| 1 | Skeleton pruning as trade-off between skeleton simplicity and reconstruction error显示文摘Skeletons can be viewed as a compact shape representation in that each shape can be completely reconstructed from its skeleton.However,the usefulness of a skeletal representation is strongly limited by its instability.Skeletons suffer from contour noise in that small contour deformation may lead to large structural changes in the skeleton.A large number of skeleton computation and skeleton pruning approaches has been proposed to address this issue.Our approach differs fundamentally in the fact that we cast skeleton pruning as a trade-off between skeleton simplicity and shape reconstruction error.An ideal skeleton of a given shape should be the skeleton with a simplest possible structure that provides a best possible reconstruction of a given shape.To quantify this trade-off,we propose that the skeleton simplicity corresponds to model simplicity in the Bayesian framework,and the shape reconstruction accuracy is expressed as goodness of fit to the data.We also provide a simple algorithm to approximate the maximum of the Bayesian posterior probability which defines an order for iteratively removing the end branches to obtain the pruned skeleton.Presented experimental results obtained without any parameter tuning clearly demonstrate that the resulting skeletons are stable to boundary deformations and intra class shape variability. | SHEN Wei BAI Xiang YANG XingWei LATECKI Longin Jan | 2013 | Science China(Information Sciences)2013,56,4: | 11 |
| 2 | Photonics-based radar with balanced I/Q de-chirping for interference-suppressed high-resolution detection and imaging显示文摘Photonics-based radar with a photonic de-chirp receiver has the advantages of broadband operation and real-time signal processing, but it suffers from interference from image frequencies and other undesired frequency-mixing components, due to single-channel real-valued photonic frequency mixing. In this paper, we propose a photonicsbased radar with a photonic frequency-doubling transmitter and a balanced in-phase and quadrature(I/Q)de-chirp receiver. This radar transmits broadband linearly frequency-modulated signals generated by photonic frequency doubling and performs I/Q de-chirping of the radar echoes based on a balanced photonic I/Q frequency mixer, which is realized by applying a 90° optical hybrid followed by balanced photodetectors. The proposed radar has a high range resolution because of the large operation bandwidth and achieves interference-free detection by suppressing the image frequencies and other undesired frequency-mixing components. In the experiment, a photonics-based K-band radar with a bandwidth of 8 GHz is demonstrated. The balanced I/Q de-chirping receiver achieves an image-rejection ratio of over 30 dB and successfully eliminates the interference due to the baseband envelope and the frequency mixing between radar echoes of different targets. In addition, the desired dechirped signal power is also enhanced with balanced detection. | 3 | Enabling an intrinsically safe and high-energy-density 4.5 V-class Li-ion battery with nonflammable electrolyte显示文摘Developing nonflammable electrolyte with a wide electrochemical window has become an urgent demand for high-energy-density and high-safe lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).Herein,a fluorinated nonflammable phosphate electrolyte is developed to construct a safe 4.5 V-class LIB(Si-SiC-C/0.35Li2MnO3-0.65LiNi0.5Mn0.5O2).The proposed fluorinated phosphate electrolyte,0.8 M LiPF6/tris(2,2,2-trifluoroethyl)phosphate(TFEP)+5 vol%fluoroethylene carbonate(FEC)+5 vol%vinylene carbonate(VC),is not only completely nonflammable but also exhibits excellent oxidative/reductive stability on 0.35Li2MnO30.65LiNi0.5Mn0.5O2 cathode and Si-SiC-C anode.The in situ differential electrochemical mass spectrometry and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy proved that TFEP-based electrolyte does not decompose into gases but forms a high-quality electrode-electrolyte interface on cathode surface at high working potential.The 4.5 V-class LIBs using 0.8 M LiPF6 TFEP-based nonflammable electrolyte shed some light on potential application for high-safe and low-cost larger-scale energy storage. | Ziqi Zeng Xingwei Liu Xiaoyu Jiang Zhenjie Liu Zhangquan Peng Xiangming Feng Weihua Chen Dingguo Xia Xinping Ai Hanxi Yang Yuliang Cao | 2020 | InfoMat2020,2,5: | 6 |

| 5 | Identification of Cognitive Dysfunction in Patients with T2DM Using Whole Brain Functional Connectivity显示文摘Majority of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)patients are highly susceptible to several forms of cognitive impairments,particularly dementia.However,the underlying neural mechanism of these cognitive impairments remains unclear.We aimed to investigate the correlation between whole brain resting state functional connections(RSFCs)and the cognitive status in 95 patients with T2DM.We constructed an elastic net model to estimate the Montreal Cognitive Assessment(MoCA)scores,which served as an index of the cognitive status of the patients,and to select the RSFCs for further prediction.Subsequently,we utilized a machine learning technique to evaluate the discriminative ability of the connectivity pattern associated with the selected RSFCs.The estimated and chronological MoCA scores were significantly correlated with R=0.81 and the mean absolute error(MAE)=1.20.Additionally,cognitive impairments of patients with T2DM can be identified using the RSFC pattern with classification accuracy of 90.54%and the area under the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve(AUC)of 0.9737.This connectivity pattern not only included the connections between regions within the default mode network(DMN),but also the functional connectivity between the task-positive networks and the DMN,as well as those within the task-positive networks.The results suggest that an RSFC pattern could be regarded as a potential biomarker to identify the cognitive status of patients with T2DM. | Zhenyu Liu Jiangang Liu Huijuan Yuan Taiyuan Liu Xingwei Cui Zhenchao Tang Yang Du Meiyun Wang Yusong Lin Jie Tian | 2019 | Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2019,17,4: | 4 |

The performance of the SLR system has been greatly improved since August 1997. The single shot precision is improved from 5-7 cm to 1-2 cm and the normal point precision reaches 4-7 mm. The long-term stability is better than 1 cm. The amount of observation has been increased from 1000 to over 3000 passes. | 14 | Anticarin-β shows a promising antiosteosarcoma effect by specifically inhibiting CCT4 to impair proteostasis显示文摘Unlike healthy, non-transformed cells, the proteostasis network of cancer cells is taxed to produce proteins involved in tumor development. Cancer cells have a higher dependency on molecular chaperones to maintain proteostasis. The chaperonin T-complex protein ring complex(TRiC) contains eight paralogous subunits(CCT1-8), and assists the folding of as many as 10% of cytosolic proteome.TRiC is essential for the progression of some cancers, but the roles of TRiC subunits in osteosarcoma remain to be explored. Here, we show that CCT4/TRiC is significantly correlated in human osteosarcoma,and plays a critical role in osteosarcoma cell survival. We identify a compound anticarin-β that can specifically bind to and inhibit CCT4. Anticarin-β shows higher selectivity in cancer cells than in normal cells. Mechanistically, anticarin-β potently impedes CCT4-mediated STAT3 maturation. | 17 | Task offloading mechanism based on federated reinforcement learning in mobile edge computing显示文摘With the arrival of 5G,latency-sensitive applications are becoming increasingly diverse.Mobile Edge Computing(MEC)technology has the characteristics of high bandwidth,low latency and low energy consumption,and has attracted much attention among researchers.To improve the Quality of Service(QoS),this study focuses on computation offloading in MEC.We consider the QoS from the perspective of computational cost,dimensional disaster,user privacy and catastrophic forgetting of new users.The QoS model is established based on the delay and energy consumption and is based on DDQN and a Federated Learning(FL)adaptive task offloading algorithm in MEC.The proposed algorithm combines the QoS model and deep reinforcement learning algorithm to obtain an optimal offloading policy according to the local link and node state information in the channel coherence time to address the problem of time-varying transmission channels and reduce the computing energy consumption and task processing delay.To solve the problems of privacy and catastrophic forgetting,we use FL to make distributed use of multiple users’data to obtain the decision model,protect data privacy and improve the model universality.In the process of FL iteration,the communication delay of individual devices is too large,which affects the overall delay cost.Therefore,we adopt a communication delay optimization algorithm based on the unary outlier detection mechanism to reduce the communication delay of FL.The simulation results indicate that compared with existing schemes,the proposed method significantly reduces the computation cost on a device and improves the QoS when handling complex tasks. | Jie Li Zhiping Yang Xingwei Wang Yichao Xia Shijian Ni | 2023 | Digital Communications and Networks2023,9,2: | 1 |
