| 2 | Orbit determination and time synchronization for a GEO/IGSO satellite navigation constellation with regional tracking network显示文摘Aiming at regional services,the space segment of COMPASS (Phase I) satellite navigation system is a constellation of Geostationary Earth Orbit (GEO),Inclined Geostationary Earth Orbit (IGSO) and Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) satellites.Precise orbit determination (POD) for the satellites is limited by the geographic distribution of regional tracking stations.Independent time synchronization (TS) system is developed to supplement the regional tracking network,and satellite clock errors and orbit data may be obtained by simultaneously processing both tracking data and TS data.Consequently,inconsistency between tracking system and TS system caused by remaining instrumental errors not calibrated may decrease navigation accuracy.On the other hand,POD for the mixed constellation of GEO/IGSO/MEO with the regional tracking network leads to parameter estimations that are highly correlated.Notorious example of correlation is found between GEO's orbital elements and its clock errors.We estimate orbital elements and clock errors for a 3GEO+2IGSO constellation in this study using a multi-satellite precise orbit determination (MPOD) strategy,with which clock error elimination algorithm is applied to separate orbital and clock estimates to improve numerical efficiency.Satellite Laser Ranging (SLR) data are used to evaluate User Ranging Error (URE),which is the orbital error projected on a receiver's line-of-sight direction.Two-way radio-wave time transfer measurements are used to evaluate clock errors.Experimenting with data from the regional tracking network,we conclude that the fitting of code data is better than 1 m in terms of Root-Mean-Square (RMS),and fitting of carrier phase is better than 1 cm.For orbital evaluation,difference between computed receiver-satellite ranging based on estimated orbits and SLR measurements is better than 1 m (RMS).For clock estimates evaluation,2-hour linear-fitting shows that the satellite clock rates are about 1.E-10 s/s,while receiver clock rates are about 1×10 13-1×10 12 s/s.For the 72-hour POD experiment,the average differences between POD satellite clock rates estimates and clock measurements based on TS system are about 1×10 13 s/s,and for receiver clock rates,the differences are about 1×10 15 s/s. | ZHOU ShanShi HU XiaoGong WU Bin LIU Li QU WeiJing GUO Rui HE Feng CAO YueLing Wu XiaoLi ZHU LingFeng SHI Xin TAN HongLi | 2011 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2011,54,6: | 44 |
| 3 | Positioning accuracy assessment for the 4GEO/5IGSO/2MEO constellation of COMPASS显示文摘Determined to become a new member of the well-established GNSS family,COMPASS(or BeiDou-2) is developing its capabilities to provide high accuracy positioning services.Two positioning modes are investigated in this study to assess the positioning accuracy of COMPASS' 4GEO/5IGSO/2MEO constellation.Precise Point Positioning(PPP) for geodetic users and real-time positioning for common navigation users are utilized.To evaluate PPP accuracy,coordinate time series repeatability and discrepancies with GPS' precise positioning are computed.Experiments show that COMPASS PPP repeatability for the east,north and up components of a receiver within China's Mainland is better than 2 cm,2 cm and 5 cm,respectively.Apparent systematic offsets of several centimeters exist between COMPASS precise positioning and GPS precise positioning,indicating errors remaining in the treatments of COMPASS measurement and dynamic models and reference frame differences existing between two systems.For common positioning users,COMPASS provides both open and authorized services with rapid differential corrections and integrity information available to authorized users.Our assessment shows that in open service positioning accuracy of dual-frequency and single-frequency users is about 5 m and 6 m(RMS),respectively,which may be improved to about 3 m and 4 m(RMS) with the addition of differential corrections.Less accurate Signal In Space User Ranging Error(SIS URE) and Geometric Dilution of Precision(GDOP) contribute to the relatively inferior accuracy of COMPASS as compared to GPS.Since the deployment of the remaining 1 GEO and 2 MEO is not able to significantly improve GDOP,the performance gap could only be overcome either by the use of differential corrections or improvement of the SIS URE,or both. | ZHOU ShanShi CAO YueLing ZHOU JianHua HU XiaoGong TANG ChengPan LIU Li GUO Rui HE Feng CHEN JunPing WU Bin | 2012 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2012,55,12: | 31 |

| 6 | Size distribution of chemical elements and their source apportionment in ambient coarse, fine, and ultrafine particles in Shanghai urban summer atmosphere显示文摘Ambient coarse particles (diameter 1.8-10 μm), fine particles (diameter 0.1-1.8 μm), and ultrafine particles (diameter < 0.1 μm) in the atmosphere of the city of Shanghai were sampled during the summer of 2008 (from Aug 27 to Sep 08). Microscopic characterization of the particles was investigated by scanning electron microscopy coupled with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (SEM/EDX). Mass concentrations of Si, P, S, Cl, K, Ca, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Ni, Cu, Zn, As, Se, Br, Rb, Sr, and Pb in the size-resolved particles were quantified by using synchrotron radiation X-ray fluorescence (SRXRF). Source apportionment of the chemical elements was analyzed by means of an enrichment factor method. Our results showed that the average mass concentrations of coarse particles, fine particles and ultrafine particles in the summer air were 9.38 ± 2.18, 8.82 ± 3.52, and 2.02 ± 0.41 μg/m3, respectively. The mass percentage of the fine particles accounted for 51.47% in the total mass of PM10, indicating that fine particles are the major component in the Shanghai ambient particles. SEM/EDX results showed that the coarse particles were dominated by minerals, fine particles by soot aggregates and fly ashes, and ultrafine particles by soot particles and unidentified particles. SRXRF results demonstrated that crustal elements were mainly distributed in the coarse particles, while heavy metals were in higher proportions in the fine particles. Source apportionment revealed that Si, K, Ca, Fe, Mn, Rb, and Sr were from crustal sources, and S, Cl, Cu, Zn, As, Se, Br, and Pb from anthropogenic sources. | 12 | Gastrointestinal symptoms: A comparison between patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis显示文摘AIM: To compare the prevalence and diversity of gastrointestinal(GI) symptoms in patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis(PD) and hemodialysis(HD).METHODS: Two hundred and ninety-four end-stage renal disease patients participated in the study, including 182 HD and 112 PD patients. Dimension scores were calculated from a modified gastrointestinal symptom rating scale(GSRS) 18-item questionnaire, including items concerning eating dysfunction, and were used for measuring GI symptoms. Information on patient age, condition contributing to end-stage renal disease and the most recent dialysis adequacy assessment(serum Kt/V urea value) was obtained from the follow-up database and by interviewing patients and/or reviewing the medical records. Differences between the HD and PD groups were evaluated using Student's t, Pearson's χ2 or Fisher's exact tests.RESULTS: The overall prevalence of GI symptoms,defined by a GSRS > 1, in end-stage renal disease patients was 70.7%(208/294), which differed between HD and PD patients(76.4% vs 61.6%, P < 0.01). HD patients had a higher prevalence of constipation, abdominal pain and diarrhea compared to PD patients(36.3% vs 17.9%, 32.4% vs 5.4%, 17.6% vs 4.5%, respectively, P < 0.05). PD patients had a higher prevalence of reflux compared to HD patients(32.1% vs 24.2%, P < 0.05). Additionally, reflux and eating dysfunction were more severe in PD patients(GSRS: 1.71 ± 1.15 vs 1.30 ± 0.67, 1.57 ± 0.84 vs 1.39 ± 0.61, respectively, P < 0.05), whereas HD patients had greater abdominal pain, diarrhea and constipation(GSRS: 1.22 ± 0.39 vs 1.04 ± 0.19, 1.19 ± 0.53 vs 1.07 ± 0.35, 1.51 ± 0.83 vs 1.23 ± 0.58, respectively, P < 0.05). | 13 | Seasonal variations and size distributions of water-soluble ions in atmospheric aerosols in Beijing, 2012显示文摘The characteristics of water-soluble ions in airborne particulate matter in Beijing were investigated using ion chromatography. The results showed that the total concentrations of ions were 83.7 ± 48.9 μg/m3 in spring, 54.0 ± 17.0 μg/m3 in summer, 54.1 ± 42.9 μg/m3 in autumn, and 88.8 ± 47.7 μg/m3 in winter, respectively. Furthermore, out of all the ions, NO3-,SO42-and NH4+accounted for 81.2% in spring, 78.5% in summer, 74.6% in autumn, and 76.3%in winter. Mg2+and Ca2+were mainly associated with coarse particles, with a peak that ranged from 5.8 to 9.0 μm. Na+, NH4+and Cl-had a multi-mode distribution with peaks that ranged from 0.43 to 1.1 μm and 4.7 to 9.0 μm. K+, NO3-, and SO42-were mainly associated with fine particles, with a peak that ranged from 0.65 to 2.1 μm. The concentrations of Na+, K+,Mg2+, Ca2+, NH4+, Cl-, NO3-and SO42-were 2.69, 2.32, 1.01, 4.84, 16.9, 11.8, 42.0, and 44.1 μg/m3 in particulate matter(PM) on foggy days, respectively, which were 1.4 to 7.3 times higher than those on clear days. | 15 | Types,Characteristics and Significances of Migrating Pathways of Gas-bearing Fluids in the Shenhu Area,Northern Continental Slope of the South China Sea显示文摘The first marine gas hydrate expedition in China has been conducted by Guangzhou Marine Geological Survey in the Shenhu Area, northern continental slope of the South China Sea. Previous study has analyzed the P-T conditions, geophysical anomalies and saturation calculations of these gas hydrates, but has not documented in detail the migration of gas-bearing fluids in the study area. Based on the interpretations of 2D/3D seismic data, this work identified two types of migration pathways for gas-bearing fluids in the Shenhu area, i.e., vertical and lateral pathways. The vertical pathways(largescale faults, gas chimneys and mud diapirs) presented as steep seismic reflection anomalies, which could be traced downward to the Eocene source rocks and may penetrate into the Late Miocene strata. The deeper gases/fluids might be allowed migrating into the shallower strata through these vertical conduits. However, the distributions showed distinct differences between these pathways. Large-scale faults developed only in the north and northeast of the Shenhu area, while in the drilling area gas chimneys were the sole vertical migration pathways. Since the Pliocene, normal faults, detachment faults and favorable sediments have constituted the lateral pathways in the Shenhu gas hydrate drilling area. Although these lateral pathways were connected with gas chimneys, they exerted different effects on hydrate formation and accumulation. Gas-bearing fluids migrated upward along gas chimneys might further migrate laterally because of the normal faults, thereby enlarging the range of the chimneys. Linking gas chimneys with the seafloor, the detachment faults might act as conduits for escaping gases/fluids. Re-deposited sediments developed at the early stage of the Quaternary were located within the gas hydrate stability zone, so hydrates would be enriched in these favorable sediments. Compared with the migration pathways(large-scale faults and mud diapirs) in the LW3-1 deep-sea oil/gas field, the migration efficiency of the vertical pathways(composed of gas chimneys) in the gas hydrate drilling area might be relatively low. Description and qualitative discrimination of migration pathways in the Shenhu gas hydrate drilling area are helpful to further understand the relationship between good-quality deep source rocks and shallow, mainly biogenicallyproduced, hydrates. As the main source rocks of the Baiyun sag, lacustrine mudstones in the Wenchang and Enping Formations may provide thermogenic methane. Gas chimneys with relatively low migration efficiency created the vertical pathways. Caused by the Dongsha tectonic movement, the release of overpressured fluids might reduce the vertical migration rates of the thermogenic methane. The thick bathyal/abyssal fine-grained sediments since the Late Miocene provided migration media with low permeability. These preconditions may cause carbon isotopic fractionation ofthermogenic methane during long-distance vertical migrations. | 16 | Size-resolved aerosol water-soluble ions at a regional background station of Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei, North China显示文摘The characteristics of water-soluble ions in size-resolved particulate matter were investigated usingion chromatography at Shangdianzi,a regional background station of Beijing,Tianjin,and Hebei.Seasonal total concentrations of ions(Na^+,Mg^(2+),K^+,Ca^(2+),NH_4^+,Cl^-,SO_4^(2-) and NO_3^-) were75.5±52.9 μg/m^3 in spring,26.5±12.3μg/m^3 in summer,22.7±20.4μg/m^3 in autumn,and31.1±23.9 μg/m^3 in winter,respectively.The secondary ions(NO_3^-,SO_4^(2-) and NH_4^+),mainly associated with fine particles,accounted for 84.2%in spring,82.1%in summer,81.5%in autumn and 76.3%in winter of all ions.Strong correlations were found between NH_4^+ and SO_4^(2-)(r=0.95,p<0.01) as well as NH_4^+ and NO_3^-(r=0.90,p<0.01) in fine particles;while in coarse particles,correlations between Mg^(2+) and NO_3^-(r=0.80,p<0.01),and Ca^(2+) and NO_3^-(r=0.85,p<0.01) were found.The concentrations of Na^+,K^+,Mg^(2+),Ca^(2+),NH_4^+,Cl^-,NO_3^-,and SO_4^(2-) were 2.02,0.81,0.36,1.65,9.58,4.01,18.9,and 18.4 μg/m^3 in particulate matter from southeast-derived air masses,which were typically 1.58-3.37 times higher than in northwest trajectories.Thus,concentrations of water-soluble ions at this background station were heavily influenced by regional transport of serious pollution derived from biomass burning,coal combustion,industrial and vehicle exhaust emissions from Beijing,Tianjin,and Hebei. | Yongjie Yang Rui Zhou Yue Yu Yan Yan Yan Liu Yi'an Di Dan Wu Weiqi Zhang | 2017 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2017,29,5: | 16 |
| 17 | Hypoxia upregulates hypoxia inducible factor(HIF)-3α expression in lung epithelial cells: characterization and comparison with HIF-1α显示文摘The role of the hypoxia-inducible factor(HIF)subunits 1α and 2α in response to hypoxia is well established in lungepithelial cells,whereas little is known about HIF-3α with respect to transcriptional and translational regulation by hy-poxia.HIF-3α and HIF-1α are two similar but distinct basic helix-loop-helix-PAS proteins,which have been postulatedto activate hypoxia responsive genes in response to hypoxia.Here,we used quantitative real time RT-PCR and immu-noblotting to determine the activation of HIF-3α vs.HIF-1α by hypoxia.HIF-3α was strongly induced by hypoxia(1%O_2)both at the level of protein and mRNA due to an increase in protein stability and transcriptional activation,whereasHIF-1α protein and mRNA levels enhanced transiently and then decreased because of a reduction in its mRNA stabilityin A549 cells,as measured on mRNA and protein levels.Interestingly,HIF-3α and HIF-1α exhibited strikingly similarresponses to a variety of activating or inhibitory pharmacological agents.These results demonstrate that HIF-3α is ex-pressed abundantly in lung epithelial cells,and that the transcriptional induction of HIF-3α plays an important role in theresponse to hypoxia in vitro.Our findings suggest that HIF-3α,as a member of the HIF system,is complementary ratherthan redundant to HIF-1α induction in protection against hypoxic damage in alveolar epithelial cells. | Qi Fang Li Xiang Rui Wang Yue Wu Yang Han Lin | 2006 | Cell Research2006,16,6: | 14 |
