Modeling on Heat and Mass Transfer in Stored Wheat during Forced Cooling Ventilation显示文摘A mathematical model based on the theory of heat and mass transfer in porous media was developed to simulate the evolution of grain temperature and moisture content in a wheat storage bin during ventilation with cooling air at the constant temperature and humidity.Unlike the previous works on this aspect, the present work was not focused on cooling the stored grain by ventilation with ambient air,but with the refrigerated air.Validation was performed by comparing between predicted and measured grain temperature and grain moisture content for two cases.Predicted data were in reasonable good agreement with measured ones. The model and the parameter values used in the model are applicable for predicting temperature and moisture of stored grains under ventilation conditions.Yuancheng WANG,Haifeng DUAN,Hao ZHANG and Zhaohong FANG College of Thermal Energy Engineering,Shandong Jianzhu University,Jinan 250101,China 2010Journal of Thermal Science2010,19,2:27
An experimental study on stress-strain behavior and constitutive model of hardfill material显示文摘Hardfill is a new type of artificially cemented material for dam construction works, with a wide application prospect. Its mechanical behavior lies between concrete and rockfill materials.A series of large-scale triaxial tests are performed on hardfill specimens at different ages, and the stress-strain behavior of hardfill is further discussed. The strength and stress-strain relationship of hardfill materials show both frictional mechanism and cohesive mechanism. An age-related constitutive model of hardfill is developed, which is a parallel model consisting of two components, rockfill component and cementation component. Moreover,a comparison is made between the simulated and the experimental results, which shows that the parallel model can reflect the mechanical characteristics of both rockfill-like nonlinearity and concrete-like age relativity. In addition,a simplified method for the determination of parameters is proposed.WU MengXi DU Bin YAO YuanCheng HE XianFeng 2011Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2011,54,11:15
Optimal electroacupuncture frequency for maintaining astrocyte structural integrity in cerebral ischemia显示文摘The astrocyte is a critical regulator of neuronal survival after ischemic brain injury. Electroacupuncture may be an effective therapy for cerebral ischemia, as electroacupuncture frequency can affect the structural integrity of astrocytes. In this study, a rat model of middle cerebral artery occlusion established using the modified thread embolism method was treated with electroacupuncture of the bilateral Quchi (LI11) and Zusanli (ST36) at 15, 30, and 100 Hz frequencies. Behavioral testing, immunohistochemistry and electron microscopy were used to explore the effect of these electroacupuncture frequencies used on maintaining the structural integrity of ischemic brain tissue. Compared with the model and 100 Hz electroacupuncture groups, the 15 and 30 Hz electroacupuncture groups displayed decreased neurological deficit scores, as evaluated by the 'Longa' method, significantly increased glial fibrillary acidic protein expression, and alleviated ultrastructural damage of astrocytes at the edge of the infarct. Our experimental findings indicate that 15 and 30 Hz electroacupuncture intervention can favorably maintain the structural integrity of astrocytes and play a protective role in cerebral ischemic injury. Astrocyte structural integrity may be the mechanism underlying acupuncture production of ischemic tolerance.Yicai Xiao Xingui Wu Xiangfa Deng Liping Huang Yuancheng Zhou Xuejie Yang 2013Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,12:14
Genetic and biological characteristics of the globally circulating H5N8 avian influenza viruses and the protective efficacy offered by the poultry vaccine currently used in China显示文摘The H5N8 avian influenza viruses have been widely circulating in wild birds and are responsible for the loss of over 33 million domestic poultry in Europe, Russia, Middle East, and Asia since January 2020. To monitor the invasion and spread of the H5N8 virus in China, we performed active surveillance by analyzing 317 wild bird samples and swab samples collected from 41,172 poultry all over the country. We isolated 22 H5N8 viruses from wild birds and 14 H5N8 viruses from waterfowls. Genetic analysis indicated that the 36 viruses formed two different genotypes: one genotype viruses were widely detected from different wild birds and domestic waterfowls;the other genotype was isolated from a whopper swan. We further revealed the origin and spatiotemporal spread of these two distinct H5N8 virus genotypes in 2020 and 2021. Animal studies indicated that the H5N8 isolates are highly pathogenic to chickens, mildly pathogenic in ducks, but have distinct pathotypes in mice. Moreover, we found that vaccinated poultry in China could be completely protected against H5N8 virus challenge. Given that the H5N8 viruses are likely to continue to spread in wild birds, vaccination of poultry is highly recommended in high-risk countries to prevent H5N8 avian influenza.Pengfei Cui Xianying Zeng Xuyong Li Yanbing Li Jianzhong Shi Conghui Zhao Zhiyuan Qu Yanwen Wang Jing Guo Wenli Gu Qi Ma Yuancheng Zhang Weipeng Lin Minghui Li Jingman Tian Dongxue Wang Xin Xing Yanjing Liu Shuxin Pan Yaping Zhang Hongmei Bao Liling Liu Guobin Tian Chengjun Li Guohua Deng Hualan Chen 2022Science China(Life Sciences)2022,65,4:12

Degradation of 4-nitrophenol by electrocatalysis and advanced oxidation processes using Co3O4@C anode coupled with simultaneous CO2 reduction via SnO2/CC cathode显示文摘Herein,we prepa red novel three-dimensional(3D)gear-s haped Co3O4@C(Co3O4 modified by amorphous carbon)and sheet-like SnO2/CC(SnO2 grow on the carbon cloth)as anode and cathode to achieve efficient removal of 4-nitrophenol(4-NP)in the presence of peroxymonosulfate(PMS)and simultaneous electrocatalytic reduction of CO2,respectively.In this process,4-NP was mineralized into CO2 by the Co3O4@C,and the generated CO2 was reduced into HCOOH by the sheet-like SnO2/CC cathode.Compared with the pure Co0.5(Co3O4 was prepared using 0.5 g urea)with PMS(30 mg,0.5 g/L),the degradation efficiency of 4-NP(60 mL,10 mg/L)increased from 74.5%-85.1%in 60 min using the Co0.5 modified by amorphous carbon(Co0.5@C).Furthermore,when the voltage of 1.0 V was added in the anodic system of Co0.5@C with PMS(30 mg,0.5 g/L),the degradation efficiency of 4-NP increased from 85.1%-99.1%when Pt was used as cathode. In the experiments of 4-NP degradation coupled with simultaneous electrocatalytic CO2 reduction, the degradation efficiency of 4-NP was 99.0%in the anodic system of Co0.5@C with addition of PMS(30 mg,0.5 g/L),while the Faraday efficiency(FE)of HCOOH was 24.1%at voltage of-1.3 V using the SnO2/CC as cathode. The results showed that the anode of Co3O4 modified by amorphous carbon can markedly improve the degradation efficiency of 4-NP,while the cathode of SnO2/CC can greatly improve the FE and selectivity of CO2 reduction to HCOOH and the stability of cathode. Finally, the promotion mechanism was proposed to explain the degradation of organic pollutants and reduction of CO2 into HCOOH in the process of electrocatalysis coupled with advanced oxidation processes(AOPs)and simultaneous CO2 reduction.Meng Zhu Longshuai Zhang Shanshan Liu Dengke Wang Yuancheng Qin Ying Chen Weili Dai Yuehua Wang Qiuju Xing Jianping Zou 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,7:7
Maize orthologs of rice GS5 and their transregulator are associated with kernel development显示文摘Genome information from model species such as rice can assist in the cloning of genes in a complex genome, such as maize. Here,we identified a maize ortholog of rice GS5 that contributes to kernel development in maize. The genomewide association analysis of the expression levels of ZmGS5,and 15 of its 26 paralogs, identified a trans-regulator on chromosome 7,which was a BAKi-like gene. This gene that we named as ZmBAK1-7 could regulate the expression of ZmGS5 and three of the paralogs.Candidate-gene association analyses revealed that these five genes were associated with maize kernel development-related traits.Linkage analyses also detected that ZmGSs and ZmBAK1-7 co-localized with mapped QTLs.A transgenic analysis of ZmGS5 in Arabidopsis thaliana L.showed a significant increase in seed weight and cell number, suggesting that ZmGS5 may have a conserved function among different plant species that affects seed development.Jie Liu Min Deng Huan Guo Sharif Raihan Jingyun Luo Yuancheng Xu Xiaofei Dong Jianbing Yan 2015Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2015,57,11:4
RNA-seq analysis identified hormone-related genes associated with prognosis of triple negative breast cancer显示文摘Triple negative breast cancer(TNBC) is an aggressive subtype of breast cancer that currently lacks effective biomarkers and therapeutic targets required to investigate the diagnosis and treatment of TNBC. Here we performed a comprehensive differential analysis of 165 TNBC samples by integrating RNA-seq data of breast tumor tissues and adjacent normal tissues from both our cohort and The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA). Pathway enrichment analysis was conducted to evaluate the biological function of TNBC-specific expressed genes. Further multivariate Cox proportional hazard regression was performed to evaluate the effect of these genes on TNBC prognosis. In this report, we identified a total of 148 TNBC-specific expressed genes that were primarily enriched in mammary gland morphogenesis and hormone levels related pathways, suggesting that mammary gland morphogenesis might play a unique role in TNBC patients differing from other breast cancer types. Further survival analysis revealed that nine genes(FSIP1, ADCY5, FSD1, HMSD, CMTM5, AFF3, CYP2 A7, ATP1 A2,and C11 orf86) were significantly associated with the prognosis of TNBC patients, while three of them(ADCY5,CYP2 A7, and ATP1 A2) were involved in the hormone-related pathways. These findings indicated the vital role of the hormone-related genes in TNBC tumorigenesis and may provide some independent prognostic markers as well as novel therapeutic targets for TNBC.Fei Chen Yuancheng Li Na Qin Fengliang Wang Jiangbo Du Cheng Wang Fangzhi Du Tao Jiang Yue Jiang Juncheng Dai Zhibin Hu Cheng Lu Hongbing Shen 2020The Journal of Biomedical Research2020,34,2:4
Study on Local Resistance of non-Newtonian Power Law Fluid in Elbow Pipes显示文摘This paper focuses on the flow characteristic and local resistance of non-Newtonian power law fluid in a curved90° bend pipe with circular cross-sections,which are widely used in industrial applications.By employing numerical simulation and theoretical analysis the properties of the flow and local resistance of power law fluid under different working conditions are obtained. To explore the change rule the experiment is carried out by changing the Reynolds number, the wall roughness and different diameter ratio of elbow pipe. The variation of the local resistance coefficient with the Reynolds number, the diameter ratio and the wall roughness is presented comprehensively in the paper. The results show that the local resistance force coefficient hardly changes with Reynolds number of the power law fluid;the wall roughness has a significant impact on the local resistance coefficient. As the pipe wall roughness increasing, the coefficient of local resistance force will increase. The main reason of the influence of the roughness on the local resistance coefficient is the increase of the eddy current region in the power law fluid flow, which increases the kinetic energy dissipation of the main flow. This paper provides theoretical and numerical methods to understand the local resistance property of non-Newtonian power law fluid in elbow pipes.ZHANG Hao XU Tiantian ZHANG Xinxin WANG Yuxiang WANG Yuancheng LIU Xueting 2016Journal of Thermal Science2016,25,3:4
Comprehensive functional annotation of susceptibility variants identifies genetic heterogeneity between lung adenocarcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma显示文摘Although genome-wide association studies have identified more than eighty genetic variants associated with non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)risk, biological mechanisms of these variants remain largely unknown.By integrating a large-scale genotype data of 15581 lung adenocarcinoma(AD)cases,8350 squamous cell carcinoma(SqCC)cases, and 27355 controls,as well as multiple transcriptome and epigenomic databases,we conducted histology-specific meta-analyses and functional annotations of both reported and novel susceptibility variants. We identified 3064 credible risk variants for NSCLC,which were overrepresented in enhancer-like and promoter-like histone modification peaks as well as DNase I hypersensitive sites.Transcription factor enrichment analysis revealed that USF1 was AD-specific while CREB1 was SqCC-specific.Functional annotation and genebased analysis implicated 894 target genes, including 274 specifics for AD and 123 for SqCC,which were overrepresented in somatic driver genes(ER=1.95,P=0.005).Pathway enrichment analysis and Gene-Set Enrichment Analysis revealed that AD genes were primarily involved in immune-related pathways, while SqCC genes were homologous recombination deficiency related. Our results illustrate the molecular basis of both wellstudied and new susceptibility loci of NSCLC,providing not only novel insights into the genetic heterogeneity between AD and SqCC but also a set of plausible gene targets for post-GWAS functional experiments.Na Qin Yuancheng Li Cheng Wang Meng Zhu Juncheng Dai Tongtong Hong Demetrius Albanes Stephen Lam Adonina Tardon Chu Chen Gary Goodman Stig EBojesen Maria Teresa Landi Mattias Johansson Angela Risch H-Erich Wichmann Heike Bickeboller Gadi Rennert Susanne Arnold Paul Brennan John KField Sanjay Shete Loic Le Marchand Olle Melander Hans Brunnstrom Geoffrey Liu Rayjean JHung Angeline Andrew Lambertus AKiemeney Shan Zienolddiny Kjell Grankvist Mikael Johansson Neil Caporaso Penella Woll Philip Lazarus Matthew BSchabath Melinda CAldrich Victoria LStevens Guangfu Jin David CChristiani Zhibin Hu Christopher IAmos Hongxia Ma Hongbing Shen 2021Frontiers of Medicine2021,15,2:3
Active control of EIT-like response in a symmetry-broken metasurface with orthogonal electric dipolar resonators显示文摘The active control of electromagnetic response in metamaterial and mutual coupling between resonant building blocks is of fundamental importance in realizing high-quality metamaterials. In this work, we propose and experimentally demonstrate the tunabilities of symmetry-broken metasurfaces made of orthogonal electric dipolar resonators. The metasurface with vertical and horizontal wires is integrated with a PIN diode for active control. It is found that the electromagnetically induced transparency(EIT)-like spectrum appears due to the destructive or constructive interferences between the two electric dipolar modes when the structural symmetry broken is introduced to the metasurface. Different from previous works on the EIT-like effect, there is only electric dipole response in our metasuface. The microscopic response of the metasurface is numerically calculated to illustrate the mode coupling between the orthogonal electric dipolar resonators. By applying temporal coupled-mode theory, the interaction between the electromagnetic wave and the symmetry-broken metasurface is described, and the characteristic parameters of the resonator system, which determine the electromagnetic response of the metasurface, are acquired.RUISHENG YANG QUANHONG FU YUANCHENG FAN WEIQI CAI KEPENG QIU WEIHONG ZHANG FULI ZHANG 2019Photonics Research2019,7,9:3
Low power and high uniformity of HfO_x-based RRAM via tip-enhanced electric fields显示文摘In this paper, the HfO_x-based resistive random access memory(RRAM) devices with sub-100 nm pyramid-type electrodes were fabricated. With the help of tip-enhanced electric field around the pyramid-type electrodes, it was experimentally demonstrated that the novel devices have better cycle-to-cycle variation control, lower forming/set voltage(1.97/0.7V) and faster switching speed(≤30 ns under 0.9V pulse) as well as better endurance reliability than conventional flat electrode resistive memory devices. In addition, the novel RRAM is experimentally demonstrated with independence of electrode number for the first time to present great potential in scaling down. This novel structure metal-oxide based RRAM will be suitable for the future low-power non-volatile memory application.Xiaokang LI Baotong ZHANG Bowen WANG Xiaoyan XU Yuancheng YANG Shuang SUN Qifeng CAI Shijie HU Xia AN Ming LI Ru HUANG 2019Science China(Information Sciences)2019,62,10:3
Regulating closed pore structure enables significantly improved sodium storage for hard carbon pyrolyzing at relatively low temperature显示文摘The closed pore has been considered as the key structure for Na ion storage in hard carbon. However, the traditional view is that closed pores can only be formed by the curling of graphite-like crystallites in the case of high temperature carbonization.Ingenious designing of closed pore structures at lower temperature is still blank.Herein, for the first time, engineering the wall thickness and number of closed pores in waste rosewood-derived hard carbon was successfully achieved at a low temperature of 1100℃ by removing the lignin and hemicellulose components in wood precursor. When applied as an anode material, the optimum sample exhibits a high capacity of 326 mAh/g at 20 mA/g and a remarkable rate capability of 230mAh/g at 5000 mA/g,significantly higher than those of the untreated sample(only 33 mAh/g at 5000 mA/g).The significantly improved Na storage performance should be attributed to abundant closed pores that provide sufficient spaces forNa storage and thin porewall structure that is beneficial to the diffusion of Na^(+)in the bulk phase. This work provides a new idea for the future application of biomass-based hard carbon for advanced Na ion batteries.Siyu Zhou Zheng Tang Zhiyi Pan Yuancheng Huang Le Zhao Xi Zhang Dan Sun Yougen Tang Abdelghaffar S.Dhmees Haiyan Wang 2022SusMat2022,2,3:2

Pressure of Newtonian Fluid Flow through Curved Pipes and Elbows显示文摘Under conditions of high temperature and high pressure, the non-uniformity of pressure loads has intensified the stress concentration which impacts the safety of curved pipes and elbows. This paper focuses on the pressure distribution and flow characteristic in a curved 90 o bend pipe with circular cross-sections, which are widely used in industrial applications. These flow and pressure characteristics in curved bend pipes have been researched by employing numerical simulation and theoretical analysis. Based on the dimensionless analysis method a formula for the pressure of Newtonian fluid flow through the elbow pipes is deduced. Also the pressure distributions of several elbows with different curvature ratio R/D are obtained by numerical methods. The influence of these non-dimensional parameters such as non-dimensional curvature ratio, Reynolds number and non-dimensional axial angle α and circumferential angle β on the pressure distribution in elbow pipes is discussed in detail. A number of important results have been achieved. This paper provides theoretical and numerical methods to understand the mechanical property of fluid flow in elbow pipes, to analyze the stress and to design the wall thickness of elbow pipes.Hao Zhang Xinxin Zhang Haosen Sun Mingjiu Chen Xiaoyang Lu Yuancheng Wang Xueting Liu 2013Journal of Thermal Science2013,22,4:2

Biomimetic fluorapatite films for conservation of historic calcareous stones显示文摘Fluorapatite protective films were prepared on marble substrates using a biomimetic method. By mimicking the mineralization mechanism of enamel, phosphorus and fluorine were introduced on the surface of the marble substrate. In the presence of a biological template, namely collagen, an integrated fluorapatite film was produced and the marble substrate was entirely covered. The prepared fluorapatite films were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) spectroscopy. The performances of the fluorapatite films were evaluated by color changes, capillary water absorption, and acid resistance tests. The results revealed that the fluorapatite films had good compatibility with the marble substrate; the physical properties such as color and capillary water adsorption of the marble substrates were unchanged. The fluorapatite films also had good acid resistance and were stable even in heavy acid rain.YANG FuWei LIU Yan ZUO GuoFang ZHU YuanCheng ZHANG BingJian HUA PingNing 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,13:2

Polymorphism analysis of PARK2 gene mutations in Han Chinese patients with early-onset Parkinson's disease显示文摘The PARK2 gene is a common disease gene in Han Chinese patients with Parkinson's disease. The detection of mutations in the PARK2 gene remains low. To investigate the role PARK2 gene mutations play in the pathogenesis of Parkinson's disease, 30 Han Chinese patients with early-onset Parkinson's disease and 38 normal controls were studied to determine the sequence changes of 1, 4, 6 and 7 exon sections. In the 30 patients with Parkinson's disease, a heterozygous intron mutation (nt 119, G→G/A) in exon 1 was detected in one case; a homozygous intron mutation (nt 526500, T→C) between intron 3 and exon 4 in fourteen cases was found; a heterozygous intron mutation (nt 526607, G→G/A) between intron 3 and exon 4 was observed in eight cases; an exon 6 missense mutation (nt 754317, C→C/T; codon 193, CGG→CGG/TGG; aa 193, Arg→Arg/Trp) in three cases was seen; and an exon 7 missense mutation (nt 941943, C→A/C; codon 272, CTC→CTC/ATC; aa 272, Leu→Leu/Ile) was found in one case. These changes were not found in the normal population. The results indicated that the PARK2 exons 6 and 7 mutations are possibly pathogenic mutations, along with the intron 3-exon 4 and exon 1 mutations. PARK2 gene mutations are possible factors leading to the onset of Parkinson's disease.Yuancheng Bao Ting Guan Yuanxun Yu Huaizhou Jiang Changshui Fang Lijuan Chen 2010Neural Regeneration Research2010,5,20:2
