1Sini powder ameliorates the inflammatory response in rats with stress-induced non-alcoholic fatty liver disease by inhibiting the nuclear factor kappa-B/pyrin domain-containing protein 3 pathway显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effectiveness of Sini powder for the treatment of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD) in rats and the molecular mechanisms involved.METHODS: A rat model of stress-induced NAFLD was established by a combination of long-term tethering and feeding of a high-fat, high-calorie diet. These rats were then intragastrically administered with either simvastatin, Sini powder, or vehicle for 1 week. The body mass and field test scores for each group were recorded weekly. Serum aspartate aminotransferase and alanine aminotransferase activities, and triglyceride, total cholesterol,and free fatty acid concentrations were measured.Liver tissue histopathology was examined on hematoxylin and eosin-stained paraffin sections and oil red O-stained frozen sections. The hepatic m RNA expression of nuclear factor kappa-B(NF-κB),NOD-, LRR-, and pyrin domain-containing protein 3(NLRP3), apoptosis-associated speck-like protein containing CARD(ASC), and caspase-1 were measured by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR). The hepatic protein concentrations of NF-κB and NLRP3, ASC, caspase-1, interleukin-1β(IL-1β), interleukin-6(IL-6), and the serum concentrations of IL-1β and IL-6 were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.RESULTS: Compared with the Blank group, rats in the Compound model group showed significant pathologic manifestations of NAFLD, and the expression of NF-κB, NLRP3, ASC, caspase-1, IL-1βand IL-6 were significantly higher(all P < 0.01). Both simvastatin and Sini powder significantly ameliorated the NAFLD pathology and the abnormal expression of NF-κB, NLRP3, ASC, caspase-1, IL-1β, and IL-6(all P < 0.01).CONCLUSION: Sini powder inhibits the inflamma-tory response in rats with NAFLD, which is mediated by NF-κB/NLRP3, IL-1β, and IL-6, reduces the effects of psychological stress, and improves lipid metabolism. 2Review of Coded Modulation Free Space Optical Communication System显示文摘This paper presents a constructive discussion and inclusive review on advancements in the coded modulation free-space optical(FSO) communication system and corresponding techniques. These techniques mainly include channel model,forward error correction(FEC) and modulation schemes. Firstly,a complete view of FSO system is presented which contains the description,the current research situation along with the advantages over the traditional radio frequency(RF) wireless communication and fiber optical communications. Then,the channel model,FEC,modulation schemes and complete system of coded modulation FSO are analyzed successively. 3Ant colony optimization based load balancing routing and wavelength assignment for optical satellite networks显示文摘An ant colony optimization(ACO) based load balancing routing and wavelength assignment(RWA) algorithm(ALRWA) was put forward for the sake of achieving a fairy load balancing over the entire optical satellite networks. A multi-objective optimization model is established considering the characteristic of global traffic distribution. This not only employs the traffic intensity to modify the light path cost, but also monitors the wavelength utilization of optical inter-satellite links(ISLs). Then an ACO algorithm is utilized to solve this model, leading to finding an optimal light path for every connection request. The optimal light path has the minimum light path cost under satisfying the constraints of wavelength utilization, transmission delay and wavelength-continuity. Simulation results show that ALRWA performs well in blocking probability and realizes efficient load balancing. 8Effect of dietary defatted diatom biomass on egg production and quality of laying hens显示文摘Background:This study was to determine if feeding laying hens with defatted diatom microalgal biomass(DFA)from biofuel production affected their egg production and health status.Methods:Five replicates of 5 individually caged ISA Babcock White leghorn hens were fed 4 diets,including a corn-soybean meal control diet,a diet containing 7.5%DFA substituting for soybean meal,and diets containing7.5%or 15%DFA substituting for corn and soybean meal.Body weights,feed intake,feed conversion ratio(FCR),rate of egg production,egg size,egg mass,and several characteristics of eggs were determined at 4 and 8 wk.Venous blood was sampled at 4 and 8 wk for measurement of 5 biomarkers of health.Results:The 15%DFA diet decreased(P < 0.05) feed intake,egg production,and plasma uric acid concentrations as compared with the control diet,but increased(P < 0.05) egg albumen weight and height compared with the 7.5%DFA diets.The two levels of DFA produced dose-dependent(P < 0.05) changes in three color measures of egg yolk,without affecting four hen plasma biochemical indicators of health.Conclusions:Feeding laying hens with 7.5%DFA in the corn-soybean meal diet for 8 wk had no adverse effect on their health,egg production,or egg quality,but 15%inclusion reduced feed intake,egg production,and efficiency of feed utilization.Xiangjun Leng Kun-Nan Hsu Richard E Austic Xin'gen Lei 2014Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2014,5,3:1

10Optomechanical soft metamaterials显示文摘We present a new type of optomechanical soft metamaterials, which is different from conventional mechanical metamaterials, in that they are simple isotropic and homogenous materials without resorting to any complex nano/microstructures. This metamaterial is unique in the sense that its responses to uniaxial forcing can be tailored by programmed laser inputs to manifest different nonlinear constitutive behaviors, such as monotonic, S-shape, plateau, and non-monotonic snapping performance. To demonstrate the novel metamaterial, a thin sheet of soft material impinged by two counterpropagating lasers along its thickness direction and stretched by an in-plane tensile mechanical force is considered. A theoretical model is formulated to characterize the resulting optomechanical behavior of the thin sheet by combining the nonlinear elasticity theory of soft materials and the optical radiation stress theory. The optical radiation stresses predicted by the proposed model are validated by simulations based on the method of finite elements. Programmed optomechanical behaviors are subsequently explored using the validated model under different initial sheet thicknesses and different optical inputs, and the first-and second-order tangential stiffness of the metamaterial are used to plot the phase diagram of its nonlinear constitutive behaviors.The proposed optomechanical soft metamaterial shows great potential in biological medicine, microfluidic manipulation,and other fields.Xiangjun Peng Wei He Yifan Liu Fengxian Xin Tian Jian Lu 2017Acta Mechanica Sinica2017,33,3:1
11Performance Analysis of Optical Transmission Based on Seven Cores Fiber显示文摘This essay designed a kind of new seven-core fiber with lower crosstalk and loss,and made space division multiplexing transmission experiment based on this seven-core fiber.It is known that crosstalk has the most serious influence in multicore fiber transmission process.Before the experiment,the affecting factors of fiber crosstalk were analyzed through simulation,such as core space,bending radius,and fiber length.Combined with the simulation analysis,the design scheme of multicore fiber with low crosstalk was obtained.Before the fiber design,various factors of influence crosstalk such as the coreto-core distance,bending radius,fiber length and so on.Based on the simulation analysis,conclusion has made on the design scheme of multi-core optimal fiber with low crosstalk.The space division multiplexing and wavelength division multiplexing technology,was adopted to conduct seven-core optical fiber transmission of 58.7km.The crosstalk of adjacent core was suppressed to as low as 45 d B/km,the attenuation of inner core was 0.24 d B/km,the outer cores' 0.32 d B/km.Different bit error rate(BER) performances were also studied under different conditions,through reasonably designing the system to reduce the error rate,improve the performance of the system,and realize long distance and large capacity transmission with fiber.Hang Zhou Fu Wang Borui Li Ming Tang Xiangjun Xin 2016China Communications2016,13,9:1
12Design of adaptive backoff algorithm for satellite network using grey system显示文摘In contention-based satellite communication system, collisions between data packets may occur due to the randomly sending of the packets. A proper delay before each transmission can reduce the data collision rate. As classical random multiple access protocol, the slotted ALOHA(S-ALOHA) reduces the data collision rate through time slot allocation and synchronous measures. In order to improve the stability and throughput of satellite network, a backoff algorithm based on S-ALOHA will be effective. A new adaptive backoff algorithm based on S-ALOHA using grey system was proposed, which calculates the backoff time adaptively according to the network condition. And the network condition is estimated by each user terminal according to the prediction of the channel access success ratio using the model GM(1,1) in grey system. The proposed algorithm is compared to other known schemes such as the binary exponential backoff(BEB) and the multiple increase multiple decrease(MIMD) backoff. The performance of the proposed algorithm is simulated and analyzed. It is shown that throughput of the system based on the proposed algorithm is better than of system based on BEB and MIMD backoff. And there are also some improvements of the delay performance compared to using BEB. 13Stackelberg Game-Based Resource Allocation with Blockchain for Cold-Chain Logistics System显示文摘Cold-chain logistics system(CCLS)plays the role of collecting and managing the logistics data of frozen food.However,there always exist problems of information loss,data tampering,and privacy leakage in traditional centralized systems,which influence frozen food security and people’s health.The centralized management form impedes the development of the cold-chain logistics industry and weakens logistics data availability.This paper first introduces a distributed CCLS based on blockchain technology to solve the centralized management problem.This system aggregates the production base,storage,transport,detection,processing,and consumer to form a cold-chain logistics union.The blockchain ledger guarantees that the logistics data cannot be tampered with and establishes a traceability mechanism for food safety incidents.Meanwhile,to improve the value of logistics data,a Stackelberg game-based resource allocation model has been proposed between the logistics data resource provider and the consumer.The competition between resource price and volume balances the resource supplement and consumption.This model can help to achieve an optimal resource price when the Stackelberg game obtains Nash equilibrium.The two participants also can maximize their revenues with the optimal resource price and volume by utilizing the backward induction method.Then,the performance evaluations of transaction throughput and latency show that the proposed distributed CCLS is more secure and stable.The simulations about the variation trend of data price and amount,optimal benefits,and total benefits comparison of different forms show that the resource allocation model is more efficient and practical.Moreover,the blockchain-based CCLS and Stackelberg game-based resource allocation model also can promote the value of logistic data and improve social benefits.Yang Zhang Chaoyang Li Xiangjun Xin 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,5:1
14A low-energy ion spectrometer with half-space entrance for three-axis stabilized spacecraft显示文摘A low-energy ion spectrometer(LEIS) for use aboard three-axis stabilized spacecraft has been developed to measure ion energy per charge distribution in three-dimensional space with good energy-, angular-and temporal-resolutions. For the standard top-hat electrostatic analyzer used widely in space plasma detection, three-axis stabilized spacecraft makes it difficult to obtain complete coverage of all possible ion arrival directions. We have designed angular scanning deflectors supplementing to a cylindrically symmetric top-hat electrostatic analyzer to provide a half-space field of view as 360°×90°(–45°–+45°), and fabricated the LEIS flight model for detecting magnetospheric ions in geosynchronous orbit. The performance of this payload has been evaluated in detail by a series of simulation and environmental tests, and the payload has also been calibrated through laboratory experiments using a low-energy ion source. 20A multi-path routing algorithm of LEO satellite networks based on an improved ant colony system显示文摘Geography rectangle is used to reduce signaling overhead of the LEO satellite networks.Moreover,a multi-path routing algorithm based on an improved ant colony system(MPRA-AC) is proposed.Matrix indicating the importance of the link between satellites is introduced into MPRA-AC in order to find the optimal path more quickly.Simulation results show that MPRA-AC reduces the number of iterations to achieve a satisfactory solution.At the same time,the packet delivery ratio of LEO satellite networks when running MPRA-AC and DSR-LSN(dynamic source routing algorithm for LEO satellite networks) is compared.The packet delivery ratio is about 7.9%lower when running DSR-LSN.Moreover,because of the mechanism of active load balancing of MPRA-AC,simulation results show that MPRA-AC outperforms DSR-LSN in link utilization when data packets are transmitted in the networks.王厚天 Zhang Qi Xin Xiangjun Tao Ying Chen Dong Liu Naijin 2014High Technology Letters2014,20,3:1
