1Satellite lithium-ion battery remaining useful life estimation with an iterative updated RVM fused with the KF algorithm显示文摘Lithium-ion batteries have become the third-generation space batteries and are widely utilized in a series of spacecraft.Remaining Useful Life(RUL) estimation is essential to a spacecraft as the battery is a critical part and determines the lifetime and reliability.The Relevance Vector Machine(RVM) is a data-driven algorithm used to estimate a battery's RUL due to its sparse feature and uncertainty management capability.Especially, some of the regressive cases indicate that the RVM can obtain a better short-term prediction performance rather than long-term prediction.As a nonlinear kernel learning algorithm, the coefficient matrix and relevance vectors are fixed once the RVM training is conducted.Moreover, the RVM can be simply influenced by the noise with the training data.Thus, this work proposes an iterative updated approach to improve the long-term prediction performance for a battery's RUL prediction.Firstly, when a new estimator is output by the RVM, the Kalman filter is applied to optimize this estimator with a physical degradation model.Then, this optimized estimator is added into the training set as an on-line sample, the RVM model is re-trained, and the coefficient matrix and relevance vectors can be dynamically adjusted to make next iterative prediction.Experimental results with a commercial battery test data set and a satellite battery data set both indicate that the proposed method can achieve a better performance for RUL estimation.Yuchen SONG Datong LIU Yandong HOU Jinxiang YU Yu PENG 2018Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2018,31,1:29

3Recent Advances in Closed Loop Spray Cooling and its Application in Airborne Systems显示文摘In recent years,the problem of heat dissipation in airborne directed energy weapons has attracted considerable research interest.Spray cooling can be applied to cool airborne directed energy weapons,owing to its several advantages such as a large heat transfer coefficient,absence of boiling hysteresis and uniform surface temperature.To examine the potential of an airborne spray cooling system,the typical high heat flux dissipation methods were compared,and the state of the art research on spray cooling was reviewed.This review was focused on studies related to the spray cooling hydrodynamic mechanism,experimental studies of closed loop spray cooling,numerical simulation studies about spray cooling and the identification of the factors influencing spray cooling systems,and investigations related to the multiple nozzle spray cooling technology and heat transfer correlation predictions.Overall,there is a need for further research to investigate the failure phenomenon after the critical state,matching operation of the total system and microscopic characteristics of airborne specific parameters.XU Xinjie WANG Yu JIANG Yanlong LIU Jinxiang YUAN Xiaolei 2021Journal of Thermal Science2021,30,1:3
4A Review of FPGA-Based Custom Computing Architecture for Convolutional Neural Network Inference显示文摘Convolutional neural network(CNN)has been widely adopted in many tasks.Its inference process is usually applied on edge devices where the computing resources and power consumption are limited.At present,the performance of general processors cannot meet the requirement for CNN models with high computation complexity and large number of parameters.Field-programmable gate array(FPGA)-based custom computing architecture is a promising solution to further enhance the CNN inference performance.The software/hardware co-design can effectively reduce the computing overhead,and improve the inference performance while ensuring accuracy.In this paper,the mainstream methods of CNN structure design,hardwareoriented model compression and FPGA-based custom architecture design are summarized,and the improvement of CNN inference performance is demonstrated through an example.Challenges and possible research directions in the future are concluded to foster research efforts in this domain.PENG Xiyuan YU Jinxiang YAO Bowen LIU Liansheng PENG Yu 2021Chinese Journal of Electronics2021,30,1:3
5The flexural property and its synergistic mechanism of multibody molded beetle elytron plates显示文摘To improve the applications of beetle elytron plates(BEPs,which are biomimetic sandwich plates inspired by beetle elytra),the flexural performance and its synergistic mechanism of multibody molded BEPs were investigated via cantilever testing and finite element method(FEM).The results are summarized as follows.(1)Although debonding damage causes failure of the multibody molded BEPs and honeycomb plate and the reasonable range of trabecular size for BEPs is narrow,both the optimal loading capacity per mass and failure deformation of the BEPs are over two times those of the honeycomb plate.(2)A flexural synergistic mechanism is revealed in the trabecular-honeycomb core structure of BEPs;this mechanism causes the maximum deformation of core structure to gradually transfer from the honeycomb wall to the trabeculae with the increase inη(the ratio of the trabecular radius to the distance between the center points of two trabeculae),which means the different stretching behaviors in these core structures.(3)Unlike the compressive mechanism of BEPs,by controlling and balancing the deformation degrees of the trabeculae and honeycomb walls,the flexural mechanism achieves a minimum core deformation and an optimal flexural performance.These results suggest a qualitative relationship between the deformation behavior of trabecular-honeycomb core structure and bending performance of the whole BEP,and provide a solid foundation for subsequent research and the considerable application potential of this biomimetic sandwich structure in many fields.YU XinDi ZHANG XiaoMing CHEN JinXiang ZHAO CaiQi ZHAO TiDong FU YaQin 2020Science China(Technological Sciences)2020,63,5:2
6Molecular simulations of charged complex fluids: A review显示文摘Molecular simulation plays an increasingly important role in studying the properties of complex fluid systems containing charges,such as ions,piezoelectric materials,ionic liquids,ionic surfactants,polyelectrolytes,zwitterionic materials,nucleic acids,proteins,biomembranes and etc.,where the electrostatic interactions are of special significance.Several methods have been available for treating the electrostatic interactions in explicit and implicit solvent models.Accurate and efficient treatment of such interactions has therefore always been one of the most challenging issues in classical molecular dynamics simulations due to their inhomogeneity and long-range characteristics.Currently,two major challenges remain in the application field of electrostatic interactions in molecular simulations;(i)improving the representation of electrostatic interactions while reducing the computational costs in molecular simulations;(ii)revealing the role of electrostatic interactions in regulating the specific properties of complex fluids.In this review,the calculation methods of electrostatic interactions,including basic principles,applicable conditions,advantages and disadvantages are summarized and compared.Subsequently,the specific role of electrostatic interactions in governing the properties and behaviors of different complex fluids is emphasized and explained.Finally,challenges and perspective on the computational study of charged systems are given.Zhiyong Xu Zhongjin He Xuebo Quan Delin Sun Zhaohong Miao Hai Yu Shengjiang Yang Zheng Chen Jinxiang Zeng Jian Zhou 2021Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2021,34,3:2

13Vibration properties and transverse shear characteristics of multibody molded beetle elytron plates显示文摘This study utilized cantilever experiments to investigate the vibration properties of multibody molded beetle elytron plates(BEPs),which is a type of biomimetic sandwich plate inspired by beetle elytra;the corresponding shear characteristics were further revealed by a finite element method(FEM). The following results were obtained:(1) Experimental results suggest that the maximum displacement response of the BEPs was about 25% less than that of a honeycomb plate with almost the same first natural frequency,which indicates that a BEP with reasonable structural parameters has the potential to replace a honeycomb plate to achieve better vibration performance;(2) The trabecular structure not only enhanced the shear stiffness of the core layer in column areas but also the skins in the honeycomb wall areas,thus changing the distribution of the shear force in the different components and improving the mechanical performances of the BEP;and(3) Although this enhancement effect from trabeculae was not uniform,the average shear force proportion of the skins(or core structure) in the entire BEP structure was very close to that of the honeycomb plate. 19Direct synthesis of a disinfectant with fresh scent of green plants by semi-hydrogenation of alkynol on Pd single-atom catalysts显示文摘Alcohol-based disinfectants have protected people in the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic,but olfactory stimuli of ethanol may evoke unpleasant memories associated with stressful situations in the devastating infectious disease.The smell of ethanol in household cleaning and disinfectant products can be covered up by the fragrance additives,and 3-hexenol is especially appreciated for the characteristic,strong odor of green plants.Industrial production of 3-hexenol relies on the selective hydrogenation of 3-hexyn-1-ol,where Lindlar catalyst is normally used for the superior selectivity.Although achieving such catalytic transformation in ethanol solution seems as a direct way to produce a disinfectant with green aroma,a popular consumer product in the post-COVID era,severe leaching of toxic Pb hinders Lindlar catalyst as a promising candidate.We find that the Fe_(2)O_(3) supported Pd single-atom catalyst is highly selective to fulfill semi-hydrogenation of 3-hexyn-1-ol in 75%ethanol,and the aforementioned household product is readily generated after filtrating the stable,solid catalyst out of reaction solution.Single-atom catalysts have been frequently utilized for fine-chemical synthesis,while in this work they make stunning debut in practical manufacture of daily used products.Yan Jiang Xuetong Yu Yuxia Ji Xunzhu Jiang Yalin Guo Tianbo Li Liang Gao Rui Lang Yanxiong Fang Botao Qiao Jinxiang Dong 2024Nano Research2024,17,5:0
