollutants into value-added polymers.Tao Kong Yuxian Wang Shenning Liu Ya Liu Menghan Zhou Bofeng Li Xiaoguang Duan Chunmao Chen Shaobin Wang 2023Nano Research2023,16,5:0
