1Progress of applied research on TiO_2 photocatalysis-membrane separation coupling technology in water and wastewater treatments显示文摘Photocatalysis-membrane separation coupling technology has been a heavily researched area in water and wastewater treatment during recent years. The membrane separation process allows the photocatalyst to be easily separated, recovered and reused. More significantly, the membrane is efficient to maintain high flux of membranes as the photocatalyst can reduce the membrane fouling problem which is a hindrance in the development of membrane process. Moreover, some synergistic effects can also be produced, and thus the efficiency of water treatment is enhanced greatly. A comprehensive review of photocatalysis-membrane separation coupling technology is conducted with an insight into its configurations, theories involved, characteristics, and factors that influ-ence the coupling technology. 2Determine an effective golf swing by swing speed and impact precision tests显示文摘背景:检验一次高尔夫挥杆动作是否有效,必须同时且完整地获取挥杆速度和击球精准度。本研究旨在通过测试挥杆速度和击球精准度以确定可形成有效击球的挥杆类型。方法:招募7名大学校队高尔夫球手(差点为0-12杆),采用5号球杆完成挥杆速度测试和击球精准度测试。利用测力台和肌电图系统采集挥杆速度测试过程中的数据,并比较两个动作顺序之间的区别。采用高速摄像机获取击球精准度测试过程中躯干旋转中心的位移。结果:不同动作顺序和肌肉收缩模式下,杆头速度有显著差异(p<0.01)。同时,在击球精准度测试中,旋转中心(颈7内中心点)的位移随球面上不同的击球痕迹而显著不同(p<0.01)。结论:优秀的击球技术表现为:1)左脚的最大垂直地面反作用力产生于击球前;2)左侧背阔肌先于右侧胸大肌产生收缩。上述技术动作可使球杆在更快的速度下垂直于球产生碰撞。Jiann-Jyh Wang Pei-Feng Yang Wei-Hua Ho Tzyy-Yuang Shiang 2015Journal of Sport and Health Science2015,4,3:5

5I-doping of anodized TiO_2 nanotubes using an electrochemical method显示文摘In order to obtain TiO2 with high photocatalytic activity,a cathode reduction was used to dope I 7+ and I5+into TiO 2 nanotubes of anodized Ti in C2H2O4·2H2O+NH4F electrolyte.SEM images show that the anodization method integrated the preparation with the doping process,which for nonmetals-doping is advantageous to maintain the morphological integrity of TiO2 nanotubes. 6A computational model of the human glucose-insulin regulatory system显示文摘Objective:A computational model of insulin secretion and glucose metabolism for assisting the diagnosis of diabetes mellitus in clinical research is introduced.The proposed method for the estimation of parameters for a system of ordinary differential equations(ODEs)that represent the time course of plasma glucose and insulin concentrations during glucose tolerance test(GTT)in physiological studies is presented.The aim of this study was to explore how to interpret those laboratory glucose and insulin data as well as enhance the Ackerman mathematical model.Methods:Parameters estimation for a system of ODEs was performed by minimizing the sum of squared residuals(SSR)function,which quantifies the difference between theoretical model predictions and GTT's experimental observations.Our proposed perturbation search and multiple-shooting methods were applied during the estimating process.Results:Based on the Ackerman's published data,we estimated the key parameters by applying R-based iterative computer programs.As a result,the theoretically simulated curves perfectly matched the experimental data points.Our model showed that the estimated parameters,computed frequency and period values,were proven a good indicator of diabetes.Conclusion:The present paper introduces a computational algorithm to biomedical problems,particularly to endocrinology and metabolism fields,which involves two coupled differential equations with four parameters describing the glucose-insulin regulatory system that Ackerman proposed earlier.The enhanced approach may provide clinicians in endocrinology and metabolism field insight into the transition nature of human metabolic mechanism from normal to impaired glucose tolerance.Keh-Dong Shiang Fouad Kandeel 2010The Journal of Biomedical Research2010,24,5:2

8Various performance-enhancing effects from the same intensity of whole-body vibration training显示文摘Purpose:The purpose of this study was to compare the effects of an 8-week whole-body vibration training program in various frequency and amplitude settings under the same acceleration on the strength and power of the knee extensors.Methods:Sixty-four young participants were randomly assigned to 1 of 4 groups with the same acceleration(4 g):high frequency and low amplitude(n = 16,32 Hz,1 mm) group,medium frequency and medium amplitude(n = 16,18 Hz,3 mm) group,low frequency and high amplitude(n = 16,3 Hz,114 mm) group,and control(n = 16,no vibration) group.All participants underwent 8 weeks of training with body mass dynamic squats,3 sessions a week.Results:The results showed that the high frequency and low amplitude group increased significantly in isometric contraction strength and 120°/s isokinetic concentric contraction strength;the medium frequency and medium amplitude group increased significantly in 60°/s and 120°/s isokinetic strength of both concentric and eccentric contraction;and the low frequency and high amplitude group increased significantly in 60°/s and 120°/s isokinetic eccentric contraction strength.Conclusion:All frequency and amplitude settings in the 8-week whole-body vibration training increased muscle strength,but different settings resulted in various neuromuscular adaptations despite the same intensity.Paohung Chung Chiang Liu Hsinghsiang Wang Yu Liu Longren Chuang Tzyy-Yuang Shiang 2017Journal of Sport and Health Science2017,6,3:2
