Effectiveness of Inactivated COVID-19 Vaccines Against Symptomatic,Pneumonia, and Severe Disease Caused by the Delta Variant:Real World Study and Evidence—China,2021显示文摘Summary What is already known about this topic?Effectiveness of China’s 2 inactivated vaccines(BBIBPCorV and CoronaVac)against pre-Delta severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2(SARS-CoV-2)variants ranged from 47%to over 90%,depending on the clinical endpoint, and with greater effectiveness against more severe coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).During an outbreak in Guangdong, inactivated vaccine effectiveness(VE)against the Delta variant was 70%for symptomatic infection and 100%for severe COVID-19.However,separate or combined VE estimates for the two inactivated vaccines against Delta are not available. What is added by this report? In an outbreak that started in a hospital,VEs of completed primary vaccination with inactivated COVID-19 vaccines against symptomatic COVID-19,COVID-19 pneumonia, and severe COVID-19 caused by the Delta variant were 51%,61%,and 82%.Completed primary vaccination reduced the risk of progressing from mild to moderate or severe COVID-19 by 74%.VE estimates for BBIBP-CorV and CoronaVac or combined vaccination were similar, and partial vaccination was ineffective. What are the implications for public health practice?Completed primary vaccination with either of the 2 inactivated COVID-19 vaccines reduces risk of symptomatic COVID-19,COVID-19 pneumonia, and severe COVID-19 caused by the Delta variant.Completion of the completed primary vaccination with two doses is necessary for protection from Delta. | Dan Wu Yanyang Zhang Lin Tang Fuzhen Wang Ying Ye Chao Ma Hui Zheng Wenzhou Yu Lei Cao Yifan Song Abuduwaili Reyimu Xiaoxiao Zhang Haifeng Wang Yifei Nie Mingxia Lu Muge Qi Jun Li Ruolin Wang Kaichao Yang Changshuang Wang Lawrence Everett Rodewald Geroge Fu Gao Zhijie An Zundong Yin | 2022 | China CDC weekly2022,4,4: | 7
Therapeutic effect of natural melanin from edible fungus Auricularia auricula on alcohol-induced liver damage in vitro and in vivo显示文摘This study explored the therapeutic effects of Auricularia auricula melanin(AAM)on alcoholic liver damage in vitro and in vivo.Human normal liver L02 cells were pre-treated with ethanol and then treated with AAM to explore the therapeutic effect of AAM on ethanol-induced hepatocyte injury. The results show that AAM signifi cantly elevated the cell viability, ameliorated the cell morphology, reduced the ROS and increased the GSH/GSSG of ethanol-pretreated L02 cells. Then, mice were administered with ethanol to induce acute alcoholic liver damage, and administered with AAM to further study the therapeutic effect of AAM on alcoholic liver damage in mice.As a result,AAM reduced the levels of ALT,AST,TG,and MDA,increased the levels of ADH,SOD,and CAT in liver damage mice. The therapeutic effect of AAM may be related to inhibition of CYP2E1 expression and activation of Nrf2 and its downstream antioxidase. The research enriched the bioactivity of AAM and provided some ideas for the development of melanin-related health foods. | Ruolin Hou Xin Liu Xiaoping Wu Mingfeng Zheng Junsheng Fu | 2021 | Food Science and Human Wellness2021,10,4: | 4
Weighted Sparse Image Classification Based on Low Rank Representation显示文摘The conventional sparse representation-based image classification usually codes the samples independently, which will ignore the correlation information existed in the data.Hence,if we can explore the correlation information hidden in the data, the classification result will be improved significantly. To this end,in this paper,a novel weighted supervised spare coding method is proposed to address the image classification problem. The proposed method firstly explores the structural information sufficiently hidden in the data based on the low rank representation. And then,it introduced the extracted structural information to a novel weighted sparse representation model to code the samples in a supervised way.Experimental results show that the proposed method is superiority to many conventional image classification methods. | Qidi Wu Yibing Li Yun Lin Ruolin Zhou | 2018 | Computers, Materials & Continua2018,,7: | 2
Hydraulic Self Servo Swing Cylinder Structure Optimization and Dynamic Characteristics Analysis Based on Genetic Algorithm显示文摘The dynamic characteristics of hydraulic self servo swing cylinder were analyzed according to the hydraulic system natural frequency formula. Based on that,a method of the hydraulic self servo swing cylinder structure optimization based on genetic algorithm was proposed in this paper. By analyzing the four parameters that affect the dynamic characteristics, we had to optimize the structure to obtain as larger the Dm( displacement) as possible under the condition with the purpose of improving the dynamic characteristics of hydraulic self servo swing cylinder. So three state equations were established in this paper. The paper analyzed the effect of the four parameters in hydraulic self servo swing cylinder natural frequency equation and used the genetic algorithm to obtain the optimal solution of structure parameters. The model was simulated by substituting the parameters and initial value to the simulink model. Simulation results show that: using self servo hydraulic swing cylinder natural frequency equation to study its dynamic response characteristics is very effective.Compared with no optimization, the overall system dynamic response speed is significantly improved. | Lin Jiang Ruolin Wu Zhichao Zhu | 2015 | Journal of Harbin Institute of Technology(New Series)2015,22,4: | 1

Middle or low water pressure direct spiral double helix converging nozzle structure optimization and flow field analysis显示文摘In order to solve the problem of using middle or low water pressure to form fine water mist,a new nozzle is proposed in fire rescue robot.Existing water mist nozzles are basically used for high pressure and in large size, complex structure and poor low pressure atomization effect in comparison with requirement of snake-like fire rescue robots. On the basis of comprehensive typical spray nozzles,a direct spiral double helix converging nozzle(DSDHCN) is proposed, which has the advantages of small volume, light weight, simple structure, and convenient installation. To make the spray nozzle have good performance, and meet the requirements of more efficient fire extinguishing,a numerical study is carried out to analyze the internal and external full flow field of nozzle.A gas-liquid two-phase flow is applied to simulate the external full flow field of nozzle with VOF model in fluent software. The simulation results show the real situation of water flow out of the atomization nozzle and the water jet trajectory. Some simulations about middle or low water pressure direct spiral double helix converging optimized nozzle have been done in 30 bar pressure. The simulation results show that the optimized nozzle structure not only makes the spray droplets have a good cone angle, but also have a sufficient axial velocity, which proves the structure rationality of the proposed optimized nozzle. | 蒋林 Wu Ruolin Zhao Hui Mei Peng Zhang Qiang Zhu Jiangyang Xiao Jun Lei Bin | 2015 | High Technology Letters2015,21,3: | 0
Membrane fusion reverse micelle platforms as potential oral nanocarriers for efficient internalization of free hydrophilic peptides显示文摘Orally administered peptides or proteins are garnering increasing preference owing to their superiority in terms of patient compliance and convenience. However, the development of oral protein formulations has stalled due to the low bioavailability of macromolecules that encounter the aggressive gastrointestinal environment and harsh mucus villi barrier.Herein,we propose an ideal reverse micelle/self-emulsifying drug delivery system(RM/SEDDS)nanoplatform that is capable of improving the oral bioavailability of hydrophilic peptides by preventing enzymatic degradation and enhancing mucosal permeability.Upon the passage through the mucus, the self-emulsifying drug delivery system with optimal surface properties effectively penetrates the viscoelastic mucosal barrier, followed by the exposure of the inner reverse micelle amphipathic vectors, which autonomously form continua with the lipidic cell membrane and facilitate the internalization of drugs. This membrane-fusion mechanism inaugurates a new way for hydrophilic peptide delivery in the free form, circumventing the traditional impediments of the cellular internalization of nanocarriers and subsequent poor release of drugs. And more importantly, reverse micelles are not spatially specific to the laden drugs, which enables their delivery for a myriad of peptide clinical drugs. In conclusion,as an exquisitely designed nanoplatform,RM/SEDDS overcomes multiple physiological barriers and opens a new path for drug cellular entry, providing new prospects for the development of oral drug delivery systems. | Mengting Lin Linjie Wu Yiying Lu Xiaoyan Bao Haiqing Zhong Qi Dai Qiyao Yang Yiyi Xia Xin Tan Yaxin Qin Ruolin Jiang Min Han | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,7: | 0
