| 4 | Facile Synthesis and Application of Ag-Chemically Converted Graphene Nanocomposite显示文摘An in situ chemical synthesis approach has been employed to prepare an Ag-chemically converted graphene (CCG) nanocomposite. The reduction of graphene oxide sheets was accompanied by generation of Ag nanoparticles. The structure and composition of the nanocomposites were confirmed by means of transmission electron microscopy (TEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM) and X-ray diffraction. TEM and AFM results suggest a homogeneous distribution of Ag nanoparticles (5-10 nm in size) on CCG sheets. The intensities of the Raman signals of CCG in such nanocomposites are greatly increased by the attached silver nanoparticles, i.e., there is surface-enhanced Raman scattering activity. | 5 | A reversed CD4/CD8 ratio of tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes and a high percentage of CD4^(+)FOXP3^(+) regulatory T cells are significantly associated with clinical outcome in squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix显示文摘In this study,40 biopsy samples collected from cervical cancer patients at the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University,China,were retrospectively assessed using immunohistochemistry for CD4^(+) and CD8^(+) tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes(TILs)and were analyzed for the expression of FOXP3,OX40,granzyme B(GrB)and perforin(Prf).The proliferating index of the TILs was determined by assessing Ki67 expression.We determined the prognostic value of low and high numbers of TILs on survival by performing Kaplan–Meier analysis using median values as the cut-off points.Except for the number of CD4^(+)FOXP3^(+) regulatory T cells(Tregs)and the CD4/CD8 ratio,none of the CD4^(+),CD8^(+),OX401,GrB^(+) or Prf^(+) TILs were associated with the overall 5-year survival rate.The 5-year survival rate was significantly lower in patients who had a high percentage of Tregs as compared with the those who had a lower percentage(35.3%versus 88.9%,P50.001),while the 5-year survival rate was significantly higher in patients with a high CD4/CD8 ratio as compared with patients who had a low CD4/CD8 ratio(82.4%versus 44.4%,P50.029).When we considered the deaths and surviving cases as separate groups,we found that both the number of CD4^(+) T cells and the CD4/CD8 ratio were significantly lower in patients who died as compared with those who survived(26.33±11.80 versus 47.79±38.18,P=0.023 and 0.60±0.25 versus 1.17±1.02,P=0.019,respectively).In conclusion,decreased proportions of tumor-infiltrating CD4^(+) T cells with high percentages of Tregs and reversed CD4/CD8 ratios were significantly associated with the clinical outcome of patients with cervical carcinoma. | Walayat Shah Xiaofei Yan Li Jing Yi Zhou Hongwei Chen Yili Wang | 2011 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2011,8,1: | 24 |

To design novel configuration of PDTS, a two-step topology structure synthesis and analysis approach is proposed. Firstly, a conceptual configuration of PDTS is synthesized. Weighted graph and weighted adjacency matrix are established to realize topological description for PDTS. Graph properties are then summarized to distinguish differentia between PDTS and other type structures. According to graph properties, a procedure for synthesis conceptual configuration of PDTS is presented. Secondly, join relationship of components in a PDTS is analyzed. Kinematic chain and corresponding incidence/adjacency matrix are employed to analyze join relationship of PDTS. Properties and simplified rules of kinematic chain are extracted to construct kinematic chain. A procedure for construction kinematic chain of PDTS is then established. Finally, with this two-step approach all 11 rectangular pyramid deployable structures whose folded state is planar are discovered and their kinematic chains are constructed. Based on synthesis results, a novel deployable support structure for satellite SAR is designed. | 11 | QTG-Seq Accelerates QTL Fine Mapping through QTL Partitioning and Whole-Genome Sequencing of Bulked Segregant Samples显示文摘Deciphering the genetic mechanisms underlying agronomic traits is of great importance for crop improvement. Most of these traits are controlled by multiple quantitative trait loci (QTLs), and identifying the underlying genes by conventional QTL fine-mapping is time-consuming and labor-intensive. Here, we devised a new method, named quantitative trait gene sequencing (QTG-seq), to accelerate QTL fine-mapping. QTGseq combines QTL partitioning to convert a quantitative trait into a near-qualitative trait, sequencing of bulked segregant pools from a large segregating population, and the use of a robust new algorithm for identifying candidate genes. Using QTG-seq, we fine-mapped a plant-height QTL in maize (Zea mays L.), qPH7, to a 300-kb genomic interval and verified that a gene encoding an NF-YC transcription factor was the functional gene. Functional analysis suggested that qPH7-encoding protein might influence plant height by interacting with a CO-like protein and an AP2 domain-containing protein. Selection footprint ana卜 ysis indicated that qPH7 was subject to strong selection during maize improvement. | 12 | Formability of AA 2219-O sheet under quasi-static,electromagnetic dynamic,and mechanical dynamic tensile loadings显示文摘The mechanism by which electromagnetic forming(EMF)enhances the formability of metals is unclear owing to the coupling effect of multi-physics fields.In the present work,the associated formability improvement mechanisms were qualitatively categorized and illustrated.This was realized by comparing the formability of fully annealed 2219 aluminum alloy(AA 2219-O)sheet under quasi-static(QS),electromagnetic dynamic(EM),and mechanical dynamic(MD)tensile loadings.It was found that the forming limit of AA 2219-O sheet under EM tensile loading was significantly(45.4%)higher than that under QS tensile loading,and was marginally(3.7%–4.3%)higher than that under MD tensile loading.In addition,the forming limit of AA 2219-O sheet demonstrated a negative dependency on the strain rate within the range of the dynamic tensile tests conducted.The deformation conditions common to EM and MD tensile loadings were responsible for the significant formability improvement compared with QS tensile loading.In particular,the inertial effect was dominant.The different deformation conditions that distinguish EM tensile loading from MD tensile loading resulted in the marginal improvement in formability.This was caused by the absence of a sustaining contact force at the later deformation stage and the lower strain rate.The body force exerted little influence on the formability improvement,and the thermal effect under the two dynamic tensile loadings was negligible. | Hongliang Su Liang Huang Jianjun Li Wang Xiao Hui Zhu Fei Feng Hongwei Li Siliang Yan | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,11: | 13 |

| 15 | Insight-HXMT observations of the first binary neutron star merger GW170817显示文摘Finding the electromagnetic(EM) counterpart of binary compact star merger, especially the binary neutron star(BNS) merger,is critically important for gravitational wave(GW) astronomy, cosmology and fundamental physics. On Aug. 17, 2017,Advanced LIGO and Fermi/GBM independently triggered the first BNS merger, GW170817, and its high energy EM counterpart,GRB 170817 A, respectively, resulting in a global observation campaign covering gamma-ray, X-ray, UV, optical, IR, radio as well as neutrinos. The High Energy X-ray telescope(HE) onboard Insight-HXMT(Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope) is the unique high-energy gamma-ray telescope that monitored the entire GW localization area and especially the optical counterpart(SSS17 a/AT2017 gfo) with very large collection area(~1000 cm^2) and microsecond time resolution in 0.2-5 MeV. In addition,Insight-HXMT quickly implemented a Target of Opportunity(ToO) observation to scan the GW localization area for potential X-ray emission from the GW source. Although Insight-HXMT did not detect any significant high energy(0.2-5 MeV) radiation from GW170817, its observation helped to confirm the unexpected weak and soft nature of GRB 170817 A. Meanwhile,Insight-HXMT/HE provides one of the most stringent constraints(~10^(-7) to 10^(-6) erg/cm^2/s) for both GRB170817 A and any other possible precursor or extended emissions in 0.2-5 MeV, which help us to better understand the properties of EM radiation from this BNS merger. | 16 | Classification and regionalization of the forming environment of windblown sand disasters along the Tarim Desert Highway显示文摘Through the systematic field survey and observations, the factor quantification as well as setting the criteria, the sand disaster-forming environment along the Tarim Desert Highway can be divided into four grades by the classification and regionalization based on fuzzy mathematics. The length of the regions with significant sand disaster accounted for 37.1% of the total highway length. Particularly, the area along the Tarim Desert Highway, based on the sand disaster-forming environment classification as well as the difference in the five basic landform units along the highway, combined with the difference of wind regime, can be divided into five regions, in which the length of the regions suffering severe sand damage occupied 64.3% of the total highway length. | 17 | Effects of natural covers on soil evaporation of the shelterbelt along the Tarim Desert Highway显示文摘The control of soil evaporation is one of important approaches to save water. The artificially simulated evaporation experiments have been conducted in the hinterland of the Taklimakan Desert to reveal the effects of the natural covers on the soil evaporation of the Tarim Desert Highway shelterbelt as well as provide some insights in the efficient utilization of water resources and optimization of irrigation systems. The results showed that (1) All the covers, including the sand deposit, the salt crust, the litter, the sand-litter mixed layer and so on, can significantly inhibit the soil water evaporation. Specifically, the daily evaporation, the total evaporation, and the evaporation rate in covered sands were much smaller than that of sands without cover. The cover inhibition effects increased with the cover thickness. Particularly, the soil evaporation of the covered sands was less affected by external and internal factors than that of the bare sands. Moreover, the variation of daily evaporation of covered sands was smaller than that of bare sands. The cumulative evaporation varied linearly with time in the covered sands whereas it varied logarithmically in the bare sands. In addition, the soil evaporation in the bare sands showed significantly different characteristics in the early and late stages of the evaporation. (2) All the covers exhibited the significant inhibiting effect on the soil evaporation, and the inhibition efficiency increased logarithmically with the cover thickness. However, as the cover thickness was above a certain value, the increase in the inhibition efficiency was slow. Particularly, at a cover thickness of 2 cm, there was no obvious difference in the inhibition efficiency among all kinds of covers. | 20 | Mathematical Model and Experiment Validation of Fluid Torque by Shear Stress under Influence of Fluid Temperature in Hydro-viscous Clutch显示文摘The current design of hydro-viscous clutch(HVC)in tracked vehicle fan transmission mainly focuses on high-speed and high power.However,the fluid torque under the influence of fluid temperature can not be predicted accurately by conventional mathematical model or experimental research.In order to validate the fluid torque of HVC by taking the viscosity-temperature characteristic of fluid into account,the test rig is designed.The outlet oil temperature is measured and fitted with different rotation speed,oil film thickness,oil flow rate,and inlet oil temperature.Meanwhile,the film torque can be obtained.Based on Navier-Stokes equations and the continuity equation,the mathematical model of fluid torque is proposed in cylindrical coordinate.Iterative method is employed to solve the equations.The radial and tangential speed distribution,radial pressure distribution and theoretical flow rate are determined and analyzed.The models of equivalent radius and fluid torque of friction pairs are introduced.The experimental and theoretical results indicate that tangential speed distribution is mainly determined by the relative rotating speed between the friction plate and the separator disc.However,the radial speed distribution and pressure distribution are dominated by pressure difference at the lower rotating speed.The oil film fills the clearance and the film torque increases with increasing rotating speed.However,when the speed reaches a certain value,the centrifugal force will play an important role on the fluid distribution.The pressure is negative at the outer radius when inlet flow rate is less than theoretical flow,so the film starts to shrink which decreases the film torque sharply.The theoretical fluid torque has good agreement with the experimental data.This research proposes a new fluid torque mathematical model which may predict the film torque under the influence of temperature more accurately. | CUI Hongwei YAO Shouwen YAN Qingdong FENG Shanshan LIU Qian | 2014 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2014,27,1: | 6 |
