| 1 | Large-scale blow spinning of heat-resistant nanofibrous air filters显示文摘Particulate matter(PM)pollution has become a serious problem worldwide and various kinds of nanofibrous filters aiming to solve the problem have been developed.It is urgent to remove PM from high-temperature pollution sources,such as industrial emissions,coal furnaces,and automobile exhaust gases.However,filtration at pollution sources remains challenging because most existing air filters are not resistant to high temperature.Herein,heat-resistant polyimide(PI)nanofibrous air filters are fabricated via a simple and scalable solution blow-spinning method.These air filters show excellent thermal stability at high temperature up to 420℃.They exhibit a filtration efficiency as high as 99.73%at ambient temperature and over 97%at 300℃.In addition,a field test shows that the filters remove>97%of PM from the car exhaust fumes.Hence,the blow-spun PI nanofibrous membranes combined with the facile preparation strategy have great potential in high temperature air filtration fields and other similar applications such as water purification and protein separation. | Ziwei Li Jianan Song Yuanzheng Long Chao Jia Zhenglian Liu Lei Li Cheng Yang Junchen Liu Sen Lin Haiyang Wang Yibo Liu Minghao Fang Hui Wu | 2020 | Nano Research2020,13,3: | 6 |
| 2 | Drop casting based superhydrophobic and electrically conductive coating for high performance strain sensing显示文摘Conductive polymer composites(CPCs)strain sensors exhibit promising applications in flexible electronics,people’s health monitoring,etc.It remains a big challenge to develop a simple and cost-effective method to prepare CPCs with high conductivity,corrosion resistance,strong interfacial adhesion and high sensitivity.Here,we propose a facile“drop-casting and fluorination”strategy to fabricate superhydrophobic and highly electrically conductive coating by Ag precursor adsorption onto a commercially available elastic tape,subsequent chemical reduction and final fluorination.The Ag nanoparticles could not only construct the electrically conductive network but also greatly enhance the surface roughness.The contact angle and electrical conductivity of the coating can reach as high as 156°and 126 S/cm,respectively.When used for strain sensing,the superhydrophobic and conductive coating shows a high gauger factor(up to 7631 with the strain from 44%to 50%)and outstanding recyclability.The strain sensor could monitor different body joint motions with the stable and reliable sensing signals even after long time treatment in a corrosive solution. | Ling Wang Lisheng Wu Yuqing Wang Junchen Luo Huaiguo Xue Jiefeng Gao | 2022 | Nano Materials Science2022,4,2: | 2 |
| 3 | Comparison of dimension reduction-based logistic regression models for case-control genome-wide association study:principal components analysis vs.partial least squares显示文摘With recent advances in biotechnology, genome-wide association study(GWAS) has been widely used to identify genetic variants that underlie human complex diseases and traits. In case-control GWAS, typical statistical strategy is traditional logistical regression(LR) based on single-locus analysis. However, such a single-locus analysis leads to the well-known multiplicity problem, with a risk of inflating type I error and reducing power. Dimension reduction-based techniques, such as principal component-based logistic regression(PC-LR), partial least squares-based logistic regression(PLS-LR), have recently gained much attention in the analysis of high dimensional genomic data. However, the perfor?mance of these methods is still not clear, especially in GWAS. We conducted simulations and real data application to compare the type I error and power of PC-LR, PLS-LR and LR applicable to GWAS within a defined single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP) set region. We found that PC-LR and PLS can reasonably control type I error under null hypothesis.On contrast, LR, which is corrected by Bonferroni method, was more conserved in all simulation settings. In particular, we found that PC-LR and PLS-LR had comparable power and they both outperformed LR, especially when the causal SNP was in high linkage disequilibrium with genotyped ones and with a small effective size in simulation. | 11 | Ten-Hour Stable Noninvasive Brain-Computer Interface Realized by Semidry Hydrogel-Based Electrodes显示文摘Noninvasive brain computer interface(BCI)has been extensively studied from many aspects in the past decade.In order to broaden the practical applications of BCI technique,it is essential to develop electrodes for electroencephalogram(EEG)collection with advanced characteristics such as high conductivity,long term efectiveness,and biocompatibility.In this study,we devcloped a silver-nanowire/PVA hydrogc/mclamine sponge(AgPHMS)semidry EEG electrode for long lasting monitoring of EEG signal.Benefiting from the water storage capacity of PVA hydrogel,the clectrolyte solution can be continuously released to the scalpelctrode interface during used.The electrolyte solution can infiltrate the stratum corneum and reduce the scalp-electrode impedance to 10k0-15k0.The flexible structure enabls the electrode with mechanical stability,increases the wearing comfort,and reduces the scalp-electrode gap to reduce contact impedance.As a result,a long-term BCI application based on measurements of motion-onset visual evoked potentials(mVEPs)shows that the 3-hour BCI accuracy of the new electrode(77%to 100%)is approximately the same as that of conventional eletrodes supported by a conductive gel during the first hour.Furthermore,the BCI system based on the new electrode can retain low contact impedance for 10 hours on scalp,which greatly improved the ability of BCI technique. | Junchen Liu Sen Lin Wenzheng Li Yanzhen Zhao Dingkun Liu Zhaofeng He Dong Wang Ming Lei Bo Hong Hui Wu | 2022 | Research2022,,2: | 1 |

| 13 | A large-area AgNW-modified textile with high-performance electromagnetic interference shielding显示文摘Manufacturing a flexible,light,large-area,and high-efficiency electromagnetic shielding materials in a straightforward and cost-effective manner presently remains a significant challenge.In this work,we propose a conductive network design and verify its electromagnetic interference(EMI)shielding effectiveness(SE)by simulation.Using the structure and parameters obtained by simulation,we prepare a flexible EMI shielding material using silver nanowires(AgNWs)/polyvinyl butyral(PVB)ethanol solution and textile substructure via a facile immersing method.In the frequency range of 5-18 GHz,the AgNWs/PVB textile with 1.4 mm thickness achieves an EMI SE of 59 dB,which exceeds the requirements for commercial applications.Due to the low density of 56 mg/cm^(3),specific shielding effectiveness(SSE)of this material reaches 1053 dB m^(3)/g.It is found that the AgNWs/PVB textile is more resistant to washing with water and oxidation than AgNWs textile without a PVB protector.As a result,the conductivity of AgNWs/PVB textile exhibits no change after washing with water and varies slightly after being kept in hot air.We find that a signal monitor is unable to detect a signal emitted by a mobile phone from a jacket lined with AgNWs/PVB textile.AgNWs/PVB textile with these properties can be mass-produced as high-efficiency EMI shielding material for commercial applications. | Junchen Liu Sen Lin Kai Huang Chao Jia Qingmin Wang Ziwei Li Jianan Song Zhenglian Liu Haiyang Wang Ming Lei Hui Wu | 2020 | npj Flexible Electronics2020,4,1: | 0 |

| 19 | Two‑Level Biomimetic Designs Enable Intelligent Stress Dispersion for Super‑Foldable C/NiS Nanofiber Free‑Standing Electrode显示文摘Due to the lack of in-depth understanding about the folding issues of the electronic materials,it is a huge challenge to pre-pare a super-foldable and highly electrochemical faradic electrode.Here,inspired from from the fully nimble structures of cuit cocoons and cockscomb petals,with two-level biomimetic design,for the first time we prepared a super-foldable and electrochemically functional freestanding cathode,made of C-fiber@NiS-cockscomb(SFCNi).In virtue of its nimble biomi-metic structures,SFCNi can remarkably sustain over 100,000 times,repeated true-folding without composite fibers fracture,functional matters detachment,conductivity degradation,or electrochemical performance change.The main mechanism behind these behaviors was disclosed by Real-time scanning electron microscopy and mechanical simulations,on the folding process.Results unveil that the cockscomb-like NiS with atomic thickness can deform freely due to the need of bending,and the cuit-cocoon-like SFCNi can generate an“ε-shape”folding structure at the crease.Such a smart self-adaptive deforma-tion capability can effectively reduce the effect of stresses and local excessive deformations,so that the chemical bonds can preserve their interaction,and the material won’t fracture.This subtle and exceptional mechanical behavior realizes a super-foldable property.The two-level biomimetic design strategy is a novel method for fabrication of super-foldable composite electrodes and integrated multi-functional super-foldable devices. | Guangtao Zan Tong Wu Wenya Dong Junchen Zhou Teng Tu Ruoxuan Xu Yun Chen Ying Wang Qingsheng Wu | 2022 | Advanced Fiber Materials2022,4,5: | 0 |
| 20 | Progress of MJO Prediction at CMA from Phase I to Phase II of the Sub-Seasonal to Seasonal Prediction Project显示文摘As one of the participants in the Subseasonal to Seasonal(S2S)Prediction Project,the China Meteorological Administration(CMA)has adopted several model versions to participate in the S2S Project.This study evaluates the models’capability to simulate and predict the Madden-Julian Oscillation(MJO).Three versions of the Beijing Climate Center Climate System Model(BCC-CSM)are used to conduct historical simulations and re-forecast experiments(referred to as EXP1,EXP1-M,and EXP2,respectively).In simulating MJO characteristics,the newly-developed high-resolution BCC-CSM outperforms its predecessors.In terms of MJO prediction,the useful prediction skill of the MJO index is enhanced from 15 days in EXP1 to 22 days in EXP1-M,and further to 24 days in EXP2.Within the first forecast week,the better initial condition in EXP2 largely contributes to the enhancement of MJO prediction skill.However,during forecast weeks 2–3,EXP2 shows little advantage compared with EXP1-M because the increased skill at MJO initial phases 6–7 is largely offset by the degraded skill at MJO initial phases 2–3.Particularly at initial phases 2–3,EXP1-M skillfully captures the wind field and Kelvin-wave response to MJO convection,leading to the highest prediction skill of the MJO.Our results reveal that,during the participation of the CMA models in the S2S Project,both the improved model initialization and updated model physics played positive roles in improving MJO prediction.Future efforts should focus on improving the model physics to better simulate MJO convection over the Maritime Continent and further improve MJO prediction at long lead times. | Junchen YAO Xiangwen LIU Tongwen WU Jinghui YAN Qiaoping LI Weihua JIE | 2023 | Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2023,40,10: | 0 |
