1Study of Temperature Distribution Along an Artificially Polluted Insulator String显示文摘Insulator becomes wet partially or completely, and the pollution layer on it becomes conductive, when collecting pollutants for an extended period during dew, light rain, mist, fog or snow melting. Heavy rain is a complicated factor that it may wash away the pollution layer without initiating other stages of breakdown or it may bridge the gaps between sheds to promote flashover.The insulator with a conducting pollution layer being energized, can cause a surface leakage current to flow (also temperature-rise). As the surface conductivity is non-uniform, the conducting pollution layer becomes broken by dry bands (at spots of high current density), interrupting the flow of leakage current. Voltage across insulator gets concentrated across dry bands, and causes high electric stress and breakdown (dry band arcing). 2Characterization of hepatic progenitors from human fetal liver during second trimester显示文摘AIM: To enrich hepatic progenitors using epithelial cell adhesion molecule (EpCAM) as a marker from human fetal liver and investigate the expression of human leukocyte antigen (HLA) and their markers associated with hepatic progenitor cells. METHODS: EpCAM +ve cells were isolated using magnetic cell sorting (MACS) from human fetuses (n = 10) at 15-25 wk gestation. Expression of markers for hepatic progenitors such as albumin, alpha-fetoprotein (AFP), CD29 (integrin β1), CD49f (integrin α6) and CD90 (Thy 1) was studied by using flow cytometry, immunocytochemistry and RT-PCR; HLA class Ⅰ (A, B, C) and class Ⅱ (DR) expression was studied by flow cytometry only. RESULTS: FACS analysis indicated that EpCAM +ve cells were positive for CD29, CD49f, CD90, CD34, HLA class Ⅰ, albumin and AFP but negative for HLA class Ⅱ (DR) and CD45. RT PCR showed that EpCAM +ve cells expressed liver epithelial markers (CK18), biliary specific marker (CK19) and hepatic markers (albumin, AFP). On immunocytochemical staining, EpCAM +ve cells were shown positive signals for CK18 and albumin. 3Flotation studies on low grade graphite ore from eastern India显示文摘A low grade graphite ore from eastern India was beneficiated by flotation to improve its quality. The ore was composed of 87.80% ash and 8.59% fixed carbon. Primary coarse wet grinding(d80: 186 lm) followed by rougher flotation in Denver flotation cell using diesel as collector and pine oil as frother yielded a rougher concentrate. Regrinding(d80: 144 lm) of this rougher concentrate was opted for further liberation of graphite. It was followed by cleaning in laboratory flotation column. This combined process of relatively coarse primary grinding followed by regrinding and cleaning in flotation column resulted in final concentrate of 7.44% yield with 89.65% fixed carbon and 6.00% ash. This approach of two-stage grinding to recover the flake graphite at the coarsest possible grind can help to minimize grinding energy costs. 4Low velocity impact studies of E-glass/epoxy composite laminates at different thicknesses and temperatures显示文摘Low velocity impact experiments were carried out on E-glass/epoxy composite laminates having varying thicknesses at sub zero and elevated temperatures using hemi spherical steel impactor of 16 mm diameter with impact energies in the rage of 50-150 J.The performance of the laminates was assessed in terms of energy absorption,maximum displacement,peak force and failure behaviour.Results indicated that the effect of temperature on energy absorption of the laminate is negligible although the laminates are embrittling at sub zero temperatures.However it has influence on failure behaviour and displacement.Peak force has increased linearly with increase in laminate thickness from 5 to 10 mm.However it got reduced by 25% when temperature was increased from-20℃ to 100℃,Based on experimental results,laminate perforation energies were predicted using curve fitting equations.Statistical analysis was carried out using Taguchi method to identify the global effects of various parameters on laminate performance and confirmed that the laminate thickness has significant influence as compared to temperature,for the studied range.T.Sreekantha Reddy P.Rama Subba Reddy Vemuri Madhu 2019Defence Technology(防务技术)2019,15,6:5

6Thinking outside the liver: Induced pluripotent stem cells for hepatic applications显示文摘The discovery of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) unraveled a mystery in stem cell research, after identification of four re-programming factors for generating pluripotent stem cells without the need of embryos. This breakthrough in generating iPSCs from somatic cells has overcome the ethical issues and immune rejection involved in the use of human embryonic stem cells. Hence, iPSCs form a great potential source for developing disease models, drug toxicity screening and cell-based therapies. These cells have the potential to differentiate into desired cell types, including hepatocytes, under in vitro as well as under in vivo conditions given the proper microenvironment. iPSC-derived hepatocytes could be useful as an unlimited source, which can be utilized in disease modeling, drug toxicity testing and producing autologous cell therapies that would avoid immune rejection and enable correction of gene defects prior to cell transplantation. In this review, we discuss the induction methods, role of reprogramming factors, and characterization of iPSCs, along with hepatocyte differentiation from iPSCs and potential applications. Further, we discuss the location and detection of liver stem cells and their role in liver regeneration. 7利用MODIS分析的白天和夜间尼泊尔地表温度的时空分布(英文)显示文摘地表温度(LST)是评估气候变化,以及最近几十年观测到的气候变化相关环境影响的重要变量。使用卫星传感器,如MODIS,定期监测LST具有全球覆盖的优势,包括了尼泊尔等地形复杂地区。为了评估气候和环境的变化,使用Terra-MODIS月平均日间和夜间LST数据集对尼泊尔境内2000年至2017年的日间和夜间LST趋势进行了季节和年度分析。采用普通线性回归对趋势大小进行量化,并利用改进的Mann-Kendall检验确定趋势的统计学意义。我们的研究结果表明,尼泊尔夜间相比于白天的LST增加得更为显著,并且相比于其他时期,季风前期和季风期的变暖更为明显。夜间LST的年增长率为0.05 K yr-1(p<0.01),而白天LST的变化无统计学意义。白天和夜间LST和LST变化均存在空间异质性。白天的LST在尼泊尔的大部分地区基本没有变化,而夜间的LST上升在季风前期和季风期的尼泊尔各地占主导地位。我们对LST趋势及其空间分布的研究结果有助于更好地了解区域气候变化。LUINTEL Nirajan MA Weiqiang MA Yaoming WANG Binbin SUBBA Sunil 2019Atmospheric and Oceanic Science Letters2019,12,5:3
8果蝇中保幼激素膜信号磷酸化USP进而增强蜕皮激素信号显示文摘保幼激素(juvenile hormone, JH)与蜕皮激素(20-hydroxyecdysone, 20E)协同调控昆虫的发育与变态.果蝇中JH有两个胞内受体, Met和Gce.为了在完全排除JH胞内信号干扰的前提下探究JH膜信号,本文作者结合果蝇遗传学和磷酸化蛋白组学,对Met Gce双突变体在长期和短期JH存在或缺失的情况下做了大量的磷酸化蛋白组学分析,并鉴定出USP(20E受体复合体EcR-USP的重要组分)Ser35为JH膜信号诱导的磷酸化位点.后续实验证明JH膜信号通过激活PLC-PKC以诱导USP Ser35磷酸化.使用CRISPR-Cas9基因编辑技术,将USP Ser35替换成无磷酸化活性的Ala35,得到了USP^(S35A)突变品系.研究发现USP^(S35A)造成前胸腺ecdysone合成减弱,从而系统性引起全身20E信号下降,导致发育时间延迟.这些研究成果为阐明JH膜受体及其下游的磷酸化调控网络奠定了重要基础.高月 刘素宁 贾强强 武丽仙 袁冬伟 Emma Y.Li 冯启理 王桂荣 Subba R.Palli Jian Wang 李胜 2022Science Bulletin2022,67,2:3

10Development of cost effective personnel armour through structural hybridization显示文摘The objective of the present study is to develop cost effective thermoplastic hybrid laminate using Dyneema®HB50 and Tensylon®HSBD 30A through structural hybridization method.Laminates having 20 mm thickness were fabricated and subjected to 7.6239 mm mild steel core projectile with an impact velocity of 730±10 ms1.Parameters such as energy absorption,back face deformation and rate of back face deformation were measured as a function of hybridization ratio.It was observed that hybrid laminate with 50:50 ratio(w/w)of Tensylon®and Dyneema®with Tensylon®as front face showed 200%more energy absorption when compared to 100%Tensylon®laminate and showed equal energy absorption as that of expensive 100%Dyneema®laminate.Moreover,hybrid laminate with TD50:50 ratio showed 40%lower in terms of final back face deformation than Dyneema®laminate.Rate of back face deformation was also found to be slow for hybrid laminate as compared to Dyneema®laminate.Dynamic mechanical analysis showed that,Tensylon®laminate has got higher stiffness and lower damping factor than Dyneema®and hybrid laminates.The interface between Tensylon®and Dyneema®layers was found to be separating during the penetration process due to the poor interfacial bonding.Failure behaviour of laminates for different hybridization ratios were studied by sectioning the impacted laminates.It was observed that,the Tensylon®laminate has undergone shear cutting of fibers as major failure mode whereas the hybrid laminate showed shear cutting followed by tensile stretching,fiber pull out and delamination.These inputs are highly useful for body armour applications to design cost effective armour with enhanced performance.P.Rama Subba Reddy T.Sreekantha Reddy I.Srikanth Juhi Kushwaha V.Madhu 2020Defence Technology(防务技术)2020,16,6:2

18Synthesis,isolation,identification and characterization of new process-related impurity in isoproterenol hydrochloride by HPLC,LC/ESI-MS and NMR显示文摘One unknown impurity(Imp-Ⅱ) during the analysis of laboratory batches of isoproterenol hydrochloride was detected in the level ranging from 0.04% to 0.12% by high performance liquid chromatography with UV detection. The unknown impurity structure was proposed as 4-[2-(propan-2-ylamino)ethyl]benzene-1,2-diol(Imp-Ⅱ) using the liquid chromatography–mass spectrophotometry(LC–MS) analysis. Imp-Ⅱ was isolated by semi-preparative liquid chromatography from the impurity-enriched reaction crude sample. Its proposed structure was confirmed by nuclear magnetic spectroscopy such as ~1H,^(13)C, DEPT(1D NMR), HSQC(2D NMR)and infrared spectroscopy(IR), and retention time and purity with HPLC followed by the chemical synthesis.Due to less removable nature of Imp-Ⅱ during the purification, the synthetic process was optimized proficiently to control the formation of Imp-Ⅱ below to the limit < 0.12% in the course of reaction. 19Effectiveness of sodium silicate as gangue depressants in iron ore slimes flotation显示文摘The recovery of iron from the screw classifier overflow slimes by direct flotation was studied.The relative effectiveness of sodium silicates with different silica-to-soda mole ratios as depressants for silica and silicate bearing minerals was investigated.Silica-to-soda mole ratio and silicate dosage were found to have significant effect on the separation efficiency.The results show that an increase of Fe content in the concentrate is observed with concomitant reduction in SiO2 and Al2O3 levels when a particular type of sodium silicate at a proper dosage is used.The concentrate of 58.89wt% Fe,4.68wt% SiO2,and 5.28wt% Al2O3 with the weight recovery of 38.74% and the metal recovery of 41.13% can be obtained from the iron ore slimes with 54.44wt% Fe,6.72wt% SiO2,and 6.80wt% Al2O3,when Na2SiO3 with a silica-to-soda mole ratio of 2.19 is used as a depressant at a feed rate of 0.2 kg/t.Danda Srinivas Rao Tadiparthi Venkata VijayaKumar Sripada Subba Rao Swarna Prabhakar Guntamadugu Bhaskar Raju 2011International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2011,18,5:2
