2Genesis of the Wulong gold deposit,Liaoning Province,NE China:Constrains from noble gases,radiogenic and stable isotope studies显示文摘TheWulong lode deposit contains over 80 tonnes of gold with an average grade of 5.35 g/t.It is one of the largest deposits in Dandong City,Liaoning Province in northeast China.Previous studies on the deposit focused on its geological characteristics,geochemistry,fluid inclusions,and the timing of gold mineralization.However,controversy remains regarding the origin of the ore-forming fluids and metals,and the genesis of the gold deposit.This paper presents zircon UePb and pyrite RbeSr ages and S,Pb,He,and Ar isotopic results along with quartz H and O isotopic data for all litho-units associated with the deposit.Laser ablation inductively coupled mass spectrometry measurements yielded zircon UePb dates for samples of pre-mineralization rocks like granite porphyry dike,the Sanguliu granodiorite,fine-grained diorite,and syn-mineralization diorite,as well as post-mineralization dolerite,and lamprophyre;their emplacement ages are 1261 Ma,1241 Ma,1231 Ma,1201 Ma,1192 Ma,and 1152 Ma,respectively.The pyrite RbeSr isochron age is 1191 Ma,indicating that both magmatism and mineralization occurred during the Early Cretaceous.The d18OH2O values of ore-forming hydrothermal fluids from the quartzepolymetallic sulfide vein stage vary from 4.8&to 6.5&,and the dDV-SMOW values are between67.7&and75.9&,indicating that the ore-forming fluids were primarily magmatic.The noble gas isotope compositions of fluid inclusions hosted in pyrite suggest that the ore-forming fluids were dominantly derived from crustal sources with minor mantle input.Sulfur isotopic values of pyrite vary between 0.2&and 3.5&,suggesting that S was derived from a homogeneous magmatic source or possibly from fluids derived from the crust.The Pb isotopic compositions of sulfides(207Pb/204Pb?15.51 e15.71,206Pb/204Pb?17.35e18.75,208Pb/204Pb?38.27e40.03)indicate that the Pb of the Wulong gold deposit is a mixture of crust and mantle components.Geochronological and geochemical data,together with the regional geological history,indicate that Early Cretaceous magmatism and mineralization of the Wulong gold deposit occurred during the rollback of the subducting Paleo-Pacific Plate,which resulted in lithospheric thinning and the destruction of the North China Craton(NCC),which indicates that the deposit is of magmaticehydrothermal origin.Peng Zhang Linlin Kou Yan Zhao Zhongwei Bi Deming Sha Renping Han Zhumin Li 2020Geoscience Frontiers2020,11,2:13
3Genistein suppresses the mitochondrial apoptotic pathway in hippocampal neurons in rats with Alzheimer's disease显示文摘Genistein is effective against amyloid-β toxicity,but the underlying mechanisms are unclear.We hypothesized that genistein may protect neurons by inhibiting the mitochondrial apoptotic pathway,and thereby play a role in the prevention of Alzheimer's disease.A rat model of Alzheimer's disease was established by intraperitoneal injection of D-galactose and intracerebral injection of amyloid-β peptide(25–35).In the genistein treatment groups,a 7-day pretreatment with genistein(10,30,90 mg/kg) was given prior to establishing Alzheimer's disease model,for 49 consecutive days.Terminal deoxyribonucleotidyl transferase-mediated d UTP nick end labeling assay demonstrated a reduction in apoptosis in the hippocampus of rats treated with genistein.Western blot analysis showed that expression levels of capase-3,Bax and cytochrome c were decreased compared with the model group.Furthermore,immunohistochemical staining revealed reductions in cytochrome c and Bax immunoreactivity in these rats.Morris water maze revealed a substantial shortening of escape latency by genistein in Alzheimer's disease rats.These findings suggest that genistein decreases neuronal loss in the hippocampus,and improves learning and memory ability.The neuroprotective effects of genistein are associated with the inhibition of the mitochondrial apoptotic pathway,as shown by its ability to reduce levels of caspase-3,Bax and cytochrome c.Yan Wang Biao Cai Jing Sha Ting-ting Wang Run-ze Cai Chang-ju Ma Tao Han Jun Du 2016Neural Regeneration Research2016,11,7:12

5Effect of Tiaoshen Kaiqiao acupuncture in the treatment of ischemic post-stroke depression:a randomized controlled trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To observe the effect of Tiaoshen Kaiqiao acupuncture in the treatment of ischemic post-stroke depression.METHODS:This research was a single-blind, positive-controlled trial done in a single entity.Totally58 patients with ischemic post-stroke depression were randomly divided into two groups.The acupuncture group was given Tiaoshen Kaiqiao acupuncture therapy and placebo starch tablets treatment,while the control group was treated with fluoxetine tablets and body acupuncture treatment.Evaluated the clinical efficacy of the two groups with Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD),Anti Depression Drug Side Effects Rating Scale(SERS), Clinical Global Impression Scale(CGI) respectively before treatment, the fourth weekend of treatment, the eighth weekend of treatment,the twelfth weekend of treatment.The adverse reactions in two groups were observed and documented.RESULTS:The HAMD scale scores of the two groups in different treatment period were significantly decreased compared with that before treatment(P < 0.05); the score reduction of HAMD scale between the two groups had no significant differences(P > 0.05).There was significant difference between the SERS scores of two groups(P < 0.05); the control group had more adverse reactions, and the score would be increased with the extension of treatment time.Effect index(EI) of CGI in the acupuncture group is better than that of control group(P < 0.05).CONCLUSION:The effects of Tiaoshen Kaiqiao acupuncture and fluoxetine in the treatment of ischemic post-stroke depression were similar, but the former had no obvious adverse reaction and side effects.Li Menghan Zhang Bo Meng Zhihong Sha Tao Han Yuhui Zhao Hong Zhang Chunhong 2017Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2017,37,2:10
6Effect of replacing antibiotics using multi-enzyme preparations on production performance and antioxidant activity in piglets显示文摘The study was conducted to investigate the effects of replacing antibiotics using multi-enzyme preparations on growth performance,coefficient of total tract apparent digestibility,digestive enzyme activity,and antioxidant property in piglets.A total of 160 piglets((21.35±0.22)kg)were randomly assigned to five dietary treatments:1)basal diet supplemented with antibiotics(AC),2)antibiotic diet supplemented with 0.5 g kg^(–1) multi-enzyme preparations(AC+0.5EP),3)antibiotic diet supplemented with 1.5 g kg^(–1) multi-enzyme preparations(AC+1.5EP),4)basal diet supplemented with a half dosage of antibiotics and 1.5 g kg^(–1) multi-enzyme preparations(AH+1.5EP),and 5)basal diet supplemented with 1.5 g kg^(–1) multienzyme preparations(BC+1.5EP).The results showed that AC+1.5EP significantly improved the feed efficiency,apparent digestibility of ether extract(EE)and crude ash(CA),lipase activity in pancreas and duodenum content,maltase and lactase activity in jejunum and ileum mucosa,glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px)concentration in serum and liver,and decreased malondialdehyde(MDA)concentration in serum and liver compared with piglets receiving AC(P<0.05).Piglets receiving BC+1.5EP showed no significant difference in growth performance(P>0.05)but had lower MDA concentration than piglets receiving AC(P<0.05).The apparent digestibility of EE and crude fiber(CF),duodenal lipase activity,jejunum mucosa maltase,and ileum mucosa lactase activity of piglets receiving AH+1.5EP or BC+1.5EP were significantly improved compared with piglets receiving AC(P<0.05).These results indicated an additive growth promotion effect between antibiotics and multi-enzyme preparations on piglets,and the multi-enzyme preparations may be used as substitutes for antibiotics for improving piglet production performance and health status.HAN Xin-yan YAN Feng-ying NIE Xin-zheng XIA Wei CHEN Sha ZHANG Xiao-xu QIAN Li-chun 2017Journal of Integrative Agriculture2017,16,3:9
7Advanced oxidation of bromide-containing drinking water: A balance between bromate and trihalomethane formation control显示文摘Addition of H2O2 has been employed to repress bromate formation during ozonation of bromide-containing source water.However,the addition of H2O2 will change the oxidation pathways of organic compounds due to the generation of abundant hydroxyl radicals,which could afect the removal efcacy of trihalomethane precursors via the combination of ozone and biological activated carbon(O3-BAC).In this study,we evaluated the efects of H2O2 addition on bromate formation and trihalomethane formation potential(THMFP)reduction during treatment of bromide-containing(97.6–129.1μg/L)source water by the O3-BAC process.At an ozone dose of 4.2 mg/L,an H2O2/O3(g/g)ratio of over 1.0 was required to maintain the bromate concentration below 10.0μg/L,while a much lower H2O2/O3ratio was sufcient for a lower ozone dose.An H2O2/O3(g/g)ratio below 0.3 should be avoided since the bromate concentration will increase with increasing H2O2 dose below this ratio.However,the addition of H2O2 at an ozone dose of 3.2 mg/L and an H2O2/O3 ratio of 1.0 resulted in a 43% decrease in THMFP removal when compared with the O3-BAC process.The optimum H2O2/O3(g/g) ratio for balancing bromate and trihalomethane control was about 0.7–1.0.Fractionation of organic materials showed that the addition of H2O2 decreased the removal efcacy of the hydrophilic matter fraction of DOC by ozonation and increased the reactivity of the hydrophobic fractions during formation of trihalomethane,which may be the two main reasons responsible for the decrease in THMFP reduction efcacy.Overall,this study clearly demonstrated that it is necessary to balance bromate reduction and THMFP control when adopting an H2O2 addition strategy.Yongjing Wang Jianwei Yu Po Han Jing Sha Tao Li Wei An Juan Liu Min Yang 2013Journal of Environmental Sciences2013,25,11:9
8Effect of Tangweian Jianji on upper gastrointestinal remodeling in streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats显示文摘AIM:To investigate the effect of Tangweian Jianji(TWAJJ) on the biomechanical and morphometrical remodeling of the upper gastrointestinal tract in diabetic rats.METHODS:Diabetes was induced in 27 rats by injecting streptozotocin(40 mg/kg body weight),the animals were then divided into three groups(n = 9 in each group),i.e.,diabetic control(DM);high dose(10 g/kg,T1) and low dose(5 g/kg,T2).Another 10 rats acted as normal controls(Control).TWAJJ was administered by gavage once daily.Blood glucose and serum insulin levels were measured.Circumferential length,wall thickness and opening angle were measured from esophageal,duodenal,jejunal and ileal ring segments.The residual strain was calculated from the morphometric data.Step-wise distension was carried out on esophageal and jejunal segments.The obtained data on the length,diameter and pressure changes were then used to calculate the circumferential and longitudinal stresses and strains.Real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction was used to detect the receptor of advanced glycation end-products(RAGE) mRNA level in jejunal tissues.RESULTS:At the end of the experiment,the blood glucose level was significantly higher and the serum insulin level was significantly lower in DM,T1 and T2 groups than in the control group(Glucose:30.23 ± 0.41 mmol/L,27.48 ± 0.27 mmol/L and 27.84 ± 0.29 mmol/L vs 5.05 ± 0.04 mmol/L,P = 1.65 × 10-16,P = 5.89 × 10-19 and P = 1.63 × 10-18,respectively;Insulin:1.47 ± 0.32 g/L,2.66 ± 0.44 g/L,2.03 ± 0.29 g/L and 4.17 ± 0.54 g/L,P = 0.0001,P = 0.029 and P = 0.025,respectively).However,these levels did not differ among the DM,T1 and T2 groups.The wet weight per unit length,wall thickness and opening angle of esophageal and intestinal segments in the DM group were significantly higher than those in the control group(from P = 0.009 to P = 0.004).These parameters in the T1 group were significantly lower than those in the DM group(wet weight,duodenum:0.147 ± 0.003 g/cm vs 0.158 ± 0.001 g/cm,P = 0.047;jejunum,0.127 ± 0.003 g/cm vs 0.151 ± 0.002 g/cm,P = 0.017;ileum,0.127 ± 0.004 g/cm vs 0.139 ± 0.003 g/cm,P = 0.046;wall thickness,esophagus:0.84 ± 0.03 mm vs 0.94 ± 0.02 mm,P = 0.014;duodenum:1.27 ± 0.06 mm vs 1.39 ± 0.05 mm,P = 0.031;jejunum:1.19 ± 0.07mm vs 1.34 ± 0.04 mm,P = 0.047;ileum:1.09 ± 0.04 mm vs 1.15 ± 0.03 mm,P = 0.049;opening angle,esophagus:112.2 ± 13.2 vs 134.7 ± 14.7,P = 0.027;duodenum:105.9 ± 12.3 vs 123.1 ± 13.1,P = 0.046;jejunum:90.1 ± 15.4 vs 115.5 ± 13.3,P = 0.044;ileum:112.9 ± 13.4 vs 136.1 ± 17.1,P = 0.035).In the esophageal and jejunal segments,the inner residual stain was significantly smaller and the outer residual strain was larger in the DM group than in the control group(P = 0.022 and P = 0.035).T1 treatment significantly restored this biomechanical alteration(P = 0.011 and P = 0.019),but T2 treatment did not.Furthermore,the circumferential and longitudinal stiffness of the esophageal and jejunal wall increased in the DM group compared with those in the control group.T1,but not T2 treatment,significantly decreased the circumferential wall stiffness in the jejunal segment(P = 0.012) and longitudinal wall stiffness in the esophageal segment(P = 0.023).The mRNA level of RAGE was significantly decreased in the T1 group compared to that in the DM group(P = 0.0069).CONCLUSION:TWAJJ(high dose) treatment partly restored the morphometric and biomechanical remodeling of the upper gastrointestinal tract in diabetic rats.Gui-Fang Liu Jing-Bo Zhao Zhong Zhen Hong Sha Peng-Min Chen Min Li Jia-Cheng Zhang Ming-Ze Yuan Wen Gao Hans Gregersen Xiao-Lin Tong 2012World Journal of Gastroenterology2012,18,35:8
9Effect of Kaiyu Qingwei Jianji on the morphometry and residual strain distribution of small intestine in experimental diabetic rats显示文摘AIM: To investigate the effect of a Chinese medicine, Kaiyu Qingwei Jianji (KYQWJJ) used for diabetic treatment, on the morphometry and residual strain distribution of the small intestine in streptozotocin (STZ) -induced diabetic rats. Correlation analysis was also performed between the opening angle and residual strain with the blood glucose level. METHODS: Forty-two male Wistar rats weighing 220-240 g were included in this study. Thirty-two STZ- induced diabetic rats were subdivided into four groups (n = 8 in each group), i.e. diabetic control group (DM); high dose of KYQWJJ (T1, 36g/kg per day); low dose of KYQWJJ (T2, 17 g/kg per day) and Gliclazide (T3, 50 mg/kg per day). Another ten rats were used as non- diabetic control (CON). The medicines were poured directly into stomach lumen by gastric lavage twice daily. The rats of CON and DM groups were only poured the physiological saline. Blood glucose and plasma insulin levels were measured. Experimental period was 35 d. At the end of experiment, three 5-cm long segments were harvested from the duodenum, jejunum and ileum. Three rings of 1-2 mm in length for no-load and zero-stress state tests were cut from the middle of different segments. The morphometric data, such as the circumferential length, the wall thickness and the opening angle were measured from the digitized images of intestinal segments in the no-load state and zero- stress state. The residual strain was computed from the morphometry data. Furthermore, the linear regressionanalysis was performed between blood glucose level with morphometric and biomechanical data in the different intestinal segments. RESULTS: The blood glucose level of DM group was consistent 4-fold to 5-fold higher than those in CON group during the experiment (16.89 ± 1.11 vs 3.44 ± 0.15 mmol/L, P < 0.001). The blood glucose level in the T1 (16.89 ± 1.11 vs 11.08 ± 2.67 mmol/L, P < 0.01) and T3 groups (16.89 ± 1.11 vs 13.54 ± 1.73 mmol/L, P < 0.05), but not in T2 group (P > 0.05) was significantly lower than those in DM group. The plasma insulin levels of DM, T1, T2 and T3 groups were significantly lower than those in CON group (10.98 ± 1.02, 12.52 ± 1.42,13.54 ± 1.56,10.96 ± 0.96 vs 17.84 ± 2.34 pmol/L respectively, P < 0.05), but no significantly difference among the groups with exception of CON group. The wet weight/cm and total wall thickness of duodenum, jejunum and ileum in DM group were significantly higher than those in CON group (wet weight (g/cm): duodenum 0.209 ± 0.012 vs 0.166 ± 0.010, jejunum 0.149 ± 0.008 vs 0.121 ± 0.004, ileum 0.134 ± 0.013 vs 0.112 ± 0.007; Wall thickness (mm): duodenum 0.849 ± 0.027 vs 0.710 ± 0.026, jejunum 0.7259 ± 0.034 vs 0.627 ± 0.025, ileum 0.532 ± 0.023 vs 0.470 ± 0.010, all P < 0.05), T1 and T3 treatment could partly restore change of wall thickness, but T2 could not. The opening angle and absolute value of inner and outer residual stain were significantly smaller in duodenal segment (188 ± 11 degrees, -0.31 ± 0.02 and 0.35 ± 0.03 vs 259 ± 15 degrees, -0.40 ± 0.02 and 0.43 ± 0.05) and larger in jejunal (215 ± 20 degrees, -0.30 ± 0.03 and 0.36 ± 0.06 vs 172 ± 19 degrees, -0.25 ± 0.02 and 0.27 ± 0.02) and ileal segments (183 ± 20 degrees, -0.28 ± 0.01 and 0.34 ± 0.05 vs 153 ± 14 degrees, -0.23 ± 0.03 and 0.29 ± 0.04) in DM group than in CON group (P < 0.01). T1 and T3 treatment could partly restore this biomechanical alteration, but strong effect was found in T1 treatment (duodenum 243 ± 14 degrees, -0.36 ± 0.02 and 0.42 ± 0.06, jejunum 180 ± 15 degrees, -0.26 ± 0.03 and 0.30 ± 0.06 and ileum 163 ± 17 degrees, -0.23 ± 0.03 and 0.30 ± 0.05, compared with DM, P < 0.05). The linear association was found between the glucose level with most morphometric and biomechanical data. CONCLUSION: KYQWJJ (high dose) treatment could partly restore the changes of blood glucose level and the remodeling of morphometry and residual strain of small intestine in diabetic rats. 11Biofilm-inspired adhesive and antibacterial hydrogel with tough tissue integration performance for sealing hemostasis and wound healing显示文摘Uncontrolled bleeding and infection can cause significant increases in mortalities.Hydrogel sealants have attracted extensive attention for their ability to control bleeding.However,because interfacial water is a formidable barrier to strong surface bonding,a challenge remains in finding a product that offers robust tissue adhesion combined with anti-infection properties.Inspired by the strong adhesive mechanism of biofilm and mussels,we report a novel dual bionic adhesive hydrogel(DBAH)based on chitosan grafted with methacrylate(CS-MA),dopamine(DA),and N-hydroxymethyl acrylamide(NMA)via a facile radical polymerization process.CS-MA and DA were simultaneously included in the adhesive polymer for imitating the two key adhesive components:polysaccharide intercellular adhesin(PIA)of staphylococci biofilm and 3,4-dihydroxy-L-phenylalanine(Dopa)of mussel foot protein,respectively.DBAH presented strong adhesion at 34 kPa even upon three cycles of full immersion in water and was able to withstand up to 168 mm Hg blood pressure,which is significantly higher than the 60–160 mm Hg measured in most clinical settings.Most importantly,these hydrogels presented outstanding hemostatic capability under wet and dynamic in vivo movements while displaying excellent antibacterial properties and biocompatibility.Therefore,DBAH represents a promising class of biomaterials for high-efficiency hemostasis and wound healing.Wei Han Bo Zhou Kai Yang Xin Xiong Shifang Luan Yu Wang Zheng Xu Peng Lei Zhengshan Luo Jian Gao Yijing Zhan Guopu Chen Lei Liang Rui Wang Sha Li Hong Xu 2020Bioactive Materials2020,5,4:6
12Anisotropic surface roughness and shear behaviors of rough-walled plaster joints under constant normal load and constant normal stiffness conditions显示文摘In this context,we experimentally studied the anisotropic mechanical behaviors of rough-walled plaster joints using a servo-controlled direct shear apparatus under both constant normal load(CNL)and constant normal stiffness(CNS)conditions.The shear-induced variations in the normal displacement,shear stress,normal stress and sheared-off asperity mass are analyzed and correlated with the inclination angle of the critical waviness of joint surfaces.The results show that CNS condition gives rise to a smaller normal displacement due to the larger normal stress during shearing,compared with CNL condition.Under CNL conditions,there is one peak shear stress during shearing,whereas there are no peak shear stress for some cases and two peaks for other cases under CNS conditions depending on the geometry of joint surfaces.The inclination angle of the critical waviness has been verified to be capable of describing the joint surface roughness and anisotropy.The joint surface is more significantly damaged under CNS conditions than that under CNL conditions.With increment of the inclination angle of the critical waviness,both the normal displaceme nt and shea red-off asperity mass increase,following power law functions;yet the coefficient of deternination under CNL conditions is larger than that under CNS conditions.This is because the CNS condition significantly decreases the inclination angle of the critical waviness during shearing due to the larger degree of asperity degradation.Richeng Liu Sha Lou Xiaojing Li Guansheng Han Yujing Jiang 2020Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2020,12,2:5
13Interface structures and mechanical properties of corrugated + flat rolled and traditional rolled Mg/Al clad plates显示文摘The corrugated + flat rolling(CFR) and traditional rolling(TR) methods were used to prepare Mg/Al clad plates using AZ31 B Mg and 5052 Al plates, and the interface morphologies and mechanical properties of the resulting clad plates were compared. Examination of the microstructures of the plates showed that the TRed Mg/Al clad plate presented a straight interface, while a corrugated interface containing fractured intermetallic particulates was observed for the CFRed plate due to the inhomogeneous strain induced by the corrugated roller. During the CFR process, the corrugated roller can accelerate the rupture of the substrate work-hardening layers and facilitate the mutual extrusion of fresh metals to enhance the interface bonding. Compared with the traditional basal texture of the Mg alloy, the CFR process can change the texture morphology, thereby enhancing the plastic deformation ability of the Mg plate. Tensile tests showed that the CFRed Mg/Al clad plate exhibited a higher ultimate tensile strength(UTS, 316 MPa), which was~ 8% higher than that of the TRed plate(293 MPa). In addition, the bending curve of the CFRed clad plate was smooth and there was no stress sudden drop phenomenon in the bending process. 14Consensus on the digestive endoscopic tunnel technique显示文摘With the digestive endoscopic tunnel technique(DETT), many diseases that previously would have been treated by surgery are now endoscopically curable by establishing a submucosal tunnel between the mucosa and muscularis propria(MP). Through the tunnel, endoscopic diagnosis or treatment is performed for lesions in the mucosa, in the MP, and even outside the gastrointestinal(GI) tract.At present, the tunnel technique application range covers the following:(1)Treatment of lesions originating from the mucosal layer, e.g., endoscopic submucosal tunnel dissection for oesophageal large or circular early-stage cancer or precancerosis;(2) treatment of lesions from the MP layer, per-oral endoscopic myotomy, submucosal tunnelling endoscopic resection, etc.; and(3) diagnosis and treatment of lesions outside the GI tract, such as resection of lymph nodes and benign tumour excision in the mediastinum or abdominal cavity. With the increasing number of DETTs performed worldwide, endoscopic tunnel therapeutics, which is based on DETT, has been gradually developed and optimized. However, there is not yet an expert consensus on DETT to regulate its indications, contraindications, surgical procedure, and postoperative treatment.The International DETT Alliance signed up this consensus to standardize the procedures of DETT. 15Effects of propofol on early and late cytokines in lipopolysaccharideinduced septic shock in rats显示文摘Objective:It has been reported that the intravenous anesthetic propofol(PPF)has anti-inflammatory effects in vitro and in patients.The purpose of this study was to investigate whether PPF has anti-inflammatory effects in lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced septic shock by inhibiting the induction of pro-inflammatory cytokinesinterleukin-6(IL-6)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)and high mobility group box 1(HMGB1)in rats.Methods:Thirty six male Wistar rats were randomly assigned to one of three groups(control group,PPF+LPS group and LPS group;n=12 per group).Control group rats received a 0.9%NaCl solution(NS)by the tail vein.The PPF+ LPS group rats received PPF(10 mg/kg bolus,followed by infusion at 10 mg/(kg·h)through a femoral vein catheter)1 h before LPS(7.5 mg/kg)administration via the tail vein.The LPS group rats received injection of LPS(7.5 mg/kg)via the tail vein.Hemodynamic effects were recorded as well as mortality rates,and plasma cytokine concentrations(TNF-α,IL-6,HMGB1)were measured for the 24-h observation period.Results:The mean arterial pressure and heart rate of the PPF+LPS group were more stable than those of the LPS group.The mortality at 24 h after the administration of the LPS injection was much higher in the LPS group(58.3%)compared to the PPF+ LPS group(25.0%).Plasma concentrations of cytokines(IL-6 and TNF-α)and HMGB1 were significantly reduced in the PPF+LPS group compared to the LPS group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Pretreatment with PPF reduced the mortality rate of rats and attenuated the pro-inflammatory cytokine responses in an endotoxin shock model through an anti-inflammatory action inhibiting induction of HMGB1.Sha Li Hongguang Bao Liu Han Lele Liu 2010The Journal of Biomedical Research2010,24,5:4

20Multifactor analysis of patients with oral sensory complaints in a case-control study显示文摘Background:There are an increasing number of patients with oral sensory complaints(OSCs)presenting to our dental clinic.For most dentists,it is difficult to distinguish burning mouth syndrome(BMS)from other oral mucosal diseases that may cause symptoms such as burning mouth.It is beneficial to effectively distinguish OSC patients to reduce misdiagnosis and eliminate burning symptoms as much as possible.Methods:Patients with oral burning sensations in the oral mucosal disease clinic were collected from the Peking University Hospital of Stomatology between September 1,2014 and December 31,2018.After excluding oral candidiasis,anemic stomatitis,dental material allergy,and other diseases from patients with oral sensory complaints,basic conditions such as gender,age,education level,job status,hyperglycemia,hypertension,hyperlipidemia,history of brain abnormalities,history of cervical spondylitis,history of thyroid disease,history of thyroid disease and insomnia were obtained.The BMS patients were compared with the control group.The t test and Chi-square test were used for statistical analysis to compare the clinical symptoms of these diseases and explore the risk factors for BMS.Results:In this case-control study,395 patients(321 females and 74 males,mean age 55.26±10.51 years)with oral sensory complaints and 391 healthy controls(281 females and 110 males,mean age 47.11±13.10 years)were enrolled,among which,8.4%(33/395)had oral candidiasis,1.3%(5/395)had dental material allergy,0.8%(3/395)had anemic stomatitis and 0.5%(2/395)had lichen planus.A total of 352 patients were eventually diagnosed with BMS.Anxiety and depression were more severe in BMS patients,as were the incidences of sleep disorders and brain abnormalities.Logistic regression analysis showed that age(odds ratio[OR]=2.79,95%confidence interval[CI]:1.61-4.83,P<0.001),total cholesterol level(OR=2.92,95%CI:1.32-6.50,P=0.009)and anxiety score(OR=1.75,95%CI:1.01-2.77,P=0.017)significantly increased the incidence of BMS.Patients with hyperglycemia(OR=0.46,95%CI:0.23-0.89,P=0.022),low body mass index(BMI:OR=0.57,95%CI:0.34-0.93,P=0.026)and low education level(OR=3.43,95%CI:1.91-6.15,P<0.001)were more likely to suffer from BMS.Conclusions:Oral candidiasis,anemic stomatitis,and dental material allergy with burning symptoms should be excluded from patients with BMS.It is recommended to conduct a questionnaire survey(including anxiety and depression),blood cell analysis,and salivary fungus culture for all patients with an oral burning sensation.It is necessary to conduct a patch test on patients with oral burning sensations and metal restorations.Jian-Qiu Jin Hong-Mei Cui Ying Han Sha Su Hong-Wei Liu 2020Chinese Medical Journal2020,,23:3
