| 1 | GC/GCMS analysis of the petroleum ether and dichloromethane extracts of Moringa oleifera roots显示文摘Objective:To explore the phytochemical constituents from petroleum ether and diehloromethane extracts of Moringa oleifera(M.oleufera)roots using GC/GC—MS.Methods:A total of 5.11 kg fresh and undried crashed root of M.oleifera were cut into small pieces and extracted with petroleum ether and diehloromethane(20 L.each) at room temperature for 2 d.The concentrated extracts were subjected to their GC—MS analysis.Results:The GC-MS analysis of the petroleum ether and diehloromethane extracts of M.oleifern roots,which showed promising biological activities,has resulted in the identification 102 compounds.These constituents belong to 15 classes of compounds including hydrocarbons,fatty acids,esters,alcohols,isolhioeyanate.thiocyanale,pyrazine,aromalics.alkamides.cyanides,steroids,halocompounds.urea and N-hydroxyimine derivatives,unsaturated alkenamides.alkyne and indole.GC/GC-MS studies on petroleum ether extraet of the roots revealed that it contained 39 compounds,belonging to nine classes.Cyclooctasulfur S8 has been isolated as a pure compound from the extract.The major compounds identified from petroleum ether extract were trans-13-clocosene(37.9%).nonacosane(32.6%).cycloartenol(28.6%) nonadecanoic acid(13.9%) and cyclooctasulfur S8(13.9%).Dichloromethane extract of the roots was composed of 63 compounds of which nasimizinol(58.8%) along with oleic acid(46.5%),N—benzyl-N-(7—cyanato heptanamide(38.3%),N—benzyl-N—(1—chlorononyl) amide(30.3%),bis[3—benzyl prop-2-ene]-1-one(19.5%) and N.N-dibeuzyl—2-ene pent 1.5—diamide(11.6%) were the main constituents.Conclusions:This study helps to predict the formula and structure of active molecules which can be used as drugs.This result also enhances the traditional usage of M.oleifera which possesses a number of bioactive compounds. | Shaheen Faizi saima sumbul Muhammed Ali Versiani Rubeena Saleem Aisha Sana Hira Siddiqui | 2014 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2014,4,8: | 2 |
| 2 | A comprehensive overview of cotton genomics,biotechnology and molecular biological studies显示文摘Cotton is an irreplaceable economic crop currently domesticated in the human world for its extremely elongated fiber cells specialized in seed epidermis,which makes it of high research and application value.To date,numerous research on cotton has navigated various aspects,from multi-genome assembly,genome editing,mechanism of fiber development,metabolite biosynthesis,and analysis to genetic breeding.Genomic and 3D genomic studies reveal the origin of cotton species and the spatiotemporal asymmetric chromatin structure in fibers.Mature multiple genome editing systems,such as CRISPR/Cas9,Cas12(Cpf1)and cytidine base editing(CBE),have been widely used in the study of candidate genes affecting fiber development.Based on this,the cotton fiber cell development network has been preliminarily drawn.Among them,the MYB-b HLH-WDR(MBW)transcription factor complex and IAA and BR signaling pathway regulate the initiation;various plant hormones,including ethylene,mediated regulatory network and membrane protein overlap fine-regulate elongation.Multistage transcription factors targeting Ces A 4,7,and 8 specifically dominate the whole process of secondary cell wall thickening.And fluorescently labeled cytoskeletal proteins can observe real-time dynamic changes in fiber development.Furthermore,research on the synthesis of cotton secondary metabolite gossypol,resistance to diseases and insect pests,plant architecture regulation,and seed oil utilization are all conducive to finding more high-quality breeding-related genes and subsequently facilitating the cultivation of better cotton varieties.This review summarizes the paramount research achievements in cotton molecular biology over the last few decades from the above aspects,thereby enabling us to conduct a status review on the current studies of cotton and provide strong theoretical support for the future direction. | Xingpeng Wen Zhiwen Chen Zuoren Yang Maojun Wang Shuangxia Jin Guangda Wang Li Zhang Lingjian Wang Jianying Li Sumbul Saeed Shoupu He Zhi Wang Kun Wang Zhaosheng Kong Fuguang Li Xianlong Zhang Xiaoya Chen Yuxian Zhu | 2023 | Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,10: | 2 |

| 10 | Correlation of umbilical cord blood pH,base deficit,and lactate levels with outcomes of hypoxic newborns:A prospective study显示文摘Objective:To determine the association of the three umbilical cord blood parameters:umbilical cord pH,base deficit,and lactate levels,with neonatal outcomes.Methods:This prospective observational study was conducted from April 2021 to September 2022 with 100 term and late preterm(>35 weeks)neonates whose umbilical cord blood pH was<7.10,Apgar score was<7 at 1 min,and required positive pressure ventilation.Umbilical cord blood was assessed for pH,base deficit,and blood lactate levels.The neonatal outcomes of neonatal intensive care unit admission,Apgar score at 1 min,and Apgar score at 5 min were assessed.Results:The mean of umbilical cord blood pH was 7.04±0.07,mean base deficit was(−9.3±3.9)mmol/L,and mean lactate levels were(6.51±2.29)mmol/L.Neonatal intensive care unit(NICU)admission was needed in 78(78%)neonates.The mean NICU stay length was(2.4±2.2)days ranging from 0 to 12 days with a median of 2 days.Univariate analysis showed no significant difference in cord blood pH(P=0.736)and base deficit(P=0.393)between neonates without NICU admission and neonates who required NICU admission,but lactate level was significantly higher in neonates who required NICU admission(P<0.001).There was no significant difference in cord blood pH(P=0.400)and base deficit(P>0.999)between neonates with Apgar scores 4-7 at 1 min and neonates with Apgar scores<4,but lactate level was significantly higher in neonates with Apgar scores<4 at 1 min(P<0.001).Conclusions:Umbilical cord blood pH,base deficit,and lactate levels are useful novel markers showing a significant correlation with neonatal intensive care unit admission and adverse neonatal morbidities among hypoxic newborns.Overall,lactate was a better predictor of adverse neonatal outcomes as compared to umbilical cord blood pH and base deficit. | Sumbul Qamar Mohd Ayub Ansari J.N.Mohapatra Sana Salim Khan | 2023 | Journal of Acute Disease2023,12,3: | 0 |
