| 1 | Genesis of the Wulong gold deposit,Liaoning Province,NE China:Constrains from noble gases, radiogenic and stable isotope studies显示文摘TheWulong lode deposit contains over 80 tonnes of gold with an average grade of 5.35 g/t.It is one of the largest deposits in Dandong City,Liaoning Province in northeast China.Previous studies on the deposit focused on its geological characteristics, geochemistry, fluid inclusions, and the timing of gold mineralization. However, controversy remains regarding the origin of the ore-forming fluids and metals, and the genesis of the gold deposit. This paper presents zircon UePb and pyrite RbeSr ages and S,Pb,He,and Ar isotopic results along with quartz H and O isotopic data for all litho-units associated with the deposit.Laser ablation inductively coupled mass spectrometry measurements yielded zircon UePb dates for samples of pre-mineralization rocks like granite porphyry dike, the Sanguliu granodiorite,fine-grained diorite, and syn-mineralization diorite,as well as post-mineralization dolerite, and lamprophyre;their emplacement ages are 1261 Ma,1241 Ma,1231 Ma,1201 Ma,1192 Ma,and 1152 Ma,respectively. The pyrite RbeSr isochron age is 1191 Ma,indicating that both magmatism and mineralization occurred during the Early Cretaceous. The d18OH2O values of ore-forming hydrothermal fluids from the quartzepolymetallic sulfide vein stage vary from 4.8&to 6.5&,and the dDV-SMOW values are between67.7&and75.9&,indicating that the ore-forming fluids were primarily magmatic. The noble gas isotope compositions of fluid inclusions hosted in pyrite suggest that the ore-forming fluids were dominantly derived from crustal sources with minor mantle input.Sulfur isotopic values of pyrite vary between 0.2&and 3.5&,suggesting that S was derived from a homogeneous magmatic source or possibly from fluids derived from the crust. The Pb isotopic compositions of sulfides(207Pb/204Pb?15.51 e15.71,206Pb/204Pb?17.35e18.75,208Pb/204Pb?38.27e40.03)indicate that the Pb of the Wulong gold deposit is a mixture of crust and mantle components.Geochronological and geochemical data, together with the regional geological history, indicate that Early Cretaceous magmatism and mineralization of the Wulong gold deposit occurred during the rollback of the subducting Paleo-Pacific Plate, which resulted in lithospheric thinning and the destruction of the North China Craton(NCC),which indicates that the deposit is of magmaticehydrothermal origin. | Peng Zhang Linlin Kou Yan Zhao Zhongwei Bi Deming Sha Renping Han Zhumin Li | 2020 | Geoscience Frontiers2020,11,2: | 13 |
| 2 | Genesis of the Maoling gold deposit in the Liaodong Peninsula:Constraints from a combined fluid inclusion,C-H-O-S-Pb-He-Ar isotopic and geochronological studies显示文摘The large tonnage Maoling gold deposit(25 t@3.2 g/t)is located in the southwest Liaodong Peninsula,North China Craton. The deposit is hosted in the Paleoproterozoic metamorphic rocks.Four stages of mineralization were identified in the deposit:(stageⅠ)quartz-arsenopyrite±pyrite,(stageⅡ)quartz-goldarsenopyrite-pyrrhotite,(stageⅢ)quartz-gold-polymetallic sulfide,and(stageⅣ)quartz-calcitepyrrhotite.In this paper,we present fluid inclusion,C-H-O-S-Pb-He-Ar isotope data, zircon U-Pb,and gold-bearing sulfide(i.e.arsenopyrite and pyrrhotite)Rb-Sr age of the Maoling gold deposit to constrain its genesis and ore-forming mechanism.Three types of fluid inclusions were distinguished in quartzbearing veins, including liquid-rich two-phase(WL type),gas-rich two-phase(GL type),and daughter mineral-bearing fluid inclusions(S type).Fluid inclusions data show that the homogenization at temperatures 197 to 372°C for stageⅠ,126 to 319°C for stageⅡ,119 to 189°C for stageⅢ,and 115 to 183°C for stageⅣ,with corresponding salinities of 3.7 to 22.6 wt.%,4.7 to 23.2 wt.%,5.3 to 23.2 wt.%,and 1.7 to14.9 wt.%Na Cl equiv.,respectively.Fluid boiling was the critical factor controlling the gold and associated sulfide precipitation at Maoling.Hydrogen and oxygen stable isotopic analyses for quartz yielded δ^(18)O=-5.0‰ to 9.8‰ and δD=-133.5‰ to-77.0‰.Carbon stable isotopic analyses for calcite and ankerite yielded δ^(13)C=-2.3‰to-1.2‰ and O=7.9‰ to 14.1‰.The C-H-O isotope data show that the oreforming fluids were originated from magmatic water with meteoric water input during mineralization.Hydrothermal inclusions in arsenopyrite have ^(3)He/^(4)He ratios of 0.002 Ra to 0.054 Ra,and ^(40)Ar/^(36)Ar rations of 1225 to 3930,indicating that the ore-forming fluids were dominantly derived from crustal sources almost no mantle input.Sulfur isotopic values of Maoling fine-grained granite range from6.‰1 to 9.8‰,with a mean of 7.7‰,δ^(34)S values of arsenopyrite from the mineralized phyllite(host rock)range from 8.9‰ to 10.6‰,with a mean of 10.0‰,by contrast,δ^(34)S values of sulfides from ore vary between 4.3‰and 10.6‰,with a mean of 6.8‰,suggesting that sulfur was mainly originated from both the host rock and magma.Lead radioactive isotopic analyses for sulfides yielded^(206)Pb/^(204)Pb=15.830–17.103,^(207)Pb/^(204)Pb=13.397–15.548,^(208)Pb/^(204)Pb=35.478–36.683,and for Maoling fine-grained granite yielded ^(206)Pb/^(204)Pb=18.757–19.053,^(207)Pb/^(204)Pb=15.596–15.612,and ^(208)Pb/^(204)Pb=38.184–39.309,also suggesting that the ore-forming materials were mainly originated from the host rocks and magma.Zircon U-Pb dating demonstrates that the Maoling fine-grained granite was emplaced at 192.7±1.8 Ma,and the host rock(mineralized phyllite)was emplaced at some time after2065.0±27.0 Ma.Arsenopyrite and pyrrhotite give Rb–Sr isochron age of 188.7±4.5 Ma,indicating that both magmatism and mineralization occurred during the Early Jurassic.Geochronological and geochemical data, together with the regional geological history, indicate that Early Jurassic magmatism and mineralization of the Maoling gold deposit occurred during the subducting Paleo-Pacific Plate beneath Eurasia, and the Maoling gold deposit is of the intrusion-related gold deposit type. | Peng Zhang Linlin Kou Yan Zhao Deming Sha | 2022 | Geoscience Frontiers2022,13,4: | 1 |

| 4 | Resource prediction and assessment based on 3D/4D big data modeling and deep integration in key ore districts of North China显示文摘The North China district has been subjected to significant research with regard to the ore-forming dynamics, processes, and quantitative forecasting of gold deposits;it accounts for the highest number of gold reserves and annual products in China.Based on the top-level design of geoscience theory and the method adopted by the National Key R&D Project(deep process and metallogenic mechanism of North China Craton(NCC)metallogenic system),this paper systematically collects and constructs the geoscience data(district, camp, and deposit scales)in four key gold districts of North China(Jiaojia-Sanshandao,Southern Zhaoping,Wulong, and Qingchengzi). The settings associated with the geological dynamics of gold deposits were quantitatively and synthetically analyzed, namely:NCC destruction, metallogenic events, genetic models, and exploration models.Three-dimensional(3D)and four-dimensional(4D)geological modeling was performed using the big data on the districts, while the district-scale 3D exploration criteria were integrated to construct a quantitative exploration model.Among them,FLAC3D modelling and the Geo Cube software(version 3.0)were used to implement the numerical simulation of the 3D geological models and the constraints of the fluid saturation parameters of the Jiaojia fault to reconstruct the 4D fault structure models of the Jiaojia fault(with a depth of 5000 m).Using Geo Cube3.0,multiple integration modules(general weights of evidence(Wof E),Boost Wof E,Fuzzy Wof E,Logistic Regression,Information Entropy, and Random Forest)and exploration criteria were integrated, while the C-V fractal classification of A,B and C targets in four districts was carried out.The research results are summarized in the following four areas:(1)Four gold districts in the study area have more than three targets(the depth is 3000 m),and the class A,B and C targets exhibit a good spatial correlation with gold bodies that are controlled by mining engineering at depths greater than 1000 m.(2)The Boost Wof E method was used to identify the target optimization in 3D spaces(at depths of 3000–5000 m)of the Jiaojia-Sanshandao,Southern Zhaoping, and Wulong districts.(3)The general Wof E method is based on the Bayesian theory in 3D space and provides robust integration and target optimization that are suitable for the Jiaojia-Sanshandao and Southern Zhaoping districts in the Jiaodong area;it can also be applied to the Wulong district in the Liaodong area using a quantitative genetic model and an exploration model.Random forest is a multi-objective integration and target optimization method for 3D spaces, and it is suitable for the complex exploration model in the Qingchengzi district of the Liaodong area. The genetic model and exploration criteria associated with the exploration model of the Qingchengzi district were constrained by the common characteristics of the gold fault structure, magmatic rock emplacement in North China, and the strata fold and interlayer detachment structure.(4)Based on the gold reserves and the 3D block unit model of the Sanshandao gold deposit in the Jiaojia-Sanshandao district, the gold contents of the 3D block units in class A and B targets of the ore concentration were estimated to be 65.5%and 25.1%,respectively.The total Au resources of the optimized targets below a depth of 3000 m were 3908 t(including 1700 t reserves),and the total Au resources of the targets at depths from 3000 to 5000 m were 936 t.The study shows that the deep gold deposits in the four gold districts of North China exhibit a strong'transport-deposition'spatial correlation with potential targets.These'transport-deposition'spatial models represent the tectonic-magmatic-hydrothermal activities of the metallogenic system associated with the NCC destruction events and indicate the Au enrichment zones. | Gongwen WANG Zhiqiang ZHANG Ruixi LI Junjian LI Deming SHA Qingdong ZENG Zhenshan PANG Dapeng LI Leilei HUANG | 2021 | Science China Earth Sciences2021,64,9: | 1 |
| 5 | Relationship Between Climate Change and Marmot Plague of Marmota himalayana Plague Focus—the Altun Mountains of the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau,China,2000–2022显示文摘Introduction:Plague is a zoonotic disease that occurs naturally in specific geographic areas.Climate change can influence the populations of the plague host or vector, leading to variations in the occurrence and epidemiology of plague in animals. Methods:In this study,we collected meteorological and plague epidemiological data from the Marmota himalayana plague focus in the Altun Mountains of the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau. The data spanned from 2000 to 2022.We describe the climatic factors and plague epidemic conditions and we describe their analysis by Pearson’s correlation. Results:During the period from 2000 to 2022,the isolation rates of Yersinia pestis(Y.pestis)from marmots and fleas were 9.27%(451/4,864)and 7.17%(118/1,646),respectively.Additionally,we observed a positive rate of F1 antibody of 11.25%(443/3,937)in marmots and 18.16%(142/782)in dogs. With regards to climate, there was little variation, and a decreasing trend in blowing-sand days was observed. The temperature in the previous year showed a negative correlation with the Y.pestis isolation rate in marmots(r=−0.555,P=0.011)and the positive rate of F1 antibody in marmots(r=−0.552,P=0.012)in the current year. The average annual precipitation in the previous two years showed a positive correlation with marmot density(r=0.514,P=0.024),while blowingsand days showed a negative correlation with marmot density(r=−0.701,P=0.001).Furthermore,the average annual precipitation in the previous three years showed a positive correlation with the isolation rate of Y.pestis from marmots(r=0.666,P=0.003),and blowing-sand days showed a negative correlation with marmot density(r=−0.597,P=0.009).Conclusions:The findings of this study indicate that there is a hysteresis effect of climate change on the prevalence of plague. Therefore, monitoring climate conditions can offer significant insights for implementing timely preventive and control measures to combat plague epidemics. | Qun Duan Xiaojin Zheng Zhiqiang Gan Dongyue Lyu Hanyu Sha Xinmin Lu Xiaoling Zhao Asaiti Bukai Ran Duan Shuai Qin Li Wang Jinxiao Xi Di Wu Peng Zhang Deming Tang Zhaokai He Huaiqi Jing Biao Kan Xin Wang | 2024 | China CDC weekly2024,6,4: | 0 |
