1Necessity and feasibility of improving the residual resistance factor of polymer flooding in heavy oil reservoirs显示文摘The efficiency of water flooding in heavy oil reservoirs would be improved by increasing the viscosity of the displacing phase, but the sweep efficiency is not of significance due to the low mobility of the vicious oil. On the basis of mobility control theory, increasing the residual resistance factor not only reduces the water-oil mobility ratio but also decreases the requirement for viscosity enhancement of the polymer solution. The residual resistance factor caused by hydrophobic associating polymer solution is higher than that caused by polyacrylamide solution in brine containing high concentrations of calcium and magnesium ions. The results of numerical simulations show that the polymer flooding efficiency improved by increasing the residual resistance factor is far better than that by only increasing solution viscosity. The recovery factor of heavy oil reservoirs (70 mPa·s) can be enhanced by hydrophobic associating polymer solution of high residual resistance factor (more than 3) and high effective viscosity (24 mPa·s). 2Key residues of the receptor binding motif in the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2 that interact with ACE2 and neutralizing antibodies显示文摘Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),caused by the novel human coronavirus SARS-CoV-2,is currently a major threat to public health worldwide.The viral spike protein binds the host receptor angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(ACE2)via the receptor-binding domain(RBD),and thus is believed to be a major target to block viral entry.Both SARS-CoV-2 and SARS-CoV share this mechanism.Here we functionally analyzed the key amino acid residues located within receptor binding motif of RBD that may interact with human ACE2 and available neutralizing antibodies.The in vivo experiments showed that immunization with either the SARS-CoV RBD or SARS-CoV-2 RBD was able to induce strong clade-specific neutralizing antibodies in mice;however,the cross-neutralizing activity was much weaker,indicating that there are distinct antigenic features in the RBDs of the two viruses.This finding was confirmed with the available neutralizing monoclonal antibodies against SARS-CoV or SARS-CoV-2.It is worth noting that a newly developed SARS-CoV-2 human antibody,HA001,was able to neutralize SARS-CoV-2,but failed to recognize SARS-CoV.Moreover,the potential epitope residues of HA001 were identified as A475 and F486 in the SARS-CoV-2 RBD,representing new binding sites for neutralizing antibodies.Overall,our study has revealed the presence of different key epitopes between SARS-CoV and SARSCoV-2,which indicates the necessity to develop new prophylactic vaccine and antibody drugs for specific control of the COVID-19 pandemic although the available agents obtained from the SARS-CoV study are unneglectable.Chunyan Yi Xiaoyu Sun Jing Ye Longfei Ding Meiqin Liu Zhuo Yang Xiao Lu Yaguang Zhang Liyang Ma Wangpeng Gu Aidong Qu Jianqing Xu Zhengli Shi Zhiyang Ling Bing Sun 2020Cellular & Molecular Immunology2020,17,6:13
3Cell-SELEX-based aptamer-conjugated nanomaterials for enhanced targeting of cancer cells显示文摘Early detection and treatment of cancer depends on developing highly sensitive and specific methods for targeting cancer cells. To do this, aptamers, which are generated by a novel technique called cell-SELEX (systematic evolution of ligands by exponential enrichment), have been widely applied in cancer cell targeting based on such merits as high target affinity and specificity, small size, minimal immunogenicity, and ease of chemical modification. Furthermore, aptamers can gain more flexibility as cancer cell targeting tools when conjugated to nanomaterials, including metallic nanoparticles, quantum dots, silica nanoparticles, and carbon nanomaterials, among others. 5Laparoscopic vs open abdominoperineal resection in the multimodality management of low rectal cancers显示文摘AIM: To evaluate the safety and feasibility of laparoscopic abdominoperineal resection compared with the open procedure in multimodality management of rectal cancer.METHODS: A total of 106 rectal cancer patients who underwent open abdominoperineal resection(OAPR) were matched with 106 patients who underwent laparoscopic abdominoperineal resection(LAPR) in a 1 to 1 fashion, between 2009 and 2013 at Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center. Propensity score matching was carried out based on age, gender, pathological staging of the disease and administration of neoadjuvant chemoradiation. Data regarding preoperative staging, surgical technique, pathologicalresults, postoperative recovery and complications were reviewed and compared between the LAPR and OAPR groups. Perineal closure around the stoma and pelvic floor reconstruction were performed only in OAPR, not in LAPR. Therefore, abdominoperineal resection procedure-specific surgical complications including parastomal hernia and perineal wound complications were compared between the open and laparoscopic procedure. Regular surveillance of the two cohorts was carried out to gather prognostic data. Diseasefree survival was analyzed using Kaplan-Meier estimate and log-rank test. Subgroup analysis was performed in patients with locally advanced disease treated with preoperative chemoradiation followed by surgical resection. RESULTS: No significant difference was found between the LAPR group and the OAPR group in terms of clinicopathological features. The operation time(180.8 ± 47.8 min vs 172.1 ± 49.2 min, P = 0.190), operative blood loss(93.9 ± 60.0 m L vs 88.4 ± 55.2 m L, P = 0.494), total number of retrieved lymph nodes(12.9 ± 6.9 vs 12.9 ± 5.4, P = 0.974), surgical complications(12.3% vs 15.1%, P = 0.549) and pathological characteristics were comparable between the LAPR and OAPR group, respectively. Compared with OAPR patients, LAPR patients showed significantly shorter postoperative analgesia(2.4 ± 0.7 d vs 2.7 ± 0.6 d, P < 0.001), earlier first flatus(57.3 ± 7.9 h vs 63.5 ± 9.2 h, P < 0.001), shorter urinary drainage time(6.5 ± 3.4 d vs 7.8 ± 1.3 d, P < 0.001), and shorter postoperative admission(11.2 ± 4.7 d vs 12.6 ± 4.0 d, P = 0.014). With regard to APR-specific complications(perineal wound complications and parastomal hernia), there were no significant differences between the two groups. Similar results were found in the 26 pairs of patients administered neoadjuvant chemoradiation in subgroup analysis. During the follow-up period, no port site recurrences were observed. 6Gram-scale synthesis of all-inorganic perovskite quantum dots with high Mn substitution ratio and enhanced dual-color emission显示文摘Mn-doped all-inorganic perovskite quantum dots (QDs) provide prominent applications in the fields of low-cost light source or display,because of their remarkable properties including dual-color emission and reduced lead content,as well as high photoluminescence quantum yields (PLQYs) and high stability.However,the existing synthesis approaches usually require hash conditions,such as high temperature and nitrogen protection,which is a major hurdler for the practical manufacturing.In addition,the significantly high Mn substitution ratio in CsPbX3 QDs is still challenging.The real dual-color emission with two strong emission peaks in the Mn-doped all-inorganic perovskite QDs has attracted great interest.Here we present a gram-scale approach to synthesize both CsPbxMn1-xCI3 and CsPb1-xMnxClyBr3-y QDs at 100 ℃ in the air with high Mn substitution ratio,up to 55.64% atomically.The as-prepared CsPb1-xMnxClyBr3-y QDs exhibit high PLQYs of 62.41% and dual-color emission with two strong emission peaks around at 400-450 nm and 600 nm,respectively.The enhanced peak at 400-450 nm is a result of the hybrid halides in CsPbBrxCl3-x host.Furthermore,the unique advantage of the optical emission and high PLQYs properties of the CsPbxMn1-xCl3 QDs has been demonstrated as invisible ink for encryption applications and polymer composites.Our gram-scale synthesis approach for Mn-doped all-inorganic perovskite QDs may boost the future research and practical applications of QDs-based white LED,spintronics,and molecular barcoding.Lvming Dong Zhuo Chen Lei Ye Yan Yu Jianbing Zhang Huan Liu Jianfeng Zang 2019Nano Research2019,12,7:6
7A thinned lithosphere beneath coastal area of southeastern China as evidenced by seismic receiver functions显示文摘During Mesozoic to Cenozoic time, the large-scale tectono-magmatism had strongly modified the lithosphere beneath the southeastern continent of China, leaving the present-day lithosphere as a new one evolving from the ancient lithosphere that was largely removed and replaced. But this model proposed from geochemical and petrological research is urgently in need of support from seismic observational evidence. In this paper, based on the dataset recorded by the dense stations of two NE oriented broadband seismic profiles deployed in the coastal area of southeastern China(SE China), both P-wave(P-RF) and S-wave(S-RF) receiver functions were isolated. We identified Pls phase converted from the Lithosphere-Asthenosphere Boundary(LAB) in P-RFs of individual stations. Migrated Pls phase indicated a depth of 60–70 km for LAB. Inversions/comparisons of P-RF(Pls phase) and S-RF(Slp phase) waveforms together with Ps and Sp imaging for the crust and upper mantle structure further confirmed this result. P-RF and S-RF migrated images exhibit that a flat LAB is positioned at the depth of 60–70 km spreading along the profile, whereas a distinct structural change of lithospheric base appears at the Min River estuary. Both Ps and PpPs migrated images of P-RFs present an abrupt Moho drop across the Min River fault from south to north, which is consistent with previous result obtained from deep seismic sounding. 8Mapping Soil Electrical Conductivity Using Ordinary Kriging Combined with Back-propagation Network显示文摘Accurate mapping of soil salinity and recognition of its influencing factors are essential for sustainable crop production and soil health. Although the influencing factors have been used to improve the mapping accuracy of soil salinity, few studies have considered both aspects of spatial variation caused by the influencing factors and spatial autocorrelations for mapping. The objective of this study was to demonstrate that the ordinary kriging combined with back-propagation network(OK_BP), considering the two aspects of spatial variation, which can benefit the improvement of the mapping accuracy of soil salinity. To test the effectiveness of this approach, 70 sites were sampled at two depths(0–30 and 30–50 cm) in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, China. Ordinary kriging(OK), back-propagation network(BP) and regression kriging(RK) were used in comparison analysis; the root mean square error(RMSE), relative improvement(RI) and the decrease in estimation imprecision(DIP) were used to judge the mapping quality. Results showed that OK_BP avoided the both underestimation and overestimation of the higher and lower values of interpolation surfaces. OK_BP revealed more details of the spatial variation responding to influencing factors, and provided more flexibility for incorporating various correlated factors in the mapping. Moreover, OK_BP obtained better results with respect to the reference methods(i.e., OK, BP, and RK) in terms of the lowest RMSE, the highest RI and DIP. 10Magnetic field and performance analysis of a tubular permanent magnet linear synchronous motor applied in elevator door system显示文摘A novel elevator door driven by tubular permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (TPMLSM) is presented. This TPMLSM applies axial magnet array topology of the secondary rod, air-cored armature windings and slotless structure of the forcer to improve the stability of the thrust. The influence of two major dimensions, the pitch and radius of the permanent magnet (PM), on magnetic field was studied and the best values were given by the finite element analysis (FEA). The magnetic field, back EMF and thrust of the motor were analyzed and the PM size was optimized to reduce the harmonic components of the magnetic field and improve the performance of the motor. Predicted results are validated by the experiment. 14Serotonin regulates brain-derived neurotrophic factor expression in select brain regions during acute psychological stress显示文摘Previous studies suggest that serotonin(5-HT) might interact with brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF) during the stress response.However,the relationship between 5-HT and BDNF expression under purely psychological stress is unclear.In this study,one hour before psychological stress exposure,the 5-HT1 A receptor agonist 8-OH-DPAT or antagonist MDL73005,or the 5-HT2 A receptor agonist DOI or antagonist ketanserin were administered to rats exposed to psychological stress.Immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization revealed that after psychological stress,with the exception of the ventral tegmental area,BDNF protein and m RNA expression levels were higher in the 5-HT1 A and the 5-HT2 A receptor agonist groups compared with the solvent control no-stress or psychological stress group in the CA1 and CA3 of the hippocampus,prefrontal cortex,central amygdaloid nucleus,dorsomedial hypothalamic nucleus,dentate gyrus,shell of the nucleus accumbens and the midbrain periaqueductal gray.There was no significant difference between the two agonist groups.In contrast,after stress exposure,BDNF protein and m RNA expression levels were lower in the 5-HT1 A and 5-HT2 A receptor antagonist groups than in the solvent control non-stress group,with the exception of the ventral tegmental area.Our findings suggest that 5-HT regulates BDNF expression in a rat model of acute psychological stress.De-guo Jiang Shi-li Jin Gong-ying Li Qing-qing Li Zhi-ruo Li Hong-xia Ma Chuan-jun Zhuo Rong-huan Jiang Min-jie Ye 2016Neural Regeneration Research2016,11,9:3
15Effects of Acupuncture on Endometrium and Pregnancy Outcomes in Patients with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome Undergoing in vitro Fertilization-Embryo Transfer:A Randomized Clinical Trial显示文摘Objective:To observe the effect of acupuncture on endometrium and pregnancy outcomes in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS)infertility undergoing in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer(IVF-ET).Methods:Eighty-three patients were randomly assigned to observation group(40 cases)and control group(43 cases)according to the random numbers generated by SPSS software.The patients of the two groups received GnRH agonist long protocol as a routine treatment.In the observation group,acupuncture was given at two acupoint groups for 30 min once every other day.Group 1 included Guanyuan(CV 4),Qihai(CV 6),Zhongji(CV 3),bilateral acupoints Zigong(EX-CA1).Group 2 included Mingmen(GV 4),Yaoyangguan(GV 3),bilateral Shenshu(BL 23)and Ciliao(BL 32).The two groups of acupoints were used alternately.The whole needling process was performed at the time of ovulation induction until the transplantation day and consisted of3 courses,while the control group did not receive acupuncture interventions.The Gn dosage and Gn stimulation time,endometrial thickness and type(A,B,and C),serum oestradiol(E2)and progesterone(P)levels on the day of injection of human chorionic gonadotropin(hCG),clinical pregnancy rate,as well as live birth rate were observed.Adverse reactions were also be recorded.All patients were followed up for the pregnant rate 14 days after IVF-ET and live birth rate after pregnancy.All adverse reactions(AEs)of acupuncture were recorded during the trial.Ressults:The Gn dosage and Gn stimulation time in the observation group were lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.01).The proportion of type A endometrium in the observation group were higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).The serum E2 and P levels on the day of hCG injection was lower and the clinical pregnancy rate was higher in the observation group compared to those in the control group(P<0.05).There was no serious AEs during this trial.Conclusion:Acupuncture can improve the proportion of type A endometrium,regulate the levelse of serum Eand P on the day of hCG injection,and improve the pregnancy rate in patients with PCOS infertility undergoing IVF-ET.WU Jia-man NING Yan YE Yang-yang LIU Yu-lei TANG Meng HU Shan ZHUO Yuan-yuan 2022Chinese Journal of Integrative Medicine2022,28,8:3

18A prediction method for ground-based stellar occultations by ellipsoidal solar system bodies and its application显示文摘A new programmable prediction method is developed to refine the occultation band by taking into consideration the triaxiality of an occulting body, as well as two more factors, namely, the barycenter offset of an occulting planet from the relevant planetary satellite system and the gravitational deflection of light rays due to an occulting planet. Although these factors can be neglected in most cases, it is shown that there are cases when these factors can cause a variation ranging from several tens to thousands of kilometers in the boundaries of occultation bands. Knowledge of analytic geometry simplifies the process of derivation and computation. 19InAs-based interband cascade lasers at 4.0 μm operating at room temperature显示文摘InAs-based interband cascade lasers(ICLs) with InAs plasmon waveguides or InAs/AlSb superlattice(SL) waveguides were demonstrated at emission wavelengths below 4.1 μm. The threshold current densities of the lasers with SL waveguides were 37 A/cm^2 at 77 K in continuous wave mode. The operation temperature of these lasers reached room temperature in pulsed mode. 20Overexpression of N-cadherin is correlated with metastasis and worse survival in colorectal cancer patients显示文摘N-cadherin is related to the progression and metastases of several solid carcinomas.However,it was still unclear whether N-cadherin is overexpressed in colorectal malignant tumors that have stronger malignant tendency.In this study,we used immunohistochemistry to detect the expression patterns of N-cadherin in both the primary tumors and their normal mucosa tissues of 120patients with colorectal cancer.We revealed that N-cadherin was expressed in 78.3%(94/120)of colorectal tumor tissues and in only 9.2%(11/120)of paired distant normal mucosa tissues with a significant difference(P=0.000).The low,moderate,and high expression of N-cadherin protein was 42.5%,30.8%,and 26.7%,respectively.N-cadherin overexpression was associated with advanced TNM stage,lymph nodes metastasis and distant metastasis(P<0.05).Patients with N-cadherin overexpressed showed the obvious lower overall survival rate than those with moderate and low expression,and patients with low expression had a better survival rate than those with moderate and high expression(P<0.05).In conclusion,high N-cadherin expression may lead to tumor aggressiveness and metastatic potential in colorectal cancer,and may prove to be a possible prognostic factor.ZHUO HongQing JIANG KeWei DONG LingYi ZHU Yi Lü Liang Lü You ZHANG YanBin ZHANG Hui YE YingJiang WANG Shan 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,28:2
