1Single-atom heterogeneous catalysts based on distinct carbon nitride scaffolds显示文摘Carbon nitrides integrating macroheterocycles offer unique potential as hosts for stabilizing metal atoms due to their rich electronic structure. To date, only graphitic heptazine-based polymers have been studied.Here, we demonstrate that palladium atoms can be effectively isolated on other carbon nitride scaffolds including linear melem oligomers and poly(triazine/heptazine imides). Increased metal uptake was linked to the larger cavity size and the presence of chloride ions in the polyimide structures. Changing the host structure leads to significant variation in the average oxidation state of the metal, which can be tuned by exchange of the ionic species as evidenced by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and supported by density functional theory. Evaluation in the semi-hydrogenation of 2-methyl-3-butyn-2-ol reveals an inverse correlation between the activity and the degree of oxidation of palladium, with oligomers exhibiting the highest activity. 9Genotyping-by-sequencing of Brassica oleracea vegetables reveals unique phylogenetic patterns, population structure and domestication footprints显示文摘Brassica oleracea forms a diverse and economically significant crop group.Improvement efforts are often hindered by limited knowledge of diversity contained within available germplasm.Here,we employ genotyping-by-sequencing to investigate a diverse panel of 85 landrace and improved B.oleracea broccoli,cauliflower,and Chinese kale entries.Ultimately,21,680 high-quality SNPs were used to reveal a complex and admixed population structure and clarify phylogenetic relationships among B.oleracea groups.Each broccoli landrace contained,on average,8.4 times as many unique alleles as an improved broccoli and landraces collectively represented 81%of all broccoli-specific alleles.Commercial broccoli hybrids were largely represented by a single subpopulation identified within a complex population structure.Greater allelic diversity in landrace broccoli and 96.1%of SNPs differentiating improved cauliflower from landrace cauliflower were common to the larger pool of broccoli germplasm,supporting a parallel or later development of cauliflower due to introgression events from broccoli.Chinese kale was readily distinguished by principal coordinate analysis.Genotyping was accomplished with and without reliance upon a reference genome producing 141,317 and 20,815 filtered SNPs,respectively,supporting robust SNP discovery methods in neglected or unimproved crop groups that lack a reference genome.This work clarifies the population structure,phylogeny,and domestication footprints of landrace and improved B.oleracea broccoli using many genotyping-by-sequencing markers.Additionally,a large pool of genetic diversity contained in broccoli landraces is described which may enhance future breeding efforts.Zachary Stansell Katie Hyma Jonathan Fresnedo-Ramírez Qi Sun Sharon Mitchell Thomas Björkman Jian Hua 2018Horticulture Research2018,5,1:1

14Whole Body Vibration:The Effect of Position and Frequency on Perceived Exertion in Healthy,Active Adults显示文摘Whole Body Vibration(WBV)is a new exercise trend in fitness and performance enhancement.WBV platforms oscillate over a range of frequencies and amplitudes;however no study to date has examined the experience of perceived exertion with differences in vibration frequency and static or dynamic body position,nor examined the difference between sexes based on position and frequency during WBV.The purpose of this study was to assess the effects of position and frequency on perceived exertion during WBV in healthy,active adults.A convenience sample of 39 healthy young adults who participated in moderated exercise was blinded and randomly allocated to six WBV conditions composed of different frequency and position combinations.The participants received instruction,provided informed consent,participated in a warm-up session,and then reported rating of perceived exertion for each WBV condition.A 2×3 within-subjects multivariate approach ANOVA was conducted against an alpha of 0.05.A statistically significant main effect of position(p=0.004)and significant main effect of frequency(p=0.025)were found.Significant marginal means were found between the frequencies of 0 Hz and 50 Hz(p=0.007).Statistically significant differences were found between sexes for all combinations.Annette Karim Elizabeth Lemos Huynh Nguyen Katy Mitchell Toni Roddey Sharon Olson 2019Journal of Health Science2019,7,1:0
