1Relation of loudness to loudness just noticeable difference of tone显示文摘A relation of loudness to loudness just noticeable difference (JND) is derived based on signal detection theory and the hypothesis that loudness is the nerve spike count in the duration of T, and the spike rate distribution of stable tonal stimulus is a stable normal stochastic process. 2Direct demonstration of carrier distribution and recombination within step-bunched UV-LEDs显示文摘AlGaN-based solid state UV emitters have many advantages over conventional UV sources. However, UV-LEDs still suffer from numerous challenges, including low quantum efficiency compared to their blue LED counterparts. One of the inherent reasons is a lack of carrier localization effect inside fully miscible AlGaN alloys. In the pursuit of phase separation and carrier localization inside the active region of AlGaN UV-LED, utilization of highly misoriented substrates proves to be useful, yet the carrier distribution and recombination mechanism in such structures has seldom been reported. In this paper, a UV-LED with step-bunched surface morphology was designed and fabricated, and the internal mechanism of high internal quantum efficiency was studied in detail. The correlation between microscale current distribution and surface morphology was provided, directly demonstrating that current prefers to flow through the step edges of the epitaxial layers. Experimental results were further supported by numerical simulation. It was found that efficient radiative recombination centers were formed in the inclined quantum well regions. A schematic three-dimensional energy band structure of the multiple quantum wells(MQWs) across the step was proposed and helps in further understanding the luminescence behavior of LEDs grown on misoriented substrates. 6“1+1>2”:Highly efficient removal of organic pollutants by composite nanofibrous membrane based on the synergistic effect of adsorption and photocatalysis显示文摘Adsorption and photocatalysis are regarded as two desirable technologies for wastewater remediation,but are still unsatisfactory in removal effect,eco-friendly regeneration and facile reusability.In this study,we developed a composite nanofibrous membrane material with excellent removal performance for organic pollutants based on synergistic adsorption and photocatalysis.A novel boron-doped,nitrogen-deficient graphitic carbon nitride(B-C3N4)photocatalyst as well as an amphiphilic copolymer of methyl methacrylate and acrylic acid(p(MMA-AA))were synthesized respectively,and then used to modify polyethersulfone for the fabrication of composite nanofibrous membrane with improved hydrophilicity,negativelycharge property and enhanced visible light response simultaneously.Subsequently,the synergistic effect of adsorption and photocatalytic degradation for organic pollutants were identified especially and resulted in an excellent removal efficiency even superior to the combination of adsorption and photocatalytic degradation,which could be called a“1+1>2”effect.In addition,the regeneration and reusability,the purification ability for multicomponent wastewater,and the photocatalytic mechanism,were investigated and discussed systematically.In this work,we not only prepared the nanofibrous membrane with synergistic effect of adsorption and photocatalysis,but also provided a versatile approach to design dualfunctional support material to ensure the practical applications of powdery photocatalyst in wastewater treatment.Yuanting Xu Wanting Lin Dandan Yuan Shifan Chen Fang Li Yanping Long Chao He Weifeng Zhao Changsheng Zhao 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,29:1
7Coupled Aerodynamic and Hydrodynamic Analysis of Floating Offshore Wind Turbine Using CFD Method显示文摘To simulate floating offshore wind turbine(FOWT)in coupled wind-wave domain via CFD method,the NREL 5MW wind turbine supported by the OC3-Hywind Spar platform is modeled in the STAR-CCM+ software.Based on the Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes(RANS)equations and re-normalisation group(RNG)k-εturbulence model,the rotor aerodynamic simulation for wind turbine is conducted.Numerical results agree well with the NREL data.Taking advantage with the volume of fluid(VOF)method and dynamic fluid body interaction(DFBI)technology,the dynamic responses of the floating system with mooring lines are simulated under the coupled wind-wave sea condition.The free-decay tests for rigid-body degrees of freedom(DOFs)in still water and hydrodynamic tests in a regular wave are performed to validate the numerical model by comparing its result with the results simulated by FAST.Finally,the simulations of the overall FOWT system in the coupled wind-wave flow field are carried out.The relationship between the power output and dynamic motion responses of the platform is investigated.The numerical results show that the dynamic response of wind turbine performance and platform motions all vary in the same frequency as the inlet wave.During platform motion,the power output of wind turbine is more sensitive than the thrust force.This study may provide some reference for further research in the coupled aero-hydro simulation of FOWT.Wu Jun Meng Long Zhao Yongsheng He Yanping 2016Transactions of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics2016,33,1:1
8Magnetoelectric effect generated through electron transfer from organic radical to metal ion显示文摘Magnetoelectric(ME)materials induced by electron transfer are extremely rare.Electron transfer in these materials invariably occurs between the metal ions.In contrast,ME properties induced by electron transfer from an organic radical to a metal ion have never been observed.Here,we report the ME coupling effect in a mononuclear molecule-based compound[(CH_(3))_(3)NCH_(2)CH_(2)Br][Fe(Cl_(2)An)_(2)(H_(2)O)_(2)](1)[Cl_(2)An=chloranilate,(CH_(3))_(3)NCH_(2)CH_(2)Br+=(2-bromoethyl)trimethylammonium].Investigation of the mechanism revealed that the ME coupling effect is realized through electron transfer from the Cl_(2)An to the Fe ion.Measurement of the magnetodielectric(MD)coefficient of 1 indicated a positive MD of up to~12%at 103.0Hz and 370 K,which is very different from that of ME materials with conventional electron transfer for which the MD is generally negative.Thus,the current work not only presents a novel ME coupling mechanism,but also opens a new route to the synthesis of ME coupling materials.Xiaolin Liu Qiang Liu Haixia Zhao Guilin Zhuang Yanping Ren Tao Liu Lasheng Long Lansun Zheng 2023National Science Review2023,10,4:0
9Comparative investigations on pilot-scale anaerobic digestion of food waste at 30℃and 35℃显示文摘Parallel pilot-scale anaerobic digestion systems were conducted to evaluate the influence of system temperatures(30℃and 35℃)on digestion performance,greenhouse gas control and economic efficiency.Biogas productions(6.64-12.96 m3/d)and methane yields(0.46-0.61 m3/kg VS)of 35℃digestion system were significantly higher than those of 30℃digestion system with the organic loading rate(OLR)of 2.0-4.5 kg VS/m3·d.Two regression equations of methane yields with increasing OLRs were fitted at 30℃and 35℃to predict the methane production of practical food waste(FW)digestion plants.By analyzing process stability,the optimal operating OLRs of 35℃digestion system(4.0 kg VS/m3·d)was found to be higher than that of 30℃digestion system(3.0 kg VS/m3·d),indicating that the 35℃digestion system had better processing capacity.The greenhouse gas emission under corresponding optimal operating OLR of 35℃digestion system was also calculated to be better than that of 30℃digestion system.Even the system temperature of 30℃was found to be more suitable for the digestion where OLR was less than 3.0 kg VS/m3·d,a higher operational temperature of 35℃was still a better choice for conventional high-solid digestion.Wang Long Zhu Baoning Yuan Hairong Liu Yanping Zou Dexun Li Xiujin 2016International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2016,9,1:0

The disease had occurred in large area in the late 1970 s,and became a limiting factor restricting the improvement of maize yield and total yield in China. 12Photo-responsive functional materials based on light-driven molecular motors显示文摘In the past two decades,the research and development of light-triggered molecular machines have mainly focused on developing molecular devices at the nanoscale.A key scientific issue in the field is how to amplify the controlled motion of molecules at the nanoscale along multiple length scales,such as the mesoscopic or the macroscopic scale,or in a more practical perspective,how to convert molecular motion into changes of properties of a macroscopic material.Light-driven molecular motors are able to perform repetitive unidirectional rotation upon irradiation,which offers unique opportunities for responsive macroscopic systems.With several reviews that focus on the design,synthesis and operation of the motors at the nanoscale,photo-responsive macroscopic materials based on light-driven molecular motors have not been comprehensively summarized.In the present review,we first discuss the strategy of confining absolute molecular rotation into relative rotation by grafting motors on surfaces.Secondly,examples of self-assemble motors in supramolecular polymers with high internal order are illustrated.Moreover,we will focus on building of motors in a covalently linked system such as polymeric gels and polymeric liquid crystals to generate complex responsive functions.Finally,a perspective toward future developments and opportunities is given.This review helps us getting a more and more clear picture and understanding on how complex movement can be programmed in light-responsive systems and how man-made adaptive materials can be invented,which can serve as an important guideline for further design of complex and advanced responsive materials.Yanping Deng Guiying Long Yang Zhang Wei Zhao Guofu Zhou Ben L.Feringa Jiawen Chen 2024Light(Science & Applications)2024,13,3:0
13“Coffee ring” controlment in spray prepared >19% efficiency Cs_(0.19)FA_(0.81)PbI_(2.5)Br_(0.5) perovskite solar cells显示文摘Achieving high-quality perovskite films with uniform morphology and homogeneous crystallinity is challenging owing to the coffee ring effect(CRE) in the spray-coating technologies. In this study, an evaporation/spray-coating two-step deposition method is used to fabricate Cs_(0.19)FA_(0.81)PbI_(2.5)Br_(0.5)light harvesters for perovskite solar cells(PSCs). Considering the solid–liquid reaction, we establish a reaction-dependent regulating strategy that inhibits CRE successfully and prepare a high-quality perovskite layer, wherein the solvent for the FAI/Br solution during the spraying process is changed from isopropanol to n-butyl alcohol(NBA). The retarded-drying-enhanced spreading of the NBA solution inhibits contact line pinning to suppress the capillary flows and increases the reaction between metal halides(CsI/PbI_(2)) and organic salts(FAI/Br), which result in a reduction in the accumulation of solutes in the periphery effectively inhibiting CRE. Consequently, we obtain a high performance Cs_(0.19)FA_(0.81)PbI_(2.5)Br_(0.5) PSC with a power conversion efficiency(PCE) of 19.17%. An enlarged perovskite film(10 × 10 cm^(2)) containing 40 sub-cells is prepared. The average PCE of these devices is 18.33 ± 0.56%, proving the reliability of the 'coffee ring' regulating strategy. 14Efficient triplet pair separation from intramolecular singlet fission in dibenzopentalene derivatives显示文摘In intramolecular SF(iSF), the strong coupling nature and confinement of diffusional separation of ^1(TT) limits the extraction and harnessing of triplet energy. In order to investigate the possible ^1(TT) separation and the role of molecular parameters on it, a series of iSF-capable dibenzopentalene derivatives(DBPs) have been synthesized and their photoinduced dynamics are monitored. iSF takes place in DBPs, accompanied by consecutive ^1(TT) separation in polycrystalline film with almost ^100% yield. It is suggested the strong intermolecular coupling provided by the closely packing configuration in the film facilitates the disentanglement of correlated ^1(TT).
