| 1 | Pediatric reference intervals in China(PRINCE):design and rationale for a large,multicenter collaborative cross-sectional study显示文摘There is a lack of accurate pediatric reference intervals(RIs) in China, with most commonly used RIs established without consideration of the effect of age and gender. The Pediatric Reference Intervals in China(PRINCE) project aims to establish and verify pediatric RIs for 31 common laboratory measurands.The project will be a large, multicenter cross-sectional study:14,490 healthy children and adolescents aged up to 19 years will be surveyed by 10 children's hospitals and one pediatric department of a university hospital. To evaluate the feasibility and efficiency of the study methods, 602 children were surveyed in the pilot phase of the PRINCE study in April 2017: it found that some measurands were distinctly age dependent and that there were differences between values for males and females. The results of the pilot study affirmed the necessity of the PRINCE project for Chinese pediatrics. The pilot also indicated potential difficulties in the full survey, e.g., difficulties in recruiting children aged under 3 years and insufficient collection of blood samples from infants. | 4 | Comprehensive optimized GM(1,1) model and application for short term forecasting of Chinese energy consumption and production显示文摘In order to improve prediction accuracy of the grey prediction model and forecast China energy consumption and production in a short term, this paper proposes a novel comprehensively optimized GM(1,1) model, also named COGM(1,1),based on the grey modeling mechanism. First, the relationship of the background value formula and its whitenization equation is analyzed and a new method optimizing background values is proposed to eliminate systemic errors in the modeling process.Second, the solving process of the new model is derived. For parameter estimation, a set of auxiliary parameters are used to change grey equation's form. Then, original parameters are restored by an equations system. After solving the whitenization equation, initial value in time response function is established by least errors criteria. Finally, a numerical case and comparison with other grey prediction models are made to testify the new model's effectiveness, and the computational results show that the COGM(1,1) model has a better property and achieves higher precision. The new model is used to forecast China energy consumption and production, and the ability of energy self-sufficiency is further analyzed. | 11 | Distribution and Transport of Residual Lead and Copper Along Soil Pro?les in a Mining Region of North China显示文摘Residual heavy metals are commonly considered to be immobile in soils,leading to an underestimation of their environmental risk.This study investigated the distribution and transport of residual heavy metals along soil pro?les,using the Xiaoqinling gold mining region in North China as a case study.Soil samples were collected at three depths from three locations near the tailing heap.The speciation of copper(Cu) and lead(Pb)(exchangeable,carbonate-bound,Fe-Mn oxide-bound,organic matter-bound,and residual fractions) was determined using a sequential extraction procedure.The residual fraction's morphology was observed using scanning electron microscopy(SEM).Results showed that metal fraction distributions along the soil pro?les were in?uenced by each fraction's mobility.Residual fraction with high chemical stability can not be transformed from or into other fractions.This led to the conclusion that the high concentration of residual metals in soils mainly resulted from residual fraction transport.The SEM analysis showed that ?ne particles(submicrons) were mainly attached to large particles and were likely released and transported by water?ow.The more sorptive fractions(non-residual fractions) were mainly retained in the top soil,and the more mobile fractions(residual fraction) were mainly leached to the deep soil.Cu and Pb concentrations in the residual fraction decreased slightly and those in the non-residual fractions decreased signi?cantly with soil depth.These suggest a relatively higher residual metal mobility along the soil pro?les.Therefore,residual metals can be transported in soils and their environmental risk can not be ignored in assessing soil contamination. | LU Cong WU Yaoguo HU Sihai ZHANG Xiaoyan FU Yilin | 2016 | Pedosphere2016,26,6: | 2 |
