3Component analysis of Chinese medicine and advances in fuming-washing therapy for knee osteoarthritis via unsupervised data mining methods显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To analyze the component law of Chinese medicines in fuming-washing therapy for knee osteoarthritis(KOA), and develop new fuming-washing prescriptions for KOA through unsupervised data mining methods.METHODS: Chinese medicine recipes for fuming-washing therapy for KOA were collected and recorded in a database. The correlation coefficient among herbs, core combinations of herbs, andnew prescriptions were analyzed using modified mutual information, complex system entropy cluster, and unsupervised hierarchical clustering, respectively.RESULTS: Based on analysis of 345 Chinese medicine recipes for fuming-washing therapy, 68 herbs occurred frequently, 33 herb pairs occurred frequently, and 12 core combinations were found.Five new fuming-washing recipes for KOA were developed.CONCLUSION: Chinese medicines for fuming-washing therapy of KOA mainly consist of wind-dampness-dispelling and cold-dispersing herbs, blood-activating and stasis-resolving herbs,and wind-dampness-dispelling and heat-clearing herbs. The treatment of fuming-washing therapy for KOA also includes dispelling wind-dampness and dispersing cold, activating blood and resolving stasis, and dispelling wind-dampness and clearing heat. 4Curative effect of warming kidney and fortifying spleen recipe on diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To observe the curative effect of a recipe for warming the kidney and fortifying the spleen on diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome(IBS-D).METHODS:This multi-center,double-blind,randomized,and controlled trial included 240 patients that met the inclusion criterion and were then divided into two groups of 120.Patients in the treatment group(group A)took modified Sishen Wan orally for warming the kidney and fortifying the spleen and patients in the control group(group B)took a placebo,Chao Maiya,for 4 weeks.28 days after withdrawal,there was a 6-month follow-up to observe patient recurrence condition.The total effective rate,curative effect,and recurrence rate were evaluated after treatment.RESULTS:There was statistical difference(P<0.01)between the two groups in total effective rate(92.24%in the treatment group and 49.07%in the control group),in curative effect of TCM syndrome(90.52%and 47.22%,respectively),and in the recurrence rate(15.79%and 56.86%,respectively)within6 months after treatment.CONCLUSION:Modified Sishen Wan,for warming the kidney and fortifying the spleen,can effectively treat IBS-D and better control its recurrence.Xiaolan Su Yanping Tang Jing Zhang Yuebin Dong Wei Wei Yibing Bai Yong Liu 2013Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2013,33,5:22
5The Epidemiological Characteristics of an Outbreak of 2019 Novel Coronavirus Diseases (COVID-19)--China, 2020显示文摘Background:An outbreak of 2019 novel coronavirus diseases(COVID-19)in Wuhan,Hubei Province,China has spread quickly nationwide.Here,we report results of a descriptive,exploratory analysis of all cases diagnosed as of February 11,2020.Methods:All COVID-19 cases reported through February 11,2020 were extracted from China’s Infectious Disease Information System.Analyses included the following:(1)summary of patient characteristics;(2)examination of age distributions and sex ratios;(3)calculation of case fatality and mortality rates;(4)geo-temporal analysis of viral spread;(5)epidemiological curve construction;and (6)subgroup analysis.Results:A total of 72,314 patient records—44,672(61.8%)confirmed cases,16,186(22.4%)suspected cases,10,567(14.6%)clinically diagnosed cases(Hubei Province only),and 889 asymptomatic cases(1.2%)-contributed data for the analysis.Among confirmed cases,most were aged 30–79 years(86.6%),diagnosed in Hubei(74.7%),and considered mild(80.9%).A total of 1,023 deaths occurred among confirmed cases for an overall case fatality rate of 2.3%.The COVID-19 spread outward from Hubei Province sometime after December 2019,and by February 11,2020,1,386 counties across all 31 provinces were affected.The epidemic curve of onset of symptoms peaked around January 23–26,then began to decline leading up to February 11.A total of 1,716 health workers have become infected and 5 have died(0.3%).Conclusions:COVID-19 epidemic has spread very quickly taking only 30 days to expand from Hubei to the rest of China's Mainland.With many people returning from a long holiday,China needs to prepare for the possible rebound of the epidemic. 6Output feedback control of hypersonic vehicles based on neural network and high gain observer显示文摘In this paper,the output feedback control problem for a genetic hypersonic vehicle is considered under the restriction that only the vehicle's velocity and altitude are measurable. High gain observers (HGO) are utilized to provide estimation signals for unmeasurable derivatives of the vehicle's velocity and altitude. Neural network based feedforward function is designed to compensate for model uncertainties. The proposed control design require less knowledge of the hypersonic vehicle's dynamic model. A comprehensive stability analysis of the closed loop system under the output feedback control is carried to prove that the proposed control law yields semiglobal uniformly ultimately bounded tracking while keeping all the closed loop signals bounded. 7Orthogonal analysis of water model study on the optimization of flow control devices in a six-strand tundish显示文摘Improper flow control devices in a multi-strand tundish can cause some problems, for example, liquid steel cannot reach every nozzle at the same time and the liquid steel in nozzles far away from the entry zone has a lower temperature. The water model experiment of a six-strand tundish of Tianjin Iron & Steel Co. Ltd. was performed, a new 'U' type baffle was obtained, and its parameters were defined by perpendicular analysis. 8Risk analysis of dynamic control of reservoir limited water level by considering flood forecast error显示文摘Flood control forecast operation mode is one of the main ways for determining the upper bound of dynamic control of flood limited water level during flood season. The floodwater utilization rate can be effectively increased by using flood forecast information and flood control forecast operation mode. In this paper, Dahuofang Reservoir is selected as a case study. At first, the distribution pattern and the bound of forecast error which is a key source of risk are analyzed. Then, based on the definition of flood risk, the risk of dynamic control of reservoir flood limited water level within different flood forecast error bounds is studied. 9Preparation and characterization of (metal, nitrogen)-codoped TiO_2 by TiCl_4 sol-gel auto-igniting synthesis显示文摘The nitrogen-doped and (metal, nitrogen)-codoped TiO2 photocatalysts (metal = Ag, Ce, Fe, La) were synthe- sized by sol-gel auto-igniting synthesis (SAS) with the complex compound sol of TiCl4-NH4NO3-citri acid-metal nitrate- NH3?H2O as a precursor. The products were characterized by means of XRD, XPS, and UV-Vis diffuse reflectance spectra, and their photocatalytic activity was investigated under visible light. It was found that all the synthesized powders showed good absorption for visible light, and that the radius and alterable valence states of doping metallic cations played important roles on their photocatalytic activity. 10Study on gastric cancer blood plasma based on surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy combined with multivariate analysis显示文摘A surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) method combined with multivariate analysis was developed for non-invasive gastric cancer detection. SERS measurements were performed on two groups of blood plasma samples: one group from 32 gastric patients and the other group from 33 healthy volunteers. Tentative assignments of the Raman bands in the measured SERS spectra suggest interesting cancer-specific biomolecular changes, including an increase in the relative amounts of nucleic acid, collagen, phospholipids and phenylalanine and a decrease in the percentage of amino acids and saccharide in the blood plasma of gastric cancer patients as compared with those of healthy subjects. Principal components analysis (PCA) and linear discriminant analysis (LDA) were employed to develop effective diagnostic algorithms for classification of SERS spectra between normal and cancer plasma with high sensitivity (79.5%) and specificity (91%). A receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was employed to assess the accuracy of diagnostic algorithms based on PCA-LDA. 12Effects of relative thickness on aerodynamic characteristics of airfoil at a low Reynolds number显示文摘This study focuses on the characteristics of low Reynolds number flow around airfoil of high-altitude unmanned aerial vehicles(HAUAVs) cruising at low speed.Numerical simulation on the flows around several representative airfoils is carried out to investigate the low Reynolds number flow.The water tunnel model tests further validate the accuracy and effectiveness of the numerical method.Then the effects of the relative thickness of airfoil on aerodynamic performance are explored, using the above numerical method, by simulating flows around airfoils of different relative thicknesses(12%, 14%, 16%, 18%), as well as different locations of the maximum relative thickness(x/c = 22%, 26%, 30%, 34%), at a low Reynolds number of 5 · 105.Results show that performance of airfoils at low Reynolds number is mainly affected by the laminar separation bubble.On the premise of good stall characteristics, the value of maximum relative thickness should be as small as possible, and the location of the maximum relative thickness ought to be closer to the trailing edge to obtain fine airfoil performance.The numerical method is feasible for the simulation of low Reynolds number flow.The study can help to provide a basis for the design of low Reynolds number airfoil.Ma Dongli Zhao Yanping Qiao Yuhang Li Guanxiong 2015Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2015,28,4:13
13A review of soil erodibility in water and wind erosion research显示文摘Soil erodibility is an important index to evaluate the soil sensitivity to erosion. The research on soil erodibility is a crucial tache in understanding the mechanism of soil erosion. Soil erodibility can be evaluated by measuring soil physiochemical properties, scouring experiment, simulated rainfall experiment, plot experiment and wind tunnel experiment. We can use soil erosion model and nomogram to calculate soil erodibility. Many soil erodibility indices and formulae have been put forward. Soil erodibility is a complex concept, it is influenced by many factors, such as soil properties and human activities. Several obstacles restrict the research of soil erodibility. Firstly, the research on soil erodibility is mainly focused on farmland; Secondly, soil erodibility in different areas cannot be compared sufficiently; and thirdly, the research on soil erodibility in water-wind erosion is very scarce. 15Recent Progress in the Fabrication, Properties, and Devices of Heterostructures Based on 2D Materials显示文摘With a large number of researches being conducted on two?dimen?sional(2D) materials, their unique properties in optics, electrics, mechanics, and magnetics have attracted increasing attention. Accordingly, the idea of combining distinct functional 2D materials into heterostructures naturally emerged that pro?vides unprecedented platforms for exploring new physics that are not accessible in a single 2D material or 3D heterostructures. Along with the rapid development of controllable, scalable, and programmed synthesis techniques of high?quality 2D heterostructures, various heterostructure devices with extraordinary performance have been designed and fabricated, including tunneling transistors, photodetectors, and spintronic devices. 16Impacts of Climatic Factors on Runoff Coefficients in Source Regions of the Huanghe River显示文摘Runoff coefficients of the source regions of the Huanghe River in 1956–2000 were analyzed in this paper. In the 1990s runoff of Tangnaihai Hydrologic Station of the Huanghe River experienced a serious decrease, which had at- tracted considerable attention. Climate changes have important impact on the water resources availability. From the view of water cycling, runoff coefficients are important indexes of water resources in a particular catchment. Kalinin baseflow separation technique was improved based on the characteristics of precipitation and streamflow. After the separation of runoff coefficient (R/P), baseflow coefficient (Br/P) and direct runoff coefficient (Dr/P) were estimated. Statistic analyses were applied to assessing the impact of precipitation and temperature on runoff coefficients (including Dr/P, Br/P and R/P). The results show that in the source regions of the Huanghe River, mean annual baseflow coefficient was higher than mean annual direct runoff coefficient. Annual runoff coefficients were in direct proportion to annual pre- cipitation and in inverse proportion to annual mean temperature. The decrease of runoff coefficients in the 1990s was closely related to the decrease in precipitation and increase in temperature in the same period. Over different sub-basins of the source regions of the Huanghe River, runoff coefficients responded differently to precipitation and temperature. In the area above Jimai Hydrologic Station where annual mean temperature is –3.9oC, temperature is the main factor in- fluencing the runoff coefficients. Runoff coefficients were in inverse relation to temperature, and precipitation had nearly no impact on runoff coefficients. In subbasin between Jimai and Maqu Hydrologic Station Dr/P was mainly affected by precipitation while R/P and Br/P were both significantly influenced by precipitation and temperature. In the area be-tween Maqu and Tangnaihai hydrologic stations all the three runoff coefficients increased with the rising of annual precipitation, while direct runoff coefficient was inversely proportional to temperature. 17First observations of low latitude whistlers using WHU ELF/VLF receiver system显示文摘The recently developed high-quality WHU ELF/VLF receiver system has been deployed in Suizhou, China(geomagnetic latitude 21.81°N, longitude 174.44°E, L=1.16) to detect low latitude extremely-low-frequency(ELF: 0.3-3 k Hz) and very-low-frequency(VLF: 3-30 k Hz) emissions originating from either natural or artificial sources since February 2016. During the first-month operation of the receiver system, a total of 3039 clear whistlers have been recorded at this low latitude station with the majority(97.0%) occurring on 28 February and 1 March 2016. Observed whistlers manifest various types including single one-hop, echo train, multi-flash, and multi-path. They tend to intensify after local midnight, reach the peak around 04-05 LT, and then weaken quickly. Both features of lower cutoff frequencies of most whistlers below ~1.6 k Hz and almost uniform dispersion for many successive multi-flash whistlers suggest that these whistlers propagate along the geomagnetic field lines in the duct mode. 18Reproductive management through integration of PGD and MPS-based noninvasive prenatal screening/diagnosis for a family with GJB2-associated hearing impairment显示文摘A couple with a proband child of GJB2(encoding the gap junction protein connexin 26)-associated hearing impairment and a previous pregnancy miscarriage sought for a reproductive solution to bear a healthy child. Our study aimed to develop a customized preconception-to-neonate care trajectory to fulfill this clinical demand by integrating preimplantation genetic diagnosis(PGD), noninvasive prenatal testing(NIPT), and noninvasive prenatal diagnosis(NIPD) into the strategy. Auditory and genetic diagnosis of the proband child was carried out to identify the disease causative mutations. The couple then received in-vitro-fertilization treatment, and eight embryos were obtained for day 5 biopsy. PGD was performed by short-tandem-repeat linkage analysis and Sanger sequencing of GJB2 gene. Transfer of a GJB2 c.235del C heterozygous embryo resulted in a singleton pregnancy. At the 13 th week of gestation, genomic DNA(g DNA) from the trio family and cell-free DNA(cf DNA) from maternal plasma were obtained for assessment of fetal chromosomal aneuploidy and GJB2 mutations. NIPT and NIPD showed the absence of chromosomal aneuploidy and GJB2-associated disease in the fetus, which was later confirmed by invasive procedures and postnatal genetic/auditory diagnosis. 19Spatial and temporal variations of macro-and mesozoo-plankton community in the Huanghai Sea (Yellow Sea) and East China Sea in summer and winter显示文摘The study was conducted during two cruises of June–August 2006 (summer),and January–February 2007 (winter) in the Huanghai (Yellow) Sea and East China Sea.Spatial and temporal variations of zooplankton abundance,biomass and community structure and its relation to currents and water masses over the continental shelf were examined.A total of 584 zooplankton species/taxa and 28 planktonic larvae were identified during the two surveys.Copepods were the most abundant component among these identified groups.Zooplankton abundance and biomass fluctuated widely and showed distinct heterogeneity in the shelf waters.Five zooplankton assemblages were identified with hierarchical cluster analysis during this study,and they were Huanghai Sea Assemblage,Changjiang Estuary Assemblage,Coastal Assemblage,East China Sea Mixed-water Assemblage and East China Sea Offshore Assemblage.Seasonal changes of zooplankton community composition and its geographical distribution were detected,and the locations of the faunistic areas overlap quite well with water masses and current systems.So we suggest that the zooplankton community structure and its changes were determined by the water masses in the Huanghai Sea and East China Sea.The results of this research can provide fundamental information for the long-term monitoring of zooplankton ecology in the shelf of Huanghai Sea and East China Sea.CHEN Hongju QI Yanping LIU Guangxing 2011Acta Oceanologica Sinica2011,30,2:11
