| 4 | The dehydration dynamics of a model cell membrane induced by cholesterol analogue 6-ketocholestanol investigated using sum frequency generation vibrational spectroscopy显示文摘Dehydration of a surface is the first step for the interaction between biomolecules and the surface. In this study, we systematically investigated the influence of cholesterol analog 6-ketocholestanol(6-KC) on the dehydration of model cell membrane, using sum frequency generation vibrational spectroscopy. In pure DI water environment, two separate dehydration dynamic components were observed in neutrally charged and isotopically labeled 1,2-dimyristoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine(DMPC) and positively charged 1,2-dimyristoyl-sn-glycero-3-ethylphosphocholine(chloride salt)(DMEPC) bilayer: a large-amplitude fast component and a small-amplitude slow component, which originated from the water molecules with a weak and a strong water-membrane bound strengths, respectively. Dehydration of a negatively charged mixed DMPC/DMPG bilayer lead to the membrane-bound water being reorganized to ordered structures quickly. | 11 | N-acyl homoserine lactonase attenuates the virulence of Salmonella typhimurium and its induction of intestinal damages in broilers显示文摘This study aimed to investigate the potential mitigating effects of N-acyl homoserine lactonase(AHLase)on the virulence of Salmonella typhimurium and its induction of intestinal damages in broilers.In vitro study was firstly conducted to examine if AHLase treatment could attenuate the virulence of S.typhimurium.Then,an in vivo experiment was performed by allocating 240 broiler chicks at 1 d old into 3 groups(8 replicates per group):negative control(NC),positive control(PC),and PC supplemented with 10,000 U/kg AHLase.All chicks except those in NC were orally challenged by S.typhimurium from 8to 10 d of age.Parameters were measured on d 11 and 21.The results showed that treatment with 1 U/mL AHLase suppressed the biofilm-forming ability(including biofilm biomass,extracellular DNA secretion and biofilm formation-related gene expression),together with swarming motility and adhesive capacity of S.typhimurium.Supplemental 10,000 U/kg AHLase counteracted S.typhimurium-induced impairments(P<0.05)in broiler growth performance(including final body weight,average daily gain and average daily feed intake)during either 1-11 d or 12-21 d,and increases(P<0.05)in the indexes of liver,spleen and bursa of Fabricius on d 11,together with reductions(P<0.05)in ileal villus height and its ratio to crypt depth on both d 11 and 21.AHLase addition also normalized the increased(P<0.05)m RNA expression of ileal occludin on both d 11 and 21 in S.typhimurium-challenged broilers.However,neither S.typhimurium challenge nor AHLase addition altered(P>0.05)serum diamine oxidase activity of broilers.Noticeably,S.typhimurium challenge caused little change in the mRNA expression of ileal inflammatory cytokines except for an increase(P<0.05)in interleukin-8 expression on d 11,whereas AHLase addition normalized(P<0.05)this change.In conclusion,AHLase treatment could attenuate the virulence and pathogenicity of S.typhimurium,thus contributing to alleviate S.typhimurium-induced growth retardation and intestinal damages in broilers. | Weiwei Wang Yiliang Chen Hui Ye Zemin Dong Changming Zhang Dingyuan Feng Qingyun Cao Shujie Liang Jianjun Zuo | 2023 | Animal Nutrition2023，，3： | 0 |

| 13 | Efficient flexible perovskite solar cells and modules using a stable SnO_(2)-nanocrystal isopropanol dispersion显示文摘The outstanding advantages of lightweight and flexibility enable flexible perovskite solar cells(PSCs)to have great application potential in mobile energy devices.Due to the low cost,low-temperature processibility,and high electron mobility,SnO_(2) nanocrystals have been widely employed as the electron transport layer in flexible PSCs.To prepare high-quality SnO_(2) layers,a monodispersed nanocrystal solution is normally used.However,the SnO_(2) nanocrystals can easily aggregate,especially after long periods of storage.Herein,we develop a green and cost-effective strategy for the synthesis of high-quality SnO_(2) nanocrystals at low temperatures by introducing small molecules of glycerol,obtaining a stable and well-dispersed SnO_(2)-nanocrystal isopropanol dispersion successfully.Due to the enhanced dispersity and super wettability of this alcohol-based SnO_(2)-nanocrystal solution,large-area smooth and dense SnO_(2) films are easily deposited on the plastic conductive substrate.Furthermore,this contributes to effective charge transfer and suppressed non-radiative recombination at the interface between the SnO_(2) and perovskite layers.As a result,a greatly enhanced power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 21.8%from 19.2%is achieved for small-area flexible PSCs.A large-area 5 cm×5 cm flexible perovskite solar mini-module with a champion PCE of 16.5%and good stability is also demonstrated via this glycerol-modified SnO_(2)-nanocrystal isopropanol dispersion approach. | Zhiwei Su Jing Li Ruixuan Jiang Shujie Zhang Chengkai Jin Feng Ye Bingcan Ke Mengjun Zhou Jinhui Tong Hyesung Park Fuzhi Huang Yi-Bing Cheng Tongle Bu | 2024 | Nano Research2024，17，4： | 0 |
