| 1 | Nanoarchitectured LiMn_2O_4/Graphene/ZnO Composites as Electrodes for Lithium Ion Batteries显示文摘LiMn_2O_4 nanoparticles are facilely synthesized using a sol—gel processing method.Graphene is added to LiMn_2O_4 electrode aiming at increasing specific capacity and improving rate capability.In order to further improve cycling stability of LiMn_2O_4/graphene electrode,atomic layer deposition(ALD)is used to deposit ultrathin ZnO coating composed of six ZnO ALD layers and modify the surface of either LiMn_2O_4/graphene electrode or individual LiMn_2O_4 particles to form nanoarchitectured LiMn_2O_4/graphene/ZnO electrodes.Both ZnO-ALD-modified LiMn_2O_4/graphene electrodes demonstrate enhanced cycling performance at 1C retaining the final discharge capacity above 122 mA h g^(-1)after 100 electrochemical cycles,which is higher than115 mA h g^(-1)of pristine LiMn_2O_4/graphene electrode and 109 mA h g^(-1)of bare LiMn_2O_4 electrode.The improved electrochemical performance of nanoarchitectured LiMn_2O_4/graphene/ZnO electrodes can be attributed to the cooperative effects from high electronic conductivity of graphene sheets to facilitate electron transportation and effective protection of ZnO ALD coating to restrict Mn dissolution and electrolyte decomposition. | Saad Aziz Jianqing Zhao Carrington Cain Ying Wang | 2014 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2014,30,5: | 2 |

| 15 | An Efficient IIoT-Based Smart Sensor Node for Predictive Maintenance of Induction Motors显示文摘Predictive maintenance is a vital aspect of the industrial sector,and the use of Industrial Internet of Things(IIoT)sensor nodes is becoming increasingly popular for detecting motor faults and monitoring motor conditions.An integrated approach for acquiring,processing,and wirelessly transmitting a large amount of data in predictive maintenance applications remains a significant challenge.This study presents an IIoT-based sensor node for industrial motors.The sensor node is designed to acquire vibration data on the radial and axial axes of the motor and utilizes a hybrid approach for efficient data processing via edge and cloud platforms.The initial step of signal processing is performed on the node at the edge,reducing the burden on a centralized cloud for processing data from multiple sensors.The proposed architecture utilizes the lightweight Message Queue Telemetry Transport(MQTT)communication protocol for seamless data transmission from the node to the local and main brokers.The broker’s bridging allows for data backup in case of connection loss.The proposed sensor node is rigorously tested on a motor testbed in a laboratory setup and an industrial setting in a rice industry for validation,ensuring its performance and accuracy in real-world industrial environments.The data analysis and results from both testbed and industrial motors were discussed using vibration analysis for identifying faults.The proposed sensor node is a significant step towards improving the efficiency and reliability of industrial motors through realtime monitoring and early fault detection,ultimately leading to minimized unscheduled downtime and cost savings. | Majida Kazmi Maria Tabasum Shoaib Arshad Aziz Hashim Raza Khan Saad Ahmed Qazi | 2023 | Computer Systems Science & Engineering2023,47,10: | 0 |
| 16 | Modern improvement techniques of direct torque control for induction motor drives - a review显示文摘Conventional direct torque control (DTC) is one of the excellent control strategies available to control the torque of the induction machine (IM). However, the low switching frequency of the DTC causes high ripples in the flux and torque that leads to an acoustic noise which degrades the control performances, especially at low speeds. Many direct torque control techniques were appeared to remedy these problems by focusing specifically on the torque and flux. In this paper, a state of the art review of various modern techniques for improving the performance of DTC control is presented. The objective is to make a critical analysis of these methods in terms of ripples reduction, tracking speed, switching loss, algorithm complexity and parameter sensitivity. | 17 | Incidence, mortality, and risk factors of immunotherapy-associated hepatotoxicity: A nationwide hospitalization analysis显示文摘Background and aims Anti-neoplastic immunotherapy has revolutionized cancer management;however,its safety profile with respect to liver-related injury remains largely unexplored.Herein,we analyzed a United States national database to determine the incidence,mortality,and predictors of hepatotoxicity in the setting of anti-neoplastic immunotherapy.Methods This was a nationwide retrospective study of hospital encounters from 2011 to 2014 using the National Inpatient Sample(NIS)database.We utilized the International Classification of Diseases,Ninth Revision(ICD-9)coding system to identify all adult patients who underwent anti-neoplastic immunotherapy during hospitalization.The primary outcome was the incidence of hepatotoxicity during the same hospitalization.Secondary outcomes included in-hospital mortality as well as socioeconomic and ethno-racial predictors of hepatotoxicity.Analyses were performed using IBM SPSS Statistics 23.0.Results The sample included 3002 patients who underwent inpatient anti-neoplastic immunotherapy.The incidence of hepatotoxicity was 10.1%,which was significantly higher as compared to a matched inpatient population(adjusted odds ratio(aOR)4.93,95%confidence interval(CI):3.80–6.40,P=0.001).No significant mortality difference was seen in those that developed hepatotoxicity compared to those who did not(aOR 0.47,95%CI:0.03–8.03,P=0.612).Age under 60(aOR 1.56,95%CI:1.23–1.78,P=0.050)and white race(aOR 1.85,95%CI:1.35–2.04,P<0.010)were independent risk factors for developing immunotherapy-associated hepatotoxicity.Conclusions In this large,nationwide database analysis,we found that anti-neoplastic immunotherapy was associated with a nearly five-fold risk of in-hospital hepatotoxicity as compared to a matched inpatient population,though without an associated mortality difference.Additionally,younger age and white race were identified as predictors of immunotherapy-associated hepatotoxicity.Heightened vigilance and prospective investigation of the risk factors and liver-related adverse effects of anti-neoplastic immunotherapy are warranted. | Simcha Weissman Saad Saleem Sachit Sharma Menashe Krupka Faisal Inayat Muhammad Aziz James H.Tabibian | 2021 | Liver Research2021,5,1: | 0 |
| 18 | Household survey of container-breeding mosquitoes and climatic factors influencing the prevalence of Aedes aegypti(Diptera:Culicidae)in Makkah City,Saudi Arabia显示文摘Objective:To investigate the prevalence of container breeding mosquitoes with emphasis on the seasonality and larval habitats of Aedes aegypti(Ae.aegypti) in Makkah City,adjoining an environmental monitoring and dengue incidence.Methods:Monthly visits were performed between April 2008 and March 2009 to randomly selected houses.During each visit,mosquito larvae were collected from indoors and outdoors containers by either dipping or pipetting. Mosquitoes were morphologically identified.Data on temperature,relative humidity,rain/ precipitations during the survey period was retrieved from governmental sources and analyzed. Results:The city was warmer in dry season(DS) than wet season(WS).No rain occurred at all during DS and even precipitations did fall,wetting events were much greaterduring WS.Larval survey revealed the co-breeding of Aedes,Culex and Anopheles in a variety of artificial containers in and around homes.32109 larvae representing 1st,2nd,3rd,and 4th stages were collected from 22618 container habitats.Culicines was far the commonest and Aedes genus was as numerous as the Culex population.Ae.aegypti larval abundance exhibited marked temporal variations,overall, being usually more abundant during WS.Ten types of artificial containers were found with developing larvae.70%of these habitats were located indoors.71.42%of indoor containers were permanent and 28.58* was semi-permanent during WS.Cement tanks was the only container type permanent during DS.Ae.aegypti larval indices(CI,HI,Bl) recorded were greater during WS.
