1Can China's Diplomatic Partnership Strategy Benefit Outward Foreign Direct Investment?显示文摘In the context of global integration, whether a diplomatic partnership strategy can promote outward foreign direct investment (OFDI) and how it works are very important issues for China.Based on a dataset featuring China's partnerships collected from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website,we establish an empirical framework to assess the role of China's diplomatic strategy in its OFDI arising from partnerships since 1993. The results show that the establishment or upgrade of partnerships has had a positive effect on Chinese firms' decisions on OFDI for at least the short term, especially for firms with higher demand for policy guarantees from the government, such as noncentral firms and non-Beijing firms. The results also show that the increase in OFDI is concentrated in host countries with higher political risks, such as developing countries, neighboring countries, and Belt and Road countries,which is consistent with China's diplomatic focus.Our research proves that China's diplomatic strategy can assist firms to invest abroad.Churen Sun Yaying Liu 2019China & World Economy2019,27,5:8
2Dynamic changes in soil chemical properties and microbial community structure in response to different nitrogen fertilizers in an acidified celery soil显示文摘To determine the effects of different kinds of nitrogen fertilizer,especially high-efficiency slowrelease fertilizers,on soil pH,nitrogen(N)and microbial community structures in an acidic celery soil,four treatments(CK,no N fertilizer;NR,urea;PE,calcium cyanamide fertilizer;and SK,controlled-release N fertilizer)were applied,and soil pH,total soil N,inorganic N,and soil microbial biomass C were analyzed.Phospholipid fatty acids(PLFAs)were extracted and detected using the MIDI Sherlock microbial identification system.The PE treatment significantly improved soil pH,from 4.80 to>6.00,during the whole growth period of the celery,and resulted in the highest celery yield among the four treatments.After 14 d application of calcium cyanamide,the soil nitrate content significantly decreased,but the ammonium content significantly increased.The PE treatment also significantly increased soil microbial biomass C during the whole celery growth period.Canonical variate analysis of the PLFA data indicated that the soil microbial community structure in the CK treatment was significantly different from those in the N applied treatments after 49 d fertilization.However,there was a significant difference(P<0.05)in soil microbial community structure between the PE treatment and the other three treatments at the end of the experiment.Calcium cyanamide is a good choice for farmers to use on acidic celery land because it supplies sufficient N,and increases soil pH,microbial biomass and the yield of celery.Yuping Wu Jiangxing Wu Yongjun Ma Ying Lian Hui Sun Danchao Xie Yaying Li Philip C.Brookes Huaiying Yao 2019Soil Ecology Letters2019,1,3:7

4Mantle Source Components and Magmatic Evolution for the Comei Large Igneous Province:Evidence from the Early Cretaceous Niangzhong Mafic Magmatism in Tethyan Himalaya显示文摘The Niangzhong diabase dikes,dated at 138.1±0.4 Ma,are located within the outcrop area of the Comei large igneous province(LIP).These diabase samples can be divided into two groups:samples in Group 1 show varying MgO(1.50 wt.%-10.25 wt.%)and TiO_(2)(0.85 wt.%-4.63 wt.%)contents,and enriched initial isotope compositions(^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr(t)=0.7056-0.7112,ε_(Nd)(t)=-0.3-+3.8),with OIB-like REEs and trace elements patterns,resulting from low degree melting of garnet-bearing lherzolite mantle sources;in contrast,samples in Group 2 show limited MgO(4.14 wt.%-7.75 wt.%)and TiO_(2)(0.98 wt.%-1.69 wt.%)contents,and depleted initial isotope compositions(^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr(t)=0.7075-0.7112,ε_(Nd)(t)=+5.5-+6.2),with N-MORB-like REEs and trace elements patterns,resulting from relatively high degree melting of spinel-bearing lherzolite mantle source.Combined with the published representative data about Comei LIP,we summarize that the source components for Comei LIP products include OIB end-member,enriched OIB end-member,and N-MORB end-member,respectively.Melts modeling suggests that magmas in the Comei LIP evolve in a relatively high oxygen fugacity condition,which influenced their fractionation sequences and led to systematic changes of TiO_(2)contents,Ti/Y and Ti/Ti*ratios.From the spatial and temporal distribution of above three end-member samples,deep process of Kerguelen plume during the Comei LIP formation can be interpreted as the interaction among the Kerguelen plume,the overlying lithospheric mantle,and the upwelling asthenosphere.The magmatism of Comei LIP began at~140 Ma and then lasted and peaked at~132 Ma with the progressively lithospheric thinning of eastern Gondwana upon the impact of Kerguelen plume.Yaying Wang Lingsen Zeng Kejun Hou Li'e Gao Qian Wang Linghao Zhao Jiahao Gao Guangxu Li 2022Journal of Earth Science2022,33,1:3

6Physico-Chemical Properties and Enzyme Activities of the Arable Soils in Lhasa,Tibet,China显示文摘An understanding of the physical,chemical,and biological properties of a soil provides a basis for soil use and management.This paper reports the major physico-chemical properties and enzyme activities of the soils of Lhasa's main arable lands and the factors that influence these soil properties.Composite and core samples were taken from the three main arable soil types(alluvial soil,subalpine arable steppe soil,and subalpine arable meadow soil) and were analysed using standard methods.The bulk density and the ventilation porosity ratio of the soils were close to the recommended values for arable lands,and the dominant soil texture was sandy.The soil moisture release rates were arable steppe soil > alluvial soil > arable meadow soil.Soil organic matter content,Cation-Exchange Capacity(CEC),total and available nitrogen content,and catalase activity of the arable meadow soil were higher than those of the alluvial and the arable steppe soils,while soil pH in the arable meadow was lower.Most of the measured properties did not show a significant variance among these three soils.However,the measured indices(apart from the total potassium) indicate that there are notable differences among the three types of soil.The results implied that the utilisation patterns of the arable soil or human activities,such as tillage practices and fertiliser applications,have a substantialeffect on the soil properties in this region.Our results suggest that the cultivation practices in the region have apparently positive impact on the soil organic matter,nutrient contents and bulk density probably due to the sound fertiliser management such as the applications of farmyard manure and chemical fertilisers.However,intense cultivation practices lowered the activity of most soil enzymes.The results demonstrate that the choice of soil management strategy had a significant impact on the soil physicochemical and biological properties in the region studied.WEI Yai ZHOU Zhonghao LIU Gangcai 2012Journal of Mountain Science2012,9,4:2
7Variations in the biomass of Eucalyptus plantations at a regional scale in Southern China显示文摘We quantified deviations in regional forest biomass from simple extrapolation of plot data by the biomass expansion factor method(BEF) versus estimates obtained from a local biomass model,based on large-scale empirical field inventory sampling data.The sources and relative contributions of deviations between the two models were analyzed by the boosted regression trees method.Relative to the local model,BEF overestimated accumulative biomass by 22.12%.The predominant sources of the total deviation (70.94%) were stand-structure variables.Stand age and diameter at breast height are the major factors.Compared with biotic variables,abiotic variables had a smaller overall contribution (29.06%),with elevation and soil depth being the most important among the examined abiotic factors.Large deviations in regional forest biomass and carbon stock estimates are likely to be obtained with BEF relative to estimates based on local data.To minimize deviations,stand age and elevation should be included in regional forest-biomass estimation.Quanyi Qiu Guoliang Yun Shudi Zuo Jing Yan Lizhong Hua Yin Ren Jianfeng Tang Yaying Li Qi Chen 2018Journal of Forestry Research2018,29,5:2

Tongue diagnosis as one of the most characteristic of Chinese medicine diagnosis has been from the previous subjective observation, relying on the experience to judge the era into the new era of tongue diagnosis objectifi cation, quantifi cation, and the introduction of computer digital image processing technology to more Accurate diagnosis. This article will mainly introduce the current in the Chinese and Western medicine on all aspects of the tongue diagnosis of the objective, micro, quantitative progress, the characteristics of tongue images and a variety of processing techniques, including tongue image automatic segmentation, and tongue fat and thin The Relationship and Modernization of Organ Pathology in Viscera. At the same time, a tongue-sized measurement method is introduced. Two-dimensional ultrasound imaging is used as a means of inspection to establish a set of ultrasonic tongue-sized measurement methods. 9Development of the Driving Simulation System MOVIC-T4 and Its Validation Using Field Driving Data显示文摘Underground urban expressways are a possibility for solving many existing transportation-related problems, such as traffic congestion in high density areas and the division of neighborhoods due to elevated roadways. However, they may also pose high risks regarding traffic safety. Therefore, it is important for a pre-analysis of traffic safety to be made. This paper describes recent efforts to develop a driving simulation system, MOVIC-T4, for traffic safety analysis of underground urban expressways. In order to develop a small portable simulator, a small-sized motion-base with two-degrees-of-freedom is used to duplicate accel-eration cueing together with a head-mounted-display (HMD) for the visual system. An overview of this sys-tem is given and the reliability of driving data obtained from the experiments using MOVIC-T4 is discussed through a validation study using field driving data. 14Shadow–highlight feature matching automatic small crater recognition using high-resolution digital orthophoto map from Chang’E Missions显示文摘This paper introduces a new method of small lunar craters’ automatic identification, using digital orthophoto map(DOM) data. The core of the approach is the fact that the lunar exploration DOM data reveal contrasting highlight and shadow characteristics of small craters under sunlight irradiation. This research effort combines image processing and mathematical modeling. Overall it proposes a new planetary data processing approach, to segment and extract the highlight and shadow regions of small craters,using the image gray frequency(IGF) statistical method.IGF can also be applied to identify the coupling relationships between small craters’ shape and their relative features. This paper presents the highlight and shadow pair matching(HSPM) model which manages to perform highprecision automatic recognition of small lunar craters.Testing was performed using the DOM data of Chang’E-2(CE-2). The results have shown that the proposed method has a high level of successful detection rate. The proposed methodology that uses DOM data can complement the drawbacks of the digital elevation model(DEM) that has a relatively high false detection rate. A hybrid fusion model(FUM) that combines both DOM and DEM data, was carried out to simultaneously identify small, medium, and large-sized craters. 17QNE1 is a key flowering regulator determining the length of the vegetative period in soybean cultivars显示文摘The soybean E1 gene is a major regulator that plays an important role in flowering time and maturity.However,it remains unclear how cultivars carrying the dominant E1 allele adapt to the higher latitudinal areas of northern China.We mapped the novel quantitative trait locus QNE1(QTL near E1) for flowering time to the region proximal to E1 on chromosome 6 in two mapping populations.Positional cloning revealed Glyma.06G204300,encoding a TCP-type transcription factor,as a strong candidate gene for QNE1.Association analysis further confirmed that functional single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs) at nucleotides 686 and 1,063 in the coding region of Glyma.06G204300 were significantly associated with flowering time.The protein encoded by the candidate gene is localized primarily to the nucleus.Furthermore,soybean and Brassica napus plants overexpressing Glyma.06G204300 exhibited early flowering.We conclude that despite their similar effects on flowering time,QNE1 and E4 may control flowering time through different regulatory mechanisms,based on expression studies and weighted gene co-expression network analysis of flowering time-related genes.Deciphering the molecular basis of QNE1 control of flowering time enriches our knowledge of flowering gene networks in soybean and will facilitate breeding soybean cultivars with broader latitudinal adaptation.Zhengjun Xia Hong Zhai Yanfeng Zhang Yaying Wang Lu Wang Kun Xu Hongyan Wu Jinglong Zhu Shuang Jiao Zhao Wan Xiaobin Zhu Yi Gao Yingxiang Liu Rong Fan Shihao Wu Xin Chen Jinyu Liu Jiayin Yang Qijian Song Zhixi Tian 2022Science China(Life Sciences)2022,65,12:1
