| 4 | Prediction of a common neutralizing epitope of H5N1 avian influenza virus by in silico molecular docking显示文摘The H5N1 avian influenza virus (AIV) has widely spread in Asia, Europe and Africa, making a large amount of economic loss. Recently, our research group has screened a common neutralizing mono- clonal antibody named 8H5, which can neutralize almost all H5 subtype AIV ever isolated so far. Obvi- ously, this monoclonal antibody would benefit for research and development of the universal AIV vac- cine and design of the drug against H5N1 AIV in high mutation rate. In this study, the homology mod- eling was applied to generate the 3D structure of 8H5 Fab fragment, and 'canonical structure' method was used to define the specified loop conformation of CDR regions. The model was subjected to en- ergy minimization in cvff force field with Discovery module in Insight II program. The resulting model has correct stereochemistry as gauged from the Ramachandran plot calculation and good 3D-structure compatibility as assessed by interaction energy analysis, solvent accessible surface (SAS) analysis, and Profiles-3D approach. Furthermore, the 8H5 Fab model was subjected to docking with three H5 subtype hemagglutinin (HA) structures deposited in PDB (ID No: 1jsm, 2ibx and 2fk0) respectively. The result indicates that the three docked complexes share a common binding interface, but differ in bind- ing angle related with HA structure similarity between viral subtypes. In the light of the three HA inter- faces with structural homology analysis, the common neutralizing epitope on HA recognized by 8H5 consists of 9 incontinuous amino acid residues: Asp68, Asn72, Glu112, Lys113, Ile114, Pro118, Ser120, Tyr137, Tyr252 (numbered as for 1jsm sequence). | 6 | A clique-superposition model for social networks显示文摘How does a social network evolve? | 14 | Fabrication and Properties of Closed-pore Al_2O_3-based Refractory Aggregates显示文摘A novel Al_2O_3-based refractory aggregate with closed-pore structure was fabricated utilizing superplasticity with submicro-sized Al_2O_3 and MgO as raw materials,and SiC as a high temperature pore-forming agent.The effect of MgO on porosity,phase composition and microstructure of the refractory aggregate has been investigated. For comparison,the common Al_2O_3-based refractory aggregates and porous ones with open-pore structure were also prepared. The results indicate that the closed porosity of Al_2O_3-based refractory aggregate increases as the content of MgO increases. When the content of MgO is 15 mass%,the closed and apparent porosities are 14. 5% and 1. 1%,respectively. The main phase compositions are Al_2O_3 and MgAl_2O_4. The formation mechanism of closed pores is that the fine-crystallinegrain Al_2O_3 ceramic possesses superplastic deformation ability after adding MgO at high temperatures. When SiC powder is added to the Al_2O_3 ceramic,the generated gases by the reaction of SiC at the sintering temperature can provide a pressure to make grain boundaries slide. Then,the gases are enclosed by crystalline grains to form the closed pores. | 15 | Current situation and development trend of design methods for subgrade structure of high speed railways显示文摘Purpose–This method will become a new development trend in subgrade structure design for high speed railways.Design/methodology/approach–This paper summarizes the structural types and design methods of subgrade bed for high speed railways in China,Japan,France,Germany,the United States and other countries based on the study and analysis of existing literature and combined with the research results and practices of high speed railway subgrade engineering at home and abroad.Findings–It is found that in foreign countries,the layered reinforced structure is generally adopted for the subgrade bed of high speed railways,and the unified double-layer or multi-layer structure is adopted for the surface layer of subgrade bed,while the simple structure is adopted in China;in foreign countries,different inspection parameters are adopted to evaluate the compaction state of fillers according to their respective understanding and practice,while in China,compaction coefficient,subsoil coefficient and dynamic deformation modulus are adopted for such evaluation;in foreign countries,the subgrade top deformation control method,the subgrade bottom deformation control method,the subsurface fill strength control method are mainly adopted in subgrade bed structure design of high speed railways,while in China,dynamic deformation control of subgrade surface and dynamic strain control of subgrade bed bottom layer is adopted in the design.However,the cumulative deformation of subgrade caused by train cyclic vibration load is not considered in the existing design methods.Originality/value–This paper introduces a new subgrade structure design method based on whole-process dynamics analysis that meets subgrade functional requirements and is established on the basis of the existing research at home and abroad on prediction methods for cumulative deformation of subgrade soil. | Yangsheng Ye Degou Cai Qianli Zhang Shaowei Wei Hongye Yan Lin Geng | 2023 | Railway Sciences2023,2,3: | 0 |
| 16 | Response of tomato growth to continuous elevated CO_(2)concentration 2 under controlled environment显示文摘CO_(2)fumigation has been extensively used in greenhouses cultivation to enhance crop yield.The effects under the precise level of elevated CO_(2)(e[CO_(2)])on crop morphology,yield,and fruit quality remain largely elusive yet.To explore the response of plant growth to the continuous RCPs(Representative Concentration Pathways)projected CO_(2)concentration[CO_(2)],tomato(Hezuo 908)plants were grown under ambient CO_(2)(a[CO_(2)],462μmol/mol)and e[CO_(2)](550,700,850 and 1000μmol/mol):named as EC550,EC_(700),EC_(850),and EC_(1000),respectively,under uniform environmental condition for two planting seasons.Collective growth of tomato plants(plant height,stem diameter,and leaf area index)was significantly enhanced under EC_(700)and showed a slightly negative response under EC_(850).The optimum yield was stimulated under EC_(700)by 74.05%and 55.91%,while maximum total dry weight(DW_(t))was enhanced under EC_(1000)by 58.23%and 39.78%during autumn-winter and spring-summer planting seasons,respectively,as compared to a[CO_(2)].The greatest yield and least DWt stimulated under EC_(700)for both seasons indicated that EC_(700)improved the ability of the tomato plants to translocate carbohydrates to fruits.Optimum water use efficiency related to yield(WUE_(y))was enhanced by 55.91-210.87%under EC_(700)compared to a[CO_(2)].The titratable acid(TA)was improved by 19.94%(EC_(700)),29.17%(EC_(850)),and 97.92%(EC_(1000)),and the lycopene(Lp)was increased by 2.22%(EC_(700))and reduced by 2.28%(EC_(1000)).Thus,the overall optimum impact on tomato growth was explored under EC_(700).Super e[CO_(2)]did not positively influence the tomato growth process and yield under adequate water and fertilizer conditions.The present study results are beneficial for greenhouse crop production and might be used as a reference to validate the climate change influence modeling. | Muhammad Akhlaq Chuan Zhang Haofang Yan Mingxiong Ou Wencheng Zhang Shaowei Liang Rana Muhammad Adnan Ikram | 2022 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2022,15,6: | 0 |
| 17 | Hierarchical Interconnected NiMoN with Large Specific Surface Area and High Mechanical Strength for Efficient and Stable Alkaline Water/Seawater Hydrogen Evolution显示文摘NiMo-based nanostructures are among the most active hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)catalysts under an alkaline environment due to their strong water dissociation ability.However,these nanostructures are vulnerable to the destructive effects of H_(2) production,especially at industry-standard current densities.Therefore,developing a strategy to improve their mechanical strength while maintaining or even further increasing the activity of these nanocatalysts is of great interest to both the research and industrial communities.Here,a hierarchical interconnected NiMoN(HW-NiMoN-2h)with a nanorod-nanowire morphology was synthesized based on a rational combination of hydrothermal and water bath processes.HW-NiMoN-2h is found to exhibit excellent HER activity due to the accomodation of abundant active sites on its hierarchical morphology,in which nanowires con-nect free-standing nanorods,concurrently strengthening its structural stability to withstand H_(2) production at 1 A cm^(−2).Seawater is an attractive feedstock for water electrolysis since H_(2) generation and water desalination can be addressed simultaneously in a single process.The HER performance of HW-NiMoN-2h in alkaline seawater suggests that the presence of Na+ions interferes with the reation kinetics,thus lowering its activity slightly.However,benefiting from its hierarchical and interconnected characteristics,HW-NiMoN-2h is found to deliver outstanding HER activity of 1 A cm^(−2) at 130 mV overpotential and to exhibit excellent stability at 1 A cm^(−2) over 70 h in 1 M KOH seawater. | Minghui Ning Yu Wang Libo Wu Lun Yang Zhaoyang Chen Shaowei Song Yan Yao Jiming Bao Shuo Chen Zhifeng Ren | 2023 | Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,9: | 0 |
