1Isolation,characterization,and phylogenic analysis of three new severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome bunyavirus strains derived from Hubei Province,China显示文摘Hubei Province is a major epidemic area of severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome bunyavirus(SFTSV) in China. However, to date, a few SFTSV strains have been isolated from Hubei Province, preventing effective studies of epidemic outbreaks. Here, we report three confirmed patients(2015–2016) with typical symptoms of severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome disease(SFTS) who were farmers resident in different regions in Hubei Province. Three new SFTSV strains were isolated from the serum samples of each patient. Characterization of viral growth properties showed that there were no significant differences in virus production. All strains were completely sequenced, and phylogenetic analysis showed that unlike the other strains from Hubei province, which belonged to the SFTSV C3 genotype, one of the three strains belonged to the SFTSV C2 genotype. 2Curative effect of Xuebijing injection on severe pulmonary contusion显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the curative effects of Xuebijing(XBJ) injection, a Chinese patent medicine, on severe pulmonary contusion(PC). METHODS: Sixty-three patients with PC were randomized to conventional therapy plus XBJ injection(n=33) or conventional therapy alone(n=30). Between groups differences in corticosteroid treatment, immune regulation therapy, hemofiltration, infusion volume, transfusion volume and antibiotic period were measured, as were intensive care unit (ICU)-free time, ventilation time, 28-day mortality rate and incidence of ventilation-associated pneumonia(VAP). Serum concentrations of procalcitonin(PCT), tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α), interleukin(IL)-6, and IL-10, white blood cell(WBC) counts and percentages of human leukocyte antigen DR/ CD14+(HLA-DR/CD14+) peripheral blood mononuclear cells were compared. Markers of ventilation were determined by blood gas analysis and ventilator parameters. RESULTS: WBC counts and serum concentrations of PCT, TNF-α, IL-6 and IL-10 were reduced significantly more quickly, and CD14+ percentage was increased significantly earlier, in the XBJ group than in the control group(P<0.05 each).The level of ventilation and oxygenation index were ameliorated earlier in the XBJ than in the control group(P< 0.05). XBJ treatment significantly reduced ICU-stay time, ventilation time and incidence of VAP(P<0.05 each), but had no effect on 28-day mortality rate(P>0.05). CONCLUSION: XBJ treatment can shorten ICU-free and ventilation times and reduce the incidence of VAP, improving outcomes in patients with severe PC. 3A new strain of Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever virus isolated from Xinjiang, China显示文摘Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever virus(CCHFV) is a highly pathogenic tick-borne virus with a fatality rate of up to 50% in humans. CCHFV is widely distributed in countries around the world.Outbreaks of CCHFV infection in humans have occurred in prior years in Xinjiang Province, China.Epidemiological surveys have detected CCHFV RNA in ticks and animals; however, few isolates were identified. In this study, we identified and isolated a new CCHFV strain from Hyalomma asiaticum asiaticum ticks collected from north of Tarim Basin in Xinjiang, China. A preliminary investigation of infection and antigens expression of CCHFV was performed in newborn mice. The target tissues for CCHFV replication in newborn mice were identified. The analysis of the phylogenetic relationships with other Chinese strains suggested that diverse genotypes of CCHFV have circulated in Xinjiang for years. 4Functional markers developed from TaGS3, a negative regulator of grain weight and size, for marker-assisted selection in wheat显示文摘The TaGS3 homoeologous genes(homoeologs)located on chromosomes 7 A,4 A,and7 D in hexaploid wheat were cloned.Relative expression analysis of the three Ta GS3 homoeologs revealed that the expression levels of TaGS3-4 A and TaGS3-7 D in developing grains were higher than that of TaGS3-7 A.Genetic evidence showed that Ta GS3 was a negative regulator of grain weight and grain size.Fifteen polymorphic sites and five haplotypes were detected in TaGS3-4 A.Two molecular markers were developed to distinguish the five haplotypes.Association analysis using 260 accessions from Chinese wheat mini-core collection(MCC)indicated that TaGS3-4 A affected thousand grain weight(TGW)and grain length(GL).HAP-4 A-1 and HAP-4 A-2 were favorable haplotypes that increased TGW and GL and had undergone strong selection during domestication of wheat.In addition,interaction of the TaGS3-4 A and TaGS3-7 D homoeologs had significant additive effects on the grain traits.Hap-4 A-1/Hap-7 D-2 was the best haplotype combination in increasing TGW and GL.The frequencies and geographic distributions of favorable TaGS3 haplotypes among 1388 wheat accessions from worldwide sources provided clues for selection of yield-related traits.Our findings demonstrated that TaGS3-4 A had significant effects on TGW and GL.Marker-assisted selection of HAP-4 A-1/2 combined with HAP-7 D-2 has potential to increase wheat yields.Wei Zhang Huifang Li Liya Zhi Qiannan Su Jiajia Liu Xiaoli Ren Deyuan Meng Na Zhang Jun Ji Xueyong Zhang Junming Li 2020The Crop Journal2020,8,6:2
5Extensive evolution analysis of the global chikungunya virus strains revealed the origination of CHIKV epidemics in Pakistan in 2016显示文摘Chikungunya virus(CHIKV) is a mosquito-borne virus that causes epidemics widely in the world especially in the tropical and subtropical regions. Phylogenetic analysis has found that the CHIKV lineages were associated with the spatial and temporal distributions, which were related to the virus adaption to the major mosquito species and their distributions. In this study, we reported the complete genome sequences of eight CHIKV isolates from the outbreak in Pakistan last year. Then we reviewed the evolutionary history using extensive phylogenetic analysis, analyzed lineagespecific substitutions in viral proteins, and characterized the spreading pathway of CHIKV strains including the Pakistani strains. The results showed that the Pakistani stains belonged to the ECSA.IOL sub-lineage and derived from India. The genetic properties of the Pakistani strains including the adaptive substitution to vectors were further characterized, and the potential risks from the occurrence of CHIKV infection in Pakistan were discussed. 6Novel SFTSV Phylogeny Reveals New Reassortment Events and Migration Routes显示文摘Severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome virus(SFTSV),the causative agent of a febrile human disease,was first identified from central and eastern provinces in China,and later in Japan and South Korea.Hubei Province is one of the major SFTS epidemic areas in the central part of China.This study reported the isolation of 11 new SFTSV strains from patients in Hubei Province collected in 2017.Extensive phylogenetic analyses were conducted based on the complete coding sequences of SFTSV segments including the new strains.It was suggested that five different SFTSV genotypes were circulating in Hubei,and 15 reassortment patterns and migration pathways correlated with each genotype were identified,which was more than previously recognized.Hubei Province was more involved in the evolutionary events of SFTSV than that previously thought in which the evolutionary events of SFTSV were reported to be independent from those in other epidemic regions.Further divergence of SFTSV strains was suggested by pairwise comparison of SFTSV sequences from each genotype and sequence identity normalized to representative strain in genotype C1.Subsequently,amino acid variations specific for genotype(s),strain(s),or cluster(s)were inspected,which may be related to differential biological activity of SFTSV strains/genotypes.In conclusion,we analyzed the current status of SFTSV phylogeny in Hubei Province and discussed the possible events correlated to SFTSV evolution.It provided an in-depth insight into SFTSV evolution,raising concerns for the use of proper SFTSV strains in future studies.Xiaoli Wu Mingyue Li Yanfang Zhang Boyun Liang Junming Shi Yaohui Fang Zhengyuan Su Mengmeng Li Wenjing Zhang Ling Xu Jun Wang Qiaoli Wu Shuang Tang Hualin Wang Tao Zhang Cheng Peng Xin Zheng Fei Deng Shu Shen 2021Virologica Sinica2021,36,2:2

11OBV(obscure vein),a C_(2)H_(2)zinc finger transcription factor,positively regulates chloroplast development and bundle sheath extension formation in tomato(Solanum lycopersicum)leaf veins显示文摘Leaf veins play an important role in plant growth and development,and the bundle sheath(BS)is believed to greatly improve the photosynthetic efficiency of C_(4) plants.The OBV mutation in tomato(Solanum lycopersicum)results in dark veins and has been used widely in processing tomato varieties.However,physiological performance has difficulty explaining fitness in production.In this study,we confirmed that this mutation was caused by both the increased chlorophyll content and the absence of bundle sheath extension(BSE)in the veins.Using genome-wide association analysis and map-based cloning,we revealed that OBV encoded a C_(2)H_(2) L domain class transcription factor.It was localized in the nucleus and presented cell type-specific gene expression in the leaf veins.Furthermore,we verified the gene function by generating CRISPR/Cas9 knockout and overexpression mutants of the tomato gene.RNA sequencing analysis revealed that OBV was involved in regulating chloroplast development and photosynthesis,which greatly supported the change in chlorophyll content by mutation.Taken together,these findings demonstrated that OBV affected the growth and development of tomato by regulating chloroplast development in leaf veins.This study also provides a solid foundation to further decipher the mechanism of BSEs and to understand the evolution of photosynthesis in land plants.Jinghua Lu Chunyang Pan Xin Li Zejun Huang Jinshuai Shu Xiaoxuan Wang Xiaoxiao Lu Feng Pan Junling Hu Hui Zhang Wenyue Su Min Zhang Yongchen Du Lei Liu Yanmei Guo Junming Li 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:1
12Automated extraction of corn leaf points from unorganized terrestrial LiDAR point clouds显示文摘Terrestrial LiDAR data can be used to extract accurate structure parameters of corn plant and canopy,such as leaf area,leaf distribution,and 3D model.The first step of these applications is to extract corn leaf points from unorganized LiDAR point clouds.This paper focused on an automated extraction algorithm for identifying the points returning on corn leaf from massive,unorganized LiDAR point clouds.In order to mine the distinct geometry of corn leaves and stalk,the Difference of Normal(DoN)method was proposed to extract corn leaf points.Firstly,the normals of corn leaf surface for all points were estimated on multiple scales.Secondly,the directional ambiguity of the normals was eliminated to obtain the same normal direction for the same leaf distribution.Finally,the DoN was computed and the computed DoN results on the optimal scale were used to extract leave points.The quantitative accuracy assessment showed that the overall accuracy was 94.10%,commission error was 5.89%,and omission error was 18.65%.The results indicate that the proposed method is effective and the corn leaf points can be extracted automatically from massive,unorganized terrestrial LiDAR point clouds using the proposed DoN method.Wei Su Mingzheng Zhang Junming Liu Zhongping Sun 2018International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2018,11,3:1

16g-C_(3)N_(4) Derived Materials for Photocatalytic Hydrogen Production: A Mini Review on Design Strategies显示文摘Hydrogen production through solar energy is one of the most important pathways to meet the growing demand of renewable energy,and photocatalyst participation in solar hydrolytic hydrogen production has received great attention in recent years in terms of low cost,high efficiency,and flexible design.Particularly,g-C_(3)N_(4)(Graphitic-like carbon nitride material),as a unique material,can catalyze the hydrogen production process by completing the separation and transmission of charge.The easily adjustable pore structure/surface area,dimension,band-gap modulation and defect have shown great potential for hydrogen production from water cracking.In this review,the most recent advance of g-C_(3)N_(4) including the doping of metal and non-metal elements,and the formation of semiconductor heterojunction is highlighted.The main modification strategies and approaches for the design of g-C_(3)N_(4) for hydrogen production,as well as the influence of various materials on hydrogen evolution regarding the photocatalysis mechanism and advantages brought by theoretical calculations are specially and briefly illu-strated.Potential design pathways and strategies of g-C_(3)N_(4) are discussed.In addition,current challenges of hydrogen production from g-C_(3)N_(4) water splitting are summarized and can be expected.Kai Su Shaoqi Deng Linxiao Li Qirui Qin Jingyu Yang Yan Chen Shengli Zhang Junming Chen 2022Journal of Renewable Materials2022,10,3:0
17Luminescent ionic lattice occupation and wide tunable emission spectra of La_(2)MgZrO_(6):Bi^(3+),Eu^(3+)double perovskite phosphors for white light LED显示文摘La_(2)Mg_(1-x/2)Zr_(1-x/2)O_(6):xBi^(3+)(x=0.01-0.035,abbreviated as LMZ:Bi^(3+))and La_(2-y)Mg_(0.99)Zr_(0.99)O_(6):0.02Bi^(3+),yEu^(3+)(y=0.1-0.11,abbreviated as LMZ:Bi^(3+),Eu^(3+))double-perovskite phosphors were prepared through high-temperature solid-phase method.The emission spectrum of LMZ:xBi^(3+)(x=0.01-0.035)phosphors excited at 353 nm is asymmetric in the range between 375 and 650 nm,showing strong green light.There are two luminescent centers of[Mg1/Zr2-O_(6)]and[Mg2/Zr1-O_(6)]for Bi^(3+)occupation,which were analyzed through different excitation wavelengths,Gaussian fitting peaks,fluorescence decay curves and Rietveld refinement of powder X-ray diffraction data.Through deep study of the luminescent lattices in the LMZ matrix,the green to blue tunning-emission is observed by different excitation wavelengths.In addition,red emission is obtained by co-doping Bi^(3+)/Eu^(3+),and adjustable emission was investigated by changing the content of Eu^(3+)in the co-doped phosphor formulation,so it is converted from green emission to red emission.The above results demonstrate how to tune emission color by co-doping rare earth ions in the double perovskite phosphor,which is attractive for future applications.Chen Yang Chenli Fan Fayaz Hussain Weiqing Sheng Kaixin Song Jun Wu Qingming Huang Weitao Su Junming Xu Shikuan Sun Dawei Wang 2023Journal of Rare Earths2023,41,4:0
