| 1 | Position Control of a Flexible Manipulator Using a New Nonlinear Self-Tuning PID Controller显示文摘In this paper, a new nonlinear self-tuning PID controller(NSPIDC) is proposed to control the joint position and link deflection of a flexible-link manipulator(FLM) while it is subjected to carry different payloads. Since, payload is a critical parameter of the FLM whose variation greatly influences the controller performance. The proposed controller guarantees stability under change in payload by attenuating the non-modeled higher order dynamics using a new nonlinear autoregressive moving average with exogenous-input(NARMAX) model of the FLM. The parameters of the FLM are identified on-line using recursive least square(RLS) algorithm and using minimum variance control(MVC) laws the control parameters are updated in real-time. This proposed NSPID controller has been implemented in real-time on an experimental set-up. The joint tracking and link deflection performances of the proposed adaptive controller are compared with that of a popular direct adaptive controller(DAC). | 3 | High-throughput discovery of high Curie point two-dimensional ferromagnetic materials显示文摘Databases for two-dimensional materials host numerous ferromagnetic materials without the vital information of Curie temperature since its calculation involves a manually intensive complex process.In this work,we develop a fully automated,hardwareaccelerated,dynamic-translation based computer code,which performs first principles-based computations followed by Heisenberg model-based Monte Carlo simulations to estimate the Curie temperature from the crystal structure.We employ this code to conduct a high-throughput scan of 786 materials from a database to discover 26 materials with a Curie point beyond 400 K.For rapid data mining,we further use these results to develop an end-to-end machine learning model with generalized chemical features through an exhaustive search of the model space as well as the hyperparameters.We discover a few more high Curie point materials from different sources using this data-driven model.Such material informatics,which agrees well with recent experiments,is expected to foster practical applications of two-dimensional magnetism. | Arnab Kabiraj Mayank Kumar Santanu Mahapatra | 2020 | npj Computational Materials2020,,1: | 5 |
| 4 | Nitric oxide mediated Staphylococcus aureus pathogenesis and protective role of nanoconjugated vancomycin显示文摘Objective:To investigate the relation between fruit seeds,plants residuals and appendicitis. Methods:Among cases that underwent appendectomy,the appendicitis cases having fruit seeds and undigested plant residuals in their etiology were examined retrospectively.Also, histopathological features,age,sex,and parameters of morbidity and mortality were used. | 5 | Antioxidative effect of folate-modified chitosan nanoparticles显示文摘Objective:To evaluate the potency of carboxymethyl chitosan-2,2' ethylenedioxy bisethylamine-folate(CMC-EDBE-FA) on tissue injury,antioxidant status and glutathione system in tissue mitochondria and serum against nicotine-induced oxidative stress in mice.Methods: CMC-EDBE-FA was prepared on basis of carboxymethyl chitosan tagged with folic acid by covalently linkage through 2,2' ethylenedioxy bis-ethylamine.Animals were divided into four groups,i.e.,control,nicotine(1 mg/kg bw/day),CMC-EDBE-FA(1 mg/kg bw/day) and nicotine(1 mg/kg bw/day) and CMC-EDBE-FA(1 mg/kg bw/day) for 7 days.Levels of lipid peroxidation, oxidized glutathione level,antioxidant enzyme status and DNA damage were observed and compared.Results:The significantly increase of lipid peroxidation,oxidized glutathione levels and DNA damage was observed in nicotine treated group as compared with control group;those were significantly reduced in CMC-EDBE-FA supplemented group.Moreover,significantly reduced antioxidant status in nicotine treated group was effectively ameliorated by the supplementation of CMC-EDBE-FA.Only CMC-EDBE-FA treated groups showed no significant change as compared with control group;rather than it repairs the tissue damage of nicotine treated group.Conclusions:These findings suggest that CMC-EDBE-FA is non-toxic and ameliorates nicotine-induced toxicity. | Subhankari Prasad Chakraborty Santanu Kar Mahapatra Sumanta Kumar Sahu Panchanan Pramanik Somenath Roy | 2011 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2011,1,1: | 3 |

| 8 | Foraminiferal biostratigraphy of lignite mines of Kutch,India:Age of lignite and fossil vertebrates显示文摘The lignite deposits of Kutch, India are stratigraphically referred to the Naredi Formation and considered to be Early Eocene in age. The biostratigraphy of the older mine at Panandhro and a newly opened mine at Matanomadh has constrained the upper age limit of lignite to the early Bartonian. Its lower age may extend to the late Lutetian. Temporally the formation of lignite corresponds to the warming event of the Middle Eocene and suggests a humid climate at the onset of the warming. The previous palynological studies have already suggested dominance of tropical angiospermic pollen. A diverse assemblage of fossil whales and other vertebrates, many of them supposedly the oldest representatives, were reported from Panandhro mine. These were initially assigned to the Early Eocene and later to the Lute? tian age. | 9 | Analysis of modified double-bundle anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction with implantless fixation on tibial side显示文摘Purpose To avoid potential problems of double-bundle anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction(ACLR),various modifications have been reported.This study analyzed a novel technique of modified double-bundle(MDB)ACLR without implant on tibial side in comparison to single-bundle(SB)ACLR.Methods Eighty cases of isolated anterior cruciate ligament tear(40 each in SB group or MDB group)were included.SB ACLR was performed by outside in technique with quadrupled hamstring graft fixed with interference screws.In MDB group,ACLR harvested tendons were looped over each other at the center and free ends whipstitched.Femoral tunnel was created by outside in technique.Anteromedial tibial tunnel was created with tibial guide at 55°.The anatomic posterolateral aiming guide(Smith-Nephew)was used to create posterolateral tunnel.With the help of shuttle sutures,the free end of gracillis was passed through posterolateral tunnel to femoral tunnel followed by semitendinosus graft through anteromedial tunnel to femoral tunnel.On tibial side the graft was looped over bone-bridge between external apertures of anteromedial and posterolateral tunnel.Graft was fixed with interference screw on femoral side in 10°knee flexion.International Knee Documentation Committee(IKDC),Tegner score,Pivot shift and knee laxity test(KLT,Karl-Storz)were recorded pre-and post-surgery.At one year magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)was done.Statistical analysis was done by SPSS software.Results Mean preoperative KLT reading of(10.00±1.17)mm in MDB group improved to(4.10±0.56)mm and in SB group it improved from(10.00±0.91)mm to(4.80±0.46)mm.The mean preoperative IKDC score in MDB group improved from(49.49±8.00)to(92.5±1.5)at one year and that in SB group improved from(52.5±6.9)to(88.4±2.6).At one-year 92.5%cases in MDB group achieved their preinjury Tegner activity level as compared to 60%in SB group.The improvement in IKDC,KLT and Tegner scale of MDB group was superior to SB group.MRI confirmed graft integrity at one year and clinically at 2 years.Conclusion MDB ACLR has shown better outcome than SB ACLR.It is a simple technique that does not require fixation on tibial side and resultant graft is close to native ACL. | Skand Sinha Ananta KNaik Appan Kumar Tista Jacob Santanu Kar | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Traumatology2020,23,6: | 1 |

| 13 | Indistinguishable cellular changes in gastric mucosa between Helicobacter pylori infected asymptomatic tribal and duodenal ulcer patients显示文摘AIM:To investigate the changing pattern of different histological parameters occurring in the stomach tissue of Helicobacter pylori (H pylori) infected tribal populations and duodenal ulcer patients among ethnic Bengalis and correlation of the genotypes of H pylori with different histological parameters.were enrolled into this study between 2002 and 2004. Among them,72 had clinical features of duodenal ulcer (DU) from ethnic Bengali population and 40 were asymptomatic ethnic tribals. Endoscopic gastric biopsy samples were processed for histology,genotyping and rapid urease test. Histologically,haematoxylin and eosin staining was applied to assess the pathomorphological changes and a modified Giemsa staining was used for better detection of H pylori. For intestinal metaplasia,special stainings,i.e. Alcian blue periodic acid-Schiff and high iron diamine-Alcian blue staining,were performed. PCR was performed on bacterial DNA to characterize the presence or absence of virulence-associated genes,like cagA,and distribution of different alleles of vacA and iceA. RESULTS:Intraglandular neutrophil infiltration,a hallmark of activity of gastritis,was present in 34 (94%) of tribals (TRs) and 42 (84%) of DU individuals infected with H pylori. Lymphoid follicles and aggregates,which are important landmarks in H pylori infection,were positive amongst 15 (41%) of TRs and 20 (40%) of DU subjects. Atrophic changes were observed in 60% and 27.7%,respectively,among DU cases and tribals (P > 0.003). Metaplastic changes were detected in low numbers in both groups. Moderate to severe density distribution of H pylori in the gastric mucosa was 63% among TRs,whereas it was 62% in DU subjects. There were no significant differences in the distribution of virulence-associated genes like cagA,vacA and iceA of H pylori strains carried by these two populations. CONCLUSION:Our study showed almost similar distribution of inflammatory cells among asymptomatic tribals and DU Bengali patients. Interestingly,the tribal population are free from any clinical symptoms despite evidence of active histologic gastritis and infection with H pylori strains carrying similar virulence markers as of strains isolated from patients with DU. | 17 | Tracking sources and paleotectonic settings of Mesozoic sandstones in interlinked rift basins of western India:An integrated approach using petrography and heavy mineral chemistry显示文摘Based on integration of field,petrographic and heavy mineral chemical data,this study highlights the source and tectonic setting of the Mesozoic sandstones of Kutch,Saurashtra,Narmada and Cambay basins at the western margin of India,formed by the progressive splitting of the eastern Gondwanaland.The Kutch Basin is dominated by arkosic sandstone,whereas Saurashtra,Narmada and Cambay basins show the predominance of sub-arkose and sub-litharenite.The modal analyses of framework grains in Kutch sandstones indicate basement uplift and transitional continent settings.In contrast,the sandstones of Saurashtra,Narmada and Cambay basins bear imprints of recycled orogenic and craton interior belts.The presence of abraded and detrital quartz overgrowth and rounded zircons in most sandstones reveal the recycling of sediments in these basins.Tourmaline and rutile mineral compositions constrain the possible lithology of source rocks.The tourmaline mineral chemistry(Ca-Fe_(tot)-Mg plot)suggests the derivation of sediments from various sources,including Li-poor granitoids associated with pegmatites,aplites,Ca-poor metapelites,metapsammites and quartz-tourmaline-rich granitic rocks.The compositions of rutile grains(Cr vs.Nb plot)in sandstones indicate metapelitic sources.The gamut of all mineral chemical data supports the predominance of sediment sources from quartzo-feldspathic rocks with minor inputs from mafic rocks.Based on available paleocurrent data and correlation of source compositions,we infer that the Mesozoic sediments of Kutch,Saurashtra,Narmada and Cambay basins were primarily sourced by various lithologies of the Aravalli Craton.The Narmada Basin possibly received additional sediment input from the Bundelkhand Craton. | Pawan Kumar Rajak Angana Chaudhuri Naraga Prabhakar Santanu Banerjee | 2022 | Journal of Palaeogeography2022,11,2: | 1 |
