1Estimation of genetic parameters and breeding values in shrimp F enneropenaeus chinensis using the REML/BLUP procedure显示文摘An analysis of a selection experiment was used to assess the impact of various animal model structures on REML estimates of variance components.The analyses were carried out based on 162 d body mass (BM) of 1 287 animals from 21 paternal half-sib groups of Fenneropenaeus chinensis.Estimated breeding values (EBV) of BM of all individuals were estimated using eight statistical models (A,AB,ABC,ABDC,ABMFC,ABMDC,ABFDC and ABMFDC) and BLUP (best linear unbiased prediction).These models were designed involving factors such as sex,spawn date as fixed effects,maternal genetic effects,full-sib family effects as random effects,mean BM of families at tagging and age at recording (covariate).The results demonstrate the importance of correct interpretation of effects in the data set,particularly those that can influence resemblance between relatives.The data structure and the particular model that was applied markedly influenced the magnitude of variance component estimates.Models based on few effects obtained upward biased estimates of additive genetic variance.The accuracy of genetic parameters and breeding value estimated by ABFDC model was higher than other models.The results imply that additive genetic direct value,full-sib family effects,and covariance effects besides sex and spawn date as fixed effects were very important for estimating genetic parameters and breeding value of body mass.This model had a heritability estimate of 162 d BM of 0.44.The comparison of the efficiency of selection based on breeding values or phenotypic value revealed great difference:average breeding value of the best 24 families selected by the 162 d BM breeding value and phenotype were 0.577 g and 0.366 g,respectively,representing a 36.57% higher efficiency in the former.In conclusion,selection based on breeding value was more effective than selection based on phenotypic value.Our results indicate that effects influencing the magnitude of estimates should be taken into account when estimating heritability and breeding values for BM.ZHANG Tianshi KONG Jie LUAN Sheng WANG Qingyin LUO Kun TIAN Yia 2011Acta Oceanologica Sinica2011,30,1:12
2Genetic parameter estimation for juvenile growth and upper thermal tolerance in turbot(Scophthalmus maximus Linnaeus)显示文摘Twenty-six half-sib groups(53 full-sib families) of turbot, Scophthalmus maximus Linnaeus, were obtained by artificial insemination. We measured growth in the offspring(40–50 individuals/family) and subjected them to a thermal tolerance challenge over a period of 34 d. There was no significant difference in daily mortality(range: 0.580%–1.391%) between Days 1–13 during the thermal tolerance challenge. However, daily cumulative mortality increased rapidly between Days 14 and 29, especially on Days 15 and 16(20.232% and 34.377%, respectively). Mortality was highest on Day 16(14.145%). We estimated the genetic parameters using the average information restricted maximum likelihood method. We used a likelihood ratio test to evaluate the significance of effects in models with and without identity as an effect, and compared the final log-likelihoods(maximum log L). Lastly, we estimated phenotypic and genetic correlation between the upper thermal tolerance limit(UTT) and body weight(BW). In this study, the positive phenotypic correlation was low between UTT and BW(0.093±0.029). The genetic correlation between UTT and BW was negative(-0.044±0.239). The heritability for upper thermal tolerance was low(0.087±0.032), which is of approximately moderate heritability. The heritability for body weight was high(0.303±0.074). 4The development of blood-retinal barrier during the interaction of astrocytes with vascular wall cells显示文摘Astrocytes are intimately involved in the formation and development of retinal vessels.Astrocyte dysfunction is a major cause of blood-retinal barrier injury and other retinal vascular diseases.In this study,the development of the retinal vascular system and the formation of the blood-retinal barrier in mice were investigated using immunofluorescence staining,gelatin-ink perfusion,and transmission electron microscopy.The results showed that the retinal vascular system of mice develops from the optic disc after birth,and radiates out gradually to cover the entire retina,taking the papilla optica as the center.First,the superficial vasculature is formed on the inner retinal layer; then,the vasculature extends into the inner and outer edges of the retinal inner nuclear layer,forming the deep vasculature that is parallel to the superficial vasculature.The blood-retinal barrier is mainly composed of endothelium,basal lamina and the end-feet of astrocytes,which become mature during mouse development.Initially,the naive endothelial cells were immature with few organelles and many microvilli.The basal lamina was uniform in thickness,and the glial end-feet surrounded the outer basal lamina incompletely.In the end,the blood-retinal barrier matures with smooth endothelia connected through tight junctions,relatively thin and even basal lamina,and relatively thin glial cell end-feet.These findings indicate that the development of the vasculature in the retina follows the rules of 'center to periphery' and 'superficial layer to deep layers'.Its development and maturation are spatially and temporally consistent with the functional performance of retinal neurons and photosensitivity.The blood-retinal barrier gradually becomes mature via the process of interactions between astrocytes and blood vessel cells.Huanling Yao Tianshi Wang Jiexin Deng Ding Liu Xiaofei Li Jinbo Deng 2014Neural Regeneration Research2014,9,10:6

7Recent Advances in Two-Dimensional Magnets:Physics and Devices towards Spintronic Applications显示文摘The emergence of low-dimensional nanomaterials has brought revolutionized development of magnetism,as the size effect can significantly influence the spin arrangement.Since the first demonstration of truly two-dimensional magnetic materials(2DMMs)in 2017,a wide variety of magnetic phases and associated properties have been exhibited in these 2DMMs,which offer a new opportunity to manipulate the spin-based devices efficiently in the future.Herein,we focus on the recent progress of 2DMMs and heterostructures in the aspects of their structural characteristics,physical properties,and spintronic applications.Firstly,the microscopy characterization of the spatial arrangement of spins in 2D lattices is reviewed.Afterwards,the optical probes in the light-matter-spin interactions at the 2D scale are discussed.Then,particularly,we systematically summarize the recent work on the electronic and spintronic devices of 2DMMs.In the section of electronic properties,we raise several exciting phenomena in 2DMMs,i.e.,long-distance magnon transport,field-effect transistors,varying magnetoresistance behavior,and(quantum)anomalous Hall effect.In the section of spintronic applications,we highlight spintronic devices based on 2DMMs,e.g.,spin valves,spin-orbit torque,spin field-effect transistors,spin tunneling field-effect transistors,and spin-filter magnetic tunnel junctions.At last,we also provide our perspectives on the current challenges and future expectations in this field,which may be a helpful guide for theorists and experimentalists who are exploring the optical,electronic,and spintronic properties of 2DMMs.Vertikasari PNingrum Bowen Liu Wei Wang Yao Yin Yi Cao Chenyang Zha Hongguang Xie Xiaohong Jiang Yan Sun Sichen Qin Xiaolong Chen Tianshi Qin Chao Zhu Lin Wang Wei Huang 2020Research2020,,1:2
8Handheld optical coherence tomography device for photodynamic therapy显示文摘Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a very effective treatment for port wine stains (PWS). To guide and assess PDT treatment, a handheld optical coherence tomography (OCT) probe was designed for real-time imaging of the PWS patient. The system uses a light source with a center wavelength of 1310 nm, -3 dB bandwidth of 90 nm and an optical power of 9 mW. The system also has a spatial resolution of 8 μm (lateral) × 7 μm (axial), an imaging rate of 4 frames per second, and a 102 dB sensitivity. We then demonstrate that the OCT imaging system can clearly distinguish between normal and PWS tissues. 14A family of oligo(p-phenylenevinylene)derivative aggregation-induced emission probes:Ultrasensitive,rapid,and anti-interfering fluorescent sensing of perchlorate via precise alkyl chain length modulation显示文摘The precise regulation of interactions provided by aggregation-induced emission(AIE)probes is of considerable significance for improving the sensing performance in the field of on-site detection.Here,a highly sensitive perchlorate detection probe was designed by precisely modulating the van der Waals interactions by adjusting the length of the alkyl chain.The optimized AIE probe demonstrated superior perchlorate detection performance owing to its strong van der Waals interactions with perchlorate,including a low detection limit(53.81 nM),rapid response(<5 s),and excellent specificity even in the presence of 16 interfering anions.In addition,a hydrogel-based device loaded with the probe was constructed to achieve ultrasensitive recognition of perchlorate particles with a detection limit as low as 15 fg under a fluorescence microscope.Moreover,the practicality of the probe was further verified by employing a sensing chip in a portable detector,and thus the probe has been proven to be highly promising for trace perchlorate monitoring in real scenarios.We expect the present study to be of great value for the efficient design of high-performance fluorescent probes.Fangfang Xiao Yushu Li Jiguang Li Da Lei Guangfa Wang Tianshi Zhang Xiaoyun Hu Xincun Dou 2023Aggregate2023,4,2:0

16Three-in-one fire-retardant poly(phosphate)-based fast ion-conductor for all-solid-state lithium batteries显示文摘The development of flame retardant or nonflammable electrolytes is the key to improve the safety of lithium batteries,owing to inflammable organic solvents and polymer matrix in common liquid and polymer electrolytes regarded as the main cause of battery fire.Herein,a series of solid-state polyphosphate oligomers(SPPO)as a three-in-one electrolyte that integrated the roles of lithium salt,dissociation matrix,and flame retardant were synthesized.The well-designed SPPO electrolytes showed an optimal ionic conductivity of 5.5×10^(-4)S cm-1at 30℃,an acceptable electrochemical window up to 4.0 V vs.Li/Li+,and lithium ion transference number of 0.547.Stable Li-ion stripping/plating behavior for 500 h of charge-discharge cycles without internal short-circuit in a Li|SPPO|Li cell was confirmed,together with outstanding interface compatibility between the SPPO electrolyte and lithium foil.The optimal Li|SPPO|LiFePO4cell presented good reversible discharge capacity of 149.4 mA h g-1at 0.1 C and Coulombic efficiency of 96.4%after 120 cycles.More importantly,the prepared SPPO cannot be ignited by the lighter fire and show a limited-oxygen-index value as high as 35.5%,indicating splendid nonflammable nature.The SPPO could be a promising candidate as a three-in-one solid-state electrolyte for the improved safety of rechargeable lithium batteries.Jiaying Xie Sibo Qiao Yuyang Wang Jiefei Sui Lixia Bao He Zhou Tianshi Li Jiliang Wang 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,5:0
17Organic fast ion-conductor with ordered Li-ion conductive nano-pathways and high ionic conductivity for electrochemical energy storage显示文摘Solid electrolyte(SE)is the most crucial factor to fabricate safe and high-performance all-solid-state lithium-ion batteries.However,the most commonly reported SE,including solid polymer electrolyte(SPE)and inorganic oxides and sulfides,suffer problems of low ionic conductivity at room temperature for SPE and large interfacial impedance with electrodes for inorganic electrolytes.Here we for the first time demonstrate a novel ionic plastic crystal lithium salt solid electrolyte(OLiSSE)fast ion-conductor dilithium(1,3-diethyl-4,5-dicarboxylate)imidazole bromide with ordered Li-ion conductive nanopathways and an exceptional ionic conductivity of 4.4×10^(−3)Scm^(−1)at 30℃.The prepared OLiSSE exhibits apparent characters of typical ionic plastic crystals in the temperature range of−20 to 70℃,and shows remarkable thermal stability and electrochemical stability below 150℃ and 4.7 V,respectively.No lithium dendrite or short circuit behavior is detected for the Li|OLiSSE|Li cell after the galvanostatic charge-discharge test for 500 h.The fabricated Li|OLiSSE|LiFePO_(4) all-solid-state cell without using any separator and liquid plasticizer directly delivers an initial discharge capacity of 151.4 mAh g^(−1) at the discharge rate of 0.1 C,and shows excellent charge-discharge cycle stability,implying large potential application in the next generation of safe and flexible all-solid-state lithium batteries.Yibin Yang He Zhou Jiaying Xie Lixia Bao Tianshi Li Jingxin Lei Jiliang Wang 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,3:0
18A Micromotor Catheter for Intravascular Optical Coherence Tomography显示文摘We have developed a new form of intravascular optical coherence tomography(IV-OCT) that allows the extremely fast acquisition of high-resolution images of the coronary arteries.This process leads to much better image quality by eliminating cardiac motion artefacts and undersampling.It relies on a catheter that incorporates a synchronous micromotor with a diameter of 1.0 mm and a rotational speed of up to5600 revolutions per second,enabling an IV-OCT frame rate of 5.6 kHz.This speed is matched by a wavelength-swept laser that generates up to 2.8 million image lines per second.With this setup,our team achieved IV-OCT imaging of up to5600 frames per second(fps) in vitro and 4000 fps in vivo,deployed at a 100 mm·s^(-1) pullback velocity.The imaging session is triggered by the electrocardiogram of the subject,and can scan a coronary artery in the phase of the heartbeat where the heart is at rest,providing a name for this new technology:the 'Heartbeat OCT.'Tianshi Wang Gijs van Soest Antonius F.W.van der Steen 2015Engineering2015,1,1:0
19One-Dimensional(NH=CINH_(3))_(3)PbI_(5)Perovskite for Ultralow Power Consumption Resistive Memory显示文摘Organic-inorganic hybrid perovskites(OIHPs)have proven to be promising active layers for nonvolatile memories because of their rich abundance in earth,mobile ions,and adjustable dimensions.However,there is a lack of investigation on controllable fabrication and storage properties of one-dimensional(1D)OIHPs.Here,the growth of 1D(NH=CINH_(3))_(3)PbI_(5)((IFA)_(3)PbI_(5))perovskite and related resistive memory properties are reported.The solution-processed 1D(IFA)_(3)PbI_(5)crystals are of welldefined monoclinic crystal phase and needle-like shape with the length of about 6 mm.They exhibit a wide bandgap of 3 eV and a high decomposition temperature of 206℃.Moreover,the(IFA)_(3)PbI_(5)films with good uniformity and crystallization were obtained using a dual solvent of N,N-dimethylformamide(DMF)and dimethyl sulfoxide(DMSO).To study the intrinsic electric properties of this anisotropic material,we constructed the simplest memory cell composed of only Au/(IFA)_(3)PbI_(5)/ITO,contributing to a high-compacted device with a crossbar array device configuration.The resistive random access memory(ReRAM)devices exhibit bipolar current-voltage(I-V)hysteresis characteristics,showing a record-low power consumption of~0.2 mW among all OIHP-based memristors.Moreover,our devices own the lowest power consumption and“set”voltage(0.2 V)among the simplest perovskite-based memory devices(inorganic ones are also included),which are no need to require double metal electrodes or any additional insulating layer.They also demonstrate repeatable resistance switching behaviour and excellent retention time.We envision that 1D OIHPs can enrich the low-dimensional hybrid perovskite library and bring new functions to low-power information devices in the fields of memory and other electronics applications.Xuefen Song Hao Yin Qing Chang Yuchi Qian Chongguang Lyu Huihua Min Xinrong Zong Chao Liu Yinyu Fang Zhengchun Cheng Tianshi Qin Wei Huang Lin Wang 2021Research2021,,1:0
20Hole-Transporting Low-Dimensional Perovskite for EnhancingPhotovoltaic Performance显示文摘Halide perovskites with low-dimensionalities(2D or quasi-2D)have demonstrated outstanding stabilities compared to their 3D counterparts.Nevertheless,poor charge-transporting abilities of organic components in 2D perovskites lead to relatively low power conversion efficiency(PCE)and thus limit their applications in photovoltaics.Here,we report a novel hole-transporting low-dimensional(HT2D)perovskite,which can form a hole-transporting channel on the top surface of 3D perovskite due to self-assembly effects of metal halide frameworks.This HT2D perovskite can significantly reduce interface trap densities and enhance hole-extracting abilities of a heterojunction region between the 3D perovskite and hole-transporting layer.Furthermore,the posttreatment by HT2D can also reduce the crystal defects of perovskite and improve film morphology.As a result,perovskite solar cells(PSCs)can effectively suppress nonradiative recombination,leading to an increasement on photovoltage to>1.20 V and thus achieving>20%power conversion efficiency and>500 h continuous illumination stability.This work provides a pathway to overcome charge-transporting limitations in low-dimensional perovskites and delivers significant enhancements on performance of PSCs.Fangfang Wang Qing Chang Yikai Yun Sizhou Liu You Liu Jungan Wang Yinyu Fang Zhengchun Cheng Shanglei Feng Lifeng Yang Yingguo Yang Wei Huang Tianshi Qin 2021Research2021,,1:0
