| 2 | Diaphragm disease compared with cryptogenic multifocal ulcerous stenosing enteritis显示文摘As the use of drugs such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) increases,so too do gastrointestinal ulcers,bleeding,perforation and obstruction.Diaphragm disease of the small intestine is formed by submucosal fibrosis and destruction of lamina muscularis due to chronic ulceration,which corresponds to the most severe stage of NSAID enteropathy.It may lead to stricture of the small intestine.If such ulcerations and strictures in the small intestine are multiple,differential diagnosis is between diaphragm disease and cryptogenic multifocal ulcerous stenosing enteritis (CMUSE),because the gross findings of diaphragm disease are similar to those of CMUSE.We report a rare case of diaphragm disease caused by NSAID.It has been finally confirmed by capsule endoscopy and the origin of chronic obscure gastrointestinal bleeding was found to be multiple ulcers and strictures in the small intestine.After operation,we diagnosed the patient with diaphragm disease rather than CMUSE. | Sook Hee Chung Yunju Jo Sang Ryol Ryu Sang Bong Ahn Byoung Kwan Son Seong Hwan Kim Young Sook Park Young Ok Hong | 2011 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2011,17,23: | 5 |

| 13 | Effect of molybdenum on interfacial properties of titanium carbide reinforced Fe composite显示文摘This study shows that the mechanical strength of the composite of Fe matrix and titanium carbide(Ti C)ceramic particles is significantly enhanced with addition of molybdenum(Mo) atoms. Ti C reinforced Fe(Fe-0.2C-7Mn) composites with and without Mo were fabricated by a liquid pressing infiltration(LPI)process and the effect of Mo on interfacial properties of TiC–Fe composite was investigated using atomic probe tomography(APT) analysis, molecular dynamics(MD) simulations, first-principle density functional theory(DFT), and thermodynamic calculations. First, DFT calculations showed that total energies of the Mo-doped Ti C–Fe superlattices strongly depend on the position of Mo defects, and are minimized when the Mo atom is located at the TiC/Fe interface, supporting the probable formation of MoC-like interphase at the TiC/Fe interface region. Then, APT analysis confirmed the DFT predictions by finding that about6.5 wt.% Mo is incorporated in the Ti C–Fe(Mo) composite and that sub-micrometer thick(Ti,Mo)C interphase is indeed formed near the interface. | 14 | IRF8: identity-keeper for suppressive Th1-like Treg cells显示文摘Regulatory T(Treg)cells maintain immune homeostasis by inhibiting excessive immune responses.Treg cells control a variety of immune responses,which vary according to the nature of the infection or insult.Treg cells were once thought to be stable;however,many studies now suggest that they have a certain level of flexibility,or plasticity.For example,they deal with various inflammatory conditions by adapting to the environment.Treg cells controlling type I responses express T-bet1 or IRF8,2 whereas those controlling type II responses express IRF4,3 those controlling type III responses express STAT3,4 and those controlling germinal center reactions express Bcl-6.5,6 In addition,Treg cells residing in visceral adipose tissue express PPAR-γ,7 whereas those residing in skeletal muscle express amphiregulin.8 These tissue-resident Treg cells have specialized roles,including the control of metabolic inflammation and muscle repair.7,8 This functional plasticity reflects the finding that Treg cells may adjust their phenotype and function in response to the environment in which they reside.Under these conditions,Treg cells coexpress genes that are also expressed by the effector cells they control.Depending on the type of response they control,Treg cells are classified as Th1-like(controlling type I responses),Th2-like(controlling type II responses),or Th17-like(controlling type III responses).Many studies have reported the suppressive and nonsuppressive functions of these plastic Treg cells. | Gap Ryol Lee | 2018 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2018,15,12: | 0 |
