2A fundamental theorem for eco-environmental surface modelling and its applications显示文摘We propose a fundamental theorem for eco-environmental surface modelling(FTEEM) in order to apply it into the fields of ecology and environmental science more easily after the fundamental theorem for Earth’s surface system modeling(FTESM). The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei(BTH) region is taken as a case area to conduct empirical studies of algorithms for spatial upscaling, spatial downscaling, spatial interpolation, data fusion and model-data assimilation, which are based on high accuracy surface modelling(HASM), corresponding with corollaries of FTEEM. The case studies demonstrate how eco-environmental surface modelling is substantially improved when both extrinsic and intrinsic information are used along with an appropriate method of HASM. Compared with classic algorithms, the HASM-based algorithm for spatial upscaling reduced the root-meansquare error of the BTH elevation surface by 9 m. The HASM-based algorithm for spatial downscaling reduced the relative error of future scenarios of annual mean temperature by 16%. The HASM-based algorithm for spatial interpolation reduced the relative error of change trend of annual mean precipitation by 0.2%. The HASM-based algorithm for data fusion reduced the relative error of change trend of annual mean temperature by 70%. The HASM-based algorithm for model-data assimilation reduced the relative error of carbon stocks by 40%. 3Modulation of evening complex activity enables north-to-south adaptation of soybean显示文摘Soybean,a typical short-day crop,is sensitive to photoperiod,which is a major limiting factor defining its north-to-south cultivation range.The long-juvenile(LJ)trait is controlled primarily by the J locus which has been used for decades by soybean breeders to delay flowering and improve grain yield in tropical regions.The J gene encodes an ortholog of the Arabidopsis Evening Complex(EC)component EARLY FLOWERING 3(ELF3).To identify modifiers of J,we conducted a forward genetic screen and isolated a mutant(eoj57)that in combination with j has longer flowering delay compared with j single mutant plants.Map-based cloning and genome re-sequencing identified eoj57(designated as GmLUX2)as an ortholog of the Arabidopsis EC component LUX ARRHYTHMO(LUX).To validate that GmLUX2 is a modifier of J,we used trans-complementation and identified a natural variant allele with a similar phenotype.We also show that GmLUX2 physically interacts with GmELF3a/b and binds DNA,whereas the mutant and natural variant are attenuated in both activities.Transcriptome analysis shows that the GmLUX2-GmELF3a complex co-regulates the expression of several circadian clock-associated genes and directly represses E1 expression.These results provide mechanistic insight into how GmLUX2-GmELF3 controls flowering time via synergistic regulation of gene expression.These novel insights expand our understanding of the regulation of the EC complex,and facilitate the development of soybean varieties adapted for growth at lower latitudes.Xiaolong Fang Yapeng Han Mengshi Liu Jiacan Jiang Xiang Li Qichao Lian Xianrong Xie Yian Huang Qibin Ma Hai Nian Ji Qi Cunyi Yang Yingxiang Wang 2021Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,2:3

7Assessment of the electrical penetration of cell membranes using four-frequency impedance cytometry显示文摘The electrical penetration of the cell membrane is vital for determining the cell interior via impedance cytometry.Herein,we propose a method for determining the conductivity of the cell membrane through the tilting levels of impedance puises.When electrical penetration occurs,a high-frequency current freely passes through the cell membrane;thus,the intracellular distribution can directly act on the high-frequency impedance pulses.Numerical simulation shows that an uneven intracellular component distribution can affect the tilting levels of impedance pulses,and the tilting levels start increasing when the cell membrane is electrically penetrated.Experimental evidence shows that higher detection frequencies(>7 MHz)lead to a wider distribution of the tilting levels of impedance pulses when measuring cell populations with four-frequency impedance cytometry.This finding allows us to determine that a detection frequency of 7 MHz is able to pass through the membrane of Euglena gracilis(E.gracilis)cells.Additionally,we provide a possible application of four-frequency impedance cytometry in the biomass monitoring of single E.grailis cells.High-frequency impedance(≥7 MHz)can be applied to monitor these biomass changes,and low-frequency impedance(<7 MHz)can be applied to track the corresponding biovolume changes.Overall,this work demonstrates an easy determination method for the electrical penetration of the cell membrane,and the proposed platform is applicable for the multiparameter assessment of the cell state during cultivation.Tao Tang Xun Liu Yapeng Yuan Tianlong Zhang Ryota Krya Yang Yang Kengo Suzuki Yo Tanaka Ming Li Yoichiroh Hosokawa Yaxiaer Yalikun 2022Microsystems & Nanoengineering2022,8,3:0
8Oxidative exfoliation of spent cathode carbon:A two-in-one strategy for its decontamination and high-valued application显示文摘Spent cathode carbon(SCC)from aluminum electrolysis is a potential graphite resource.However,full use of the SCC remains a challenge,since it contains many hazardous substances(e.g.,fluoride salts,cyanides),encapsulated within the thick carbon layers and thus posing serious environmental concerns.This work presents a chemical oxidative exfoliation route to achieve the recycling of SCC and the decontaminated SCC with high-valued graphene oxide(GO)-like carbon structures(SCC-GO)is applied as an excellent adsorbent for organic pollutants.Specifically,after the oxidative exfoliation,the embedded hazardous constituents are fully exposed,facilitating their subsequent removal by aqueous leaching.Moreover,benefiting from the enhanced specific surface areas along with abundant O-containing functional groups,the as-produced SCC-GO,shows an adsorption capacity as high as 347 mg·g^(-1)when considering methylene blue as a pollutant model,which exceeds most of the recently reported carbon-based adsorbents.Our study provides a feasible solution for the efficient recycling of hazardous carbonaceous wastes.Runze Chen Yuran Chen Xuemin Liang Yapeng Kong Yangyang Fan Quan Liu Zhenyu Yang Feiying Tang Johnny Muya Chabu Maru Dessie Walle Liqiang Wang 2023Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2023,59,7:0

11Crustal deformation and tectonic levels of Nujiang Gorge since the Miocene显示文摘Crustal deformation shows different patterns at different depths due to changes in the physical properties of rock.Tectonic levels can be defined based on the geometry and deformation mechanisms of crustal deformation patterns. Nujiang Gorge, with a high riverbed drop, great erosion depth, and strong deformation, has rock exposures at different tectonic levels and thus provides an ideal lab for deformation study. This paper takes the Nujiang Gorge from Chawalong to Fugong as the object to identify structural deformation patterns at different depths through field study and deformation analysis. At depth, the primary form of deformation is flow deformation, as shown on the outcrops at Maji. Ductile shear deformation can be found in many outcrops within the study region, e.g., the Gaoligong dextral shear zone and Puladi-Songta sinistral shear zone that lie to the south and north of Maji, respectively. Further to the north of Puladi, the dominated deformation pattern is similar fold and dense sub-vertical foliation. In addition, brittle faults, as evidence of shallow deformation, can be seen overprinting on the deeper deformation features all over the region. Based on those observations, this paper identifies four tectonic levels from depth to the surface: flow deformation, ductile shear deformation, similar fold, and brittle fault deformation, all of which result from the NEE-SWW compressive stress field. 12Highly Dispersive Co@N-C Catalyst as Freestanding Bifunctional Cathode for Flexible and Rechargeable Zinc–air Batteries显示文摘The design of efficient cathode with great cycle performance,high flexibility,and low cost is essential for the commercialization of zinc–air battery(ZAB).Herein,we report the exploration of freestanding bifunctional cathode with rationally designed structures,namely,tiny Co nanoparticles embedded in Ndoped carbon nanofiber aerogels,which have desired features including uniform Co dispersity,balanced distribution of N-C species,hierarchically porous structure with increased fraction of meso-to micropores,and moderate amounts of defects.Accordingly,the as-fabricated cathodes exhibit positive half-wave potential of 0.82 V for oxygen reduction and small overpotential of 350 mV at 10 mA cm^(−2) for oxygen evolution,respectively,which deliver smaller reversible oxygen electrode index(0.76 V)than the commercial Pt/C+RuO_(2)(0.80 V)and most Co-based electrocatalysts ever reported.Impressively,the as-constructed liquid rechargeable ZAB behaves high peak power density(160 mW cm^(−2)),large specific capacity(759.7 mAh g^(−1) at 10 mA cm^(−2),tested after 120 h of OCV tests),and robust stability over 277 h.Moreover,the as-assembled quasi-solid-state ZAB using such freestanding cathode represents excellent mechanical flexibility and outstanding cycle performance,regardless of being serviced under extremely bending conditions from 0°to 180°,underscoring their promising applications as durable bifunctional cathode for portable metalair batteries.Yu Ma Ding Chen Weijun Li Yapeng Zheng Lin Wang Gang Shao Qiao Liu Weiyou Yang 2022Energy & Environmental Materials2022,5,2:0
13Effects of the vegetative propagation method on juvenility in Robinia pseudoacacia L.显示文摘Vegetative propagation is an important method of reproduction and rejuvenation in forestry.The growth and development of asexually propagated trees are influenced by the age and position of the propagule on the plant,effects referred to as cyclophysis and topophysis,respectively.Due to the long lifespans and large body sizes of woody trees,the selection of propagules is critically important.Here,we used three vegetative propagation methods(shoot cutting,root sprouting,and root cutting)to study the effect of different regeneration methods on juvenility of the resulting black locust plants,with seed-derived seedlings used as a control.Most characteristics of plantlets generated by rootsprouting were similar to those of seed-derived seedlings,including leaf traits and leaf anatomical structure.However,there were significant differences between the plantlets derived from shoot-cuttings and seedlings from seeds.Furthermore,the data showed that some of these agerelated small RNAs and genes differed in expression among propagation methods and between plantlets/seedlings and mature trees.These agerelated small RNAs,genes,and transcription factors may be used as molecular markers of juvenility and phase transitions in black locust.Our results provide useful information for the optimal propagation of woody trees and for further research into the mechanisms of root regeneration.Jie Liu Zijie Zhang Yapeng Li Juan Han Huayu Si Yueqi Mi Shaoming Wang Xiaoning Wei Hao Yang Yuhan Sun Yun Li 2022Forestry Research2022,2,1:0
14Effect of Sn doping concentration on the oxidation of Al-containing MAX phase(Ti_(3)AlC_(2))combining simulation with experiment显示文摘Sn doping is usually adopted to prepare Ti_(3)AlC_(2)in mass production because it can reduce the synthesis temperature while increasing the phase purity.However,excessive Sn doping usually deteriorates the oxidation resistance of Ti_(3)AlC_(2).Therefore,an appropriate Sn doping concentration is a vital issue.In this work,the effect of Sn doping concentration on the oxidation behavior of Ti_(3)AlC_(2)was systematically investigated by combining theoretical calculations and experimental methods.Density function theory calculations suggest that the oxygen adsorption mechanisms for the(001)surface of Ti_(3)AlC_(2)with and without Sn doping are similar,and Ti-O bonds are always preferentially formed.The molecular dynamics simulation further indicates that Al atoms have a faster diffusion rate during the oxidation process.Therefore,a continuous Al_(2)O_(3)layer can form rapidly at high temperature.Nevertheless,when the Sn doping concentration exceeds 10 mol%,the continuity of the Al_(2)O_(3)layer is destroyed,thereby impairing the oxidation resistance of Ti_(3)AlC_(2).Furthermore,oxidation experiments verify the above results.The oxidation mechanisms of Ti3AlC2 with different Sn doping concentrations are also proposed.Chunyu Guo Enhui Wang Yunsong Liu Yapeng Zheng Tao Yang Xinmei Hou 2022Fundamental Research2022,2,1:0
15Flame Burn Injury in Yichang of China:the Trends,Complications,and Risk Factor Analysis显示文摘Background A flame burn is an injury of body tissues,including respiratory tract damage,due to exposure to a flame or its dense smoke.Flame burns cause some of the most physically and psychologically devastating forms of trauma.Compared to scald burns,flame burn patients have a higher mortality rate and a higher frequency of multiorgan failure.The purpose of this research was to investigate the trends,complications,and mortality risk factors of flame burns at the Department of Plastic and Burn Surgery(DPBS)of the People’s Hospital of China Three Gorges University(PHCTGU).Methods A retrospective analysis of 48 flame burn patients—accounting for 8.3%of the 576 burn victims admitted for burns at the PHCTGU from February 1,2010,to September 30,2019—was performed after collecting information from the Burns Registry of the said hospital.Results The proportion of patients with flame burns was 8.3%(n=48).The mean total body surface area(TBSA)affected was 27.6%.The mean duration of hospitalization was 32.5 days.The etiologies of the flame burns were as follows:gas explosions(21,43.8%),ethanol(8,16.7%),charcoal fire(7,14.6%),petrol explosions(4,8.3%),wooden houses(4,8.3%),and others,including dust,cigarette lighter,and burning incense,accounting for 8.3%of cases(4).Finally,42(87.5%)patients were treated and discharged,and 6(12.5%)patients died.Complications included scarring in 38(90.5%)patients,severe scar contractures on different parts of the body in 25(60.0%)patients,scar ulcer in 6(14.3%)patients,keloids in 3(7.1%)patients,and scar cancer in 1(2.4%)patient.Multiple complications occurred in the same patient.The only risk factor for mortality that was identified was TBSA(P=0.043).Conclusions Our study revealed that a small population(8.3%)was injured by flame burns,but 6 deaths were recorded.Society must continually enhance safeguard procedures to flames and strengthen education to protect life and avoid severe complications.Lixia WEN Weimin WU Yunbo JIN Bo ZHOU Lei WU Yapeng LIU Ying HU 2021Chinese Journal Of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery2021,3,1:0
16Effect of the post-annealing temperature on the thermal-decomposed NiO_(x) hole contact layer for perovskite solar cells显示文摘A hysteresis-less inverted perovskite solar cell(PSC)with power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 13.57%was successfully achieved based on the thermal-decomposed NiO_(x) hole contact layer,possessing better electron blocking and hole extraction properties for its suitable work function and high-conduction band edge position.Herein,the transparent and high-crystalline NiO_(x) film is prepared by thermal-decomposing of the solution-derived Ni(OH)_(2) film in our study,which is then employed as hole transport layer(HTL)of the organic–inorganic hybrid PSCs.Reasonably,the post-annealing treatment,especially for the annealing temperature,could greatly affect the Ni(OH)_(2) decomposition process and the quality of decomposed NiO_(x) nanoparticles.The vital NiO_(x) HTLs with discrepant morphology,crystallinity and transmission certainly lead to a wide range of device performance.As a result,an annealing process of 400℃/2 h significantly promotes the photovoltaic properties of the NiO_(x) layer and the further device performance.Yuxiao Guo Xingtian Yin Jie Liu Wei Chen Sen Wen Meidan Que Yapeng Tian Yawei Yang Wenxiu Que 2018Journal of Advanced Dielectrics2018,8,1:0
17Deep Reinforcement Learning-Based Resource Allocation for UAV-Enabled Federated Edge Learning显示文摘The resource allocation of the federated learning(FL)for unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)swarm systems are investigated.The UAV swarms based on FL realize the artificial intelligence(AI)applications by means of distributed training on the basis of ensuring the security of private data.However,the direct application of the FL in UAV swarms will incur high overhead.Therefore,in this article,we consider the resource allocation problem in FL for UAV swarms.To avoid the high communication overhead between UAVs and the central server,we proposed an FL framework for UAV swarms based on mobile edge computing(MEC)in which model aggregation is migrated to edge servers.In the proposed framework,the total cost of the FL is defined as the weighted sum of the total delay of UAV swarms to complete the FL and system energy consumption.In order to minimize the total cost of FL,we propose a resource allocation algorithm for joint optimization of computing resources and multi-UAV association based on deep reinforcement learning(DRL).The simulation result shows that:(1)compared with the benchmark algorithm,the proposed algorithm can effectively reduce the total cost of FL;(2)the proposed algorithm can realize the trade-off between task completion delay and system energy consumption through weight changes.Tianze Liu Tiankui Zhang Jonathan Loo Yapeng Wang 2023Journal of Communications and Information Networks2023,8,1:0

19Effects of spray adjuvants and operation modes on droplet deposition and elm aphid control using an unmanned aerial vehicle显示文摘A conventional spraying mode and a fully autonomous fruit tree operation mode using a model DJ T30 unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)were used to control aphids control on elm trees and to clarify the distribution of droplets in elm trees sprayed by a UAV.The effects of six aviation spray adjuvants on elm canopy droplet deposition and aphid control were evaluated.ImageJ software was used to analyze and measure the droplet density and deposition of water sensitive paper in two modes;this was done to calculate the droplet uniformity,depositional penetration,and droplet penetration,and to verify the aphid control effect.The results showed that the droplet density increased by 79.7%-100.7% in the upper canopy and 0-394.1%in the lower canopy without adjuvants in the fully autonomous fruit tree operation mode.The upper canopy deposits increased by 65.7%-179.3%,and the lower canopy increased by 0-152.8%.When adjuvants were added,the droplet density in the upper canopy increased by 49.7-56.1%using Jiexiaofeng(JXF),and the lower canopy increased by 138.2%-177.8% using JXF,45.8%-141.3%using Beidatong(BDT),45.5%-92.9% using Gongbei(GB),0-93.5% using Maisi(MS),and 0-95.2%using Manniu(MN).The deposits of the upper canopy increased by 888.1-1154.2% using JXF,0-1298.3% using MN,0-343.9%using BDT,0-422.5% using GB,0-580.3% using MS.The lower canopy increased by 746.4%-1426.0%using JXF,226.2%-231.0% using BDT,435.8%-644.0% using GB,255.0%-322.4%using MS,and 249.3%-360.0%using MN.When JXF was added,the droplet uniformity,droplet penetration and depositional penetration were better than when using other adjuvants.The effects of JXF,BDT and GB in controlling aphids was significantly better than other adjuvants(p<0.05).The following control effects were observed;94.1% with JXF,93.1% with BDT,and 93.3% with GB after 3 d of application,and 97.9% with JXF,95.6% with BDT,and 97.1% with GB after 7 d of application.At the same time,the application of the fully autonomous fruit tree operation mode and JXF can effectively improve the density and deposits,which will produce a superposition optimization effect.Our study focuses on the prevention and control of elm aphid infestations based on the operation mode of a UAV and aviation spray adjuvants,which can provide a baseline for the control of diseases and insect pests using UAVs in agriculture and forestry.Zechen Dou Zhihao Fang Xiaoqiang Han Muhammad Zeeshan Yapeng Liu Yubin Lan 2023International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2023,16,2:0
20Dietary supplementation of sodium butyrate enhances lactation performance by promoting nutrient digestion and mammary gland development in dairy cows显示文摘This experiment was to evaluate the influence of sodium butyrate(SB)addition on milk production,ruminal fermentation,nutrient digestion,and the development and metabolism regulation of the mammary gland in dairy cows.Forty Holstein dairy cows averaging 710±18.5 kg body weight,72.8±3.66 d in milk(DIM),and 41.4±1.42 kg/d milk production were divided into four treatments blocked by DIM and milk production.Treatments were control group,low SB,medium SB,and high SB with 0,100,200 and 300 g/d of SB addition per cow,respectively.The study lasted for 105 d.Production of milk,milk protein and lactose quadratically increased(P<0.05),while fat-corrected milk,energycorrected milk and milk fat yields linearly increased(P<0.05)with increasing SB addition.The digestibility of dietary dry matter,organic matter,and crude protein linearly increased(P<0.05),whereas the digestibility of ether extract,neutral detergent fibre,and acid detergent fibre quadratically increased(P<0.05).Ruminal pH quadratically decreased(P=0.04),while total volatile fatty acids(VFA)quadratically increased(P=0.03)with increasing SB addition.The acetic acid to propionic acid ratio increased(P=0.03)linearly due to the unaltered acetic acid molar percentage and a linear decrease in propionic acid molar percentage.Ruminal enzymatic activity of carboxymethyl-cellulase and a-amylase,populations of total bacteria,total anaerobic fungi,total protozoa,Ruminococcus albus,R.flavefaciens,Butyrivibrio fibrisolvens,Fibrobacter succinogenes,and Ruminobacter amylophilus linearly increased(P<0.05).Blood glucose,urea nitrogen,and non-esterified fatty acids linearly decreased(P<0.05),while total protein concentration linearly increased(P=0.04).Moreover,the addition of SB at 200 g/d promoted(P<0.05)mRNA and protein expression of PPARγ,SREBF1,ACACA,FASN,SCD,CCNA2,CCND1,PCNA,Bcl-2,GPR41,and the ratios of p-Akt/Akt and p-mTOR/mTOR,but decreased(P<0.05)mRNA and protein expressions of Bax,caspase-3,and caspase-9.The results suggest that milk production and milk fat synthesis increased with SB addition by stimulating rumen fermentation,nutrient digestion,gene and protein expressions concerned with milk fat synthesis and mammary gland development.Jing Zhang Lijun Bu Yapeng Liu Wenjie Huo Chengqiang Xia Caixia Pei Qiang Liu 2023Animal Nutrition2023,,4:0
