| 1 | Factors Affecting Sensory Quality of Cooked japonica Rice显示文摘The sensory quality of cooked rice is an important factor in determining its market price, as well as consumer acceptance and breeding efforts aimed at improvement of rice grain quality. In this study,the sensory quality and physicochemical properties of three japonica rice varieties harvested in two different growing locations(Xiangshui and Hangzhou of China) were compared to determine the most important factors affecting the sensory quality. All the three varieties had higher scores for overall sensory quality in Xiangshui than in Hangzhou, indicating that the growing location is a key factor in determining the sensory quality of cooked japonica rice. In addition to growing location, variety(genotype) also had an important effect. Longdao 18 scored the highest for overall sensory quality in the two locations, whereas Longdao 30 had the lowest score in Xiangshui, and both Longdao 20 and Longdao 30 had the lowest scores in Hangzhou. Many physicochemical properties, such as apparent amylose content, protein content, thermal properties and free amino acid contents, showed significant differences between the two locations. Correlation analysis showed that apparent amylose content and protein content had contrasting effects on all the sensory attributes. The overall sensory quality was negatively correlated with protein content(r =-0.89, P < 0.01) and positively correlated with gel hardness(r = 0.91, P < 0.01),indicating that the protein content and hardness are important physicochemical properties for predicting the sensory quality of japonica rice. | 2 | Pollen-inferred vegetation and environmental changes since 16.7 ka BP at Balikun Lake, Xinjiang显示文摘A high-resolution fossil pollen record from the sedimentary cores of Balikun Lake, northwestern China, combined with modern surface pollen data, is used to reconstruct the history of vegetation and climatic change since 16.7 cal. ka BP. Fossil pollen assem-blages and lithology indicate that the study area was dominated by desert. The desert had extremely arid climate and lower effec-tive moisture during 16.7–7.9 cal. ka BP, especially from 16.7 to 8.9 cal. ka BP when the lake maybe dried up. During 8.9–7.9 cal. ka BP, the environment gradually recovered in this area. It was then followed by the optimum period from 7.9 to 4.3 cal. Ka BP, when the effective moisture obviously increased. It was characterized by the typical desert-steppe/steppe vegetation and was ac-companied with several patch-birch woodlands around the lake. After that, a short but extremely arid climatic event occurred during 4.3–3.8 cal. ka BP, and the vegetation quickly changed from desert-steppe/steppe to desert. It was a relatively optimum period from 3.8 to 0.53 cal. ka BP showing typical desert-steppe/meadow-steppe landscape. Since 0.53 cal. ka BP, the climate has shown signs of deteriorating again. | 3 | Recent advances and prospects toward blue perovskite materials and light-emitting diodes显示文摘Perovskite based light-emitting diodes(PeLEDs)have become a powerful candidate for next-generation solid-state lightings and high-definition displays due to their high photoluminescence quantum yield(PLQY),tunable emission wavelength over the visible spectrum,and narrow emission linewidths.Over the past few years,the development of red-and green-emissive PeLEDs has rapidly increased,and the corresponding external quantum efficiencies(EQE)have exceeded 20%.However,the research progress of blue-emitting PeLEDs is limited by its poor material quality and inappropriate device structure.Currently,the maximum EQE of blue PeLED is only 6.2%,which is far from the industrialization requirements.In order to promote the development of blue PeLEDs,we summarize the recent research progress of blue perovskite materials and LEDs and discuss several fatal challenges,mainly embodied in low efficiency and poor stability.In order to overcome these challenges,detailed analysis and strategies are put forward in terms of the materials and devices.For the former,we summarize the feasible strategy for the preparation of efficient and stable blue-emissive perovskites using component engineering.For the latter,we analyze the advantages and limitations of the different strategies for blue-emissive perovskite in LEDs.At the end of the review,a comprehensive outlook is detailed,including future development directions and several technical problems to be solved.Thus,we aim to highlight the significance and promote the industrialization of PeLEDs. | Tao Fang Fengjuan Zhang Shichen Yuan Haibo Zeng Jizhong Song | 2019 | InfoMat2019,1,2: | 9 |
| 4 | Preparation and Surface Properties of Silicon-Containing Waterborne Polyurethane Functionalized with Fluorine-Containing Acrylate and Micro-Nano Silica显示文摘In order to prepare hydrophobic waterborne polyurethane coatings with better performances, the silicon-containing waterborne polyurethane(SiWPU) with functional chain extender hydroxyethyl acrylate(HEA) was prepared first, and then a series of silicon&fluorine-containing polyurethane/acrylate(FSiPUA) emulsions were obtained with flourine containing acrylic monomer by seed emulsion polymerization, introducing micro-nano SiO_2 into FSiPUA emulsion to make the final hybrid emulsion. The properties of Si WPU, FSiPUA and SiO_2/FSiPUA were investigated by fourier transform infrared spectra(FTIR), transmission electron microscope(TEM), Scanning Electron Microscope(SEM) and some other analytical methods. The results revealed that FSiPUA emulsion particles possessed composite core-shell structure and FSiPUA films with suitable ratio performed better than Si WPU films in hardness, water resistance and solvent resistance. | 5 | Parallel selection of distinct Tof5 alleles drove the adaptation of cultivated and wild soybean to high latitudes显示文摘Photoperiod responsiveness is a key factor limiting the geographic distribution of cultivated soybean and its wild ancestor.In particular,the genetic basis of the adaptation in wild soybean remains poorly understood.In this study,by combining whole-genome resequencing and genome-wide association studies we identified a novel locus,Time of Flowering 5(Tof5),which promotes flowering and enhances adaptation to high latitudes in both wild and cultivated soybean.By genomic,genetic and transgenic analyses we showed that Tof5 en-codes a homolog of Arabidopsis thaliana FRUITFULL(FUL).Importantly,further analyses suggested that different alleles of Tof5 have undergone parallel selection.The Tof5H1 allele was strongly selected by humans after the early domestication of cultivated soybean,while Tof5H2 allele was naturally selected in wild soybean,and in each case facilitating adaptation to high latitudes.Moreover,we found that the key flowering repressor E1 suppresses the transcription of Tof5 by binding to its promoter.In turn,Tof5 physically associates with the promoters of two important FLOWERING LOCUS T(FT),FT2a and FT5a,to upregulate their transcription and promote flowering under long photoperiods.Collectively,ourfindings provide insights into how wild soybean adapted to high latitudes through natural selection and indicate that cultivated soybean underwent changes in the same gene but evolved a distinct allele that was artificially selected after domestication. | Lidong Dong Qun Cheng Chao Fang Lingping Kong Hui Yang Zhihong Hou Yongli Li Haiyang Nan Yuhang Zhang Qingshan Chen Chunbao Zhang Kun Kou Tong Su Lingshuang Wang Shichen Li Haiyang Li Xiaoya Lin Yang Tang Xiaohui Zhao Sijia Lu Baohui Liu Fanjiang Kong | 2022 | Molecular Plant2022,15,2: | 5 |
| 6 | Effect of electro-scalp acupuncture on acute ischemic stroke: a randomized, single blind, trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To determine the clinical efficacy and safety of electro-scalp acupuncture in the treatment of patients with acute ischemic stroke.METHODS: Totally 74 patients with acute ischemic stroke were enrolled and divided into either body acupuncture(Control) or electro-scalp acupuncture(ESA) groups according to randomized controlled principle. The patients in the control group weregiven body acupuncture treatment once daily for28 d, whereas except for the body acupuncture,electro-scalp acupuncture was additional treatment given to the ESA group. Neurological deficits,everyday motor function and muscle strength were evaluated at baseline and the 28 th d by NIH Stroke Scale(NIHSS), Fugl-Meyer Assessment(FMA) and Modified Barthel Index Score(MBI), respectively.RESULTS: There were not obvious between-group differences in the baseline efficacy parameters(NIHSS, FMA and MBI)(all P > 0.05), whereas significant between-group differences were found in post-treatment NIHSS, FMA-UE and MBI scores(all P < 0.05). Instead of T1 (Al2CuLi) phase, there was an unknown cubic phase acting as the dominant precipitates in the In-added alloy in T6 temper, which disappeared in T8 temper. The orientation relationship between this phase and matrix was given by SAEDs: (001)p//(001)α, [010]p//[010]α. Both measuring directly from HREM images or calculating from it s FFTs gave an close lattice parameter about 0.83 nm. 3DAP composition analysis revealed the presence of Al, Cu and Li in the atomic percentages: 60%Al, 30%Cu and 10%Li. | 9 | Fluid Property Discrimination in Dolostone Reservoirs Using Well Logs显示文摘The Ordovician Majiagou Formation is one of the main gas-producing strata in the Ordos Basin,China.The identification of hydrocarbon-bearing intervals via conventional well logs is a challenging task.This study describes the litholog of Ma 5(Member 5 of Majiagou Formation)dolostones,and then analyzes the responses of various conventional well logs to the presences of natural gas.The lithology of the gas bearing layers is dominantly of the dolomicrite to fine to medium crystalline dolomite.Natural gas can be produced from the low resistivity layers,and the dry layers are characterized by high resistivities.Neutron-density crossovers are not sensitive to the presences of natural gas.In addition,there are no significant increases in sonic transit times in natural gas bearing layers.NMR(nuclear magnetic resonance)logs,DSI(Dipole Sonic Imager)logs and borehole image logs(XRMI)are introduced to discriminate the fluid property in Majiagou dolostone reservoirs.The gas bearing intervals have broad NMR T2(transverse relaxation time)spectrum with tail distributions as well as large T2gm(T2 logarithmic mean values)values,and the T2 spectrum commonly display polymodal behaviors.In contrast,the dry layers and water layers have low T2gm values and very narrow T2 spectrum without tails.The gas bearing layers are characterized by low Vp/Vs ratios,low Poisson’s ratios and low P-wave impedances,therefore the fluid property can be discriminated using DSI logs,and the interpretation results show good matches with the gas test data.The apparent formation water resistivity(AFWR)spectrum can be derived from XRMI image logs by using the Archie’s formula in the flushed zone.The gas bearing layers have broad apparent formation water resistivity spectrum and tail distributions compared with the dry and water layers,and also the interpretation results from the image logs exhibit good agreement with the gas test data.The fluid property in Majiagou dolostone reservoirs can be discriminated through NMR logs,DSI logs and borehole image logs.This study helps establish a predictable model for fluid property in dolostones,and have implications in dolostone reservoirs with similar geological backgrounds worldwide. | WANG Guiwen LAI Jin LIU Bingchang FAN Zhuoying LIU Shichen SHI Yujiang ZHANG Haitao CHEN Jing | 2020 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2020,94,3: | 4 |

| 15 | Influence of Aspect Ratio on Rolling Shear Properties of Fast-Grown Small Diameter Eucalyptus Lumber显示文摘Eucalyptus is a major fast-grown species in South China,which has the potential for producing structural wood products such as cross-laminated timber(CLT).Aspect ratio(board width vs.board thickness)of eucalyptus lumbers is small due to the small diameter of fast-grown eucalyptus wood.To evaluate its rolling shear modulus and strength for potential CLT applications,three-layer hybrid CLT shear block specimens with different aspect ratios(2,4,6),were tested by planar shear test method.Digital image correlation(DIC)was employed to measure the rolling shear strain distribution and development during the planar shear tests.The mean values of rolling shear modulus and strength of eucalyptus lamination were 260.3%and 88.2%higher than those of SPF(Spruce-pine-fir)lamination with the same aspect ratio of 4,respectively.The rolling shear properties of eucalyptus laminations increased as the aspect ratio increased.Aspect ratio had a significant influence on rolling shear modulus compared to rolling shear strength.The high shear strain regions were primarily found around the gaps between segments of cross layer.The quantity of high shear strain regions increased as the aspect ratio of lamination decreased.Other high shear strain regions also occurred around the pith and along the glue line.The sudden failure of specimen occurred in the high strain region.In conclusion,the rolling shear strength and modulus of fast-grown eucalyptus laminations exceed the respective characteristic values for softwoods in the current standard by roughly factors of 3 and 8,indicating great potential for fast-grown eucalyptus wood cross-layers in CLT. | Tao Gui Shichen Cai Zhiqiang Wang Jianhui Zhou | 2020 | Journal of Renewable Materials2020,8,9: | 2 |
