1BiVO_(4),Bi_(2)WO_(6) and Bi_(2)MoO_(6) photocatalysis:A brief review显示文摘In recent years,photocatalytic technologies have been extensively studied and diffusely used in water splitting,decomposition of organic pollutants,reduction of carbon dioxide,etc.As a type of eye-catching semiconductors,BiVO_(4),Bi_(2)WO_(6),and Bi_(2)MoO_(6) (denoted as BiaAOb)have become a hotspot in photocatalytic researches due to their crystal structure stability,high light quantum and electronic transmission efficiency,and outstanding energy utilization capacity.However,pristine BiaAOb(A=V,W,and Mo)possesses several drawbacks,such as low separation efficiency of photo-excited electron-hole pairs,low specific surface area,as well as the poor quantum utilization,which restrict their photocatalytic performance.Considerable efforts,such as nanostructure modification,surface engineering,and heterojunction/homojunction fabrication,have been conducted to solve these problems.This integrated review aims to sum up recent advances in current studies on fabrication of high efficiency BiaAOb photocatalysts to accelerate the developments of BiaAOb-based materials in the photocatalysis(PC)field.The current challenges and prospects of BiaAOb are emphasized which stretches the existing fundamental theories of PC as well as provide a promising strategy to fabricate high efficiency BiaAOb catalysts to control environmental pollution and assist the sustainable development of energy.Xintong Liu Shaonan Gu Yanjun Zhao Guowei Zhou Wenjun Li 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,56,21:13
2Horizontal crustal movement before the great Wenchuan earthquake obtained from GPS observations in the regional network显示文摘The great Wenchuan earthquake of M8.0 on May 12,2008,occurred in an area with dense GPS observation stations in the regional network of the Crustal Movement Observation Network of China(CMONOC).Non-continuous observations were carried out at the 1 000 GPS stations of the regional network in 1999,2001,2004 and 2007.The horizontal displacements at GPS stations in the regional network before the Wenchuan earthquake show that the main driving tectonic force of the earthquake was the northward pushing of the Indian plate,added at the same time by the pushing of plates on the east and south.In comparison to the displacements in other regions,the horizontal displacements near and around the seismic area is characterized by diverging eastward displacements,that is,the stations to the north of the epicenter moved in the ENE direction while those to the south of epicenter moved in ESE direction with smaller displacements at stations near the epicenter.The accuracy of the estimated strain results is briefly discussed.In order to obtain the anomalous information before the earthquake,the methods of both best fits by trend surface and statistics have been used in the study for finding the future epicentral area from the strain accumulations in the regional network observed from 1999 to 2007 before the Wenchuan earthquake.Besides the epicentral area of the western Kunlun mountain pass earthquake of M8.1 in 2001,the results of best fits by trend surfaces of the strain accumulations from 1999 to 2007 in the regional network show that the Wenchuan earthquake occurred at the eastern fringe of a large area with relatively large accumulations of the first shear strains and also at the northeastern fringe of a smaller area with significant accumulated areal compressions.The statistics of the accumulations of the strain components demonstrates that they also showed anomalous distribution patterns in this area and its neighborhood with increasing accumulations of both shear strains and areal compressions.Guohua Gu Wuxing Wang Yueren Xu Wenjun Li 2009Earthquake Science2009,22,5:9

4A Polysaccharide-Degrading Marine Bacterium Flammeovirga sp.MY04 and Its Extracellular Agarase System显示文摘Bacteria of the genus Flammeovirga can digest complex polysaccharides (CPs), but no details have been reported regarding the CP depolymerases of these bacteria. MY04, an agarolytic marine bacterium isolated from coastal sediments, has been identified as a new member of the genus Flammeovirga. The MY04 strain is able to utilize multiple CPs as a sole carbon source and grows well on agarose, mannan, or xylan. This strain produces high concentrations of extracellular proteins (490 mg L-1 ± 18.2 mg L-1 liquid culture) that exhibit efficient and extensive degradation activities on various polysaccharides, especially agarose. These proteins have an activity of 310 U mg-1 ± 9.6 U mg-1 proteins. The extracellular agarase system (EAS) in the crude extracellular enzymes contains at least four agarose depolymerases, which are with molecular masses of approximately 30-70 kDa. The EAS is stable at a wide range of pH values (6.0-11.0), temperatures (0-50℃), and sodium chloride (NaCl) concentrations (0- 0.9 mol L-1). Two major degradation products generated from agarose by the EAS are identified to be neoagarotetraose and neoagarohexaose, suggesting that β-agarases are the major constituents of the MY04 EAS. 5Combined amendment reduces soil Cd availability and rice Cd accumulation in three consecutive rice planting seasons显示文摘The scientific application of stabilized materials has been considered an effective method for the in situ remediation of Cd-contaminated soil.This study aimed to investigate the persistence of the effect of a combined amendment of limestone and sepiolite(LS)on soil Cd availability and accumulation in rice grown in a mildly Cd-contaminated paddy field(0.45 mg/kg of Cd)over three consecutive rice seasons.1125–4500 kg/ha of LS was applied to the soil before the first rice planting season and 562.5–2250 kg/ha of LS was supplemented before the third rice planting season.The application of LS(1125–4500 kg/ha)increased the soil p H by 0.44–1.09,0.18–0.53,and 0.42–0.68 in the first,second,and third season,respectively,and decreased the soil acid-extractable Cd content by 18.2–36.4%,17.7–33.5%,and9.6–17.6%.LS application significantly decreased the Cd contents in the rice tissues.The application of 4500 kg/ha of LS decreased the Cd content in brown rice to below the National Food Limit Standard of 0.2 mg/kg(GB 2762-2017)in the three consecutive rice seasons.However,the effect of LS on the soil-rice system was significantly weakened in the third season.The supplementary application of 562.5–2250 kg/ha of LS further decreased the Cd content in brown rice by 26.1–56.5%and decreased the health risk index by 23.7–43.8%.Therefore,it was recommended to apply 4500 kg/ha of LS in the first season and to supplement2250 kg/ha of LS in the third season to effectively guarantee the clean production of rice in three consecutive rice seasons.Wenjun Yang Shilong Wang Hang Zhou Min Zeng Jingyi Zhang Fang Huang Shiping Shan Zhaohui Guo Hongwei Yi Zhiguang Sun Jiaofeng Gu Bohan Liao 2022Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,1:4
6Deletion of a Non-Catalytic Region Increases the Enzymatic Activity of a β-Agarase from Flammeovirga sp. MY04显示文摘A Glycoside hydrolase(GH) typically contains one catalytic module and varied non-catalytic regions(NCRs). However, effects of the NCRs to the catalytic modules remain mostly unclear except the carbohydrate-binding modules(CBMs). Aga G4 is a GH16 endo-β-agarase of the agarolytic marine bacterium Flammeovirga sp. MY04. The enzyme consists of an extra sugar-binding peptide within the catalytic module, with no predictable CBMs but function-unknown sequences in the NCR, which is a new characteristic of agarase sequences. In this study, we deleted the NCR sequence, a 140-amino acid peptide at the C-terminus and expressed the truncated gene, aga G4-T140, in Escherichia coli. After purification and refolding, the truncated agarase r Aga G4-T140 retained the same catalytic temperature and p H value as r Aga G4. Using combined fluorescent labeling, HPLC and MS/MS techniques, we identified the end-products of agarose degradation by r Aga G4-T140 as neoagarotetraose and neoagarohexaose, with a final molar ratio of 1.53:1 and a conversion ratio of approximately 70%, which were similar to those of r Aga G4. However, the truncated agarase r Aga G4-T140 markedly decreased in protein solubility by 15 times and increased in enzymatic activities by 35 times. The oligosaccharide production of r Aga G4-T140 was approximately 25 times the weight of that produced by equimolar r Aga G4. 8FinFET Performance Enhancement by Source/Drain Cavity Structure Optimization显示文摘Fin field-effect transistor(FinFET)technology has been introduced to the mainstream complementary metal-oxide semiconductor(CMOS)manufacturing for low-power and highperformance applications.However,advanced FinFET nodes are facing significant challenges to enhance the device performance due to the increasingly prominent parasitic resistance and capacitance.In this study,for the first time,we demonstrate methods of enhancing p-channel FinFET(pFET)performance on a fully integrated advanced FinFET platform via source/drain(S/D)cavity structure optimization.By modulating the cavity depth and proximity around the optimal reference point,we show that the trade-off between the S/D resistance and short channel effect,as well as the impact on the parasitic capacitance must be considered for the S/D cavity structure optimization.An extra process knob of applying cavity implant on the desired cavity structure was also demonstrated to modify the S/D junction profile for device performance enhancement.Man Gu Wenjun Li Haiting Wang Owen Hu 2020Journal of Microelectronic Manufacturing2020,3,2:1

10Anti-infection effects of heparin on SARS-CoV-2 in a diabetic mouse model显示文摘Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARSCo V-2)infection can result in more severe syndromes and poorer outcomes in patients with diabetes and obesity.However,the precise mechanisms responsible for the combined impact of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)and diabetes have not yet been elucidated,and effective treatment options for SARS-Co V-2-infected diabetic patients remain limited.To investigate the disease pathogenesis,K18-h ACE2 transgenic(h ACE2^(Tg))mice with a leptin receptor deficiency(h ACE2-Lepr^(-/-))and high-fat diet(h ACE2-HFD)background were generated.The two mouse models were intranasally infected with a 5×10^(5) median tissue culture infectious dose(TCID_(50))of SARSCo V-2,with serum and lung tissue samples collected at 3days post-infection.The h ACE2-Lepr^(-/-)mice were then administered a combination of low-molecular-weight heparin(LMWH)(1 mg/kg or 5 mg/kg)and insulin via subcutaneous injection prior to intranasal infection with1×10^(4) TCID_(50)of SARS-Co V-2.Daily drug administration continued until the euthanasia of the mice.Analyses of viral RNA loads,histopathological changes in lung tissue,and inflammation factors were conducted.Results demonstrated similar SARS-Co V-2 susceptibility in h ACE2^(Tg)mice under both lean(chow diet)and obese(HFD)conditions.However,compared to the h ACE2-Lepr^(+/+)mice,h ACE2-Lepr^(-/-)mice exhibited more severe lung injury,enhanced expression of inflammatory cytokines and hypoxia-inducible factor-1α(HIF-1α),and increased apoptosis.Moreover,combined LMWH and insulin treatment effectively reduced disease progression and severity,attenuated lung pathological changes,and mitigated inflammatory responses.In conclusion,preexisting diabetes can lead to more severe lung damage upon SARS-Co V-2 infection,and LMWH may be a valuable therapeutic approach for managing COVID-19patients with diabetes.Zhongyun Zhang Ning Zhang Xuancheng Lu Min Zhou Xiaoxiang Yan Weiqiong Gu Jingru Yang Qin Zhang Cheng Zhang Yuhuan Gong Mingjun Jia Xiaoyu Zhang Peng Ning Mei Liu Xiaoyan Li Xiaomeng Shi Wenjun Liu George FGao Guang Ning Jiqiu Wang Yuhai Bi 2023Zoological Research2023,44,6:1

17Effects of heterogeneous reaction with NO_(2) on ice nucleation activities of feldspar and Arizona Test Dust显示文摘Mineral dust is an important type of ice nucleating particles in the troposphere;however,the effects of heterogeneous reactions on ice nucleation(IN)activities of mineral dust remain to be elucidated.A droplet-freezing apparatus(Guangzhou Institute of Geochemistry Ice Nucleation Apparatus,GIGINA)was developed in thiswork to measure IN activities of atmospheric particles in the immersion freezingmode,and its performancewas validated by a series of experimental characterizations.This apparatus was then employed to measure IN activities of feldspar and Arizona Test Dust(ATD)particles before and after heterogeneous reaction with NO_(2)(10±0.5 ppmv)at 40%relative humidity.The surface coverage of nitrate,θ(NO_(3)^(−)),increased to 3.1±0.2 for feldspar after reaction with NO_(2) for 6 hr,and meanwhile the active site density per unit surface area(ns)at-20℃ was reduced from 92±5 to<1.0 cm^(−2) by about two orders of magnitude;however,no changes in nitrate content or IN activities were observed for further increase in reaction time(up to 24 hr).Both nitrate content and IN activities changed continuously with reaction time(up to 24 hr)for ATD particles;after reaction with NO_(2) for 24 hr,θ(NO_(3)^(−))increased to 1.4±0.1 and ns at-20℃ was reduced from 20±4 to 9.7±1.9 cm^(−2) by a factor of∼2.Our work suggests that heterogeneous reaction with NO_(2),an abundant reactive nitrogen species in the troposphere,may significantly reduce IN activities of mineral dust in the immersion freezing mode.Lanxiadi Chen Chao Peng Jingchuan Chen Jie Chen Wenjun Gu Xiaohong Jia Zhijun Wu Qiyuan Wang Mingjin Tang 2023Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,5:0
18Shallow Feature-driven Dual-edges Localization Network for Weakly Supervised Localization显示文摘Weakly supervised object localization mines the pixel-level location information based on image-level annotations.The traditional weakly supervised object localization approaches exploit the last convolutional feature map to locate the discriminative regions with abundant semantics.Although it shows the localization ability of classification network,the process lacks the use of shallow edge and texture features,which cannot meet the requirement of object integrity in the localization task.Thus,we propose a novel shallow feature-driven dual-edges localization(DEL)network,in which dual kinds of shallow edges are utilized to mine entire target object regions.Specifically,we design an edge feature mining(EFM)module to extract the shallow edge details through the similarity measurement between the original class activation map and shallow features.We exploit the EFM module to extract two kinds of edges,named the edge of the shallow feature map and the edge of shallow gradients,for enhancing the edge details of the target object in the last convolutional feature map.The total process is proposed during the inference stage,which does not bring extra training costs.Extensive experiments on both the ILSVRC and CUB-200-2011 datasets show that the DEL method obtains consistency and substantial performance improvements compared with the existing methods.Wenjun Hui Guanghua Gu Bo Wang 2023Machine Intelligence Research2023,20,6:0
19Cryogenic induced phase separation of chitosan solution——A novel method for preparation of membrane with high porosity显示文摘The chitosan porous membrane was prepared by extending the principle of thermally induced phase separation (TIPS) for the polymer-diluent system to the polymer solution at ambient temperature to carry out the cryogenic induced phase separation (CIPS). 20TRIP Steel Retained Austenite Transformation under Cyclic V-bending Deformation显示文摘To investigate the transformation behavior of TRIP steel retained austenite under cyclic load, cyclic V-bending deformation of low carbon Si-Mn TRIP600 was studied by experiment and finite element in this paper. The results showed that, under cyclic V-bending deformation, retained austenite in TRIP steel transformed into martensite gradually with the increasing of bending times, and for the symmetrical characteristic, upper surface and lower surface presented the same transformation tendency. From the fi rst to the fourth V-bending deformation, retained austenite volume fraction decreased nearly linearly and then attained saturation step by step. Compressive stress state was helpful for martensite transformation than tension stress state with V-bending deformation, and strain magnitude was the determining factor for retaining austenite martensitic transformation. With the increasing of bending times effective stress increased and the relationship between maximum effective stress and bending times was nearly linear. Effective stress and effective strain distribution were non-uniform, the maximum effective stress and effective strain were present in the center of the samples. The relationships between retained austenite and V-bending times, and retained austenite with effective strain were set up as Eqs.(1)-(5).
