1PRECIPITATION AND GROWTH OF PEROVSKITE PHASE IN TITANIUM BEARING BLAST FURNACE SLAG显示文摘The effects of transformation of slag composition and additive agents on the morphology, the precipitation behavior, the crystal growth, and the volume fraction (VF) of perovskite (CaO·¤TiO_2) crystal in the Ti-bearing blast furnace slags were investigated. As the morphology of perovskite is dispersed in molten slags, the crystal growth mechanism of the melting of fine dendrites and the coarsening of large grains exist throughout the solidification of molten slags. With the increase of CaO and Fe_2O_3 content, VF of perovskite obviously increases. However, high basicity leads to the viscosity of slag, which results in the reduction of the average equivalent diameter (AED). The experimental results showed that the presence of the additives CaF_2 and MnO efficiently decreased the viscosity of the slags, and obviously improved the morphology of perovskite and promoted its growth.Z.Z. 2FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS FOR MICROSTRUCTURE EVOLUTION IN HOT FINISHING ROLLING OF STEEL STRIPS显示文摘A computer model that describes the evolution of microstructures during the hot finishing rolling of SS400 steel has been proposed. It has been found that the microstructure strongly depends on processing of materials and on their parameters,which affected the history of the thermomechanical variables,such as temperature,strain,and strain rate. To investigate the microstructural evolutions during the hot finishing rolling process,the rigid-thermoviscoplastic finite element method(FEM) has been combined with dynamic recrystallization,static recrystallization,and grain growth models. 5COMPUTER SIMULATION OF PHASE SEPARATION IN CaO-MgO-Fe_2O_3-Al_2O_3-SiO_2 GLASS显示文摘The fractal and spinodal decomposition models combined Monte Carlo method were used in computer simulation of phase separation from CaO MgO Fe 2O 3 Al 2O 3 SiO 2 glass. The fractal dimension was applied to quantitative analysis. The mechanism of phase separation was investigated. The results showed that the fractal dimensions and simulated micrographs of phase separation were in good agreement with the experimental results.
