1Efficacy and safety of external application of Traditional Chinese Medicine for the treatment of acute gouty arthritis: a systematic review and Meta-analysis显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of external application of Traditional Chinese Medicine (EATCM) on acute gouty arthritis (AGA).METHODS:Six electronic data bases were retrieved from their inception to march 2017.15 randomized controlled clinical trials (RCTs) were included.The quality of the literatures was assessed according to Cochrane review criteria by using RevMan5.3 software;and related data was counted using Stata14.0 software.RESULTS:There was no significant difference in C-reactiveprotein (CRP) between experimental intervention group and control group [(WMD =1.093,95% C/(-2.514,4.701);P =0.553)].In terms of overall efficacy,the EATCM's treatment group was significantly superior to control group [(OR =3.692;95% CI (2.408,5.661);P <0.001)].The EATCM was better than western medicine treatments or other interventions in reducing the adverse reactions [(OR =0.135;95% CI (0.067,0.274);P < 0.001)].All these funnel plots showed unlikelihood of publishing bias.But due to excessive heterogeneity,the statistical results of serum uric acid and visual analogue scale and CRP between the two groups became uncertain.CONCLUSION:The results indicate that EATCM may have greater overall efficacy with fewer adverse drug reactions,although the evidence is weak owing to the low methodological quality and the small number of the included trials.Huang Xinxing Zhu Zonghua Wu Guang-hui Min Peng Fei Peng Zhu Tao Wang Xuezong Xiao Lianbo 2019Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2019,39,3:12
2Policy iteration based Q-learning for linear nonzero-sum quadratic differential games显示文摘In this paper, a policy iteration-based Q-learning algorithm is proposed to solve infinite horizon linear nonzero-sum quadratic differential games with completely unknown dynamics. The Q-learning algorithm, which employs off-policy reinforcement learning(RL), can learn the Nash equilibrium and the corresponding value functions online, using the data sets generated by behavior policies. First, we prove equivalence between the proposed off-policy Q-learning algorithm and an offline PI algorithm by selecting specific initially admissible polices that can be learned online. Then, the convergence of the off-policy Qlearning algorithm is proved under a mild rank condition that can be easily met by injecting appropriate probing noises into behavior policies. The generated data sets can be repeatedly used during the learning process, which is computationally effective. 3Online adaptive Q-learning method for fully cooperative linear quadratic dynamic games显示文摘A model-based offline policy iteration(PI) algorithm and a model-free online Q-learning algorithm are proposed for solving fully cooperative linear quadratic dynamic games. The PI-based adaptive Q-learning method can learn the feedback Nash equilibrium online using the state samples generated by behavior policies, without sending inquiries to the system model. Unlike the existing Q-learning methods, this novel Q-learning algorithm executes both policy evaluation and policy improvement in an adaptive manner.We prove the convergence of the offline PI algorithm by proving its equivalence to Newton’s method while solving the game algebraic Riccati equation(GARE). Furthermore, we prove that the proposed Q-learning method will converge to the Nash equilibrium under a small learning rate if the method satisfies certain persistence of excitation conditions, which can be easily met by suitable behavior policies. 4Estimation of the accumulation rates and health risks of heavy metals in residential soils of three metropolitan cities in China显示文摘Heavy metal concentrations in urban soils are likely to increase over time because of contin-uous urbanization and heavy metal emissions.To estimate the accumulation rates of heavy metals in urban soils,we collected soil samples from residential areas with different build-ing ages in the metropolitan cities of Shanghai,Shenzhen,and Beijing,China.Heavy metal concentrations in the soils varied among the cities and were primarily affected by soil parent material and the intensity of anthropogenic sources.Regression analyses revealed that the accumulation rates of Cd and Cu in the soils ranged from 0.0034 to 0.0039 mg/(kg·year)and 0.343 to 0.391 mg/(kg·year),respectively,and were similar across the three cities,while ac-cumulation rates of Zn and Pb in Shanghai were higher than those in Shenzhen and Beijing.The higher accumulation rates of Zn and Pb in Shanghai can be explained by differences in city history and industrial structures among the cities.Residential soils with high health risks posed by the heavy metals were mostly collected from old towns of Shanghai because of high Pb content in the areas.Although recent urbanization resulted in elevated concen-trations of Cd,Cu,Zn,and Pb in the residential soils,the effect on the total health risks of residents exposed to the soils was negligible.Chi Peng Kai Zhang Meie Wang Xinxing Wan Weiping Chen 2022Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,5:1

6In situ TEM observation of neck formation during oriented attachment of PbSe nanocrystals显示文摘Oriented attachment of nanocrystals is an important route to constructing epitaxially-connected nanocrystal superlattices for various applications.During oriented attach me nt of semic on ductor nano crystals,neck can be formed betwee n nan ocrystals and it strongly influe nces the properties of the resulting superlattice.However,the neck formation mechanism is poorly understood.Here,we use in situ liquid cell transmission electro n microscopy(TEM)to directly observe the initiatio n and growth of homoepitaxial n ecks betwee n PbSe nano crystals with atomic details.We find that neck initiatio n occurs slowly(~10 s)whe n two nano crystals approach to each other within an edge-to-edge dista nee of 0.6 nm.During neck initiation,Pb and Se atoms defuse from other facets into the gap,forming'dynamic reversible'filaments.Once the filament(n eck)width is larger than a critical size of 0.9 nm,it gradually(15 s)widens into a 3-nm-wide n eck.The atomic structure of the neck is further obtained using ex situ aberration-corrected seanning TEM imaging.Neck initiation and growth mechanisms are elucidated with density functional theory calculati ons.Our direct unveiling of the atomic pathways of neck formatio n duri ng oriented attach me nt shed light into the fabrication of nanocrystal superlattices with improved structural order and electronic properties.Yu Wang Xinxing Peng Alex Abelson Bing-Kai Zhang Caroline Qian Peter Ercius Lin-Wang Wang Matt Law Haimei Zheng 2019Nano Research2019,12,10:1

8Oleophobic interaction mediated slippery organogels with ameliorated mechanical performance and satisfactory fouling-resistance显示文摘Owing to their inherent semi-solid property and lubricant ability,organogels manifest various unique characteristics and serve as promising candidates for antifouling.However,the poor mechanical properties of organogels often limit their practical applications.Herein,we report a simple and effective method to prepare organogels with reinforced mechanical performance and surface lubricant ability with the synergistic roles played by oleophobic and oleophilic chains.The rigid oleophobic chains have a poor affinity to lubricating solvent,which gives rise to high oleophobic interactions between polymer networks;the soft oleophilic chains possess a high affinity to the low surface energy solvent,which lead to high solvent content to maintain the satisfactory lubricant capacity.The organogel of oleophobic methyl methacrylate(MMA)and oleophilic lauryl methacrylate(LMA)is chosen as a representative example to illustrate this concept.With the optimal composition,the as-prepared organogels offer satisfactory tensile fracture stress,fracture strain,Young’s modulus,toughness,and tearing fracture energy of 480 k Pa,550%,202 k Pa,1.14 MJ m,and 5.14 k J m,respectively,which are far beyond the classical PLMA organogels.Furthermore,the biofouling resistance tests demonstrate 4 to 9-fold reduction of protein and bacteria adhesion on the reinforced organogels surface in comparison to the glass substrate and solvent-free dry organogels.This simple and effective approach to toughen organogels,we hope,can be applied in various fields with different practical functional requirements in the future.Liangpeng Zeng Hongyuan Cui Huilan Peng Xiaohang Sun Yi Liu Jingliang Huang Xinxing Lin Hui Guo Wei-Hua Li 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,26:0

10Minimax Q-learning design for H_(∞) control of linear discrete-time systems显示文摘The H_(∞)control method is an effective approach for attenuating the effect of disturbances on practical systems, but it is difficult to obtain the H_(∞)controller due to the nonlinear Hamilton-Jacobi-Isaacs equation, even for linear systems. This study deals with the design of an H_(∞)controller for linear discrete-time systems. To solve the related game algebraic Riccati equation(GARE), a novel model-free minimax Q-learning method is developed, on the basis of an offline policy iteration algorithm, which is shown to be Newton’s method for solving the GARE. The proposed minimax Q-learning method, which employs off-policy reinforcement learning, learns the optimal control policies for the controller and the disturbance online, using only the state samples generated by the implemented behavior policies. Different from existing Q-learning methods, a novel gradient-based policy improvement scheme is proposed. We prove that the minimax Q-learning method converges to the saddle solution under initially admissible control policies and an appropriate positive learning rate, provided that certain persistence of excitation(PE)conditions are satisfied. In addition, the PE conditions can be easily met by choosing appropriate behavior policies containing certain excitation noises, without causing any excitation noise bias.
