1Higher alcohol synthesis over Cu-Fe composite oxides with high selectivity to C_(2+)OH显示文摘Cu-Fe composite oxides were prepared by co-precipitation method and tested for higher alcohol synthesis from syngas. The selectivity to C2+OH and C6+OH in alcohol distribution was very high while the methane product fraction in hydrocarbon distribution was rather low, demonstrating a promising potential in higher alcohols synthesis from syngas. The distribution of alcohols and hydrocarbons approximately obeyed Anderson-Schulz-Flory distribution with similar chain growth probability, indicating alcohols and hydrocarbons derived from the same intermediates. The effects of Cu/Fe molar ratio, reaction temperature and gas hourly space velocity (GHSV) on catalytic performance were studied in detail. The sample with a Cu/Fe molar ratio of 10/1 exhibited the best catalytic performance. Higher reaction temperature accelerated water-gas-shift reaction and led to lower total alcohols selectivity. 2Analysis of GNSS radio occultation data from satellite ZH-01显示文摘The electromagnetic satellite Zhangheng 01(ZH-01) was successfully launched on February 2, 2018. The GNSS Radio Occultation(GRO) receiver on board the satellite is able to observe the occultation events of GPS and BeiDou navigation satellites. We analyzed the data acquired during the in-orbit testing period. We concludes that the GRO ionosphere inversion results are reasonable,the trend is correct, the satellite can observe about 600 ionosphere occultation events each day. The global coverage of more than 30000 consecutive GRO events in more than two months were analyzed and compared with COSMIC observations: both the GRO and COSMIC occultation can realize global coverage: the Nm F2 and Hm F2 global distributions are similar and change obviously with latitude. We used three digisondes at different latitudes to analyze and compare the spatio-temporally consistent GRO data: the RMSE of GRO Nm F2 relative to digisonde is better than 9.41%, the correlation coefficient is better than 0.8682: the relative RMSE of Hm F2 is better than 7.80% and the correlation coefficient is better than 0.7066.Yan Cheng Jian Lin XuHui Shen Xiang Wan XinXing Li WenJun Wang 2018Earth and Planetary Physics2018,2,6:2

11Breakdown of effective-medium theory by a photonic spin Hall effect显示文摘Effective-medium theory pertains to the theoretical modelling of homogenization,which aims to replace an inhomogeneous structure of subwavelength-scale constituents with a homogeneous effective medium.The effective-medium theory is fundamental to various realms,including electromagnetics and material science,since it can largely decrease the complexity in the exploration of light-matter interactions by providing simple acceptable approximation.Generally,the effective-medium theory is thought to be applicable to any all-dielectric system with deep-subwavelength constituents,under the condition that the effective medium does not have a critical angle,at which the total internal reflection occurs.Here we reveal a fundamental breakdown of the effective-medium theory that can be applied in very general conditions:showing it for deep-subwavelength all-dielectric multilayers even without a critical angle.Our finding relies on an exotic photonic spin Hall effect,which is shown to be ultrasensitive to the stacking order of deep-subwavelength dielectric layers,since the spin-orbit interaction of light is dependent on slight phase accumulations during the wave propagation.Our results indicate that the photonic spin Hall effect could provide a promising and powerful tool for measuring structural defects for all-dielectric systems even in the extreme nanometer scale.Shuaijie Yuan Xinxing Zhou Yu Chen Yuhan Zhong Lijuan Sheng Hao Hu Hongsheng Chen Ido Kaminer Xiao Lin 2023Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2023,66,11:0
12High-lying excited states in ^10Be from the ^9Be(^9Be,^10Be)^8Be reaction显示文摘A transfer-reaction experiment of ~9Be(~9Be,^(10)Be)~8Be was performed at a beam energy of 45 Me V.Excited states in ^(10)Be up to 18.80 Me V are produced using missing mass and invariant mass methods.Most of the observed high-lying resonant states,reconstructed from theα+~6He and t+~7Li decay channels,agree with the previously reported results.In addition,two new resonances at 15.6 and 18.8 Me V are identified from the present measurement.The 18.55 Me V state is found to decay into both the t + ~7Lig:s: and t + ~7Li?(0.478 MeV) channels, with a relative branching ratio of 0:93 ± 0:33. 13Comprehensive Evaluation of New Maize Varieties for Grain and Fodder Based on Membership Function Method显示文摘To screen new maize(Zea mays L.)varieties suitable for food and fodder dual-purpose in Du'an Yao Autonomous County of Guangxi,the agronomic characters,yield and quality indexes of 12 new maize varieties were measured,and the correlation between various indexes were analyzed,and the comprehensive performance of tested varieties was evaluated by membership function method.The results showed that Guidan 671 had the highest grain yield and whole-plant biomass at 10908 and 49965 kg/hm^(2),respectively,and the second was Zhaoyu 215 with a grain yield and whole-plant biomass of 10086 and 47175 kg/hm^(2),respectively.Grain yield was highly significantly positively correlated with ear diameter and 100-grain weight(P<0.01),and significantly correlated with whole-plant biomass,starch content,ear length and grain number per row(P<0.05);and the whole-plant biomass was highly significantly correlated with the number of grains per row(P<0.01),and significantly correlated with starch content,panicle length,plant height and panicle height(P<0.05).The comprehensive performance scores of the tested varieties from high to low were Guidan 671,Zhaoyu 215,Guidan 669,Guidan 6208,Guidan 666,Guidan 6205,Guidan 660,Guidan 6203,Guidan 6206,Guidan 162,Guidan 668 and Guidan 673.According to the values of membership function and combined with various indexes,Guidan 671 and Zhaoyu 215 had good comprehensive performance,and could be used as the first choice for food and fodder dual-purpose maize varieties in Du'an Yao Autonomous County.Chenglin ZOU Qiongxiang LIN Kaijian HUANG Ruining ZHAI Meng YANG Aihua HUANG Runxiu MO Xinxing WEI Yanfen HUANG 2023Agricultural Biotechnology2023,12,2:0

15Preparation of guanidine-modified starch for antimicrobial paper显示文摘Normal paper does not have antimicrobial properties.To impart antimicrobial properties to paper for medical applications,a guanidine-modified starch was prepared via two reaction steps using guanidine hydrochloride(GH)as a modifier,and added to the paper coating formula.FT-IR demonstrated that the GH was successfully grafted onto the starch via the Schiff base reaction.After coating with the modified starch,the antimicrobial performance of the paper against E.coli and S.aureus was evaluated by the disc diffusion method.The results indicated that the paper treated with the guanidine-modified starch exhibited excellent antimicrobial properties against the E.coli and S.aureus.In addition,the dry and wet strength indexes of the coated paper increased by 25%and 100%,respectively,as compared to the control paper.Kai Liu Xinxing Lin Lihui Chen Liulian Huang 2016Journal of Bioresources and Bioproducts2016,1,1:0
16Oleophobic interaction mediated slippery organogels with ameliorated mechanical performance and satisfactory fouling-resistance显示文摘Owing to their inherent semi-solid property and lubricant ability,organogels manifest various unique characteristics and serve as promising candidates for antifouling.However,the poor mechanical properties of organogels often limit their practical applications.Herein,we report a simple and effective method to prepare organogels with reinforced mechanical performance and surface lubricant ability with the synergistic roles played by oleophobic and oleophilic chains.The rigid oleophobic chains have a poor affinity to lubricating solvent,which gives rise to high oleophobic interactions between polymer networks;the soft oleophilic chains possess a high affinity to the low surface energy solvent,which lead to high solvent content to maintain the satisfactory lubricant capacity.The organogel of oleophobic methyl methacrylate(MMA)and oleophilic lauryl methacrylate(LMA)is chosen as a representative example to illustrate this concept.With the optimal composition,the as-prepared organogels offer satisfactory tensile fracture stress,fracture strain,Young’s modulus,toughness,and tearing fracture energy of 480 k Pa,550%,202 k Pa,1.14 MJ m,and 5.14 k J m,respectively,which are far beyond the classical PLMA organogels.Furthermore,the biofouling resistance tests demonstrate 4 to 9-fold reduction of protein and bacteria adhesion on the reinforced organogels surface in comparison to the glass substrate and solvent-free dry organogels.This simple and effective approach to toughen organogels,we hope,can be applied in various fields with different practical functional requirements in the future.Liangpeng Zeng Hongyuan Cui Huilan Peng Xiaohang Sun Yi Liu Jingliang Huang Xinxing Lin Hui Guo Wei-Hua Li 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,26:0
