| 1 | The effects of land consolidation on the ecological connectivity based on ecosystem service value: A case study of Da'an land consolidation project in Jilin province显示文摘Land consolidation has a profound impact on landscape patterns and ecological functions at various scales through engineering and biological measures. In recent years, China invests more than 100 billion RMB yuan on land consolidation each year. To understand how land consolidation affects landscape patterns and ecosystems, we investigated the ecosystem service value and the ecological connectivity in a consolidated area of Da'an city from 2008 to 2014 using a revised ecological connectivity index. The results indicated that land consolidation has certain negative influences on the ecosystem services in this area. The total ecosystem service value will decrease by nearly 30% in the late stage of consolidation. This decrease is caused by the loss of ecosystem service of the wetland and grassland, despite a sensible increase of cultivated land. In addition, land consolidation could change the ecological connectivity as well as the land use structure. Up to 85% of the entire area will be in low connectivity in the late stage of consolidation, representing a 6.23% increase in the total coverage compared to pre-consolidation. Finally, the different connectivity landscape and their key areas can be identified by the revised ecological connectivity index effectively. This study is helpful to trace out the relationships between landscape pattern and ecological process, and provides insights for ecological planning and designing of land consolidation in this area. | 3 | Construction and external validation of a nomogram that predicts lymph node metastasis in early gastric cancer patients using preoperative parameters显示文摘Objective: To create a nomogram to predict the incidence of lymph node metastasis(LNM) in early gastric cancer(EGC) patients and to externally validate the nomogram.Methods: To construct the nomogram,we retrospectively analyzed a primary cohort of 272 EGC patients.Univariate analysis and a binary logistic regression were performed.A nomogram predicting the incidence of LNM in EGC patients was created.The discrimination ability of the nomogram was measured using the concordance index(c-index),and the nomogram was also calibrated.Then,another prospective cohort of 81 patients was analyzed to validate the nomogram.Results: In the primary cohort,LNM was pathologically confirmed in 37(13.6%) patients.In multivariate analysis,the presence of an ulcer,the maximum lesion diameter observed via gastroscopy,the thickness of the lesion observed via endoscopic ultrasonography,and the presence of enlarged lymph nodes on computed tomography(CT) were independent risk factors for LNM.A nomogram was then created based on the regression model with the c-index of 0.905,and the calibration curve of the nomogram fell approximately on the ideal 45-degree line.The cut-off score of the nomogram was 110,and the sensitivity,specificity,positive predictive and negative predictive values of the nomogram in the primary cohort were 81.1%,86.0%,47.6% and 96.7%,respectively,and in the prospective validation cohort were 75.0%,91.0%,60.0% and 95.5%,respectively.The calibration curve of the external validation cohort was almost on the 45-degree line.Conclusions: We developed an effective nomogram predicting the incidence of LNM for EGC patients. | Yinan Zhang Yiqiang Liu Ji Zhang Xiaojiang Wu Xin Ji Tao Fu Ziyu Li Qi Wu Zhaode Bu Jiafu Ji | 2018 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2018,30,6: | 12 |
| 4 | Prognostic role of lymph node metastasis in early gastric cancer显示文摘Objective: To clarify the relationship between clinicopathological features and lymph node metastasis and to propose the potential indications of lymph node metastasis for prognosis in early gastric cancer(EGC) patients. Methods: We retrospectively observed 226 EGC patients with lymph node resection, and analyzed the associations between lymph node metastasis and clinicopathological parameters using the chi-square test in univariate analysis and logistic regression analysis in multivariate analysis. Overall survival analysis was determined using the Kaplan-Meier and log-rank test. We conducted multivariate prognosis analysis using the Cox proportional hazards model.Results: Of all the EGC patients, 7.5%(17/226) were histologically shown to have lymph node metastasis. The differentiation, lymphovascular invasion and depth of invasion were independent risk factors for lymph node metastasis in EGC. The 5- and 10-year survival rates were significantly lower in patients with lymph node metastasis than in those without and the patients also had shorter progress-free survival time. Lymph node metastasis and tumor size were independent prognostic factors for EGC. The status of the lymph nodes was a significant factor in predicting recurrence or metastasis after surgery. | 7 | Use of near-infrared reflectance spectroscopy for the rapid determination of the digestible energy and metabolizable energy content of corn fed to growing pigs显示文摘Background: The ability of near-infrared reflectance spectroscopy(NIRS) to determine the digestible energy(DE)and metabolizable energy(ME) content of corn fed to growing pigs was tested. One hundred and seventeen corn samples, comprising different planting regions and varieties were collected from all over China in a three-year period. The samples were randomly split into a calibration set(n = 88) and a validation set(n = 29). The actual and calculated DE and ME content of the corn samples was determined by digestion-metabolism experiments and the prediction equations of Noblet and Perez(J Anim Sci. 71:3389–98,1993). The samples were then subjected to NIRS scanning and calibrations were performed by the modified partial least square(MPLS) regression method based on77 different spectral pre-treatments. The NIRS equations based on the actually determined and calculated DE and ME were built separately and then validated using validation samples.Results: The NIRS equations obtained from actually determined DE, the coefficient of determination for calibration(RSQ_(cal)), cross-validation(R^2_(CV)), and validation(RSQ_v) were 0.89, 0.87 and 0.86, and these values for determined ME were 0.87, 0.86 and 0.86. For the NIRS equations built from calculated DE, the RSQ_(cal), R^2_(CV), and RSQvvalues were 0.88, 0.85 and 0.84, and these values for calculated ME were 0.86, 0.84 and 0.82. | 9 | Association between HER2 status and response to neoadjuvant anthracycline followed by paclitaxel plus carboplatin chemotherapy without trastuzumab in breast cancer显示文摘Background:We recently showed HER2-positive breast cancers are less likely to respond to neoadjuvant anthracycline chemotherapy.Here,we investigated whether HER2-positive breast cancers responded to sequential neoadjuvant anthracycline followed by paclitaxel plus carboplatin regimen in the absence of trastuzumab.Methods:Women(n=372) with operable primary breast cancer initially received two cycles of neoadjuvant anthracyclines,the clinical tumor response was assessed,then patients were received four cycles of paclitaxel plus carboplatin regimen.All the patients did not received trastuzumab treatment in the neoadjuvant setting.HER2 status was determined by immunohistochemistry and/or by fluorescence in situ hybridization in corebiopsy breast cancer tissue obtained before the neoadjuvant chemotherapy.Results:Eighteen percent(67/372) of patients achieved a pathologic complete response(p CR) in their breast.HER2-positive tumors had a significant higher p CR rate than HER2-negative tumors(33.0% versus 13.5%,P<0.001) in this cohort of 372 patients,and positive HER2 status remained an independent favorable predictor of p CR in a multivariate analysis [odds ratio(OR),2.26;95% confidence interval(CI),1.18 to 4.36,P=0.015].Furthermore,patients who responded to initial anthracycline regimens were more likely to respond to paclitaxel plus carboplatin than patients who did not(p CR,27.2% versus 14.6%,P=0.005).Patients with HER2-positive tumors exhibited a significant higher p CR rate than did patients with HER2-negative tumors in both anthracycline response group(40.5% versus 20.0%,P=0.025) and anthracycline non-response group(28.3% versus 11.3%,P=0.002).Conclusions:Under the circumstance of no trastuzumab treatment,women with HER2-positive cancers derive a large benefit from paclitaxel-carboplatin-based neoadjuvant chemotherapy. | Lu Yao Juan Zhang Yiqiang Liu Tao Ouyang Jinfeng Li Tianfeng Wang Zhaoqing Fan Tie Fan Benyao Lin Yuntao Xie | 2015 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2015,27,6: | 3 |

| 12 | Conformance control by a microgel in a multi-layered heterogeneous reservoir during CO_(2) enhanced oil recovery process显示文摘Injecting CO_(2)into the underground for oil displacement and shortage is an important technique for carbon capture,utilization and storage(CCUS).One of the main problems during the CO_(2)injection is the channeling plugging.Finding an effective method for the gas channeling plugging is a critical issue in the CO_(2)EOR process.In this work,an acid-resistance microgel named dispersed particle gel(DPG)was characterized and its stability was tested in the CO_(2)environment.The microgel size selection strategies for the homogeneous and heterogeneous reservoirs were respectively investigated using the single core flooding and three parallel core flooding experiments.Moreover,the comparison of microgel alternate CO_(2)(MAC)injection and water alternate CO_(2)(WAC)injection in the dual core flooding experiments were presented for the investigation of the role of microgel on the conformance control in CO_(2)flooding process.The results have shown that the microgel featured with ANH and CAN groups can keep its morphology after aging 7 days in the CO_(2)environment.Where,the small microgel with unobstructed migration and large microgel with good plugging efficiency for the high permeability zone were respectively featured with the higher recovery factor in homogeneous and heterogeneous conditions,which indicate they are preferred used for the oil displacement and conformance control.Compared to WAC injection,MAC injection had a higher incremental recovery factor of 12.4%.It suggests the acid-resistance microgel would be a good candidate for the conformance control during CO_(2)flooding process. | Zheyu Liu Jian Zhang Xianjie Li Chunming Xu Xin Chen Bo Zhang Guang Zhao Han Zhang Yiqiang Li | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2022,35,3: | 2 |

The results show that near the altitude of 400 km the variations of main atmospheric compositions corre sponding to solar disturbances are more remarkable in the sunlit area than in the shade area. | 16 | Nomogram for predicting lymph node metastasis rate of submucosal gastric cancer by analyzing clinicopathological characteristics associated with lymph node metastasis显示文摘Background:To combine clinicopathological characteristics associated with lymph node metastasis for submucosal gastric cancer into a nomogram.Methods:We retrospectively analyzed 262 patients with submucosal gastric cancer who underwent D2 gastrectomy between 1996 and 2012.The relationship between lymph node metastasis and clinicopathological features was statistically analyzed.With multivariate logistic regression analysis,we made a nomogram to predict the possibility of lymph node metastasis.Receiver operating characteristic(ROC) analysis was also performed to assess the predictive value of the model.Discrimination and calibration were performed using internal validation.Results:A total number of 48(18.3%) patients with submucosal gastric cancer have pathologically lymph node metastasis.For submucosal gastric carcinoma,lymph node metastasis was associated with age,tumor location,macroscopic type,size,differentiation,histology,the existence of ulcer and lymphovascular invasion in univariate analysis(all P<0.05).The multivariate logistic regression analysis identified that age ≤50 years old,macroscopic type III or mixed,undifferentiated type,and presence of lymphovascular invasion were independent risk factors of lymph node metastasis in submucosal gastric cancer(all P<0.05).We constructed a predicting nomogram with all these factors for lymph node metastasis in submucosal gastric cancer with good discrimination [area under the curve(AUC)=0.844].Internal validation demonstrated a good discrimination power that the actual probability corresponds closely with the predicted probability.Conclusions:We developed a nomogram to predict the rate of lymph node metastasis for submucosal gastric cancer.With good discrimination and internal validation,the nomogram improved individualized predictions for assisting clinicians to make appropriated treatment decision for submucosal gastric cancer patients. | Zhixue Zheng Yinan Zhang Lianhai Zhang Ziyu Li Aiwen Wu Xiaojiang Wu Yiqiang Liu Zhaode Bu Jiafu Ji | 2015 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2015,27,6: | 2 |
| 17 | Comparative Study on the Properties of Inorganic Silicate and Organic Phenolic Prepolymer Modified Poplar Wood by Vacuum Cycle Pressurization显示文摘To enhance mechanical properties and improve flame retardancy and smoke suppression of fast-growing poplar wood in wood applications,the wood was impregnated and modified.An organic phenolic prepolymer and inorganic sodium silicate was used as contrasting impregnation modifiers and wood samples were impregnated by a bionic“respiration”method with alternating positive and negative pressure.The weight percentage gain,density increase ratio,mechanical properties(bending and compressive strength and hardness),and water absorption rate of inorganic and organic-impregnated modified poplar wood(IIMPW and OIMPW,respectively)were compared and these properties in IIMPW were found to be higher than those of OIMPW with the exception of the water absorption rate which was lower than the OIMPW.This was attributed to the superior absorption of sodium silicate that also improved the impregnation,reinforcement,and dimensional stability in the IIMPW.The chemical structure,crystalline structure,internal morphology,flame retardancy,smoke suppression,and thermal stability of IIMPW and OIMPW were characterized by FT-IR,XRD,SEM,CONE,and TGA.FT-IR and XRD results showed that,although IIMPW cellulose crystallinity reduced the most,more chemical bonds were come into being in IIMPW,which explained the better physical and mechanical properties of IIMPW.Compared with OIMPW,IIMPW had better flame retardant and smoke suppression performance. | Pengfei Guan Ping Li Yiqiang Wu Xingong Li Guangming Yuan Yingfeng Zuo | 2022 | Journal of Renewable Materials2022,10,9: | 2 |

| 19 | Tunable flexible artificial synapses:a new path toward a wearable electronic system显示文摘The flexible electronics has been deemed to be a promising approach to the wearable electronic systems.However,the mismatching between the existing flexible deices and the conventional computing paradigm results an impasse in this field.In this work,a new way to access to this goal is proposed by combining flexible devices and the neuromorphic architecture together.To achieve that,a high-performance flexible artificial synapse is created based on a carefully designed and optimized memristive transistor.The device exhibits high-performance which has near-linear non-volatile resistance change under 10,000 identical pulse signals within the 515%dynamic range,and has the energy consumption as low as 45 fJ per pulse.It also displays multiple synaptic plasticity features,which demonstrates its potential for real-time online learning.Besides,the adaptability by virtue of its threeterminal structure specifically contributes its improved uniformity,repeatability,and reduced power consumption.This work offers a very viable solution for the future wearable computing. | Kunlong Yang Sijian Yuan Yuxiang Huan Jiao Wang Li Tu Jiawei Xu Zhuo Zou Yiqiang Zhan Lirong Zheng Fernando Seoane | 2018 | npj Flexible Electronics2018,2,1: | 1 |
