Intelligent and connected vehicles: Current status and future perspectives显示文摘Intelligent connected vehicles(ICVs) are believed to change people's life in the near future by making the transportation safer, cleaner and more comfortable. Although many prototypes of ICVs have been developed to prove the concept of autonomous driving and the feasibility of improving traffic efficiency, there still exists a significant gap before achieving mass production of high-level ICVs. The objective of this study is to present an overview of both the state of the art and future perspectives of key technologies that are needed for future ICVs. It is a challenging task to review all related works and predict their future perspectives, especially for such a complex and interdisciplinary area of research. This article is organized to overview the ICV key technologies by answering three questions: what are the milestones in the history of ICVs; what are the electronic components needed for building an ICV platform; and what are the essential algorithms to enable intelligent driving? To answer the first question, the article has reviewed the history and the development milestones of ICVs. For the second question, the recent technology advances in electrical/electronic architecture, sensors, and actuators are presented. For the third question, the article focuses on the algorithms in decision making, as the perception and control algorithm are covered in the development of sensors and actuators. To achieve correct decision-making, there exist two different approaches: the principle-based approach and data-driven approach. The advantages and limitations of both approaches are explained and analyzed. Currently automotive engineers are concerned more with the vehicle platform technology, whereas the academic researchers prefer to focus on theoretical algorithms. However, only by incorporating elements from both worlds can we accelerate the production of high-level ICVs.YANG DianGe JIANG Kun ZHAO Ding YU ChunLei CAO Zhong XIE ShiChao XIAO ZhongYang JIAO XinYu WANG SiJia ZHANG Kai 2018Science China(Technological Sciences)2018,61,10:31

Immobilization of functional nano-objects in living engineered bacterial biofilms for catalytic applications显示文摘Nanoscale objects feature very large surface-area-to-volume ratios and are now understood as powerful tools for catalysis, but their nature as nanomaterials brings challenges including toxicity and nanomaterial pollution.Immobilization is considered a feasible strategy for addressing these limitations. Here,as a proof-of-concept for the immobilization of nanoscale catalysts in the extracellular matrix of bacterial biofilms,we genetically engineered amyloid monomers of the Escherichia coli curli nanofiber system that are secreted and can self-assemble and anchor nano-objects in a spatially precise manner. We demonstrated three scalable, tunable and reusable catalysis systems:biofilm-anchored gold nanoparticles to reduce nitro aromatic compounds such as the pollutant p-nitrophenol,biofilm-anchored hybrid Cd0.9Zn0.1S quantum dots and gold nanoparticles to degrade organic dyes and biofilm-anchored CdSeS@ZnS quantum dots in a semi-artificial photosynthesis system for hydrogen production. Our work demonstrates how the ability of biofilms to grow in scalable and complex spatial arrangements can be exploited for catalytic applications and clearly illustrates the design utility of segregating high-energy nano-objects from injury-prone cellular components by engineering anchoring points in an extracellular matrix.Xinyu Wang Jiahua Pu Yi Liu Fang Ba Mengkui Cui Ke Li Yu Xie Yan Nie Qixi Mi Tao Li Lingli Liu Manzhou Zhu Chao Zhong 2019National Science Review2019,6,5:9
Three-dimensional-printed individualized porous implants:A new“implant-bone”interface fusion concept for large bone defect treatment显示文摘Bone defect repairs are based on bone graft fusion or replacement.Current large bone defect treatments are inadequate and lack of reliable technology. Therefore,we aimed to investigate a simple technique using three-dimensional(3D)-printed individualized porous implants without any bone grafts, osteoinductive agents,or surface biofunctionalization to treat large bone defects, and systematically study its long-term therapeutic effects and osseointegration characteristics.Twenty-six patients with large bone defects caused by tumor, infection,or trauma received treatment with individualized porous implants;among them, three typical cases underwent a detailed study.Additionally,a large segmental femur defect sheep model was used to study the osseointegration characteristics.Immediate and long-term biomechanical stability was achieved, and the animal study revealed that the bone grew into the pores with gradual remodeling, resulting in a long-term mechanically stable implant-bone complex.Advantages of 3D-printed microporous implants for the repair of bone defects included 1)that the stabilization devices were immediately designed and constructed to achieve early postoperative mobility, and 2)that osseointegration between the host bone and implants was achieved without bone grafting. Our osseointegration method,in which the“implant-bone”interface fusion concept was used instead of“bone-bone”fusion,subverts the traditional idea of osseointegration.Teng Zhang Qingguang Wei Hua Zhou Zehao Jing Xiaoguang Liu Yufeng Zheng Hong Cai Feng Wei Liang Jiang Miao Yu Yan Cheng Daoyang Fan Wenhao Zhou Xinhong Lin Huijie Leng Jian Li Xinyu Li Caimei Wang Yun Tian Zhongjun Liu 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,11:9
Genome-wide Dissection of Co-selected UV-B Responsive Pathways in the UV-B Adaptation of Qingke显示文摘Qingke (Tibetan hulless barley) has long been cultivated and exposed to long-term and strong UV-B radiation on the Tibetan Plateau, which renders it an ideal species for elucidating novel UV-B responsive mechanisms in plants. Here we report a comprehensive metabolite profiling and metabolite-based genome-wide association study (mGWAS) using 196 diverse qingke and barley accessions. Our results demonstrated both constitutive and induced accumulation, and common genetic regulation, of metabolites from different branches of the phenylpropanoid pathway that are involved in UV-B protection. A total of 90 significant mGWAS loci for these metabolites were identified in barley-qingke differentiation regions, and a number of high-level metabolite trait alleles were found to be significantly enriched in qingke, suggesting co-selection of various phenylpropanoids. Upon dissecting the entire phenylpropanoid pathway, we identified some key determinants controlling natural variation of phenylpropanoid content, including three novel proteins, a flavone C-pentosyltransferase, a tyramine hydroxycinnamoyl acyltransferase, and a MYB transcription factor. Our study, furthermore, demonstrated co-selection of both constitutive and induced phenylpropanoids for UV-B protection in qingke.Xingquan Zeng Hongjun Yuan Xuekui Dong Meng Peng Xinyu Jing Qijun Xu Tang Tang Yulin Wang Sang Zha Meng Gao Congzhi Li Chujin Shu Zexiu Wei Wangmu Qimei Yuzhen Basang Jiabu Dunzhu Zeqing Li Lijun Bai Jian Shi Zhigang Zheng Sibin Yu Alisdair R.Fernie Jie Luo Tashi Nyima 2020Molecular Plant2020,13,1:9
Design theory and method of multivariate hash function显示文摘This paper proposes a novel hash algorithm whose security is based on the multivariate nonlinear polynomial equations of NP-hard problem over a finite field and combines with HAIFA iterative framework. Over the current widely used hash algorithms, the new algorithm has the following advantages: its security is based on a recognized difficult mathematical problem; the hash length can be changed freely; its design can be automated such that users may construct specific hash function meeting the actual needs. Furthermore, we discuss the security, efficiency and performance of the new algorithm. Under some related difficult mathematical assumptions and theoretical analysis, the new algorithm is proven practical by the experiment results, and capable of achieving security of an ideal hash function by choosing suitable parameters. In addition, it can also be used as a pseudo-random number generator for the good randomness of its output.WANG HouZhen ZHANG HuanGuo WU QianHong ZHANG Yu LI ChunLei ZHANG XinYu 2010Science China(Information Sciences)2010,53,10:8
Tianshanbeilu and the Isotopic Millet Road: reviewing the late Neolithic/Bronze Age radiation of human millet consumption from north China to Europe显示文摘The westward expansion of human millet consumption from north China has important implications for understanding early interactions between the East and West. However, few studies have focused on the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, the vast geographical area directly linking the ancient cultures of the Eurasian Steppe and the Gansu Corridor of China. In this study,we present the largest isotopic investigation of Bronze Age China(n=110)on material from the key site of Tianshanbeilu,in eastern Xinjiang. The large range ofδ13C values(–17.6 to–7.2;–15.5±1.2)provides direct evidence of unique dietary diversity and consumption of significant C4 resources(millets). The highδ15N results(10.3 to 16.7;14.7±0.8)likely reflect sheep/goat and wild game consumption and the arid climate of the Taklamakan Desert.Radiocarbon dates from four individuals indicate Tianshanbeilu was in use between 1940 and1215 cal bc.The Tianshanbeilu results are then analysed with respect to 52 Bronze Age sites from across Eurasia,to investigate the spread and chronology of significant human millet consumption and human migration. This isotopic survey finds novel evidence that the second millennium bc was a dynamic period, with significant dietary interconnectivity occurring between north China,Central Asia and Siberia.Further,we argue that this‘Isotopic Millet Road’extended all the way to the Mediterranean and Central Europe, and conclude that these C4 dietary signatures of millet consumption reflect early links(migration and/or resource transfer)between the Bronze Age inhabitants of modern-day China and Europe.Tingting Wang Dong Wei Xien Chang Zhiyong Yu Xinyu Zhang Changsui Wang Yaowu Hu Benjamin T.Fuller 2019National Science Review2019,6,5:8
Shear creep characteristics and constitutive model of limestone显示文摘The characters of limestone in weak interlayer of a high rocky slope in Xuzhou, China, are studied by shear static test and shear creep test. The results show that limestone specimens have attenuation creep properties and constant rate creep properties, almost have no accelerated creep properties. The exponential type empirical formula is selected to fit creep grading curves by polynomial regression analysis method, and the square sums of the fitting results residual are in the order of 10^(-7). Then grade creep curves at every shear loads are set up. Combining creep rate-time curve, the creep properties of limestone are analyzed. As the physical meaning of component model is clearer, the Poytin–Thomson model is set up. Through the least square method, the optimal parameters of Poytin–Thomson model are obtained, and the sums of squared residuals belong to 10^(-3)order of magnitude, which can meet the accuracy requirements of engineering calculation. So the Poytin–Thomson model can reflect the shear creep characteristics of limestone very well.Yu Mei Mao Xianbiao Hu Xinyu 2016International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2016,26,3:7
Analysis of insidious fault activation and water inrush from the mining floor显示文摘Based on the stress field distribution rule of the mining floor under abutment pressure, we have established a simplified mechanical model, which contains multiple factors relating to activation and evolution of insidious water-conductive faults. The influence of normal and shear stresses on fault activation and effective shear stress distribution in the fault plane was acquired under mining conditions.Using fracture mechanics theory to calculate the stress intensity factor of an insidious fault front, we have derived the criterion for main fault activation. Results indicate that during the whole working face advance, transpressions are exerted on fault planes twice successively in opposite directions. In most cases, the second transpression is more likely to lead to fault activation. Activation is influenced by many factors, predominant among which are: burial depth of the insidious fault, friction angle of the fault plane, face advance direction and pore water pressure. Steep fault planes are more easily activated to induce a sustained water inrush in the face.Hu Xinyu Wang Lianguo Lu Yinlong Yu Mei 2014International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2014,24,4:7
Scalable microfabrication of three-dimensional porous interconnected graphene scaffolds with carbon spheres for high-performance all carbon-based micro-supercapacitors显示文摘As one of the most important micro energy storage devices(MESDs),graphene-based micro-supercapacitors(G-MSCs)possess the advantages of excellent flexibility, long cycle life, affordability and high reliability. In most cases, constructing three-dimensional(3D)graphene networks is widely utilized to promote the permeation of electrolyte and enhance the utilization of active materials. In this work, conventional freeze-drying process is utilized in the fabrication of G-MSCs to constitute 3D interconnected networks micro-electrodes,and further by regulating the composition of inks, carbon spheres(CSs)at different mass loadings are introduced into the graphene scaffolds to further increase the active sites of the micro-electrodes.The fabricated all carbon-based MSC with the optimal mass loading of CSs(0.406 mg cm^(-2))exhibits a high specific areal capacitance of 17.01mF cm^(-2)at the scan rate of 10mV s^(-1)and a capacitance retention of 93.14%after 10000 cycles at the scan rate of 500 mV s^(-1).The proposed microfabrication process is facile and fully compatible with modern microtechnologies and will be highly suitable for large-scale production and integration.Yiming Chen Minghao Guo Liang He Wei Yang Lin Xu Jiashen Meng Xiaocong Tian Xinyu Ma Qiang Yu Kaichun Yang Xufeng Hong Liqiang Mai 2019Journal of Materiomics2019,5,2:6
The heterogeneity of islet autoantibodies and the progression of islet failure in type 1 diabetic patients显示文摘Type 1 diabetes mellitus is heterogeneous in many facets. The patients suffered from type 1 diabetes present several levels of islet function as well as variable number and type of islet-specific autoantibodies. This study was to investigate prevalence and heterogeneity of the islet autoantibodies and clinical phenotypes of type 1 diabetes mellitus; and also discussed the process of islet failure and its risk factors in Chinese type 1 diabetic patients. A total of 1,291 type 1 diabetic patients were enrolled in this study. Demographic information was collected. Laboratory tests including mixed-meal tolerance test, human leukocyte antigen alleles, hemoglobin A1 c, lipids, thyroid function and islet autoantibodies were conducted. The frequency of islet-specific autoantibody in newly diagnosed T1 DM patients(duration shorter than half year) was 73% in East China. According to binary logistic regressions, autoantibody positivity, longer duration and lower Body Mass Index were the risk factors of islet failure. As the disease developed, autoantibodies against glutamic acid decarboxylase declined as well as the other two autoantibodies against zinc transporter 8 and islet antigen 2. The decrease of autoantibodies was positively correlated with aggressive beta cell destruction. Autoantibodies can facilitate the identification of classic T1 DM from other subtypes and predict the progression of islet failure. As there were obvious heterogeneity in autoantibodies and clinical manifestation in different phenotypes of the disease, we should take more factors into consideration when identifying type 1 diabetes mellitus.Jin Liu Lingling Bian Li Ji Yang Chen Heng Chen Yong Gu Bingqin Ma Wei Gu Xinyu Xu Yun Shi Jian Wang Dalong Zhu Zilin Sun Jianhua Ma Hui Jin Xing Shi Heng Miao Bing Xin Yan Zhu Zhenwen Zhang Ruifang Bu Lan Xu Guangde Shi Wei Tang Wei Li Dongmei Zhou Jun Liang Xingbo Cheng Bimin Shi Jixiang Dong Ji Hu Chen Fang Shao Zhong Weinan Yu Weiping Lu Chenguang Wu Li Qian Jiancheng Yu Jialin Gao Xiaoqiang Fei Qingqing Zhang Xueqin Wang Shiwei Cui Jinluo Cheng Ning Xu Guofeng Wang Guoqing Han Chunrong Xu Yun Xie Minmin An Wei Zhang Zhixiao Wang Yun Cai Qi Fu Yu Fu Shuai Zheng Fan Yang Qingfang Hu Hao Dai Yu Jin Zheng Zhang Kuanfeng Xu Yifan Li Jie Shen Hongwen Zhou Wei He Xuqin Zheng Xiao Han Liping Yu Jinxiong She Mei Zhang Tao Yang 2016Science China(Life Sciences)2016,59,9:5
Coriander Genomics Database:a genomic, transcriptomic, and metabolic database for coriander显示文摘Coriander(Coriandrum sativum L.),also known as cilantro,is a globally important vegetable and spice crop. Its genome and that of carrot are models for studying the evolution of the Apiaceae family. Here,we developed the Coriander Genomics Database(CGDB,http://gffzzc8ce0bd092c048a1hc9nvbk65vnqf6kpx.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/)to collect, store, and integrate the genomic, transcriptomic, metabolic, functional annotation, and repeat sequence data of coriander and carrot to serve as a central online platform for Apiaceae and other related plants.Using these data sets in the CGDB,we intriguingly found that seven transcription factor(TF)families showed significantly greater numbers of members in the coriander genome than in the carrot genome. The highest ratio of the numbers of MADS TFs between coriander and carrot reached 3.15,followed by those for tubby protein(TUB)and heat shock factors. As a demonstration of CGDB applications,we identified 17 TUB family genes and conducted systematic comparative and evolutionary analyses.RNA-seq data deposited in the CGDB also suggest dose compensation effects of gene expression in coriander.CGDB allows bulk downloading, significance searches, genome browser analyses, and BLAST searches for comparisons between coriander and other plants regarding genomics, gene families, gene collinearity, gene expression, and the metabolome.A detailed user manual and contact information are also available to provide support to the scientific research community and address scientific questions.CGDB will be continuously updated, and new data will be integrated for comparative and functional genomic analysis in Apiaceae and other related plants.Xiaoming Song Fulei Nie Wei Chen Xiao Ma Ke Gong Qihang Yang Jinpeng Wang Nan Li Pengchuan Sun Qiaoying Pei Tong Yu Jingjing Hu Xinyu Li Tong Wu Shuyan Feng Xiu-Qing Li Xiyin Wang 2020Horticulture Research2020,7,1:4
Chinese expert consensus on conversion therapy for hepatocellular carcinoma(2021 edition)显示文摘Recent advances in systemic and locoregional treatments for patients with unresectable or advanced hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)have resulted in improved response rates. This has provided an opportunity for selected patients with initially unresectable HCC to achieve adequate tumor downstaging to undergo surgical resection,a‘conversion therapy’strategy. However, conversion therapy is a new approach to the treatment of HCC and its practice and treatment protocols are still being developed.Review the evidence for conversion therapy in HCC and develop consensus statements to guide clinical practice.Evidence review:Many research centers in China have accumulated significant experience implementing HCC conversion therapy.Preliminary findings and data have shown that conversion therapy represents an important strategy to maximize the survival of selected patients with intermediate stage to advanced HCC;however, there are still many urgent clinical and scientific challenges for this therapeutic strategy and its related fields. In order to summarize and learn from past experience and review current challenges, the Chinese Expert Consensus on Conversion Therapy for Hepatocellular Carcinoma(2021 Edition)was developed based on a review of preliminary experience and clinical data from Chinese and non-Chinese studies in this field and combined with recommendations for clinical practice.Sixteen consensus statements on the implementation of conversion therapy for HCC were developed. The statements generated in this review are based on a review of clinical evidence and real clinical experience and will help guide future progress in conversion therapy for patients with HCC.Hui-Chuan Sun Jian Zhou Zheng Wang Xiufeng Liu Qing Xie Weidong Jia Ming Zhao Xinyu Bi Gong Li Xueli Bai Yuan Ji Li Xu Xiao-Dong Zhu Dousheng Bai Yajin Chen Yongjun Chen Chaoliu Dai Rongping Guo Wenzhi Guo Chunyi Hao Tao Huang Zhiyong Huang Deyu Li Gang Li Tao Li Xiangcheng Li Guangming Li Xiao Liang Jingfeng Liu Fubao Liu Shichun Lu Zheng Lu Weifu Lv Yilei Mao Guoliang Shao Yinghong Shi Tianqiang Song Guang Tan Yunqiang Tang Kaishan Tao Chidan Wan Guangyi Wang Lu Wang Shunxiang Wang Tianfu Wen Baocai Xing Bangde Xiang Sheng Yan Dinghua Yang Guowen Yin Tao Yin Zhenyu Yin Zhengping Yu Bixiang Zhang Jialin Zhang Shuijun Zhang Ti Zhang Yamin Zhang Yubao Zhang Aibin Zhang Haitao Zhao Ledu Zhou Wu Zhang Zhenyu Zhu Shukui Qin Feng Shen Xiujun Cai Gaojun Teng Jianqiang Cai Minshan Chen Qiang Li Lianxin Liu Weilin Wang Tingbo Liang Jiahong Dong Xiaoping Chen Xuehao Wang Shusen Zheng Jia Fan 2022Hepatobiliary Surgery and Nutrition2022,11,2:4
Structural basis for bivalent binding and inhibition of SARS-CoV-2 infection by human potent neutralizing antibodies显示文摘Neutralizing monoclonal antibodies(nAbs)to severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)represent promising candidates for clinical intervention against coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).We isolated a large number of nAbs from SARS-CoV-2-infected individuals capable of disrupting proper interaction between the receptor binding domain(RBD)of the viral spike(S)protein and the receptor angiotensin converting enzyme 2(ACE2).However,the structural basis for their potent neutralizing activity remains unclear. Here,we report cryo-EM structures of the ten most potent nAbs in their native full-length IgG-form or in both IgG-form and Fab-form bound to the trimeric S protein of SARS-CoV-2.The bivalent binding of the full-length IgG is found to associate with more RBDs in the“up”conformation than the monovalent binding of Fab,perhaps contributing to the enhanced neutralizing activity of IgG and triggering more shedding of the S1 subunit from the S protein.Comparison of a large number of nAbs identified common and unique structural features associated with their potent neutralizing activities. This work provides a structural basis for further understanding the mechanism of nAbs,especially through revealing the bivalent binding and its correlation with more potent neutralization and the shedding of S1 subunit.Renhong Yan Ruoke Wang Bin Ju Jinfang Yu Yuanyuan Zhang Nan Liu Jia Wang Qi Zhang Peng Chen Bing Zhou Yaning Li Yaping Shen Shuyuan Zhang Long Tian Yingying Guo Lu Xia Xinyue Zhong Lin Cheng Xiangyang Ge Juanjuan Zhao Hong-Wei Wang Xinquan Wang Zheng Zhang Linqi Zhang Qiang Zhou 2021Cell Research2021,31,5:4
Highly sensitive flexible capacitive pressure sensor with a broad linear response range and finite element analysis of micro-array electrode显示文摘With the continuous development of wearable electronics, health care and smart terminals, highly performance flexible pressure sensors present a huge application prospect. In this study,by introducing the micro-array structured electrodes and dielectric layers with high dielectric constant, capacitive pressure sensor fabricated with a brand new preparation strategy and highly sensitive is proposed. The prepared micro-array structure is the basis for sensors with high sensitivity.Besides, the contact area between the two electrodes changes from linear to planar with the increased loading, which result in a wider linear responding range. In addition,by introducing ceramic dielectric material-barium titanate(BT)fillers into the dielectric layer to increase it’s the dielectric constant, the sensitivity of the sensor shows two-fold increase. Moreover, the sensitivity gradients can be tuned by changing the loading contents of BT particles.Hence, compared with parallel board capacitive sensors with ordinary dielectric layer, these sensors exhibit excellent performance as follow, high sensitivity(up to 4.9 kPa^(-1))under low pressure range(0-2500 Pa),low detection limit(<1.7 Pa),short response time(<50 ms),a stable response over 5000 loading-unloading cycles, bending stability and an adjustable sensitivity.Further, the flexible pressure sensor can detect the pressure of the water droplets and monitor human movement behavior. With the facile design and excellent comprehensive properties, the flexible pressure sensor provides a new approach to improve the sensitivity and shows a broad application prospects in the wearable electronics, health care and smart terminals.Longquan Ma Xuecheng Yu Yuanyuan Yang Yougen Hu Xinyu Zhang Huayuan Li Xing Ouyang Pengli Zhu Rong Sun Ching-ping Wong 2020Journal of Materiomics2020,6,2:4
Microstructural evolution and tensile properties of low-carbon steel with martensitic microstructure during warm deforming and annealing显示文摘For preparing large-scale nano-grained and ultrafine-grained steel sheets by warm rolling and annealing, the effects of de- forming temperature on both the flow stress and the microstructure evolution of 09MnNiD steel with lath martensitic microstructure were studied by warm-compression test and transmission electron microscopy(TEM)observation.Thereafter, the steel with the lath martensitic structure was multi-pass warm-rolled and then annealed.TEM results indicate that nano-grained and ultrafine-grained steel sheets are formed by warm rolling at 400℃and annealing at 400-600℃.In comparison with the as-warm-rolled specimen, the tensile strength at room temperature changes a little when the rolled samples are annealed below 450℃,and the tensile strength is greatly lowered as the annealing temperature increases to above 550℃.Yuwei Gao Tianfu Jing Guiying Qiao Jinku Yu Tiansheng Wang Qun Li Xinyu Song Shuqiang Wang Hong Gao 2008Journal of University of Science and Technology Beijing2008,15,3:4
Reversible N6-methyladenosine of RNA:The regulatory mechanisms on gene expression and implications in physiology and pathology显示文摘N6-methyladenosine(m6A)is the most abundant inner RNA modification in eukaryotes.Due to the development of RNA sequencing technology, the distribution pattern of m6A in the transcriptome has been uncovered.Dynamically, the reversible N6-methylation is mediated by two types of proteins, which are classified as“writers”and“erasers”.Under the association of specific co-factors,writers show spatiotemporal N6-methyltransferase activity.Mechanically,m6A can be recognized by“reader”proteins or can directly modify RNA conformation, and it widely affects gene expression by mediating RNA stability, translation, splicing and export.m6A is involved in a series of physiology processes.Dysregulation of m6A is gradually defined as the pathogenesis of some diseases,e.g.,cancer and cardiovascular disease. Therefore,a good understanding of m6A is essential for molecular biology and pathology research. In this article we systemically present an overview of the functions and mechanisms of identified m6A regulators. The discovered biological and pathological processes affected by m6A are also summarized. We hope that readers with related research interests benefit from our review.Xinyu Fang Mengyang Li Tao Yu Gaoli Liu Jianxun Wang 2020Genes & Diseases2020,7,4:4
Balancing the anionic framework polarity for enhanced thermoelectric performance in YbMg_(2)Sb_(2) Zintl compounds显示文摘1-2-2-type Zintl phase compound has aroused great interest for potential thermoelectric applications.However,YbMg_(2)Sb_(2) is seldom studied due to the very low electrical conductivity resulting from the large difference in the electronegativity between Mg and Sb.In this paper,we adjust the covalently bonded network of MgeSb by replacing part of the Mg with Zn which has the electronegativity closer to that of Sb.The decreased polarity in the anionic framework offers more free distance for electrons for the enhanced Hall mobility and electrical conductivity.Together with the increased point defect and the decreased lattice thermal conductivity by introduction of Zn,the maximum ZT value of ~0.8 at 773 K is achieved in YbMg_(0.9)Zn_(1.1)Sb_(2) which is~100% enhancement compared with that of YbMg_(2)Sb_(2).Zongwei Zhang Xinyu Wang Yijie Liu Chen Chen Honghao Yao Li Yin Xiaofang Li Shan Li Fan Zhang Fengxian Bai Jiehe Sui Bo Yu Feng Cao Xingjun Liu Jun Mao Guoqiang Xie Qian Zhang 2019Journal of Materiomics2019,5,4:3
Catalytic Property and Stability of Subnanometer Pt Cluster on Carbon Nanotube in Direct Propane Dehydrogenation显示文摘Main observation and conclusion The stability of nanosized platinum catalyst in direct propane dehydrogenation reaction is one of most critical challenges, which hin-ders the further improvements of catalytic performance. The cokes from side reaction covering the active site seriously undermine the catalyst stability. In this work, first principles calculations are performed to explore the catalytic properties of supported subna-nometer platinum cluster on carbon nanotube support and focus is put on the inhibition of deep dehydrogenation. The reactivities of metal, interface, and tin promoter are investigated at the same footing. The whole reaction pathway from propane adsorption to propene desorption is revealed for different sites. It turns out that the C-H bond activation in propane is not the catalytic step with the largest barrier.Instead, the desorption of propene is more difficult. The comparison between different sites indicates that the in-terface between metal and support and Sn promoter is helpful to curb the propene deep dehydrogenation. Moreover,a descriptor is proposed to screen the potential effective propane direct dehydrogenation catalyst. The current work provides important insights on the development of new dehydrogenation catalyst.Xiaoying Sun Jjiahui Xue Yu Ren Xinyu Li Liing Zhou Bo Li Zhen Zhao 2021Chinese Journal of Chemistry2021,39,3:3
The molecular determinants governing the immunogenicity of Japanese encephalitis live attenuated vaccines显示文摘In the course of isolating the attenuated Japanese encephalitis vaccine SA14-14-2,two attenuated strains SA14-9-7 and SA14-5-3 were also obtained that elicited low antibody responses in humans(o10%and 62%,respectively)and exerted much weaker immune protection in animal challenge experiments. However, the reason for these differences remains unknown. In order to understand why SA14-14-2 is superior to SA14-9-7 and SA14-5-3,we employed a reverse genetics method to identify the key mutations in the virus genome that determine the immunogenicity of live attenuated Japanese encephalitis viruses. We first sequenced the full genomic sequences of SA14-9-7 and SA14-5-3 and found mutations that changed four amino-acid base pairs when compared to the envelope gene of SA14-14-2.We mutated the genome of SA14-14-2 to generate these mutations both singly(E-177,E-264,E-279 and E-315)and in combination(E-177/264,E-279/315 and E-177/264/279/315)and tested these mutants along with parental strains SA14-14-2,SA14-9-7 and SA14-5-3 for their immunogenicity in vivo. When mice were immunized with SA14-9-7 and SA14-5-3,lower levels of neutralizing antibodies were generated compared with the immune response to SA14-14-2.Furthermore,SA14-5-3 was more immunogenic than SA14-9-7,which replicated the results previously seen in humans.Point mutations E-177,E-264,E-279 and E-315 diminished the immunogenicity of SA14-14-2 with E-264 and E-315,contributing the most to this phenotype. The mutant rJEV(E-177/E-264/E-279/E-315)containing all four point mutations exhibited the lowest immunogenicity with a seroconversion rate of 0 at an inoculation dose of 103 PFU(plaque-forming unit). We have identified the key amino acids in the envelope protein that account for the superior immunogenicity of SA14-14-2.Yuhua Li Yin Fu Xinyu Liu Huiqiang Yang Yongxin Yu Lili Jia Xuguang Li Aaron Farnsworth Junzhi Wang 2017Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2017,2,1:3
