1Drug-loaded balloon with built-in NIR controlled tip-separable microneedles for long-effective arteriosclerosis treatment显示文摘Drug-eluting balloon(DEB)angioplasty has emerged as an effective treatment for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.However,distal embolism and late lumen restenosis could be caused by drug loss during DEB handling and rapid drug metabolization.Here,a drug-loaded balloon equipped with tip-separable microneedles on the balloon surface(MNDLB)was developed.Inbuilt near-infrared(NIR)ring laser inside the catheter inner shaft was introduced to activate the biodegradable microneedle tips for the first time.The drug-loaded tips thus could be embedded in the vasculature and then released antiproliferative drug-paclitaxel slowly via polymer degradation for more than half a year.A significant increase in drug delivery efficiency and superior therapeutic effectiveness compared with the standard DEB were demonstrated using an atherosclerosis rabbit model.Li Huang Huaqiang Fang Teng Zhang Binbin Hu Shichen Liu Fanzhen Lv Zhaoxia Zeng Huijie Liu Weimin Zhou Xiaolei Wang 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,5:2

3Time-Dependent Demographic Prediction Based on Time-Back-Propagation Method显示文摘In various applications like personalized search and recommendation, full demographic information is a precondition for many applications' well performance,but such ideal dataset rarely exists in practical scenarios.What's worse, absence of key characteristics(e.g., baby's age in maternal and infant commodity recommendation)makes these applications struggle. We design a novel solution to solve the problem of time-dependent demographic prediction. The key insight behind our approach is, we leverage a Time-back-propagation(TBP) method to take the internal time correlation of historical behaviours into consideration and collect all available data to train a classifier, which is a mapping from user's historical behaviours to the demographic information. We demonstrate the effectiveness of our method through experiments of baby's age prediction. 5Vertical graphene-coated Cu wire for enhanced tolerance to high current density in power transmission显示文摘Cu wires(CuWs)are widely used as electric transmission lines.However,their limited thermal and chemical stabilities become challenges under the high-power and harsh environment.Graphene is regarded as an ideal protective barrier for CuW benefiting from its impermeability to all atoms and molecules.Particularly,the excellent hydrophobicity of vertical graphene(VG)will strengthen its protective capability as a corrosion and oxidation barrier.Herein,VG is directly synthesized on CuW by plasmaenhanced chemical vapor deposition method.The hydrophobic VG coating with a high water contact angle can effectively exclude the corrosive liquid and moisture from CuW surface and prevent their further penetration.Consequently,the electrochemical corrosion rate of VG-CuW is reduced by~13,8,and 2 times,compared with bare CuW,VG-CuW with hydrophilic treatment,and CuW coated with thick horizontal graphene layers,respectively.Negligible oxidation occurs on VGCuW after the long-time exposure to humid air at~200℃ along with the largely enhanced tolerance under high-current operating condition.This study reveals the impressive potentials of hydrophobic VG as a robust corrosion and oxidation barrier for metal wires used in high-power cables and electronic devices in harsh environment.Kun Wang Shuting Cheng Qingmei Hu Feng Yu Yi Cheng Kewen Huang Hao Yuan Jun Jiang Wenjuan Li Junliang Li Shichen Xu Jianbo Yin Yue Qi Zhongfan Liu 2022Nano Research2022,15,11:0
6ACOUSTIC EMISSION AND HYDROGEN EVOLUTION DURING SOLIDIFICATION OF ALUMINUM ALLOYS显示文摘Study of the solidification process of both Al-Si and Al-Cu alloys proved the presence ofacoustic emission phenomena.Two peaks of count rate have been observed.The total countsof both peaks increase with the increasing hydrogen content of the alloy.The mechanism ofproducing the acoustic emission has been discussed.At the same time,results obtained by oth-er techniques strongly support the good correlation between the acoustic emission andhydrogen releasing during solidification.The bubble nucleation between dendrite arms is themain cause of the first peak,while the fracture of the bridge connecting the interdendrites atthe later stage of solidification is the main cause of the second peak.It is probably due to thehydrogen evolution and accumulation to create high pressure in the interdendritie region.ZHOU Zhao JI Shichen HU Zhuangqi SHI Changxu (C.H.Shih) Institute of Metal Research,Academia Sinica,Shenyang,China 1989Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)1989,2,2:0
