1Blocking FSH inhibits hepatic cholesterol biosynthesis and reduces serum cholesterol显示文摘Menopause is associated with dyslipidemia and an increased risk of cardio-cerebrovascular disease.The classic view assumes that the underlying mechanism of dyslipidemia is attributed to an insufficiency of estrogen.In addition to a decrease in estrogen, circulating follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH)levels become elevated at menopause.In this study,we find that blocking FSH reduces serum cholesterol via inhibiting hepatic cholesterol biosynthesis.First,epidemiological results show that the serum FSH levels are positively correlated with the serum total cholesterol levels,even after adjustment by considering the effects of serum estrogen,in addition,the prevalence of hypercholesterolemia is significantly higher in peri-menopausal women than that in premenopausal women.Furthermore,we generated a mouse model of FSH elevation by intraperitoneally injecting exogenous FSH into ovariectomized (OVX)mice,in which a normal level of estrogen (E2)was maintained by exogenous supplementation. Consistently,the results indicate that FSH,independent of estrogen,increases the serum cholesterol level in this mouse model. Moreover,blocking FSH signaling by anti-FSHβ antibody or ablating the FSH receptor (FSHR)gene could effectively prevent hypercholesterolemia induced by FSH injection or high-cholesterol diet feeding.Mechanistically,FSH,via binding to hepatic FSHRs, activates the Gi2α/β-arrestin-2/Akt pathway and subsequently inhibits the binding of FoxO1 with the SREBP-2 promoter,thus preventing FoxO1 from repressing SREBP-2 gene transcription.This effect,in turn,results in the upregulation of SREBP-2,which drives HMGCR nascent transcription and de novo cholesterol biosynthesis,leading to the increase of cholesterol accumulation.This study uncovers that blocking FSH signaling might be a new strategy for treating hypercholesterolemia during menopause, particularly for women in peri-menopause characterized by FSH elevation only.Yanjing Guo Meng Zhao Tao Bo Shizhan Ma Zhongshang Yuan Wenbin Chen Zhao He Xu Hou Jun Liu Zhenhai Zhang Qiang Zhu Qiangxiu Wang Xiaoyan Lin Zhongli Yang Min Cui Lu Liu Yujie Li Chunxiao Yu Xiaoyi Qi Qian Wang Haiqing Zhang Qingbo Guan Lifang Zhao Shimeng Xuan Huili Yan Yanliang Lin Li Wang Qihang Li Yongfeng Song Ling Gao Jiajun Zhao 2019Cell Research2019,29,2:16

5Recent progress on the hydrogen storage properties of ZrCo-based alloys applied in International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor(ITER)显示文摘Under the development of International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor(ITER) system aimed at realizing the controllable fusion reaction to solve the energy crisis fundamentally, there is an urgent need to find an appropriate material for tritium handling. ZrCo alloy is considered to be a promising candidate for the storage and delivery of hydrogen isotopes due to the favorable characteristics such as low plateau pressure for absorption, high dissociation pressure at moderate temperature and better ability of trapping ~3He. However, the hydrogen induced disproportionation and the slower recovery/deliverty rate of ZrCo-based alloys have limited their further application in ITER system. This review summarizes the efforts towards enhancing the hydrogen storage properties of ZrCo-based alloys including element substitution, surface modification, disproportionation mechanism investigation and the isotope effect study. Element substitution and surface modification play positive role to improve the anti-disproportionation ability and kinetic property of the alloys. However, the ZrCo-based alloys require to be further modified by more attempts such as new composition, novelty modification method or catalyst addition in order to better satisfy the application demands for tritium handling. 8Optimizing the electromagnetic wave absorption performance of designed hollow CoFe_(2)O_(4)/CoFe@C microspheres显示文摘Whereas hollow composites present some superiorities like abundant micro interfaces,outstanding impedance matching as the responses of electromagnetic wave(EMW),but versatile designs including crystal transformation,heterogeneous structures and magnetic exchange coupling to further contribution are even not designed or stressed together in previous literatures.In this article,rational design on the hollow CoFe_(2)O_(4)/CoFe@C architecture has been conducted by a sequential process of self-sacrifice by combustion,in-suit polymerization and calcination.Results of morphology observation exhibit that heterogeneous CoFe_(2)O_(4)/CoFe@C composites were generated via crystal transformation from CoFe_(2)O_(4) to CoFe alloys with encapsulated carbon,together with ultimate growth of crystal particles.As for three carbon-based architectures,relatively low-graphitization carbon layers are favorable for enhancing impedance matching and polarization relaxation,but suppressing the conductive loss essentially.Moderate carbon content endows sample S2 with the maximum magnetic saturation(Ms)of 152.4 emu g^(-1).The optimized RL of sample S3 is up to-51 dB with 30 wt%loading,and the effective absorption band(EAB)is of 5.9 GHz at the thickness of 2.17 mm,while 6.0 GHz can be reached at 2.5 mm.Therefore,this hollow multi-interfaces design definitely shed light on novel structure for new excellent absorbers.Jianwen Ge Shimeng Liu Li Liu Yu Cui Fandi Meng Yixing Li Xuefeng Zhang Fuhui Wang 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,22:1
9Perilipin 2 and lipid droplets provide reciprocal stabilization显示文摘The lipid droplet (LD)-associated protein adipose differentiation-related protein (ADRP or PLIN2) is required for the formation and stability of the LD organelle, whereas its biological roles are still obscure. Herein, we show that PLIN2 is the most abundant protein on the lipid droplets (LDs) of mouse myoblast cell line C2C12. Both the expression of PLIN2 and the accumulation of LDs were up-regulated in a time- and dose-dependent manner when the cells were treated with oleate (OA). The protein level of PLIN2 was positively correlated with the formation of LDs, suggesting that LDs stabilize PLIN2. Furthermore, knocking out PLIN2 in C2C12 cells led to enlarged LDs and higher triacylglycerol hydrolysis activity. The isolated PLIN2 null LDs became closely contact w让h mitochondria and other cellular organelles. Additionally mitochondrial activity was suppressed by OA in PLIN2 null cells. 10Profile error compensation in precision grinding of ellipsoid optical surface显示文摘Optical glass elements with the ellipsoidal surface are used in many critical aerospace instruments,such as satellites,telescope and cameras.Their optical performance is mainly affected by profile accuracy and surface quality.In this paper,a rectangular ellipsoid surface is precisely ground on a BK7 optical glass blank by grating scanning grinding path with a three-axis CNC precision surface grinder.A profile error compensation procedure for ellipsoidal grinding is proposed based on the error analysis about the primary error sources in the XY and YZ projection planes during the grinding process.The mathematical prediction models of the wheel arc profile error,the measurement and wear error of the grinding wheel radiuses are established.By applying the proposed error compensation procedure,the profile accuracy of the ellipsoidal surface was improved from 4 lm to 2 lm in the XY plane,and improved from 15 lm to 5 lm in the YZ plane.Shimeng YU Jiahao ZHU Peng YAO Chuanzhen HUANG 2021Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2021,34,4:1
11Nutritional Value Evaluation of Saccharum spontaneum L. Germplasm Resources显示文摘The contents of dry matter, crude fat, crude protein, neutral detergent fiber, acid detergent fiber, crude ash, Ca and P in 43 Saccharum spontaneum L.germplasms during the vegetative period were determined. Among them, the crude protein, crude fat, neutral detergent fiber, acid detergent fiber, P and Ca contents were treated as the judging indicators. The nutritional value evaluation was carried out with the analytic hierarchy process(AHP). The results showed A49(Guangxi)had the highest nutritional value. Its dry matter, crude protein, crude fat, crude ash,neutral detergent fiber, acid detergent fiber, Ca and P contents were 32.35%,7.20%, 4.06%, 8.07%, 75.81%, 50.72%, 0.23% and 0.16% respectively. While A3(Guangdong) had the lowest nutritional value. Its dry matter, crude protein, crude fat, crude ash, neutral detergent fiber, acid detergent fiber, Ca and P contents were32.24%, 4.62%, 0.51%, 6.38%, 46.40%, 40.02%, 0.15% and 0.09% respectively.The crude protein content differed significantly among different germplasms. A48 had the highest crude protein content(9.11%), and A14 had the lowest crude protein content(3.72%). Based on the evaluation results, the 43 Saccharum spontaneum L.germplasms were divided into 3 groups: high-nutritional value type, moderate-nutritional value type and low-nutritional value type. 13Hierarchical carbon nanosheet confined defective MoS_(x) cathode towards long-cycling zinc-ion-battery显示文摘Aqueous zinc-ion batteries(ZIBs)have attracted increasing attention due to their low cost and high safety.MoS_(2) is a promising cathode material for aqueous ZIBs due to its favorable Zn^(2+)accommodation ability.However,the structural strain and large volume changes during intercalation/deintercalation lead to exfoliation of active materials from substrate and cause irreversible capacity fading.In this work,a highly stable cathode was developed by designing a hierarchical carbon nanosheet-confined defective MoS_(x)material(CNS@MoS_(x)).This cathode material exhibits an excellent cycling stability with high capacity retention of 88.3%and~100%Coulombic efficiency after 400 cycles at 1.2 A·g^(-1),much superior compared to bare MoS_(2).Density functional theory(DFT)calculations combined with experiments illustrate that the promising electrochemical properties of CNS@MoS_(x)are due to the unique porous conductive structure of CNS with abundant active sites to anchor MoS_(x)via strong chemical bonding,enabling MoS_(x)to be firmly confined on the substrate.Moreover,this unique hierarchical complex structure ensures the fast migration of Zn^(2+)within MoS_(x)interlayer.Xiaoqi Wang Shimeng Zhang Rui Yang Shengchi Bai Jianbo Li Yu Wu Bowen Jin Xu Jin Mingfei Shao Bo Wang 2023Nano Research2023,16,7:0
