2Constrained large-eddy simulation and detached eddy simulation of flow past a commercial aircraft at 14 degrees angle of attack显示文摘With the development of computational power and numerical algorithms,computational fluid dynamics(CFD) has become an important strategy for the design of aircraft,which significantly reduces the reliance on wind-tunnel and flight tests.In this paper,we conducted a numerical investigation on the flow past a full commercial aircraft at Mach number 0.2 and 14 degrees angle of attack by means of Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes(RANS),detached-eddy simulation(DES) and our newly developed constrained large-eddy simulation(CLES).The objective of this paper is to study the capability of these models in simulating turbulent flows.To our knowledge,this is the first large-eddy simulation method for full commercial aircraft simulation.The results show that the CLES can predict the mean statistical quantities well,qualitatively consistent with traditional methods,and can capture more small-scale structures near the surface of the aircraft with massive separations.Our study demonstrates that CLES is a promising alternative for simulating real engineering turbulent flows.CHEN ShiYi CHEN YingChun XIA ZhenHua QU Kun SHI YiPeng XIAO ZuoLi LIU QiuHong CAI QingDong LIU Feng LEE Cunbiao ZHANG RiKui CAI JinSheng 2013Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2013,56,2:14

4Surveying of the deformed terraces and crust shortening rate in the northwestern Tarim Basin显示文摘Relief surveying and chronology study were carried out on the deformed river terraces across the Artushi anticline belt in the northwestern Tarim Basin. The crust shortening rate of this anticline belt since late Pleistocene was calculated to be up to 5-6 mm/a. 5In situ optical backpropagation training of diffractive optical neural networks显示文摘Training an artificial neural network with backpropagation algorithms to perform advanced machine learning tasks requires an extensive computational process.This paper proposes to implement the backpropagation algorithm optically for in situ training of both linear and nonlinear diffractive optical neural networlks,which enables the acceleration of training speed and improvement in energy efficiency on core computing modules.We demonstrate that the gradient of a loss function with respect to the weights of diffractive layers can be accurately calculated by measuring the forward and backward propagated optical fields based on light reciprocity and phase conjunction principles.The diffractive modulation weights are updated by programming a high-speed spatial light modulator to minimize the error between prediction and target output and perform inference tasks at the speed of light.We numerically validate the effectiveness of our approach on simulated networks for various applications.The proposed in situ optical learning architecture achieves accuracy comparable to in silico training with an electronic computer on the tasks of object dlassification and matrix-vector multiplication,which further allows the diffractive optical neural network to adapt to system imperfections.Also,the self-adaptive property of our approach facilitates the novel application of the network for all-optical imaging through scattering media.The proposed approach paves the way for robust implementation of large-scale difractive neural networks to perform distinctive tasks all-optically.TIANKUANG ZHOU LU FANG TAO YAN JIAMIN WU YIPENG LI JINGTAO FAN HUAQIANG WU XING LIN QIONGHAI DA 2020Photonics Research2020,8,6:11

8The effect of cdk-5 overexpression on tau phosphorylation and spatial memory of rat显示文摘In Alzheimer抯 disease (AD), hyperphosphorylation of tau may be the underlying mechanism for the cytoskeletal abnormalities and neuronal death. It was reported that cy-clin-dependent kinase5 (cdk-5) could phosphorylate tau at most AD-related epitopes in vitro. In this study, we investigated the effect of cdk-5 overexpression on tau phosphorylation and spatial memory in rat. We demonstrated that 24 h after transfection into rat hippocampus, cdk-5 was overexpressed and induced a reduced staining with antibody tau-1 and an enhanced staining with antibodies 12e8 and PHF-1, suggesting hyperphosphorylation of tau at Ser199/202, Ser262/356 and Ser396/404 sites. Additionally, the cdk-5 transfected rats showed long latency to find the hidden platform in Morris water maze compared to the control rat. 48 h after transfection, the level of cdk-5 was decreased significantly, and the latency of rats to find the hidden platform was prolonged. 9Experimental study on vibration suppression of gear shaft misalignment with ISFD显示文摘Misalignment faults in gear systems lead to violent vibration and noise, shortening the life of equipment. The aim of this work is the demonstration of vibration suppression of parallel-misaligned gear shafts using an integral squeeze film damper(ISFD). Using a first grade spur gear in engineering for reference, an open first-grade spur gear system is built and the vibration characteristics of the gear system with rigid supports and ISFD elastic damping supports are studied under different degrees of misalignment. The experimental results show that ISFD supports have excellent damping and vibration attenuation characteristics, which have improved control of the gear system vibration in horizontal, vertical and axial directions under different degrees of misalignment. This work shows that an ISFD structure can effectively suppress vibration of characteristic frequency components and resonance modulation frequency components. 10Meaningful comparison of photocatalytic properties of {001} and {101} faceted anatase TiO2 nanocrystals显示文摘The facet-dependent photocatalytic performance of TiO_2 nanocrystals has been extensively investigated due to their promising applications in renewable energy and environmental fields. However, the intrinsic distinction in the photocatalytic oxidation activities between the {001}and {101} facets of anatase TiO_2 nanocrystals is still unclear and under debate. In this work, a simple photoelectrochemical method was employed to meaningfully quantify the intrinsic photocatalytic activities of {001} and{101} faceted TiO_2 nanocrystal photoanodes. The effective surface areas of photoanodes with different facets were measured based on the monolayer adsorption of phthalic acid on TiO_2 photoanode surface by an ex situ photoelectrochemical method, which were used to normalize the photocurrents obtained from different faceted photoanodes for meaningful comparison of their photocatalytic activities. The results demonstrated that the {001} facets of anatase TiO_2 nanocrystals exhibited much better photocatalytic activity than that of {101} facets of anatase TiO_2 nanocrystals toward photocatalytic oxidation of water and organic compounds with different functional groups(e.g.,–OH, –CHO, –COOH). Furthermore, the instantaneous kinetic constants of photocatalytic oxidation of pre-adsorbates on {001} faceted anatase TiO_2 photoanode are obviously greater than those obtained at {101} faceted anatase TiO_2 photoanode, further verifying the higher photocatalytic activity of {001} facets of anatase TiO_2.This work provided a facile photoelectrochemical method to quantitatively determine the photocatalytic oxidation activity of specific exposed crystal facets of a photocatalyst, which would be helpful to uncover and meaningfully compare the intrinsic photocatalytic activities of different exposed crystal facets of a photocatalyst.Yang Lu Yipeng Zang Haimin Zhang Yunxia Zhang Guozhong Wang Huijun Zhao 2016Science Bulletin2016,61,13:8

14Characteristics of the Late Quaternary right-lateral strike-slip movement of Bolokenu-Aqikekuduk fault in northern Tianshan Mountains,NW China显示文摘The characteristics of the Bolokenu-Aqikekuduk(Bo-A) fault,a right-lateral strike-slip fault that runs for more than 700 km long and obliquely cuts North Tianshan Mountains,are evaluated here based on remote sensing data,and through an analysis of the results from field investigations as well as climate-geomorphic events. The fault is composed of a western segment with a NW strike and an eastern segment with a NWW strike.The western segment is nearly 250 km long,extending northwestward into Kazakhstan with a right-lateral strike-slip rate of 5 mm/a.This domain consists of 4-5 rupture sections,with 3-4 deformation belts,caused by ancient or historical earthquakes,and suggesting the potential for the occurrence of further strong earthquakes(with M≈7.5) in future. The eastern segment of the fault shows a right-lateral strike-slip rate of 1-1.4 mm/a,with the development of 3-4 deformation belts caused by ancient or historical earthquakes,and with a potential for future strong earthquake with M≈7.0. 15Evaluation of multi-cycle performance of chemical looping dry reforming using CO_2 as an oxidant with Fe–Ni bimetallic oxides显示文摘Chemical looping dry reforming(CLDR) is an innovative technology for CO_2 utilization using the chemical looping principle.The CLDR process consists of three stages,i.e.CH4 reduction,CO_2 reforming,and air oxidation.Spinel nickel ferrite(NiFe_2O_4) was prepared and its multi-cycle performance as an oxygen carrier for CLDR was experimentally investigated.X-ray diffraction(XRD) and Laser Raman spectroscopy showed that a pure spinel crystalline phase(NiFe_2O_4) was obtained by a parallel flow co-precipitating method.NiFe_2O_4was reduced into Fe-Ni alloy and wustite(Fe_xO) during the CH_4 reduction process.Subsequent oxidation of the reduced oxygen carrier was performed with CO_2 as an oxidant to form an intermediate state:a mixture of spinel Ni_(1-x)Fe_(2+x)O_4,Fe_(2+y)O_4 and metallic Ni.And CO was generated in parallel during this stage.Approximate 185 mL of CO was generated for 1 g spinel NiFe_2O_4 in a single cycle.The intermediate oxygen carrier was fully oxidized in the air oxidation stage to form a mixture of Ni_(1+x)Fe_(2-x)O_4 and Fe_2O_3.Although the original state of oxygen carrier(NiFe_2O_4) was not fully regenerated and agglomeration was observed,a good recyclability was shown in 10 successive redox cycles.Zhen Huang Huanqi Jiang Fang He Dezhen Chen Guoqiang Wei Kun Zhao Anqing Zheng Yipeng Feng Zengli Zhao Haibin Li 2016Journal of Energy Chemistry2016,25,1:4
16A Cloud Detection Scheme for the Chinese Carbon Dioxide Observation Satellite(TANSAT)显示文摘Cloud detection is an essential preprocessing step for retrieving carbon dioxide from satellite observations of reflected sunlight.During the pre-launch study of the Chinese Carbon Dioxide Observation Satellite(TANSAT),a cloud-screening scheme was presented for the Cloud and Aerosol Polarization Imager(CAPI),which only performs measurements in five channels located in the visible to near-infrared regions of the spectrum.The scheme for CAPI,based on previous cloudscreening algorithms,defines a method to regroup individual threshold tests for each pixel in a scene according to the derived clear confidence level.This scheme is proven to be more effective for sensors with few channels.The work relies upon the radiance data from the Visible and Infrared Radiometer(VIRR)onboard the Chinese Feng Yun-3A Polar-orbiting Meteorological Satellite(FY-3A),which uses four wavebands similar to that of CAPI and can serve as a proxy for its measurements.The scheme has been applied to a number of the VIRR scenes over four target areas(desert,snow,ocean,forest)for all seasons.To assess the screening results,comparisons against the cloud-screening product from MODIS are made.The evaluation suggests that the proposed scheme inherits the advantages of schemes described in previous publications and shows improved cloud-screening results.A seasonal analysis reveals that this scheme provides better performance during warmer seasons,except for observations over oceans,where results are much better in colder seasons.Xi WANG Zheng GUO Yipeng HUANG Hongjie FAN Wanbiao LI 2017Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2017,34,1:4
17Structural design and parameter determination for fluted-roller fertilizer applicator显示文摘The instability of the motion layer of fertilizer particle influences the precision and the accuracy of the amount of fertilizer application in the working process of fluted-roller fertilizer applicator.The characteristics of the motion layer were investigated,and a systematic scheme was proposed for designing the structures of fertilizer-filling cavity,fertilizer-filling surface and fertilizer-delivery cavity.The key parameters of the structure were studied by discrete element method.It was figured out that to ensure the smooth operation of fertilizer applicator,the fertilizer-filling angle was 105°,fertilizer-contact angle should be large than 100°,and the fertilizer-resistance angle should be smaller than 35°.Moreover,the stability of fertilizer motion morphology was investigated to verify the design.The results showed that when the roll rotational speed was larger than 120 deg/s,compared with the conventional design the CV of the amount of fertilizer application was reduced from 1.5%-3.5%to 0.5%-1.0%,and the accuracy of the fertilizer discharge was improved with the square of the correlation coefficient between the amount of fertilizer application and the roll rotational speed was larger than 0.999.It was deduced from the results that the precision and accuracy of the amount of fertilizer application are improved via eliminating the driving layer and enhancing the stable filling and conveying of the forced layer.Shan Zeng Yipeng Tan Yu Wang Xiwen Luo Lamei Yao Dengpan Huang Zewen Mo 2020International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2020,13,2:4
18A new method of frequency-dependent network equivalence for power system显示文摘Electromagnetic transient simulation for large-scale power system is a time-consuming problem.A new frequency-dependent equivalence method is presented in the paper,which might significantly accelerate power system electromagnetic transient simulation.In the method,an effective algorithm is designed to directly transfer the port admittance determinant of external system's mixing matrix into admittance rational function;and the step-by-step strategy for the equivalence of actual large system is put forward,which further reduces the calculation quantities needed.Moreover,the study of multiple real root pole characteristics of admittance transfer function of two-port network is performed and a proposition is achieved.Based on the proposition and residue theorem,the equivalence system for external system corresponding to the admittance rational function is obtained.The computation complexity of the step-by-step equivalence method is about o(┌n/np×T┐)(┌┐ is upper integral operation,n is the total buses number of external system,N P is the total buses number of single step equivalence network,T is single step equivalence time),which indicates that the computation complexity of the method proposed has nearly linear relationship with the buses number of external system,and the method proposed has satisfactory computation speed.Since the mixing matrix of external system includes all the information of external system,therefore,port admittance rational function derived from it can reflect its full frequency characteristic and the equivalence network achieved has high equivalence precision.Moreover,since the port rational function is gained at the condition of the external system without source,which equals stable passive network,it could not show any unstable pole and need not extra measure to make the equivalence system stable.The test results of the samples and comparison with other methods demonstrate that the new method proposed is valid and effective.LIN JiKeng YAN YiPeng PU TianJiao LUO ShanShan LIU Tao ZHENG WeiHong WANG XuDong 2012Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,7:3

20Corrosion Behaviors of Nitride Coatings on Titanium Alloy in NaCl-Induced Hot Corrosion显示文摘TiN and TiAlN coatings were deposited by arc ion plating on titanium alloys to study their hot corrosion resistance when they were exposed to NaCl at 600℃.The microstructure and corrosion behaviors of nitride coatings were studied using scanning electron microscope,X-ray diffraction,electro-probe microanalyzer and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.The results showed that nitride coatings with the different compositions and the ones with the same composition but different thicknesses presented different hot corrosion resistance.TiN and thin TiAlN coatings showed poor corrosion resistance.Serious internal oxidation attacked the alloy substrate.Their corrosion products were mainly consisted of non-protective TiO2 and sodium salt.By contrast,the thick TiAlN coating presented outstanding corrosion resistance.Besides sodium salt,the corrosion products were composed of protective Al_(2)O_(3).The increasing thickness of TiAlN significantly enhanced the hot corrosion resistance.The corrosion mechanisms of alloy,TiN and TiAlN coatings were discussed in detail.Mingming Zhang Yipeng Feng Yahui Wang Yunsong Niu Li Xin Yongfeng Li Jianxiu Su Shenglong Zhu Fuhui Wang 2021Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2021,34,10:3
