| 1 | Determination of Content of Amino Acid in Abalone by Precolumn Derivatization and its Nutritional Value Evaluation显示文摘[Objectives] This study was conducted to optimize the determination conditions of amino acids from abalone. [Methods] The sample was treated by acid hydrolysis method and subjected to 2,4-2 nitro fluorobenzene column derivatization. The amino acid content in abalone was determined by HLPC,and the nutritional value of the amino acids was evaluated with egg protein model put forward by Institute of Nutrition and Food Hygiene,Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine. [Results] Abalone contains full amino acids. According to the FAO/WHO ideal,it is a high-quality protein source and suitable for supplement of protein source for human body. | 2 | Experimental research on reasonable lubricant quantity for transmission gears used in high-speed train显示文摘The transmission efficiency, bulk temperature, integrate temperature, and scuffing load of test gears were investigated by a modified FZG rig. These values were measured in four different oil immersion depths with one kind of potential oil that may be used to replace the current synthetic oil in order to find the reasonable lubricant quantity that meets not only the need of transmission performance but also the need of scuffing resistance for high-speed train gears. For the purpose of evaluating the efficiency of the test gears, there were two sensors added to measure the output torque of testing gears and the compensation torque of motor. The minimum lubrication film thickness at the pitch point was gained through an EHL model. The ratio of the film thickness was used to identify the friction status when scuffing occurred at different oil levels. The results demonstrated that no matter what kind of the immersion depth was, the minimum film thickness on the pitch point was about 0.1 m and the ratio of film thickness was about 1.5 when scuffing occurred. | 3 | Extracting Vegetation Phenology Metrics in Changbai Mountains Using an Improved Logistic Model显示文摘Remotely sensing images are now available for monitoring vegetation dynamics over large areas.In this paper,an improved logistic model that combines double logistic model and global function was developed.Using this model with SPOT/NDVI data,three key vegetation phenology metrics,the start of growing season (SOS),the end of growing season (EOS) and the length of growing season (LOS),were extracted and mapped in the Changbai Mountains,and the relationship between the key phenology metrics and elevation were established.Results show that average SOS of forest,cropland and grassland in the Changbai Mountains are on the 119th,145th,and 133rd day of year,respectively.The EOS of forest and grassland are similar,with the average on the 280th and 278th,respectively.In comparison,average EOS of the cropland is relatively earlier.The LOS of forest is mainly from the 160th to 180th,that of the grassland extends from the 140th to the 160th,and that of cropland stretches from the 110th to the 130th.As the latitude increases for the same land cover in the study area,the SOS significantly delays and the EOS becomes earlier.The SOS delays approximately three days as the elevation increases 100 m in the areas with elevation higher than 900 m above sea level (a.s.l.).The EOS is slightly earlier as the elevation increases especially in the areas with elevation below 1200 m a.s.l.The LOS shortens approximately four days as the elevation increases 100 m in the areas with elevation higher than 900 m a.s.l.The relationships between vegetation phenology metrics and elevation may be greatly influenced by the land covers.Validation by comparing with the field data and previous research results indicates that the improved logistic model is reliable and effective for extracting vegetation phenology metrics. | LI Ming WU Zhengfang QIN Lijie MENG Xiangjun | 2011 | Chinese Geographical Science2011,21,3: | 4 |
| 4 | Separation and simultaneous quantitation of PGF2α and its epimer 8-iso-PGF2α using modifier-assisted differential mobility spectrometry tandem mass spectrometry显示文摘Because many therapeutic agents are contaminated by epimeric impurities or form epimers as a result of metabolism, analytical tools capable of determining epimers are increasingly in demand. This article is a proof-of-principle report of a novel DMS–MS/MS method to separate and simultaneously quantify epimers, taking PGF2α and its 8-epimer, 8-iso-PGF2α, as an example. Good accuracy and precision were achieved in the range of 10–500 ng/m L with a run time of only 1.5 min. Isopropanol as organic modifier facilitated a good combination of sensitivity and separation. | 5 | BTEX anomalies used as indicators of submarine oil and gas reservoirs显示文摘It is a conventional method for petroleum prospecting to generally use paraffin hydrocarbon as basic indexes of oil and gas. This conventional geochemical technology, however, shows some limits in the prospecting as paraffin is vulnerable to influences from human and biologic activities. Consequently, BTEX (short for benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene and xylem, which are direct biomarkers) among aromatic hydrocarbon series has been taken into account for the oil and gas prediction. Domestic and foreign study results demonstrate that BTEX is hardly disturbed and can well indicate oil and gas reservoirs. Based on measured data from a South China Sea area, the present authors have used self-developed visual assessment software for petroleum prospecting has been used to process data, strip background anomalies, and outline significant BTEX anomalies. | 6 | A correlation analysis method for analyzing tribological states using acoustic emission, frictional coefficient, and contact resistance signals显示文摘A multi-physical signal correlation analysis method is proposed to identify the different tribological properties of materials.The acoustic emission(AE),contact resistance,and frictional force behaviors during dry sliding between four metals,45#carbon steel,YG12 carbide,2A12 aluminum alloy,and H62 brass,have been studied.Both positive and negative correlations between the root mean square of the amplified AE(AE RMS)signal and the frictional coefficient have been found in the experiments.In addition,the AE RMS signal and the contact resistance changed with changing sliding speed and normal load in different ways.The different correlation behaviors have been attributed to diverse tribological states under different experimental conditions due to different material characteristics.The correlation analysis provides a new method of quantitatively identifying the tribological states and the AE sources during frictional interaction.The observed anomalous correlations between the AE signal and frictional coefficient should be properly considered according to the different material properties during industrial friction condition monitoring using AE technology. | Pengyi TIAN Yu TIAN Lei SHAN Yonggang MENG Xiangjun ZHANG | 2015 | Friction2015,3,1: | 3 |

| 8 | A Preliminary Study on Fertilization Biology between Epinephelus coioides(♀) and Epinephelus lanceolatus(♂)显示文摘Crossbreeding between Epinephelus coioides( ♀) and Epinephelus lanceolatus(♂) was conducted by artificial insemination. Fertilized eggs were collected at 0,30,90 s,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15 min post-insemination respectively,which were fixed by Smith's solution,embedded by paraffins and stained by H. E. According to the characteristics of Epinephelus coioides eggs,tissue section method was modified. The results showed that the sperms of Epinephelus lanceolatus rapidly entered the eggs of Epinephelus coioides at 30 s- 1min post-insemination. Observation results of tissue sections showed that mature eggs of Epinephelus coioides remained at metaphase of secondary maturation division. The eggs were activated after sperm penetration into the egg. | 20 | Influence of thickness and permeability of endothelial surface layer on transmission of shear stress in capillaries显示文摘The molecular coating on the surface of microvascular endothelium has been identified as a barrier to transvascular exchange of solutes. With a thickness of hundreds of nanometers, this endothelial surface layer(ESL) has been treated as a porous domain within which fluid shear stresses are dissipated and transmitted to the solid matrix to initiate mechanotransduction events. The present study aims to examine the effects of the ESL thickness and permeability on the transmission of shear stress throughout the ESL. Our results indicate that fluid shear stresses rapidly decrease to insignificant levels within a thin transition layer near the outer boundary of the ESL with a thickness on the order of ten nanometers. The thickness of the transition zone between free fluid and the porous layer was found to be proportional to the square root of the Darcy permeability. As the permeability is reduced ten-fold, the interfacial fluid and solid matrix shear stress gradients increase exponentially two-fold. While the interfacial fluid shear stress is positively related to the ESL thickness, the transmitted matrix stress is reduced by about 50% as the ESL thickness is decreased from 500 to 100 nm, which may occur under pathological conditions. Thus, thickness and permeability of the ESL are two main factors that determine flow features and the apportionment of shear stresses between the fluid and solid phases of the ESL.
