1Development and distribution of geohazards triggered by the 5.12 Wenchuan Earthquake in China显示文摘As the Wenchuan Earthquake was of high magnitude and shallow seismic focus, it caused great dam- age and serious geohazards. By the field investigation and the interpretation of remote-sensing infor- mation after the earthquake and by using means of GIS technology, the distribution of geohazards triggered by the earthquake are analyzed and the conclusions are as follows: (1) The earthquake geo- hazards showed the feature of zonal distribution along the earthquake fault zone and linear distribution along the rivers; (2) the distribution of earthquake geohazards had a marked hanging wall effect, for the development density of geohazards in the hanging wall of earthquake fault zone was obviously higher than that in the foot wall and the width of strong development zone in the hanging wall was about 10 km; (3) the topographical slope was a main factor which controlled the development of earthquake geo- hazards and a vast majority of hazards were distributed on the slopes of 20° to 50°; (4) the earthquake geohazards had a corresponding relationship with the elevation and micro-landform, for most hazards happened in the river valleys and canyon sections below the elevation of 1500 to 2000 m, particularly in the upper segment of canyon sections (namely, the turning point from the dale to the canyon). Thin ridge, isolated or full-face space mountains were most sensitive to the seismic wave, and had a striking amplifying effect. 2Spatial Distribution of Large-scale Landslides Induced by the 5.12 Wenchuan Earthquake显示文摘The 5.12 Wenchuan Earthquake in 2008 induced hundreds of large-scale landslides. This paper systematically analyzes 112 large-scale landslides (surface area > 50000 m2), which were identified by interpretation of remote sensing imagery and field investigations. The analysis suggests that the distribution of large-scale landslides is affected by the following four factors: (a) distance effect: 80% of studied large-scale landslides are located within a distance of 5 km from the seismic faults. The farther the distance to the faults, the lower the number of large-scale landslides; (b) locked segment effect: the large-scale landslides are mainly located in five concentration zones closely related with the crossing, staggering and transfer sections between one seismic fault section and the next one, as well as the end of the NE fault section. The zone with the highest concentration was the Hongbai-Chaping segment, where a great number of large-scale landslides including the two largest landslides were located. The second highest concentration of large-scale landslides was observed in the Nanba-Donghekou segment at the end of NE fault, where the Donghekou landslide and the Woqian landslide occurred; (c) Hanging wall effect: about 70% of the large-scale landslides occurred on the hanging wall of the seismic faults; and (d) direction effect: in valleys perpendicular to the seismic faults, the density of large-scale landslides on the slopes facing the seismic wave is obviously higher than that on the slopes dipping in the same direction as the direction of propagation of the seismic wave. Meanwhile, it is found that the sliding and moving directions of large-scale landslides are related to the staggering direction of the faults in each section. 3Wastewater reclamation and reuse in China:Opportunities and challenges显示文摘The growing water stress both in terms of water scarcity and quality deterioration promotes the development of reclaimed water as a new water resource use. This paper reviewed wastewater reuse practices in China, and the opportunities and challenges of expanding reclaimed water use were analyzed. Rapid urbanization with the increasing of water demand and wastewater discharge provides an opportunity for wastewater reuse. The vast amount of wastewater discharge and low reclaimed water production mean that wastewater reuse still has a great potential in China. Many environmental and economic benefits and successful reclamation technologies also provide opportunities for wastewater reuse. In addition, the overall strategy in China is also encouraging for wastewater reuse. 4Real-time transient stability assessment in power system based on improved SVM显示文摘Due to the strict requirements of extremely high accuracy and fast computational speed, real-time transient stability assessment(TSA) has always been a tough problem in power system analysis.Fortunately, the development of artificial intelligence and big data technologies provide the new prospective methods to this issue, and there have been some successful trials on using intelligent method, such as support vector machine(SVM) method.However, the traditional SVM method cannot avoid false classification, and the interpretability of the results needs to be strengthened and clear.This paper proposes a new strategy to solve the shortcomings of traditional SVM,which can improve the interpretability of results, and avoid the problem of false alarms and missed alarms.In this strategy, two improved SVMs, which are called aggressive support vector machine(ASVM) and conservative support vector machine(CSVM), are proposed to improve the accuracy of the classification.And two improved SVMs can ensure the stability or instability of the power system in most cases.For the small amount of cases with undetermined stability, a new concept of grey region(GR) is built to measure the uncertainty of the results, and GR can assessment the instable probability of the power system.Cases studies on IEEE 39-bus system and realistic provincial power grid illustrate the effectiveness and practicability of the proposed strategy.Wei HU Zongxiang LU Shuang WU Weiling ZHANG Yu DONG Rui YU Baisi LIU 2019Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2019,7,1:14
5Formation,distribution and risk control of landslides in China显示文摘China is a country with a large population as well as frequent landslides. The formation and distribution of landslides in China are determined by its special topography, complex geological environment, active earthquake environment and unusual climate features. This paper analyzes the main features and distribution of 200 catastrophic landslides that occurred in China since 1900. The relationships among the distribution of landslides and topographic conditions, geological structure, climate features and strong earthquake environment are analyzed. The features of landslide-triggering factors and critical conditions in different areas have also been considered. Based on the above-mentioned work, the authors have undertaken the studies of landslide susceptibility assessment. The study is performed according to the topographic and geological features, which are the main triggering factors that affect the landslides. The China's Mainland can be divided into 12 zones, including 4 high susceptibility zones, 7 medium susceptibility zones and 1 low susceptibility zone, according to landslide proneness. Considering the number of life loss and extent of property loss caused by landslides in those 12 zones, the risk evaluation results are listed as follows: 2 extremely high-risk zones, 5 high-risk zones, 2 medium-risk zones and 3 low-risk zones. Taking the number of life loss caused by landslides as the standard of risk level, the paper also analyzes the change in landslide risk level and main risk control measures in China since 1990s. 7Toosendanin-induced change of dopamine level detected by microdialysis in vivo at rat striatum显示文摘To investigate the effect on central nervous transmission of toosendanin (TSN), a presynaptic blocker, rat striatum was perfused in vivo with a TSN-containing artificial cere-brospinal fluid (ACSF) and the level of dopamine (DA) as well as related metabolites in the collected dialysates has been determined by a microbore HPLC with electrochemical detection (mi-crobore HPLC-ECD). The results are as follows: ( i ) TSN induced a biphasic change of DA from its basal level;( ii ) the basal contents of two metabolites, 3,4-dihydroxyphenylacetic acid (DOPAC) and homovanillic acid (HVA) increased in turn and stayed at a higher level than basal control for a long period. The basal level of 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid (5-HIAA), a metabolite of 5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT), had a change similar to that of HVA; (iii) after per-fusion with TSN-containing ACSF, high K+-evoked DA release was inhibited. 8Nanopreparations for mitochondria targeting drug delivery system: Current strategies and future prospective显示文摘Mitochondria are a novel and promising therapeutic target for diagnosis, treatment and prevention of a lot of human diseases such as cancer, metabolic diseases and neurodegenerative disease. Owing to the mitochondrial special bilayer structure and highly negative potential nature, therapeutic molecules have multiple difficulties in reaching mitochondria. To overcome multiple barriers for targeting mitochondria, the researchers developed various pharmaceutical preparations such as liposomes, polymeric nanoparticles and inorganic nanoparticles modified by mitochondriotropic moieties like dequalinium (DQA),triphenylphosphonium (TPP), mitochondrial penetrating peptides (MPPs) and mitochondrial protein import machinery that allow specific targeting.The targeted formulations exhibited enhanced pharmacological effect and better therapeutic effect than their untargeted counterpart both in vitro and in vivo. 10Effect of annealing on two different niobium-clad stainless steel PEMFC bipolar plate materials显示文摘Niobium (Nb)-clad stainless steels(SS) produced via roll bonding are being considered for use in the bipolar plates of polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell(PEMFC) stacks. Because the roll bonding process induces substantial work hardening in the constituent materials, thermal annealing is used to restore ductility to the clad sheet so that it can be subsequently blanked, stamped and dimpled in forming the final plate component. Two roll bonded materials, niobium clad 340L stainless steel (Nb/340L SS) and niobium clad 434 stainless steel (Nb/434 SS) were annealed under optimized conditions prescribed by the cladding manufacturer. Comparative mechanical testing conducted on each material before and after annealing shows significant improvement in ductility in both cases. However, corresponding microstructural analyses indicate an obvious difference between the two heat treated materials. During annealing, an interlayer with thick less than 1 μm forms between the constituent layers in the Nb/340L SS, whereas no interlayer is found in the annealed Nb/434 SS material. Prior work suggests that internal defects potentially can be generated in such an interlayer during metal forming operations. 11Efficient Attribute-Based Encryption from R-LWE显示文摘Attribute-based encryption(ABE) has been an active research area in cryptography due to its attractive applications. But almost all attribute-based encryption schemes are based on bilinear maps, which leave them vulnerable to quantum cryptanalysis. The latticebased ABE schemes from the Learning with errors(LWE)have appeared, but they are not efficient enough for practical applications. Thus we propose an efficient attributebased encryption based on the Learning with errors over Rings(R-LWE), which is called ABE R-LWE. The security analysis shows that ABE R-LWE scheme is secure in the selective-set model under the R-LWE assumption, whose security can reduce to the hardness of the shortest vector problem in the worst case on ideal lattices. 12Safety and Efficacy of Physical Thermal Ablation Combined Sorafenib for Hepatocellular Carcinoma:A Meta-analysis显示文摘Background and Aims:To compare the efficacy and safety of physical thermal ablation(PTA),including radiofrequency ablation(RFA)and microwave ablation(MWA),combined with sorafenib and physical thermal ablation alone for the control and treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)according to the available literature.Methods:Comprehensive searches were performed on PubMed,Embase,CNKI,the Cochrane Library,China Biomedical Literature Database(known as CBM),Weipu Journal,and Wanfang Database.Meta-analysis was performed using Revman 5.3 software.Results:A total of 15 studies,consisting of 2,227 HCC patients,were selected and included in this meta-analysis.Compared with the RFA-alone group,the patients in the RFA+sorafenib group had longer 1-,2-,and 3-year overall survival(all p<0.05),better overall efficacy(p<0.0001),longer radiofrequency interval(p<0.001),and lower 2-year recurrence rate(p=0.02).The 1-year overall survival(p=0.003)and overall efficacy(p=0.002)of the MWA+sorafenib group were also higher than those of the MWA-alone group.The incidences of adverse reactions in the RFA+sorafenib group,such as hand-foot skin reactions(p<0.001),diarrhea and constipation(p=0.0001),hypertension(p=0.009),and alopecia(p<0.001),were significantly higher than those in the RFA-alone group.Conclusions:RFA or MWA combined with sorafenib has produced a better therapeutic effect on HCC than physical thermal ablation alone;however,adverse reactions have been obvious.It is necessary to evaluate the safety of combination therapy,and pay close attention to the adverse reactions that develop in patients.Mengdi Jin Qiong Yu Yahui Liu Weiling Xu Xueqi Fu Bai Ji 2021Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2021,9,2:6
13Techniques to resect the distal ureter in robotic/laparoscopic nephroureterectomy显示文摘Treatment of clinically-organ confined high grade urothelial carcinoma of the upper tract has historically comprised open nephroureterectomy,with the distal ureter and bladder cuff mobilized through a separate open pelvic incision.To decrease morbidity,urologists have increasingly adopted laparoscopy and robotics in performing nephroureterectomy.In many published series of laparoscopic nephroureterectomy,the distal ureter and bladder cuff are detached from the bladder endoscopically by a variation of the“pluck”technique,with the resulting bladder defect left to heal by prolonged indwelling urethral catheter drainage.While the distal ureter and bladder cuff can be excised laparoscopically,it does require advanced laparoscopic skills.With the wrist articulation and stereoscopic vision in robotic surgery,robotic nephroureterectomy(RNU)and bladder cuff excision can be performed in antegrade fashion to mimic the open technique together with the ability to intracorporeally close the bladder defect in a watertight,mucosa to mucosa fashion after excising the bladder cuff.In this review,we discuss the published minimally invasive techniques in resecting the distal ureter and bladder cuff during laparoscopic and RNU.Weil R.Lai Benjamin R.Lee 2016Asian Journal of Urology2016,3,3:6
14Geohazard Recognition and Inventory Mapping Using Airborne LiDAR Data in Complex Mountainous Areas显示文摘Geohazard recognition and inventory mapping are absolutely the keys to the establishment of reliable susceptibility and hazard maps. However, it has been challenging to implement geohazards recognition and inventory mapping in mountainous areas with complex topography and vegetation cover. Progress in the light detection and ranging(Li DAR) technology provides a new possibility for geohazard recognition in such areas. Specifically, this study aims to evaluate the performances of the Li DAR technology in recognizing geohazard in the mountainous areas of Southwest China through visually analyzing airborne Li DAR DEM derivatives. Quasi-3 D relief image maps are generated based on the sky-view factor(SVF), which makes it feasible to interpret precisely the features of geohazard. A total of 146 geohazards are remotely mapped in the entire 135 km^(2) study area in Danba County, Southwest China, and classified as landslide, rock fall, debris flow based on morphologic characteristics interpreted from SVF visualization maps. Field validation indicate the success rate of Li DAR-derived DEM in recognition and mapping geohazard with higher precision and accuracy. These mapped geohazards lie along both sides of the river, and their spatial distributions are related highly to human engineering activities, such as road excavation and slope cutting. The minimum geohazard that can be recognized in the 0.5 m resolution DEM is about 900 m^(2). Meanwhile, the SVF visualization method is demonstrated to be a great alternative to the classical hillshaded DEM method when it comes to the determination of geomorphological properties of geohazard. 16Sorption of Triton X-100 on soil organic matter fractions:Kinetics and isotherms显示文摘Kinetics and isotherms of Triton X-100 sorption on soil,base-extracted soil(BE),humic acid(HA) and humin(HM) were investigated respectively to get better understanding on characteristics of the surfactant sorption onto different soil organic matters(SOMs).It was demonstrated that the kinetics results could be satisfactorily described by the pseudo-second order model.The half of the time to reach equilibrium(t1/2) for different sorbents followed the sequence of soil > HA > BE > HM.Furthermore,the calculated equilibrium sorption capacity(Ceq) was found in the sequence of HA > BE > HM > soil,which agreed well with the experimental results.The isotherms of Triton X-100 sorption on soil and HA could be well described by the S-type isotherm,but BE and HM by the L-type.The isotherms of all the four sorbents were found reasonably fitted to the Langmuir equation.The Kd value,defined as the ratio of Triton X-100 in sorbent and in the equilibrium solution for given concentrations,generally followed the order of HM > HA > soil > BE.Separated HM and HA showed high affnity for Triton X-100,but the HA and HM in soil and BE were tightly bounded by the minerals.Thus,the HA on the soil surface might dominate the sorption,whereas the bounded HM would play a key role upon the surfactants being penetrated inside the soil.ZHANG Guangzhi HU Hao SUN Weiling NI Jinren 2009Journal of Environmental Sciences2009,21,6:6
17Effect of CeO_2 preparation method and Cu loading on CuO/CeO_2 catalysts for methane combustion显示文摘CeO2 was synthesized by sol-gel,hydrothermal,nitrate thermal decomposition methods,respectively,and used as support to prepare CuO/CeO2 catalysts. According to characterization and reaction results,preparation method of CeO2 had a great influence on the physicochemical properties and activities of CuO/CeO2 catalysts. CuO with high dispersion and strong interaction with CeO2 was highly active in methane combustion,while CuO particles less associated with CeO2 showed less activity. The CuO catalyst supported on CeO2 which was prepared via nitrate thermal decomposition method showed the largest area,the smallest particle size,the highest dispersion of copper species and strong support metal interactions. Therefore,it presented the highest redox ability and activity for methane combustion. Activities of the catalysts with different copper content kept increasing until 5% Cu loading and from then on kept constant. Moreover,methane conversion decreased as methane space velocities increased on CuO/CeO2 catalyst. 19Clinical characteristics and outcomes of patients with hepatic angiomyolipoma:A literature review显示文摘First reported in 1976,hepatic angiomyolipoma(HAML)is a rare mesenchymal liver tumor occurring mostly in middle-aged women.Diagnosis of the liver mass is often incidental on abdominal imaging due to the frequent absence of specific symptoms.Nearly 10%of HAMLs are associated with tuberous sclerosis complex.HAML contains variable proportions of blood vessels,smooth muscle cells and adipose tissue,which renders radiological diagnosis hazardous.Cells express positivity for HMB-45 and actin,thus these tumors are integrated into the group of perivascular epithelioid cell tumors.Typically,a HAML appears on magnetic resonance imaging(or computed tomography scan)as a hypervascular solid tumor with fatty areas and with washout,and can easily be misdiagnosed as other liver tumors,particularly hepatocellular carcinoma.The therapeutic strategy is not clearly defined,but surgical resection is indicated for symptomatic patients,for tumors showing an aggressive pattern(i.e.,changes in size on imaging or high proliferation activity and atypical epithelioid pattern on liver biopsy),for large(>5 cm)biopsy-proven HAML,and if doubts remain on imaging or histology.Conservative management may be justified in other conditions,since most cases follow a benign clinical course.In summary,the correct diagnosis of HAML is challenging on imaging and relies mainly on pathological findings.Paul Calame Gaelle Tyrode Delphine Weil Verhoeven Sophie Felix Anne Julia Klompenhouwer Vincent Di Martino Eric Delabrousse Thierry Thevenot 2021World Journal of Gastroenterology2021,27,19:5
20The evolution of integrative medical education: the influence of the University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine显示文摘The University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine(Az CIM) was founded in 1994 with a primary focus of educating physicians in integrative medicine(IM). Twenty years later, IM has become an internationally recognized movement in medicine. With 40% of United States' medical schools having membership in the Academic Consortium for Integrative Medicine and Health it is foreseeable that all medical students and residents will soon receive training in the principles and practices of IM. The Az CIM has the broadest range and depth of IM educational programs and has had a major infl uence on integrative medical education in the United States. This review describes the fellowship, residency and medical student programs at Az CIM as well as other signifi cant national drivers of IM education; it also points out the challenges faced in developing IM initiatives. The fi eld of IM has matured with new national board certifi cation in IM requiring fellowship training. Allied health professional IM educational courses, as well as integrative health coaching, assure that all members of the health care team can receive training.
