1Variations of pore water sulfate gradients in sediments as indicator for underlying gas hydrate in Shenhu Area, the South China Sea显示文摘Shenhu Area is one of the most promising areas for gas hydrate exploration in the northern South China Sea (SCS). Pore water sulfate gradient, sulfate-methane interface (SMI) depth, and sulfate flux were analyzed at 53 sites in this area. SO42 gradient ranges between 0.33 and 4.43 mmol L-1 m-1 . SMI depths are from 7.7 to 87.9mbsf. Sulfate flux varies between 2.0 and 26.9 mmol m-2 yr-1 , with a mean of 11.7 mmol m-2 yr-1 . Correlation coefficient between SMI depth and methane flux for the 53 sites is 0.80, implying that methane flux regulates the rate of anaerobic methane oxidation (AMO), SMI depth, and sulfate flux. Twelve anomalous fields with high methane flux and steep sulfate gradients were recognized. Bottom simulating reflector (BSR) is distributed mainly in areas where SMI depth is less than 50 mbsf or places with sulfate flux larger than 3.5 mmol m-2 yr-1 . 2Types,Characteristics and Significances of Migrating Pathways of Gas-bearing Fluids in the Shenhu Area,Northern Continental Slope of the South China Sea显示文摘The first marine gas hydrate expedition in China has been conducted by Guangzhou Marine Geological Survey in the Shenhu Area, northern continental slope of the South China Sea. Previous study has analyzed the P-T conditions, geophysical anomalies and saturation calculations of these gas hydrates, but has not documented in detail the migration of gas-bearing fluids in the study area. Based on the interpretations of 2D/3D seismic data, this work identified two types of migration pathways for gas-bearing fluids in the Shenhu area, i.e., vertical and lateral pathways. The vertical pathways(largescale faults, gas chimneys and mud diapirs) presented as steep seismic reflection anomalies, which could be traced downward to the Eocene source rocks and may penetrate into the Late Miocene strata. The deeper gases/fluids might be allowed migrating into the shallower strata through these vertical conduits. However, the distributions showed distinct differences between these pathways. Large-scale faults developed only in the north and northeast of the Shenhu area, while in the drilling area gas chimneys were the sole vertical migration pathways. Since the Pliocene, normal faults, detachment faults and favorable sediments have constituted the lateral pathways in the Shenhu gas hydrate drilling area. Although these lateral pathways were connected with gas chimneys, they exerted different effects on hydrate formation and accumulation. Gas-bearing fluids migrated upward along gas chimneys might further migrate laterally because of the normal faults, thereby enlarging the range of the chimneys. Linking gas chimneys with the seafloor, the detachment faults might act as conduits for escaping gases/fluids. Re-deposited sediments developed at the early stage of the Quaternary were located within the gas hydrate stability zone, so hydrates would be enriched in these favorable sediments. Compared with the migration pathways(large-scale faults and mud diapirs) in the LW3-1 deep-sea oil/gas field, the migration efficiency of the vertical pathways(composed of gas chimneys) in the gas hydrate drilling area might be relatively low. Description and qualitative discrimination of migration pathways in the Shenhu gas hydrate drilling area are helpful to further understand the relationship between good-quality deep source rocks and shallow, mainly biogenicallyproduced, hydrates. As the main source rocks of the Baiyun sag, lacustrine mudstones in the Wenchang and Enping Formations may provide thermogenic methane. Gas chimneys with relatively low migration efficiency created the vertical pathways. Caused by the Dongsha tectonic movement, the release of overpressured fluids might reduce the vertical migration rates of the thermogenic methane. The thick bathyal/abyssal fine-grained sediments since the Late Miocene provided migration media with low permeability. These preconditions may cause carbon isotopic fractionation ofthermogenic methane during long-distance vertical migrations. 4Uncommon EGFR mutations in a cohort of Chinese NSCLC patients and outcomes of first-line EGFR-TKIs and platinum-based chemotherapy显示文摘Objective: Data on the clinical activity of epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitors(TKIs) in patients with non-small-cell lung cancer(NSCLC) and uncommon EGFR mutations remain insufficient.This study aimed to investigate the effect of first-line EGFR-TKIs or platinum-based chemotherapy in NSCLC patients with uncommon EGFR mutations.Methods: We retrospectively enrolled 504 patients with EGFR-mutant NSCLC.The clinical characteristics and treatment outcomes were collected and compared between patients with common and uncommon EGFR-mutant NSCLC.Results: Seventy patients(13.9%) harboring uncommon EGFR mutations were included.Thirty of these patients received EGFR-TKIs and 40 received platinum-based chemotherapy as first-line therapy.The objective response rate(ORR) and median progression-free survival(m PFS) of patients treated with TKIs in the uncommon mutation group was significantly inferior to that in the common mutation group(ORR: 23.3% vs.51.8%,P=0.003; m PFS:7.1 vs.10.9 months,P<0.001).In the uncommon group,m PFS was similar between first-line EGFR-TKIs treatment and platinum-based chemotherapy(7.1 vs.6.1 months,P=0.893).In patients with EGFR G719 X or L861 Q mutations,the m PFS was longer in the first-line EGFR-TKIs treatment group than in the chemotherapy group,but the difference was not statistically significant(G719 X: 8.2 vs.5.8 months,P=0.061; L861 Q: 7.6 vs.4.1 months,P=0.872).Multivariate analyses identified adenocarcinoma(P=0.003) as the independent predictive factor for PFS in patients with uncommon EGFR mutations who were treated with first-line EGFR-TKIs.Conclusions: The current study demonstrated that the effect of first-line EGFR-TKIs was similar to that of platinum-based chemotherapy in patients with uncommon EGFR-mutant NSCLC.Adenocarcinoma was the independent predictive factor for PFS in uncommon EGFR-mutant NSCLC patients treated with first-line EGFRTKIs.Jinpeng Shi Hui Yang Tao Jiang Xuefei Li Chao Zhao Limin Zhang Sha Zhao Xiaozhen Liu Yijun Jia Yan Wang Lei Xi Shijia Zhang Chunxia Su Shengxiang Ren Caicun Zhou 2017Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2017,29,6:6

8Multifactor analysis of patients with oral sensory complaints in a case-control study显示文摘Background:There are an increasing number of patients with oral sensory complaints(OSCs)presenting to our dental clinic.For most dentists,it is difficult to distinguish burning mouth syndrome(BMS)from other oral mucosal diseases that may cause symptoms such as burning mouth.It is beneficial to effectively distinguish OSC patients to reduce misdiagnosis and eliminate burning symptoms as much as possible.Methods:Patients with oral burning sensations in the oral mucosal disease clinic were collected from the Peking University Hospital of Stomatology between September 1,2014 and December 31,2018.After excluding oral candidiasis,anemic stomatitis,dental material allergy,and other diseases from patients with oral sensory complaints,basic conditions such as gender,age,education level,job status,hyperglycemia,hypertension,hyperlipidemia,history of brain abnormalities,history of cervical spondylitis,history of thyroid disease,history of thyroid disease and insomnia were obtained.The BMS patients were compared with the control group.The t test and Chi-square test were used for statistical analysis to compare the clinical symptoms of these diseases and explore the risk factors for BMS.Results:In this case-control study,395 patients(321 females and 74 males,mean age 55.26±10.51 years)with oral sensory complaints and 391 healthy controls(281 females and 110 males,mean age 47.11±13.10 years)were enrolled,among which,8.4%(33/395)had oral candidiasis,1.3%(5/395)had dental material allergy,0.8%(3/395)had anemic stomatitis and 0.5%(2/395)had lichen planus.A total of 352 patients were eventually diagnosed with BMS.Anxiety and depression were more severe in BMS patients,as were the incidences of sleep disorders and brain abnormalities.Logistic regression analysis showed that age(odds ratio[OR]=2.79,95%confidence interval[CI]:1.61-4.83,P<0.001),total cholesterol level(OR=2.92,95%CI:1.32-6.50,P=0.009)and anxiety score(OR=1.75,95%CI:1.01-2.77,P=0.017)significantly increased the incidence of BMS.Patients with hyperglycemia(OR=0.46,95%CI:0.23-0.89,P=0.022),low body mass index(BMI:OR=0.57,95%CI:0.34-0.93,P=0.026)and low education level(OR=3.43,95%CI:1.91-6.15,P<0.001)were more likely to suffer from BMS.Conclusions:Oral candidiasis,anemic stomatitis,and dental material allergy with burning symptoms should be excluded from patients with BMS.It is recommended to conduct a questionnaire survey(including anxiety and depression),blood cell analysis,and salivary fungus culture for all patients with an oral burning sensation.It is necessary to conduct a patch test on patients with oral burning sensations and metal restorations.Jian-Qiu Jin Hong-Mei Cui Ying Han Sha Su Hong-Wei Liu 2020Chinese Medical Journal2020,,23:3
9Bacterial community response to petroleum contamination in brackish tidal marsh sediments in the Yangtze River Estuary, China显示文摘The brackish tidal marsh in the Baimaosha area of the Yangtze River Estuary was severely contaminated by 400 tons of heavy crude petroleum from a tanker that sank in December 2012.The spill accident led to severe environmental damage owing to its high toxicity,persistence and wide distribution.Microbial communities play vital roles in petroleum degradation in marsh sediments.Therefore,taxonomic analysis,high-throughput sequencing and 16 S rRNA functional prediction were used to analyze the structure and function of microbial communities among uncontaminated(CK),lightly polluted(LP),heavily polluted(HP),and treated(TD)sediments.The bacterial communities responded with increased richness and decreased diversity when exposed to petroleum contamination.The dominant class changed from Deltaproteobacteria to Gammaproteobacteria after petroleum contamination.The phylum Firmicutes increased dramatically in oil-enriched sediment by 75.78%,346.19%and 267.26%in LP,HP and TD,respectively.One of the suspected oil-degrading genera,Dechloromonas,increased the most in oil-contaminated sediment,by 540.54%,711.27%and 656.78%in LP,HP and TD,respectively.Spore protease,quinate dehydrogenase(quinone)and glutathione-independent formaldehyde dehydrogenase,three types of identified enzymes,increased enormously with the increasing petroleum concentration.In conclusion,petroleum contamination altered the community composition and microorganism structure,and promoted some bacteria to produce the corresponding degrading enzymes.Additionally,the suspected petroleum-degrading genera should be considered when restoring oil-contaminated sediment.Min Wang Chenyan Sha Jian Wu Jinghua Su Jianqiang Wu Qing Wang Juan Tan Shenfa Huang 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,1:2

20CD4(+)CD25(+) treg induction by an HSP60-derived peptide SJMHE1 from schistosoma japonicum is TLR2 dependent显示文摘Chronic schistosome infection results in the suppression of host immune responses, allowing long-term schistosome survival and restricting pathology.Current theories suggest that Treg play an important role in this regulation.However, the mechanism of Treg induction during schistosome infection is still unknown.The aim of this study was to determine the mechanism behind the induction of CD4(+)CD25(+) T cells by Schistosoma japonicum HSP60(SjHSP60)-derived peptide SJMHE1 as well as to elucidate the cellular and molecular basis for the induction of CD4(+)CD25(+) T cells during S.japonicum infection.Mice immunized with SJMHE1 or spleen and LN cells from naive mice pretreated.with SJMHE1 in vitro all displayed an increase in CD4(+)CD25(+) T-cell populations.Release of IL-10 and TGF-beta by SJMHE1 stimulation may contribute to suppression.Adoptively transferred SJMHE1induced CD4(+)CD25(+) T cells inhibited delayed-type hypersensitivity in BALB / c mice.Additionally, SJMHE1-treated APC were tolerogenic and induced CD4(+) cells to differentiate into suppressive CD4(+)CD25(+) Treg.Furthermore, our data support a role for TLR2 in SJMHE1-mediated CD4(+)CD25(+) Treg induction.These findings provide the basis for a more complete understanding of the S.japonicum-host interactions that contribute to host homeostatic mechanisms, preventing an excessive immune response.Wang, Xuefeng Zhou, Sha Chi, Ying Wen, Xiaoyun Hoellwarth, Jason He, Lei Liu, Feng Wu, Calvin Dhesi, Shawn Zhao, Jiaqing Hu, Wei Su, Chuan 2010南京医科大学学报(自然科学版)2010,30,1:1
