1Surveying of the deformed terraces and crust shortening rate in the northwestern Tarim Basin显示文摘Relief surveying and chronology study were carried out on the deformed river terraces across the Artushi anticline belt in the northwestern Tarim Basin. The crust shortening rate of this anticline belt since late Pleistocene was calculated to be up to 5-6 mm/a. 2In situ optical backpropagation training of diffractive optical neural networks显示文摘Training an artificial neural network with backpropagation algorithms to perform advanced machine learning tasks requires an extensive computational process.This paper proposes to implement the backpropagation algorithm optically for in situ training of both linear and nonlinear diffractive optical neural networlks,which enables the acceleration of training speed and improvement in energy efficiency on core computing modules.We demonstrate that the gradient of a loss function with respect to the weights of diffractive layers can be accurately calculated by measuring the forward and backward propagated optical fields based on light reciprocity and phase conjunction principles.The diffractive modulation weights are updated by programming a high-speed spatial light modulator to minimize the error between prediction and target output and perform inference tasks at the speed of light.We numerically validate the effectiveness of our approach on simulated networks for various applications.The proposed in situ optical learning architecture achieves accuracy comparable to in silico training with an electronic computer on the tasks of object dlassification and matrix-vector multiplication,which further allows the diffractive optical neural network to adapt to system imperfections.Also,the self-adaptive property of our approach facilitates the novel application of the network for all-optical imaging through scattering media.The proposed approach paves the way for robust implementation of large-scale difractive neural networks to perform distinctive tasks all-optically.TIANKUANG ZHOU LU FANG TAO YAN JIAMIN WU YIPENG LI JINGTAO FAN HUAQIANG WU XING LIN QIONGHAI DA 2020Photonics Research2020,8,6:11
3Characteristics of the Late Quaternary right-lateral strike-slip movement of Bolokenu-Aqikekuduk fault in northern Tianshan Mountains,NW China显示文摘The characteristics of the Bolokenu-Aqikekuduk(Bo-A) fault,a right-lateral strike-slip fault that runs for more than 700 km long and obliquely cuts North Tianshan Mountains,are evaluated here based on remote sensing data,and through an analysis of the results from field investigations as well as climate-geomorphic events. The fault is composed of a western segment with a NW strike and an eastern segment with a NWW strike.The western segment is nearly 250 km long,extending northwestward into Kazakhstan with a right-lateral strike-slip rate of 5 mm/a.This domain consists of 4-5 rupture sections,with 3-4 deformation belts,caused by ancient or historical earthquakes,and suggesting the potential for the occurrence of further strong earthquakes(with M≈7.5) in future. The eastern segment of the fault shows a right-lateral strike-slip rate of 1-1.4 mm/a,with the development of 3-4 deformation belts caused by ancient or historical earthquakes,and with a potential for future strong earthquake with M≈7.0. 4Evaluation of multi-cycle performance of chemical looping dry reforming using CO_2 as an oxidant with Fe–Ni bimetallic oxides显示文摘Chemical looping dry reforming(CLDR) is an innovative technology for CO_2 utilization using the chemical looping principle.The CLDR process consists of three stages,i.e.CH4 reduction,CO_2 reforming,and air oxidation.Spinel nickel ferrite(NiFe_2O_4) was prepared and its multi-cycle performance as an oxygen carrier for CLDR was experimentally investigated.X-ray diffraction(XRD) and Laser Raman spectroscopy showed that a pure spinel crystalline phase(NiFe_2O_4) was obtained by a parallel flow co-precipitating method.NiFe_2O_4was reduced into Fe-Ni alloy and wustite(Fe_xO) during the CH_4 reduction process.Subsequent oxidation of the reduced oxygen carrier was performed with CO_2 as an oxidant to form an intermediate state:a mixture of spinel Ni_(1-x)Fe_(2+x)O_4,Fe_(2+y)O_4 and metallic Ni.And CO was generated in parallel during this stage.Approximate 185 mL of CO was generated for 1 g spinel NiFe_2O_4 in a single cycle.The intermediate oxygen carrier was fully oxidized in the air oxidation stage to form a mixture of Ni_(1+x)Fe_(2-x)O_4 and Fe_2O_3.Although the original state of oxygen carrier(NiFe_2O_4) was not fully regenerated and agglomeration was observed,a good recyclability was shown in 10 successive redox cycles.Zhen Huang Huanqi Jiang Fang He Dezhen Chen Guoqiang Wei Kun Zhao Anqing Zheng Yipeng Feng Zengli Zhao Haibin Li 2016Journal of Energy Chemistry2016,25,1:4
5A Cloud Detection Scheme for the Chinese Carbon Dioxide Observation Satellite(TANSAT)显示文摘Cloud detection is an essential preprocessing step for retrieving carbon dioxide from satellite observations of reflected sunlight.During the pre-launch study of the Chinese Carbon Dioxide Observation Satellite(TANSAT),a cloud-screening scheme was presented for the Cloud and Aerosol Polarization Imager(CAPI),which only performs measurements in five channels located in the visible to near-infrared regions of the spectrum.The scheme for CAPI,based on previous cloudscreening algorithms,defines a method to regroup individual threshold tests for each pixel in a scene according to the derived clear confidence level.This scheme is proven to be more effective for sensors with few channels.The work relies upon the radiance data from the Visible and Infrared Radiometer(VIRR)onboard the Chinese Feng Yun-3A Polar-orbiting Meteorological Satellite(FY-3A),which uses four wavebands similar to that of CAPI and can serve as a proxy for its measurements.The scheme has been applied to a number of the VIRR scenes over four target areas(desert,snow,ocean,forest)for all seasons.To assess the screening results,comparisons against the cloud-screening product from MODIS are made.The evaluation suggests that the proposed scheme inherits the advantages of schemes described in previous publications and shows improved cloud-screening results.A seasonal analysis reveals that this scheme provides better performance during warmer seasons,except for observations over oceans,where results are much better in colder seasons.Xi WANG Zheng GUO Yipeng HUANG Hongjie FAN Wanbiao LI 2017Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2017,34,1:4
6Corrosion Behaviors of Nitride Coatings on Titanium Alloy in NaCl-Induced Hot Corrosion显示文摘TiN and TiAlN coatings were deposited by arc ion plating on titanium alloys to study their hot corrosion resistance when they were exposed to NaCl at 600℃.The microstructure and corrosion behaviors of nitride coatings were studied using scanning electron microscope,X-ray diffraction,electro-probe microanalyzer and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.The results showed that nitride coatings with the different compositions and the ones with the same composition but different thicknesses presented different hot corrosion resistance.TiN and thin TiAlN coatings showed poor corrosion resistance.Serious internal oxidation attacked the alloy substrate.Their corrosion products were mainly consisted of non-protective TiO2 and sodium salt.By contrast,the thick TiAlN coating presented outstanding corrosion resistance.Besides sodium salt,the corrosion products were composed of protective Al_(2)O_(3).The increasing thickness of TiAlN significantly enhanced the hot corrosion resistance.The corrosion mechanisms of alloy,TiN and TiAlN coatings were discussed in detail.Mingming Zhang Yipeng Feng Yahui Wang Yunsong Niu Li Xin Yongfeng Li Jianxiu Su Shenglong Zhu Fuhui Wang 2021Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2021,34,10:3
7SRSF1 plays a critical role in invariant natural killer T cell development and function显示文摘Invariant natural killer T(iNKT)cells are highly conserved innate-like T lymphocytes that originate from CD4^(+)CD8^(+)double-positive(DP)thymocytes.Here,we report that serine/arginine splicing factor 1(SRSF1)intrinsically regulates iNKT cell development by directly targeting Myb and balancing the abundance of short and long isoforms.Conditional ablation of SRSF1 in DP cells led to a substantially diminished iNKT cell pool due to defects in proliferation,survival,and TCRαrearrangement.The transition from stage 0 to stage 1 of iNKT cells was substantially blocked,and the iNKT2 subset was notably diminished in SRSF1-deficient mice.SRSF1 deficiency resulted in aberrant expression of a series of regulators that are tightly correlated with iNKT cell development and iNKT2 differentiation,including Myb,PLZF,Gata3,ICOS,and CD5.In particular,we found that SRSF1 directly binds and regulates pre-mRNA alternative splicing of Myb and that the expression of the short isoform of Myb is substantially reduced in SRSF1-deficient DP and iNKT cells.Strikingly,ectopic expression of the Myb short isoform partially rectified the defects caused by ablation of SRSF1.Furthermore,we confirmed that the SRSF1-deficient mice exhibited resistance to acute liver injury uponα-GalCer and Con A induction.Our findings thus uncovered a previously unknown role of SRSF1 as an essential post-transcriptional regulator in iNKT cell development and functional differentiation,providing new clinical insights into iNKT-correlated disease.Jingjing Liu Menghao You Yingpeng Yao Ce Ji Zhao Wang Fang Wang Di Wang Zhihong Qi Guotao Yu Zhen Sun Wenhui Guo Juanjuan Liu Shumin Li Yipeng Jin Tianyan Zhao Hai-Hui Xue Yuanchao Xue Shuyang Yu 2021Cellular & Molecular Immunology2021,18,11:3
8Effect of inhomogeneous broadening on threshold current of GaN-based green laser diodes显示文摘The inhomogeneous broadening parameter and the internal loss of green LDs are determined by experiments and theoretical fitting. It is found that the inhomogeneous broadening plays an important role on the threshold current density of green LDs. The green LD with large inhomogeneous broadening even cannot lase. 9Effect of Carbonation and Drying-Wetting Cycles on Chloride Diffusion Behavior of Coral Aggregate Seawater Concrete显示文摘Based on seawater immersion,drying-wetting cycles,carbonation and drying-wetting cycles for coral aggregate sea-water concrete(CASC)with different strength grades,the effect of carbonation and drying-wetting cycles on chloride diffusion be-havior of CASC is studied.The results show that the free surface chloride concentration(Cs),free chloride diffusion coefficient(Df)and time-dependent index(m)of CASC in the drying-wetting cycles is obviously higher than that in seawater immersion.The Df and m of CASC of carbonation and drying-wetting cycles is higher than that in the drying-wetting cycles.Carbonation increases the Df and m of CASC,which is against CASC to resist chloride corrosion.The corrosion possibility of CASC structures in different ex-posed areas is as follows:splash zone(carbonation and drying-wetting cycles)>tidal zone(drying-wetting cycles)>underwater zone(seawater immersion).Besides,the chloride diffusion rate of C65-CASC is 17.8%-63.4%higher than that of C65-ordinary aggre-gate concrete(OAC)in seawater immersion(underwater zone).Therefore,anti-corrosion measures should be adopted to improve the service life of CASC structure in the oceanic environment.DA Bo LI Yipeng YU Hongfa MA Haiyan CHEN Haoyu DOU Xuemei WU Zhangyu 2022Journal of Ocean University of China2022,21,1:2

11Influence of coronary bifurcation angle on atherosclerosis显示文摘Hemodynamics plays a crucial role in the development and progression of coronary atherosclerosis,which is prone to occur in branch bifurcation.A n individual aortic-coronary artery model and three changed bifurcation angle models are constructed by Mimics and Freeform based on computed tomography angiography.The influence of different coronary bifurcation angles between left main(LM),left anterior descending(LAD),and left circumflex(LCX)on the blood flow field and related hemodynamic parameters are studied.It is shown that a wider bifurcation angle between LAD and LCX can cause a wider low-wall shear stress area,leading to atherosclerosis.Similarly,a decreased angle between LM and LAD is predisposed to prevent atherosclerosis.The results help to better understand the hemodynamic causes of atherosclerosis with various bifurcation angles in coronary arteries and to provide guidance for clinical assessment and prevention.Zhaomiao Liu Shengwei Zhao Yunjie Li Feng Shen Yipeng Qi Qi Wang 2019Acta Mechanica Sinica2019,35,6:2
12Fecal microbiota transplantation from young donor mice improves ovarian function in aged mice显示文摘Advanced maternal age is characterized by declines in the quantity and quality of oocytes in the ovaries,and the aging process is accompanied by changes in gut microbiota composition.However,little is known about the relationship between gut microbiota and ovarian aging.By using fecal microbiota transplantation(FMT)to transplant material from young(5-week-old)into aged(42-week-old)mice,we find that the composition of gut microbiota in FMT-treated mice presents a“younger-like phenotype”and an increase of commensal bacteria,such as Bifidobacterium and Ruminococcaceae.Moreover,the FMT-treated mice show increased anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-4 and decreased pro-inflammatory cytokine IFN-γ.Fertility tests for assessing ovarian function reveal that the first litter size of female FMT-treated mice is significantly higher than that of the non-FMT group.Morphology analysis demonstrates a dramatic decrease in follicle atresia and apoptosis as well as an increase in cellular proliferation in the ovaries of the FMT-treated mice.Our results also show that FMT improves the immune microenvironment in aged ovaries,with decreased macrophages and macrophage-derived multinucleated giant cells(MNGCs).These results suggest that FMT from young donors could be a good choice for delaying ovarian aging.Li Xu Qiankun Zhang Xiaowei Dou Yipeng Wang Jianwei Wang Yong Zhou Xingyin Liu Jing Li 2022Journal of Genetics and Genomics2022,49,11:2
13Noise level estimation method with application to EMD-based signal denoising显示文摘This paper proposes a new signal noise level estimation approach by local regions. The estimated noise variance is applied as the threshold for an improved empirical mode decomposition(EMD) based signal denoising method. The proposed estimation method can effectively extract the candidate regions for the noise level estimation by measuring the correlation coefficient between noisy signal and a Gaussian filtered signal. For the improved EMD based method, the situation of decomposed intrinsic mode function(IMFs) which contains noise and signal simultaneously are taken into account. 14Effect of carboxylic acid groups on the supercapacitive performance of functional carbon frameworks derived from bacterial cellulose显示文摘Three-dimensional(3D) carbonaceous materials derived from bacterial cellulose(BC) has been introduced as electrode for supercapacitors in recent. Here, we report a simple strategy for the synthesis of functional carbon frameworks through 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpilperidine 1-oxyl radical(TEMPO)-mediated oxidation of bacterial cellulose(BC) followed by carbonization. TEMPO-mediated oxidation can efficiently convert the hydroxyls on the surface of BC to carboxylate groups to improve electrochemical activity. Because of its high porosity, good hydrophilicity, rich oxygen groups, and continuous ion transport in-between sheet-like porous network, the TEMPO-oxidized BC delivers a much higher gravimetric capacitance(137.3 F/g) at low annealing temperature of 500℃ than that of pyrolysis BC(31 F/g) at the same annealing temperature. 17In-situ TEM observation of the evolution of helium bubbles & dislocation loops and their interaction in Pd during He^(+) irradiation显示文摘The microstructural evolution of purity Pd under 30 keV He^(+)irradiation at 573 K was investigated by in-situ transmission electron microscopy.The nucleation,growth,merging,annihilation,size change,number density variation,and types of dislocation loops were analyzed under the influence of irradiation fluence and sample thickness.Both perfect dislocation loops with b=1/2<110>and faulted dislocation loops with b=1/3<111>were formed.However,at low irradiation fluence,most of the loops were 1/3<111>loops.The thickness of TEM foil obviously affected the ratio of 1/3<111>loop variants,the size and number density of dislocation loops,and the characteristics of bubble-loop complexes.With the increase of irradiation fluence,the size of dislocation loops increased,but loop volume number density remained almost constant until dislocation loops merged and evolved into dislocation network.There was an obvious interaction between dislocation loops and bubbles,indicating that 1/3<111>loop was first formed at the initial stage of irradiation,and when the loop grew to a certain size,obvious helium bubbles appeared inside its region.Qing Han Yipeng Li Guang Ran Xinyi Liu Lu Wu Yang Chen Piheng Chen Xiaoqiu Ye Yifan Ding Xiaoyong Wu 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,28:1
