1Selenium and the Thioredoxin and Glutaredoxin Systems显示文摘Thioredoxin (Trx) is a small ubiquitous dithiol protein which together with the FADcontaining enzyme thioredoxin reductase (TR) and NADPH (the Trx system) is a hydrogen donor for ribonucleotide reductase essential for DNA synthesis and a general protein disulfide reductase involved in redox regulation. Selenite, selenodiglutathione (GS-Se-SG) and selenocystine are efficiently reduced by thioredoxins and also directly by NADPH and mammalian TR but not by the E. coli enzyme. Incubation of selenite or GS-Se-SG with the Trx system or with mammalian TR results in a rapid formation of selenide, which by redox cycling with oxygen may cause a large non-stoichiometric oxidation of NADPH. Selenocystine is efficiently reduced into two molecules of the selenol amino acid selenocysteine by mammalian TR with a Km-value (6μmol·L-1 ) and a high turnover number (kcat, 3200 min-1) almost identical to the natural substrate Trx-S2. TR also directly reduces lipid hydroperoxides and this peroxidase reaction is strongly stimulated by the presence of catalytic amounts of free selenocysteine. Glutaredoxin (Grx) which catalyzes GSH dependent disulfide reduction also via a redox-active disulfide and Trx are both efficient electron donors to the hut-nan plasrna glutathione peroxidase providing a mechanism by which human plasma glutathione peroxidase may reduce hydroperoxides in an environment almost free from glutathione. Selenate is reduced by Grx and Trx in the presence of GSH. The DNA-binding of the transcription factor AP-1 is strongly inhibited by GS-Se-SG and selenite. Furtherrnore, selenide formed by TR-mediated reduction of selenite and GS-Se-SG inhibits lipoxygenase and changes the electron spin resonance spectrum of the active site iron. Mammalian TR with two subunits of 57 kDa has recently been cloned and shown to be homologous to glutathione reductase. The rat enzyme contains a selenocysteine residue in a unique Cterminal position and a conserved SEClS sequence directing insertion of the selenocysteine. 2An emerging threat Fileless malware:a survey and research challenges显示文摘With the evolution of cybersecurity countermeasures,the threat landscape has also evolved,especially in malware from traditional file-based malware to sophisticated and multifarious fileless malware.Fileless malware does not use traditional executables to carry-out its activities.So,it does not use the file system,thereby evading signature-based detection system.The fileless malware attack is catastrophic for any enterprise because of its persistence,and power to evade any anti-virus solutions.The malware leverages the power of operating systems,trusted tools to accomplish its malicious intent.To analyze such malware,security professionals use forensic tools to trace the attacker,whereas the attacker might use anti-forensics tools to erase their traces.This survey makes a comprehensive analysis of fileless malware and their detection techniques that are available in the literature.We present a process model to handle fileless malware attacks in the incident response process.In the end,the specific research gaps present in the proposed process model are identified,and associated challenges are highlighted.Sudhakar Sushil Kumar 2020Cybersecurity2020,3,1:4
3Molecular docking studies of anti-cancerous candidates in Hippophae rhamnoides and Hippophae salicifolia显示文摘Actinorhizal plants contain numerous antioxidants that may play a crucial role in preventing the formation of tumors.H-Ras p21,a member of the Ras-GTPase family,is a promising target to treat various kinds of cancers.An in silico docking study was carried out to identify the inhibitory potential of compounds of these plants against H-Ras by using Discovery Studio 3.5 and by using Autodock 4.2.Docking studies revealed that four compounds,isorhamnetin-7-rhamnoside,quercetin-3-glucoside-7-rhamnoside(present in H.rhamnoides),zeaxanthin,and translutein(present in H.salicifolia) significantly bind with binding energies-17.1534,-14.7936,-10.2105 and-17.2217 Kcal/mol,respectively,even though they slightly deviate from Lipinski's rule.Absorption,distribution,metabolism,excretion and toxicity(ADME/tox) analyses of these compounds and their stereoisomers showed that they were less toxic and non-mutagenic.Amongst them,isorhamntein-7-rhamnoside showed hepatotoxicity.Hence,these compounds can be further investigated in vivo to optimize their formulation and concentration and to develop potential chemical entities for the prevention and treatment of cancers.Talambedu Usha Sushil Kumar Middha Arvind Kumar Goyal Mahesh Karthik DA Manoj Syed Faizan Peyush Goyal HP Prashanth Veena Pande 2014The Journal of Biomedical Research2014,28,5:3

5Pediatric vs adult pulmonary tuberculosis:A retrospective computed tomography study显示文摘AIM: To compare the manifestations of chest tuberculosis(TB) in pediatric and adult patients based on contrast enhanced computed tomography of chest.METHODS: This was a retrospective study consisting of 152 patients of chest TB including 48 children and 104 adults who had undergone contrast enhanced computed tomography of chest prior to treatment. The patterns and severity of parenchymal, mediastinal and pleural manifestations were analyzed and compared among different age groups.RESULTS: Parenchymal changes observed include consolidation, air space nodules, miliary TB, cavitation, bronchiectasis and fibrosis and these were noted in 60% of children, 71% of adolescents and 76.9% of adults. These changes were more common in right upper lobe in all age groups. There was no significant difference in the frequency of these changes(except nodules) in different age groups. Centrilobular nodules were seen less commonly in children less than 10 years(P = 0.028). Pleural effusion was noted in 28(18.42%) patients and pericardial effusion in 8(5.3%) patients. No significant difference in the serosal involvement is seen among children and adults. Mediastinal adenopathy was seen 70% of children, 76.3% adolescents and 76.9% of adults and paratracheal nodes were seen most frequently. Nodes had similar features(except matting) among all age groups. Matting of nodes was seen more commonly in children(P = 0.014). CONCLUSION: Pediatric chest tuberculosis can have severe parenchymal lesions and nodal involvement similar to adults. 6克拉霉素治疗慢性鼻-鼻窦炎的临床效果及安全性评价显示文摘目的研究慢性鼻-鼻窦炎(CRS)患者行克拉霉素治疗的临床效果。方法选择2019年1月~2019年12月间襄阳市第一人民医院收治的84例CRS患者,采用随机数表法分为观察组(克拉霉素)与对照组(鼻用激素布地奈德)各42例,比较两组白细胞介素-6(IL-6)、肿瘤坏死因子-α(TNF-α)、血清总IgE(TIgE)、嗜酸粒细胞阳离子蛋白(ECP)水平及有效率。结果与对照组比较,观察组IL-6、TNF-α、TIgE及ECP值较低;观察组有效率高于对照组(P<0.05)。结论克拉霉素治疗CRS患者能提高整体疗效、稳定病情,缓解不适,值得临床应用。SAH SUSHIL KUMAR 2021中华养生保健2021,39,1:2
