1Age-related rhesus macaque models of COVID-19显示文摘Background:Since December 2019,an outbreak of the Corona Virus disease 2019(COVID-19)caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus(SARS-CoV-2)in Wuhan,China,has become a public health emergency of international concern.The high fatality of aged cases caused by SARS-CoV-2 was a need to explore the possible age-related phenomena with non-human primate models.Methods:Three 3-5 years old and two 15 years old rhesus macaques were intratracheally infected with SARS-CoV-2,and then analyzed by clinical signs,viral replication,chest X-ray,histopathological changes and immune response.Results:Viral replication of nasopharyngeal swabs,anal swabs and lung in old monkeys was more active than that in young monkeys for 14 days after SARS-CoV-2 challenge.Monkeys developed typical interstitial pneumonia characterized by thickened alveolar septum accompanied with inflammation and edema,notably,old monkeys exhibited diffuse severe interstitial pneumonia.Viral antigens were detected mainly in alveolar epithelial cells and macrophages.Conclusion:SARS-CoV-2 caused more severe interstitial pneumonia in old monkeys than that in young monkeys.Rhesus macaque models infected with SARS-CoV-2 provided insight into the pathogenic mechanism and facilitated the development of vaccines and therapeutics against SARS-CoV-2 infection.Pin Yu Feifei Qi Yanfeng Xu Fengdi Li Peipei Liu Jiayi Liu Linlin Bao Wei Deng Hong Gao Zhiguang Xiang Chong Xiao Qi Lv Shuran Gong Jiangning Liu Zhiqi Song Yajin Qu Jing Xue Qiang Wei Mingya Liu Guanpeng Wang Shunyi Wang Haisheng Yu Xing Liu Baoying Huang Wenling Wang Li Zhao Huijuan Wang Fei Ye Weimin Zhou Wei Zhen Jun Han Guizhen Wu Qi Jin Jianwei Wang Wenjie Tan Chuan Qin 2020Animal Models and Experimental Medicine2020,3,1:22
2Glutamine synthetase as an early marker for hepatocellular carcinoma based on proteomic analysis of resected smal hepatocel ular carcinomas显示文摘BACKGROUND:Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is a highly malignant tumor with a poor prognosis.Because small HCCs possess most of the characteristics of early HCC,we investigated small HCCs to screen potential biomarkers for early diagnosis.METHODS:Proteins were extracted from 10 sets of paired tissue samples from HBV-infected small-HCC patients.The extracted proteins were well resolved by two-dimensional electrophoresis.These HCC-associated proteins were then identified by MALDI-TOF/TOF MS following image analysis.Western blotting and immunohistochemistry were used to assess glutamine synthetase(GS)and phenazine biosynthesislike domain-containing protein(PBLD)expression in liver tissue.Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays in 152 serum samples(from 49 healthy donors,24 patients with liver cirrhosis,and 79 with HCC)were used to further assess the significance of GS clinically.RESULTS:Fifteen up-regulated and three down-regulated proteins were identified.Western blotting confirmed GS overexpression and decreased PBLD expression in liver tissue.Immunohistochemistry showed that GS was expressed in 70.0%(84/120)of HCCs and 35.8%(43/120)of nontumor tissues;PBLD was expressed in 74.2%(89/120) of nontumor tissues and 40.8%(49/120)of HCCs.The Chi-square test showed significant expression differences between HCCs and adjacent tissues.Consistent with this,serum GS levels in HCC patients were significantly higher than those in liver cirrhosis patients and healthy donors,while the latter two groups were also significantly different.In addition, a diagnostic cutoff value of 2.6 mg/ml was used for GS;it was elevated in 19(76.0%)of 25 HCC patients with AFP≤20 ng/ml and 47(88.7%)of 53 HCC patients with AFP≤200 ng/ml.CONCLUSION:GS and PBLD are abnormally expressed in most HCCs.GS may be a novel serum marker for early HCC, especially for those patients with low AFP levels(≤200 ng/ml).Jiang Long,Zhen-Wei Lang,Hua-Guang Wang,Tai-Ling Wang,Bao-En Wang and Si-Qi Liu Liver Research Center,Beijing Friendship Hospital, Capital Medical University,Beijing 100050,China Department of Hepatology,Department of Pathology, Beijing Youan Hospital,Capital Medical University,Beijing 100069,China Department of Pharmaceutical Affairs,Beijing Chaoyang Hospital,Capital Medical University,Beijing 100020,China Department of Pathology,China-Japan Friendship Hospital,Beijing 100029,China Beijing Genomics Institute,Chinese Academy of Science,Beijing Airport Industrial Zone B-6,Shunyi,Beijing 101300,China 2010Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Diseases International2010,9,3:21
3A Deep Double-Channel Dense Network for Hyperspectral Image Classifica-tion显示文摘Hyperspectral Image(HSI)classification based on deep learning has been an attractive area in recent years.However,as a kind of data-driven algorithm,the deep learning method usually requires numerous computational resources and high-quality labelled datasets,while the expenditures of high-performance computing and data annotation are expensive.In this paper,to reduce the dependence on massive calculation and labelled samples,we propose a deep Double-Channel dense network(DDCD)for Hyperspectral Image Classification.Specifically,we design a 3D Double-Channel dense layer to capture the local and global features of the input.And we propose a Linear Attention Mechanism that is approximate to dot-product attention with much less memory and computational costs.The number of parameters and the consumptions of calculation are observably less than contrapositive deep learning methods,which means DDCD owns simpler architecture and higher efficiency.A series of quantitative experiences on 6 widely used hyperspectral datasets show that the proposed DDCD obtains state-of-the-art performance,even though when the absence of labelled samples is severe.Kexian WANG Shunyi ZHENG Rui LI Li GUI 2021Journal of Geodesy and Geoinformation Science2021,4,4:11
4A FUZZY-LOGIC CONTROL ALGORITHM FOR ACTIVE QUEUE MANAGEMENT IN IP NETWORKS显示文摘Active Queue Management (AQM) is an active research area in the Internet community. Random Early Detection (RED) is a typical AQM algorithm, but it is known that it is difficult to configure its parameters and its average queue length is closely related to the load level. This paper proposes an effective fuzzy congestion control algorithm based on fuzzy logic which uses the pre- dominance of fuzzy logic to deal with uncertain events. The main advantage of this new congestion control algorithm is that it discards the packet dropping mechanism of RED, and calculates packet loss according to a preconfigured fuzzy logic by using the queue length and the buffer usage ratio. Theo- retical analysis and Network Simulator (NS) simulation results show that the proposed algorithm achieves more throughput and more stable queue length than traditional schemes. 5Land cover classification from remote sensing images based on multi-scale fully convolutional network显示文摘Although the Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)has shown great potential for land cover classification,the frequently used single-scale convolution kernel limits the scope of informa-tion extraction.Therefore,we propose a Multi-Scale Fully Convolutional Network(MSFCN)with a multi-scale convolutional kernel as well as a Channel Attention Block(CAB)and a Global Pooling Module(GPM)in this paper to exploit discriminative representations from two-dimensional(2D)satellite images.Meanwhile,to explore the ability of the proposed MSFCN for spatio-temporal images,we expand our MSFCN to three-dimension using three-dimensional(3D)CNN,capable of harnessing each land cover category’s time series interac-tion from the reshaped spatio-temporal remote sensing images.To verify the effectiveness of the proposed MSFCN,we conduct experiments on two spatial datasets and two spatio-temporal datasets.The proposed MSFCN achieves 60.366%on the WHDLD dataset and 75.127%on the GID dataset in terms of mIoU index while the figures for two spatio-temporal datasets are 87.753%and 77.156%.Extensive comparative experiments and abla-tion studies demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed MSFCN.Rui Li Shunyi Zheng Chenxi Duan Libo Wang Ce Zhang 2022Geo-Spatial Information Science2022,25,2:4
6Sequential infection with H1N1 and SARS-CoV-2 aggravated COVID-19 pathogenesis in a mammalian model, and covaccination as an effective method of prevention of COVID-19 and influenza显示文摘Influenza A virus may circulate simultaneously with the SARS-CoV-2 virus,leading to more serious respiratory diseases during this winter.However,the influence of these viruses on disease outcome when both influenza A and SARS-CoV-2 are present in the host remains unclear.Using a mammalian model,sequential infection was performed in ferrets and in K18-MCE2 mice,with SARS-CoV-2 infection following H1N1.We found that co-infection with H1N1 and SARS-CoV-2 extended the duration of clinical manifestation of COVID-19,and enhanced pulmonary damage,but reduced viral shedding of throat swabs and viral loads in the lungs of ferrets.Moreover,mortality was increased in sequentially infected mice compared with single-infection mice.Compared with singlevaccine inoculation,co-inoculation of PiCoVacc(a SARS-CoV-2 vaccine)and the flu vaccine showed no significant differences in neutralizing antibody titers or virus-specific immune responses.Combined immunization effectively protected K18-MCE2 mice against both H1N1 and SARS-CoV-2 infection.Our findings indicated the development of systematic models of co-infection of H1N1 and SARS-CoV-2,which together notably enhanced pneumonia in ferrets and mice,as well as demonstrated that simultaneous vaccination against HINT and SARS-CoV-2 may be an effective prevention strategy for the coming winter.Linlin Bao Wei Deng Feifei Qi Qi Lv Zhiqi Song Jiangning Liu Hong Gao Qiang Wei Pin Yu Yanfeng Xu Yajin Qu Fengdi Li Jing Xue Shuran Gong Mingya Liu Guanpeng Wang Shunyi Wang Binbin Zhao Bin Cong Chuan Qin 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,6:4
7ON THE OPTIMAL MULTI-RATE THROUGHPUT FOR MULTICAST WITH NETWORK CODING显示文摘This paper investigates the maximal achievable multi-rate throughput problem of a multicast ses-sion at the presence of network coding. Deviating from previous works which focus on single-rate network coding, our work takes the heterogeneity of sinks into account and provides multiple data layers to address the problem. Firstly formulated is the maximal achievable throughput problem with the assumption that the data layers are independent and layer rates are static. It is proved that the problem in this case is, unfortunately, Non-deterministic Polynomial-time (NP)-hard. In addition, our formulation is extended to the problems with dependent layers and dynamic layers. 8A Fusion Kalman Filter and UFIR Estimator Using the Influence Function Method显示文摘In this paper,the Kalman filter(KF)and the unbiased finite impulse response(UFIR)filter are fused in the discrete-time state-space to improve robustness against uncertainties.To avoid the problem where fusion filters may give up some advantages of UFIR filters by fusing based on noise statistics,we attempt to find a way to fuse without using noise statistics.The fusion filtering algorithm is derived using the influence function that provides a quantified measure for disturbances on the resulting filtering outputs and is termed as an influence finite impulse response(IFIR)filter.The main advantage of the proposed method is that the noise statistics of process noise and measurement noise are no longer required in the fusion process,showing that a critical feature of the UFIR filter is inherited.One numerical example and a practice-oriented case are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.It is shown that the IFIR filter has adaptive performance and can automatically switch from the Kalman estimate to the UFIR estimates according to operating conditions.Moreover,the proposed method can reduce the effects of optimal horizon length on the UFIR estimate and can give the state estimates of best accuracy among all the compared methods.Wei Xue Xiaoli Luan Shunyi Zhao Fei Liu 2022IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2022,9,4:2

10SERVICE-AWARE BASED FUZZY ADMISSION CONTROL SCHEME IN MULTI-SERVICE NETWORKS显示文摘Multi-service aggregated transmission is the direction of IP network. Providing different Quality of Service (QoS) assurance for different services has become a crucial problem in future network. Admission control is a vital function for multi-service IP network. This paper proposes a novel fuzzy admission control scheme based on coarse granularity service-aware technique. Different service has discriminative sensitivity to the same QoS characteristic parameter in general. The traffic class can be perceived by the service request parameter and the proposed QoS function. And requirements of dif- ferent applications can be met by maintaining the life parameter.
