12018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). 3Liproxstatin-1 is an effective inhibitor of oligodendrocyte ferroptosis induced by inhibition of glutathione peroxidase 4显示文摘Our previous studies showed that ferroptosis plays an important role in the acute and subacute stages of spinal cord injury.High intracellular iron levels and low glutathione levels make oligodendrocytes vulnerable to cell death after central nervous system trauma.In this study,we established an oligodendrocyte(OLN-93 cell line)model of ferroptosis induced by RSL-3,an inhibitor of glutathione peroxidase 4(GPX4).RSL-3 significantly increased intracellular concentrations of reactive oxygen species and malondialdehyde.RSL-3 also inhibited the main antiferroptosis pathway,i.e.,SLC7A11/glutathione/glutathione peroxidase 4(xCT/GSH/GPX4),and downregulated acyl-coenzyme A synthetase long chain family member 4.Furthermore,we evaluated the ability of several compounds to rescue oligodendrocytes from ferroptosis.Liproxstatin-1 was more potent than edaravone or deferoxamine.Liproxstatin-1 not only inhibited mitochondrial lipid peroxidation,but also restored the expression of GSH,GPX4 and ferroptosis suppressor protein 1.These findings suggest that GPX4 inhibition induces ferroptosis in oligodendrocytes,and that liproxstatin-1 is a potent inhibitor of ferroptosis.Therefore,liproxstatin-1 may be a promising drug for the treatment of central nervous system diseases.Bao-You Fan Yi-Lin Pang Wen-Xiang Li Chen-Xi Zhao Yan Zhang Xu Wang Guang-Zhi Ning Xiao-Hong Kong Chang Liu Xue Yao Shi-Qing Feng 2021Neural Regeneration Research2021,16,3:19
4Floor heave in the west wing track haulage roadway of the Tingnan Coal Mine: Mechanism and control显示文摘Floor heave of a roadway is a dynamic phenomenon that often happens in the roadways of coal mines. It seriously affects safe production in the coal mine. Floor heave has long been one of the most difficult problems to be resolved during coal mining. An analysis of floor heave in the soft rock surrounding the roadway, and the factors influencing it, allowed the deformation mechanism in the west wing double track haulage roadway of the Tingnan Coal Mine to be deduced. Three types of floor heave are observed there: intumescent floor heave, extrusion and mobility floor heave, and compound floor heave. Control measures are proposed that have been adopted during a recent repair engineering project. Control of the floor heave in the west wing track haulage roadway was demonstrated. The reliability and rationality of a combined support technology including floor anchors, an inverted arch, and anchoring of both sides was verified by mine pressure data and the field observations. 5Transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt vs endoscopic therapy in preventing variceal rebleeding显示文摘AIM:To compare early use of transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt(TIPS) with endoscopic treatment(ET) for the prophylaxis of recurrent variceal bleeding.METHODS:In-patient data were collected from 190 patients between January 2007 and June 2010 who suffured from variceal bleeding.Patients who were older than 75 years;previously received surgical treatment or endoscopic therapy for variceal bleeding;and complicated with hepatic encephalopathy or hepatic cancer,were excluded from this research.Thirty-five cases lost to follow-up were also excluded.Retrospective analysis was done in 126 eligible cases.Among them,64 patients received TIPS(TIPS group) while 62 patients received endoscopic therapy(ET group).The relevant data were collected by patient review or telephone calls.The occurrence of rebleeding,hepatic encephalopathy or other complications,survival rateand cost of treatment were compared between the two groups.RESULTS:During the follow-up period(median,20.7 and 18.7 mo in TIPS and ET groups,respectively),rebleeding from any source occurred in 11 patients in the TIPS group as compared with 31 patients in the ET group(Kaplan-Meier analysis and log-rank test,P = 0.000).Rebleeding rates at any time point(6 wk,1 year and 2 year) in the TIPS group were lower than in the ET group(Bonferroni correction α' = α/3).Eight patients in the TIPS group and 16 in the ET group died with the cumulative survival rates of 80.6% and 64.9%(Kaplan-Meier analysis and log-rank test c2 = 4.864,P = 0.02),respectively.There was no significant difference between the two groups with respect to 6-wk survival rates(Bonferroni correction α' = α/3).However,significant differences were observed between the two groups in the 1-year survival rates(92% and 79%) and the 2-year survival rates(89% and 64.9%)(Bonferroni correction α' = α/3).No significant differences were observed between the two treatment groups in the occurrence of hepatic encephalopathy(12 patients in TIPS group and 5 in ET group,KaplanMeier analysis and log-rank test,c2 = 3.103,P = 0.08).The average total cost for the TIPS group was higher than for ET group(Wilcxon-Mann Whitney test,52 678 RMB vs 38 844 RMB,P < 0.05),but hospitalization frequency and hospital stay during follow-up period were lower(Wilcxon-Mann Whitney test,0.4 d vs 1.3 d,P = 0.01;5 d vs 19 d,P < 0.05).CONCLUSION:Early use of TIPS is more effective than endoscopic treatment in preventing variceal rebleeding and improving survival rate,and does not increase occurrence of hepatic encephalopathy.Hui Xue Meng Zhang Jack XQ Pang Fei Yan Ying-Chao Li Liang-Shan Lv Jia Yuan Muna Palikhe Wei-Zhi Li Zhi-Lun Wang 2012World Journal of Gastroenterology2012,18,48:17

7Debromination of decabromodiphenyl ether by organo-montmorillonitesupported nanoscale zero-valent iron: Preparation, characterization and influence factors显示文摘An organo-montmorillonite-supported nanoscale zero-valent iron material(M-NZVI) was synthesized to degrade decabromodiphenyl ether(BDE-209). The results showed that nanoscale zero-valent iron had good dispersion on organo-montmorillonite and was present as a core-shell structure with a particle size range of nanoscale iron between 30–90 nm, characterized by XRD, SEM, TEM, XRF, ICP-AES, and XPS. The results of the degradation of BDE-209 by M-NZVI showed that the efficiency of M-NZVI in removing BDE-209 was much higher than that of NZVI. 9Simultaneous Screening of 733 Pesticide Residues in Fruits and Vegetables by a GC/LC-Q-TOFMS Combination Technique显示文摘In this paper,we report the construction of two accurate mass databases and the development of a combination detection method that simultaneously screens for 733 pesticide and chemical contaminant multi-residues via high-throughput liquid chromatography(LC)-and gas chromatography(GC)-quadru pole-time-of-flight mass spectrometry(Q-TOFMS).This work demonstrates that electronic mass spectral standards may replace chemical-source standard materials as references through one sample preparation and the combination of GC/LC-Q-TOFMS screening.This cutting-edge technique has also replaced multiresidue determination using targeted detection with non-targeted screening.The pesticide residue types,sensitivity,recovery,and reproducibility of this combination technique are evaluated in eight fruit and vegetable matrices.This technique shows three advantages:①In comparison with the discovery capability of a single technique,the combination technique shows an improvement of 51.1%(GC-QTOFMS)and 39.6%(LC-Q-TOFMS),respectively;②the combination technique can satisfy a screening limit lower than 10μg·kg^-1 and meet the requirements of“uniform standards,”although some of the pesticide residues could be optimized to further improve screening sensitivity;③over 488 pesticides with recoveries between 60%-120%and relative standard deviation(RSD)<20%at a spiked level of 10μg·kg^-1 were detected with the combination technique in eight different matrices.From 2012 to 2017,this combination technique was applied in an investigation to screen pesticide residues from 1384 sampling locations for 38138 batched samples covering 18 categories and 134 types of fruits and vegetables obtained from across the mainland of China.After statistical analysis,533 pesticides in 115891 determinations were detected,and the regularity of pesticides in the fruits and vegetables sold on the Chinese market was shown.Guofang Pang Qiaoying Chang Ruobin Bai Chunlin Fan Zijuan Zhang Hongyuan Yan Xingqiang Wu 2020Engineering2020,6,4:11
10Buried straw layer and plastic mulching increase microflora diversity in salinized soil显示文摘Salt stress has been increasingly constraining crop productivity in arid lands of the world. In our recent study, salt stress was alleviated and crop productivity was improved remarkably by straw layer burial plus plastic film mulching in a saline soil. However, its impact on the microflora diversity is not well documented. Field micro-plot experiments were conducted from 2010 to 2011 using four tillage methods:(i) deep tillage with plastic film mulching(CK),(ii) straw layer burial at 40 cm(S),(iii) straw layer burial plus surface soil mulching with straw material(S+S), and(iv) plastic film mulching plus buried straw layer(P+S). Culturable microbes and predominant bacterial communities were studied; based on 16 S r DNA, bacterial community structure and abundance were characterized using denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis(DGGE) and polymerase chain reaction(PCR). Results showed that P+S was the most favorable for culturable bacteria, actinomyces and fungi and induced the most diverse genera of bacteria compared to other tillage methods. Soil temperature had significant positive correlations with the number of bacteria, actinomyces and fungi(P<0.01). However, soil water was poorly correlated with any of the microbes. Salt content had a significant negative correlation with the number of microbers, especially for bacteria and fungi(P<0.01). DGGE analysis showed that the P+S exhibited the highest diversity of bacteria with 20 visible bands followed by S+S, S and CK. Moreover, P+S had the highest similarity(68%) of bacterial communities with CK. The major bacterial genera in all soil samples were Firmicutes, Proteobacteria and Actinobacteria. 11Whole petroleum system and ordered distribution pattern of conventional and unconventional oil and gas reservoirs显示文摘The classical source-to-trap petroleum system concept only considers the migration and accumulation of conventional oil and gas in traps driven dominantly by buoyance in a basin,although revised and improved,even some new concepts as composite petroleum system,total petroleum system,total composite petroleum system,were proposed,but they do not account for the vast unconventional oil and gas reservoirs within the system,which is not formed and distributed in traps dominantly by buoyancedriven.Therefore,the petroleum system concept is no longer adequate in dealing with all the oil and gas accumulations in a basin where significant amount of the unconventional oil and gas resources are present in addition to the conventional oil and gas accumulations.This paper looked into and analyzed the distribution characteristics of conventional and unconventional oil/gas reservoirs and their differences and correlations in petroliferous basins in China and North America,and then proposed whole petroleum system(WPS)concept,the WPS is defined as a natural system that encompasses all the conventional and unconventional oil and gas,reservoirs and resources originated from organic matter in source rocks,the geological elements and processes involving the formation,evolution,and distribution of these oil and gas,reservoirs and resources.It is found in the WPS that there are three kinds of hydrocarbons dynamic fields,three kinds of original hydrocarbons,three kinds of reservoir rocks,and the coupling of these three essential elements lead to the basic ordered distribution model of shale oil/gas reservoirs contacting or interbeded with tight oil/gas reservoirs and separated conventional oil/gas reservoirs from source rocks upward,which is expressed as“S\T-C”.Abnormal conditions lead to other three special ordered distribution models:The first is that with shale oil/gas reservoirs separated from tight oil/gas reservoirs.The second is that with two direction ordered distributions from source upward and downward.The third is with lateral distribution from source outside.Cheng-Zao Jia Xiong-Qi Pang Yan Song 2023Petroleum Science2023,20,1:10
12Neuroprotective effect of deferoxamine on erastin-induced ferroptosis in primary cortical neurons显示文摘The iron chelator deferoxamine has been shown to inhibit ferroptosis in spinal cord injury.However,it is unclear whether deferoxamine directly protects neurons from ferroptotic cell death.By comparing the survival rate and morphology of primary neurons and SH-SY5Y cells exposed to erastin,it was found that these cell types respond differentially to the duration and concentration of erastin treatment.Therefore,we studied the mechanisms of ferroptosis using primary cortical neurons from E16 mouse embryos.After treatment with 50μM erastin for 48 hours,reactive oxygen species levels increased,and the expression of the cystine/glutamate antiporter system light chain and glutathione peroxidase 4 decreased.Pretreatment with deferoxamine for 12 hours inhibited these changes,reduced cell death,and ameliorated cellular morphology.Pretreatment with the apoptosis inhibitor Z-DEVD-FMK or the necroptosis inhibitor necrostain-1 for 12 hours did not protect against erastin-induced ferroptosis.Only deferoxamine protected the primary cortical neurons from ferroptosis induced by erastin,confirming the specificity of the in vitro ferroptosis model.This study was approved by the Animal Ethics Committee at the Institute of Radiation Medicine of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences,China(approval No.DWLL-20180913)on September 13,2018.Yan Zhang Bao-You Fan Yi-Lin Pang Wen-Yuan Shen Xu Wang Chen-Xi Zhao Wen-Xiang Li Chang Liu Xiao-Hong Kong Guang-Zhi Ning Shi-Qing Feng Xue Yao 2020Neural Regeneration Research2020,15,8:9
13Clinical and genetic findings in a Chinese family with VDR-associated hereditary vitamin D-resistant rickets显示文摘Hereditary vitamin D-resistant rickets(HVDRR) is a rare autosomal recessive disorder characterized by severe rickets,hypocalcemia,hypophosphatemia,secondary hyperparathyroidism,and elevated alkaline phosphatase.This disorder is caused by homogeneous or heterogeneous mutations affecting the function of the vitamin D receptor(VDR),which lead to complete or partial target organ resistance to the action of 1,25-dihydroxy vitamin D.A non-consanguineous family of Chinese Han origin with one affected individual demonstrating HVDRR was recruited,with the proband evaluated clinically,biochemically and radiographically.To identify the presence of mutations in the VDR gene,all the exons and exon–intron junctions of the VDR gene from all family members were amplified using PCR and sequenced.The proband showed rickets,progressive alopecia,hypocalcemia,hypophosphatemia,secondary hyperparathyroidism,and elevated alkaline phosphatase.She also suffered from epilepsy,which is rarely seen in patients with HVDRR.Direct sequencing analysis revealed a homozygous missense mutation c.122G4A(p.C41Y) in the VDR gene of the proband,which is located in the first zinc finger of the DNA-binding domain.Both parents had a normal phenotype and were found to be heterozygous for this mutation.We report a Chinese Han family with one individual affected with HVDRR.A homozygous missense mutation c.122G4A(p.C41Y) in the VDR gene was found to be responsible for the patient's syndrome.In contrast to the results of treatment of HVDRR in other patients,our patient responded well to a supplement of oral calcium and a low dose of calcitriol.Qianqian Pang Xuan Qi Yan Jiang Ou Wang Mei Li Xiaoping Xing Jin Dong Weibo Xia 2016Bone Research2016,4,1:9

15Risk of Active Pulmonary Tuberculosis among Patients with Coal Workers'Pneumoconiosis:A Case-control Study in China显示文摘The aim of this study was to estimate the association between occupational, environmental, behavioral risk factors, and active pulmonary tuberculosis(PTB) among coal workers' pneumoconiosis(CWP) patients. A matched case-control study was conducted in 86 CWP patients with active PTB and 86 CWP controls without TB. A standardized questionnaire was used for risk factors assessment. Conditioned logistic regression analysis was used to identify associations between the risk factors and active PTB among CWP patients. 16Development and Preliminary Evaluation of a Double-cell Ozonesonde显示文摘Ozonesondes are widely used to obtain ozone concentration profiles from the surface to the upper atmosphere. A kind of double-cell ozonesonde has been developed at the Institute of Atmospheric Physics(IAP), Chinese Academy of Sciences(named the 'IAP ozonesonde') based on previous experience over the past 20 years of developing the singlecell GPSO3 ozonesonde. The IAP ozonesonde is of the Electrochemical Concentration Cell(ECC) type. A detailed description of the IAP ozonesonde is firstly provided in the present paper, followed by a presentation of results from a series of launches carried out to evaluate its performance. The analysis involved comparing its observations with measurements from the GPSO3 and ECC ozonesondes(Model type ENSCI-Z) as well as a Brewer spectrophotometer. The results showed that the IAP ozonesonde is a vast improvement over the GPSO3 ozonesonde, able to capture vertical ozone structures very well and in good agreement with ECC ozonesonde measurements. The average difference in the ozone partial pressure between the IAP and ECC ozonesondes was 0.3 mPa from the surface to 2.5 km, close to zero from 2.5 to 9 km and generally less than 1 mPa for layers higher than 9 km. The apparent deviation is likely caused by a decreasing pump flow rate in the IAP ozonesonde which needs further improvement. The total ozone amounts measured by the IAP ozonesonde profiles were highly comparable with the Brewer data with a relative difference of 6%. 17A Quantitative Evaluation of Shale Gas Content in Different Occurrence States of the Longmaxi Formation: A New Insight from Well JY-A in the Fuling Shale Gas Field,Sichuan Basin显示文摘Comprehensive quantitative evaluation of shale gas content and the controlling factors in different occurrence states is of great significance for accurately assessing gas-bearing capacity and providing effective well-production strategies. A total of 122 core samples from well JY-A in the Fuling shale gas field were studied to reveal the characteristics of S_1 l shale,15 of which were selected to further predict the shale gas content in different occurrence states, which are dependent on geological factors in the thermal evolution process. Geological parameters were researched by a number of laboratory programs, and the factors influential in controlling shale gas content were extracted by both PCA and GRA methods and prediction models were confirmed by the BE method using SPSS software. Results reveal that the adsorbed gas content is mainly controlled by TOC, Ro, SSA, PD and pyrite content, and the free gas content is mainly controlled by S_2, quartz content, gas saturation and formation pressure for S_1 l in well JY-A. Three methods, including the on-site gas desorption method, the empirical formula method, and the multiple regression analysis method were used in combination to evaluate the shale gas capacity of well JY-A, all of which show that the overall shale gas content of well JY-A is in the range of 2.0–5.0 m^3/t and that the free gas ratio is about 50%, lower than that of well JY-1. 18Luteolin alleviates cognitive impairment in Alzheimer’s disease mouse model via inhibiting endoplasmic reticulum stress-dependent neuroinflammation显示文摘Luteolin is a flavonoid in a variety of fruits,vegetables,and herbs,which has shown anti-inflammatory,antioxidant,and anti-cancer neuroprotective activities.In this study,we investigated the potential beneficial effects of luteolin on memory deficits and neuroinflammation in a triple-transgenic mouse model of Alzheimer’s disease(AD)(3×Tg-AD).The mice were treated with luteolin(20,40 mg·kg−1·d−1,ip)for 3 weeks.We showed that luteolin treatment dose-dependently improved spatial learning,ameliorated memory deficits in 3×Tg-AD mice,accompanied by inhibiting astrocyte overactivation(GFAP)and neuroinflammation(TNF-α,IL-1β,IL-6,NO,COX-2,and iNOS protein),and decreasing the expression of endoplasmic reticulum(ER)stress markers GRP78 and IRE1αin brain tissues.In rat C6 glioma cells,treatment with luteolin(1,10µM)dose-dependently inhibited LPS-induced cell proliferation,excessive release of inflammatory cytokines,and increase of ER stress marker GRP78.In conclusion,luteolin is an effective agent in the treatment of learning and memory deficits in 3×Tg-AD mice,which may be attributable to the inhibition of ER stress in astrocytes and subsequent neuroinflammation.These results provide the experimental basis for further research and development of luteolin as a therapeutic agent for AD.Jie-jian Kou Jun-zhuo Shi Yang-yang He Jiao-jiao Hao Hai-yu Zhang Dong-mei Luo Jun-ke Song Yi Yan Xin-mei Xie Guan-hua Du Xiao-bin Pang 2022Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2022,43,4:6

20Prevalence and Risk Factors of Primary Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis in China显示文摘Objective To investigate the prevalence of primary drug-resistant tuberculosis(TB)and associated risk factors in China.We also explored factors contributing to the transmission of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis(MDR-TB).Methods A total of 2794 representative,Mycobacterium tuberculosis isolates from treatment-naive patients were subjected to drug susceptibility testing,and risk factors for drug-resistant TB were analyzed.We also analyzed MDR-TB strain sublineages,drug-resistance-conferring mutations,and risk factors associated with clustered primary MDR strains.Results Among 2794 Mycobacterium tuberculosis isolates from treatment-naive patients,the prevalence of any resistance to first-line drugs was 33.2%and the prevalence of MDR-TB was 5.7%.We did not find any risk factors significantly associated with resistance to first-line drugs.The 93 primary MDR-TB isolates were classified into six sublineages,of which,75(80.6%)isolates were the RD105-deleted Beijing lineage.The largest sublineage included 65(69.9%)isolates with concurrent deletions of RD105,RD207,and RD181.Twenty-nine(31.2%)primary MDR strains grouped in clusters;MDR isolates in clusters were more likely to have S531L rpoB mutation.Conclusion This study indicates that primary drug-resistant TB and MDR-TB strains are prevalent in China,and multiple measures should be taken to address drug-resistant TB.WANG Sheng Fen ZHOU Yang PANG Yu ZHENG Hui Wen ZHAO Yan Lin 2016Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2016,29,2:6
