| 1 | miRNA-181 regulates embryo implantation in mice through targeting leukemia inhibitory factor显示文摘Embryo implantation is a crucial step in mammalian reproduction.However,little is known regarding the physiological roles of microRNAs in the regulation of embryo implantation.Here we show that a minimum uterine expression of miR-181 is essential for the onset of embryo implantation.Both transient and prolonged transgenic expression of miR-181 led to impaired implantation,which can be rescued by exogenous administration of leukemia inhibitory factor(LIF).Mechanistically,miR-181 is able to directly target LIF and downregulate LIF expression,thereby inhibiting embryo implantation.We also show that miR-181 expression is regu-lated by the transcriptional factor Emx2,and the Emx2–miR-181 axis plays an importantrole in regulating embryo implantation.Taken together,these results reveal a novel function of miR-181 in embryo implantation through the regulation of LIF,and also indicate a potential link between miR-181 dysregulation and human embryo implantation defects. | Bo Chu Liangwen Zhong Shuang Dou Jun Wang Jianmin Li Mingwei Wang Qinghua Shi Yide Mei Mian Wu | 2015 | Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2015,7,1: | 5 |
| 2 | Transportation characteristics of gas-solid two-phase flow in a long-distance pipeline显示文摘In this study,experiments on fly ash conveying were carried out with a home-made long-distance positive-pressure pneumatic conveying system equipped with a high performance electrical capacitance tomography system to observe the transient characteristics of gas-solid two-phase flow.The experimental results indicated that sol ids throughput increased with increasing solids-gas ratio when the conveying pipeline was not plugged.Moreover,the optimum operating state was determined for the 1000 m long conveying pipeline with a throttle plate of 26 orifices.At this state the solids throughput was about 12.97 t/h.Additionally,the transportation pattern of fly ash gradually changed from sparse-dense flow to partial and plug flows with increasing conveying distance because of the conveying pressure loss.These experimental results provide important reference data for the development of pneumatic conveying technology. | Xiaoqiang Zhang Dongfeng Zhang An Wang Yide Geng | 2015 | Particuology2015,13,4: | 5 |
| 3 | Effect of addition of Al-Si eutectic alloy on microstructure and mechanical properties of Mg-12wt%Li alloy显示文摘Mg-12 Li, Mg-12 Li-3(Al-Si), Mg-12 Li-7(Al-Si) and Mg-12 Li-9(Al-Si) alloys(all in wt%) were fabricated by high frequency vacuum induction melting in a water cooled copper crucible. After subsequently hotrolling and annealing, their microstructure and mechanical properties were investigated. Experimental results show that mechanical properties of Mg-12 Li alloy were significantly improved by the addition of Al-Si eutectic alloy. | 5 | Nanoporous titanium implant surface promotes osteogenesis by suppressing osteoclastogenesis via integrin β1/FAKpY397/MAPK pathway显示文摘Macrophages and osteoclasts are both derived from monocyte/macrophage lineage,which plays as the osteoclastic part of bone metabolism.Although they are regulated by bone implant surface nanoarchitecture and involved in osseointegration,the beneath mechanism has not been simultaneously analyzed in a given surface model and their communication with osteoblasts is also blurring.Here,the effect of implant surface topography on monocyte/macrophage lineage osteoclastogenesis and the subsequent effect on osteogenesis are systematically investigated.The nanoporous surface is fabricated on titanium implant by etching and anodizing to get the nanotubes structure.The early bone formation around implant is significantly accelerated by the nanoporous surface in vivo.Meanwhile,the macrophage recruitment and osteoclast formation are increased and decreased respectively.Mechanistically,the integrin mediated FAK phosphorylation and its downstream MAPK pathway(p-p38)are significantly downregulated by the nanoporous surface,which account for the inhibition of osteoclastogenesis.In addition,the nanoporous surface can alleviate the inhibition of osteoclasts on osteogenesis by changing the secretion of clastokines,and accelerate bone regeneration by macrophage cytokine profiles.In conclusion,these data indicate that physical topography of implant surface is a critical factor modulating monocyte/macrophage lineage commitment,which provides theoretical guidance and mechanism basis for promoting osseointegration by coupling the osteogenesis and osteoclastogenesis. | Yide He Zhe Li Xin Ding Boya Xu Jinjin Wang Yi Li Fanghao Chen Fanhui Meng Wen Song Yumei Zhang | 2022 | Bioactive Materials2022,7,2: | 4 |
| 6 | The Co_3O_4 nanosheet array as support for MoS_2 as highly efficient electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction显示文摘The electrochemical hydrogen evolution reaction(HER) on a non-precious electrocatalyst in an alkaline environment is of essential importance for future renewable energy. The design of advanced electrocatalysts for HER is the most important part to reduce the cost and to enhance the efficiency of water splitting. MoS_2 is considered as one of the most promising electrocatalysts to replace the precious Pt catalyst.Herein, for the first time, we have successfully loaded MoS_2 electrocatalysts onto the Co_3O_4 nanosheet array to catalyze HER with a low onset potential of ~76 mV. | 7 | Characteristics of typhoon disturbed gaps in an old-growth tropical montane rainforest in Hainan Island, China显示文摘Disturbances that create gaps can shape the structure and function of forests. However, such disturbance regimes in Asian tropical montane rainforests remain largely unquantified. Least studied are typhoon disturbances that are attributable to climate change. We investigated gap characteristics in terms of size, age, and gapmaker to quantify the gap disturbance regimes in an intact old-growth tropical montane rainforest on Hainan Island,China. The intensity of typhoons has increased since 1949,and typhoon winds blow mostly(45.5%) from the northeast corner of Hainan Island, resulting in a higher frequency of gaps in the northeast. A total of 221 gap-makers(trees that fell to create canopy gaps) and 53 gaps were observed in a 3.16 ha old-growth rainforest. Most canopy gaps(85%)were <200 m^2. The average size of canopy gaps was smaller in the rainforest than in other tropical forests, while the average size of expanded gaps was similar to those in other tropical forests. The maximum age of gaps was 23.5 years indicating that gaps had more rapid turnover than other parts of tropical forests. The frequency distribution of gap-makers followed a lognormal distribution with a distinctive peak at three gap-makers, which was different from the inverse J-shaped curve typical of other tropical forests. Gaps were recorded mainly on slopes between 20° and 35° and wood density of gap-makers was between 0.6 and 0.7 g cm^(-3). | 8 | Safety modeling and protection for lithium-ion batteries based on artificial neural networks method under mechanical abuse显示文摘The safety of lithium-ion batteries under mechanical abuse has become one of the major obstacles affecting the development of electric vehicles. In this paper, the lithium-ion battery safety model under mechanical abuse conditions is proposed by the Back Propagation Artificial Neural Network(BP-ANN) optimized by the Genetic Algorithm(GA). By experimental and simulation results, the proposed method can effectively predict battery mechanical properties. The corresponding correlation coefficient is greater than 0.99, the failure warning model has more safety margin, and the average security margin is greater than 29%. The multi-source warning weight shows that the mechanical soft short-circuit has the greatest warning margin, followed by that of the soft short-circuit of the electrical signal. The thermal soft short-circuit has the lowest warning margin because of the low thermal conductivity. The qualitative simulation results of the battery module reveal that, when electric vehicles are subjected to mechanical abuse conditions, the rapid reduction in the state-of-charge(SOC) of the rear batteries can effectively increase the reliability of the battery module. | 9 | Mass‑Spring‑Damping Theory Based Equivalent Mechanical Model for Cylindrical Lithium‑ion Batteries under Mechanical Abuse显示文摘An equivalent mechanical model with the equivalent physical meaning of mass-spring-damping is proposed for cylindrical lithium-ion batteries through experiments and theory.The equivalent mechanical model of a cylindrical lithium-ion battery consists of a spring-damping parallel unit.Therefore,a spring-damping parallel unit connecting a damping unit in series is selected to construct the constitutive characteristics of the battery under mechanical abuse.Comparison results show that the equivalent mechanical model can more effectively describe the mechanical properties of the batteries than most cubic fitting models,of which the average relative error of the equivalent mechanical model under different states-of-charge is less than 6.75%.Combined with the proposed equivalent mechanical model,the failure process of the batteries was simulated and analyzed using LS-Dyna and HyperWorks.Under rigid rod tests,failure occurred at the core and bottom of the batteries;under hemispherical punch tests,failure occurred at the core and top,consistent with the experimental results.The average prediction error for the failure displacement under different abuse conditions is less than 4%in the simulations.The equivalent mechanical model requires only a few parameters and can be recognized easily.In the future,the model can be used in safety warning devices based on mechanical penetration. | Wenwei Wang Yiding Li Cheng Lin Sheng Yang | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2020,33,2: | 3 |
| 10 | High-efficiency normal-incidence vertical p-i-n photodetectors on a germanium-on-insulator platform显示文摘In this paper, normal incidence vertical p-i-n photodetectors on a germanium-on-insulator(GOI) platform were demonstrated. The vertical p-i-n structure was realized by ion-implanting boron and arsenic at the bottom and top of the Ge layer, respectively, during the GOI fabrication. Abrupt doping profiles were verified in the transferred high-quality Ge layer. The photodetectors exhibit a dark current density of ~47 mA∕cm^2 at-1 V and an optical responsivity of 0.39 A/W at 1550 nm, which are improved compared with state-of-the-art demonstrated GOI photodetectors. An internal quantum efficiency of ~97% indicates excellent carrier collection efficiency of the device. The photodetectors with mesa diameter of 60 μm exhibit a 3 dB bandwidth of ~1 GHz, which agrees well with theoretical calculations. The bandwidth is expected to improve to ~32 GHz with mesa diameter of 10 μm. | 11 | Comparison of inorganic chemical compositions of atmospheric TSP,PM10 and PM2.5 in northern and southern Chinese coastal cities显示文摘To compare the inorganic chemical compositions of TSP(total suspended paniculate),PM_(10)(particulate matter with an aerodynamic diameter less than 10 μm) and PM_(2.5)(particulate matter with an aerodynamic diameter less than 2.5 μm) in southern and northern cities in China,atmospheric particles were synchronously collected in Dalian(the northern city)and Xiamen(the southern city) in spring and autumn of 2004.The mass concentrations,twenty-three elements and nine soluble ions were assessed.The results show that in Dalian,the mass concentrations of Mg,Al,Ca,Mn and Fe in spring were 4.0-10.1,2.6-8.0,4.1-12,1.2-3.6 and 2.9-7.9 times higher,respectively,than those in Xiamen.The dust storm influence is more obvious in Dalian in spring.However,in Xiamen,heavy metals accounted for 13.9%-17.9%of TSP,while heavy metals contributed to 5.5%-9.3%of TSP in Dalian.These concentrations suggest that heavy metal pollution in Xiamen was more serious.In addition,the concentrations of Na^+,Cl^-,Ca^(2+) and Mg^(2+) were higher in Dalian due to the influence of marine aerosol,construction activities and soil dust.The NO^(3-)/SO_4^(2-) ratios in Dalian(0.25-0.49) were lower than those in Xiamen(0.51-0.62),indicating that the contributions of vehicle emission to particles in Xiamen were higher.Coefficient of divergence values was higher than 0.40,implying that the inorganic chemical composition profiles for the particles of Dalian and Xiamen were quite different from each other. | Yiding Ma Zongshuang Wang Yufei Tan Shu Xu Shaofei Kong Gang Wu Xuefang Wu Hong Li | 2017 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2017,29,5: | 2 |

| 13 | Therapeutic efficacy of traditional Chinese exercises and massage treatment on lumbar instability:a randomized controlled trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To determine the effect of traditional Chinese exercises combined with traditional Chinese massage on lumbar instability.METHODS:Seventy patients with lumbar instability were randomly divided into experimental group and control group.The experimental group was treated with traditional Chinese exercises combined with traditional Chinese massage,while the control group was only treated with traditional Chinese exercises.The Japanese Orthopaedic Association(JOA)scores,Oswestry Disability Index(ODI)and dynamic imaging indexes were used to assess treatment outcomes.RESULTS:After 8 weeks of treatment,the JOA scores of both groups were significantly higher than those before treatment(P<0.05),while ODI was significantly lower(P<0.05).In addition,compared with the control group,the JOA score of the experimental group was significantly increased(P<0.05),and the ODI was significantly decreased(P<0.05).Besides,the dynamic imaging indexes of patients with lumbar instability significantly changed after treatment.The lumbar vertebral laxity was significantly decreased(P<0.05)than those before treatment.CONCLUSION:The traditional Chinese exercises and massage may improve the symptoms of lumbar instability,and traditional Chinese exercises combined with massage treatment may be better than exercises alone. | Chen Wenjin Wang Jianwei Zhou Zhiyi Ren Yide Hua Zhen Yan Zheng Zhang Yafeng | 2020 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2020,40,6: | 2 |

| 15 | Influence of Surface Nanocrystallization on Ti Ion Implantation of Pure Iron显示文摘In order to increase the depth or concentration of Ti ion implantation of pure iron, the surface mechanical attrition treatment(SMAT), which can fabricate a nanometer-grained surface layer without porosity and contamination in a pure iron plate, was used before ion implantation. Ti ion was implanted into the SMA treated sample and coarse-grained counterpart by using a metal vapor vacuum arc source implanter. The changing of depth and concentration of Ti was studied in a function of implantation time.By optical microscopy, transmission electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction, the grain size of the nano structured surface was studied. Micro-hardness, friction and wear behavior of nano surface layers were studied. By energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and Auger electron spectroscopy, the chemical composition and concentration of Ti ion in the surface implantation layer were studied. Experimental results showed that the concentration of Ti increased dramatically compared with untreated coarsegrained samples, which is attributed to the existence of higher density of defects(supersaturated vacancies, dislocations, non-equilibrium grain boundaries etc.) and compression stress field in the SMA treated nanocrystallined surface layer. The interaction between the defects and the implanted solute atoms leads to the increment of solid solubility. But the implantation depth showed inconspicuous change.
