1Management of cytokine release syndrome related to CAR-T cell therapy显示文摘Chimeric antigen receptor T (CAR-T) cell therapy is a novel cellular immunotherapy that is widely used to treat hematological malignancies, including acute leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma. Despite its remarkable clinical effects, this therapy has side effects that cannot be underestimated. Cytokine release syndrome (CRS) is one of the most clinically important and potentially life-threatening toxicities. This syndrome is a systemic immune storm that involves the mass cytokines releasing by activated immune cells. This phenomenon causes multisystem damages and sometimes even death. In this study, we reported the management of a patient with recurrent and refractory multiple myeloma and three patients with acute lymphocytic leukemia who suffered CRS during CAR-T treatment. The early application of tocilizumab, an anti-IL-6 receptor antibody, according to toxicity grading and clinical manifestation is recommended especially for patients who suffer continuous hyperpyrexia, hypotensive shock, acute respiratory failure, and whose CRS toxicities deteriorated rapidly. Moreover, low doses of dexamethasone (5-10 mg/day) were used for refractory CRS not responding to tocilizumab. 2Comparsion analysis of data mining models applied to clinical research in Traditional Chinese Medicine显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To help researchers selecting appropriate data mining models to provide better evidence for the clinical practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) diagnosis and therapy.METHODS: Clinical issues based on data mining models were comprehensively summarized from four significant elements of the clinical studies:symptoms, symptom patterns, herbs, and efficacy.Existing problems were further generalized to determine the relevant factors of the performance of data mining models, e.g. data type, samples, parameters, variable labels. Combining these relevant factors, the TCM clinical data features were compared with regards to statistical characters and informatics properties. Data models were compared simultaneously from the view of applied conditions and suitable scopes.RESULTS: The main application problems were the inconsistent data type and the small samples for the used data mining models, which caused the inappropriate results, even the mistake results. 3Spider web-like carbonized bacterial cellulose/MoSe_(2) nanocomposite with enhanced microwave attenuation performance and tunable absorption bands显示文摘It is essential to manufacture microwave absorbers with strong absorption as well as tunable absorption bands at a low filler content.However,it remains challenging for pure biomass material to reach this goal without loading other components.MoSe_(2),as a transition metal chalcogenide with semiconductor properties,has emerged as a potential microwave absorber filler.Herein,bacterial cellulose(BC)-derived carbon nanofibers/MoSe_(2) nanocomposite was fabricated and phosphoric acid was used to dope phosphorus in BC,in which MoSe_(2) microspheres were dropped on the BC network like a dew-covered spider web.This unique network structure enhances conductive loss and multiple reflections of the incident wave.The collocation of BC and MoSe_(2) is helpful to impedance match and introduces interfacial/dipolar polarization loss;moreover,the P-doping of BC helps to tune the absorption bands.Overall,the optimal reflection loss of undoped one reaches−53.33 dB with only 20 wt.%filler content,whose main absorption peaks focus on X-band.Interestingly,after the P-doping of BC,the main absorption peaks move to Ku-band and the optimal reflection loss gets stronger(−66.84 dB)with the same filler loading.Strong absorption and tunable absorption bands can be realized,and thus wide frequency range is covered.This work is expected to enlighten future exploration of biomass carbon materials on high-performance microwave absorption materials.Zhengjian Xu Man He Yuming Zhou Shuangxi Nie Yongjuan Wang Yao Huo Yifan Kang Ruili Wang Ran Xu Hao Peng Xi Chen 2021Nano Research2021,14,3:6
4Germination and early seedling growth of Pinus densata Mast.provenances显示文摘We studied seed germination and early seedling growth of Pinus densata to explore the range of variability within the species and to inform afforestation practices.Phenotypes were evaluated at a forest tree nursery under conditions that support Pinus yunnanensis, one of the presumed parental species of P. densata. Seeds were collected from 20 open-pollinated trees within each of eight autochthonous populations representing the natural distribution of P. densata in China to assess variation in germination traits and early seedling growth, and to examine the relationships among these traits. Results showed that seeds from all populations germinated and seedlings established successfully. There were significant differences among populations in 13 of 14 traits evaluated. Seed germination and early seedling growth were strongly related to seed size and seed weight. Bigger seeds germinated earlier and faster than small seeds, and seedling size was positively correlated with seed size. Some germination traits were strongly and significantly correlated with climatic variables associated with the provenance of the studied populations. Based on these observations, we conclude there were large, significant, and biologically important differences among P. densata populations in seed germination and seedling growth traits. 5Nonsmooth identification of mechanical systems with backlash-like hysteresis显示文摘Backlash-like hysteresis is one of the nonsmooth and multi-valued nonlinearities usually existing in mechanical systems. The traditional identification method is quite difficult to be used to model the systems involved with such complex nonlinearities. In this paper, a nonsmooth recursive identification algorithm for the systems with backlash-like hysteresis is proposed. In this method, the concept of Clarke subgradient is introduced to approximate the gradients at nonsmooth points and the so-called bundle method is used to obtain the optimization search direction in nonsmooth cases. Then, a recursive algorithm based on the idea of bundle method is developed for parameter estimation. After that, the convergence analysis of the algorithm is investigated. 8Reducing the Internal Difference Error Rate in Hospital Pharmacies:From the Angle of Quality Control Circle显示文摘Objective To improve the management level of pharmacy dispensing center,reduce dispensing errors and promote the safety of drug use.Methods Hospital pharmacies could be managed according to the theory of quality control circle(QCC).Based on the ten steps of QCC,the internal difference error rate in pharmacies could be reduced.Results and Conclusion The error rate of pharmacies was reduced from 2.74‰to 0.57‰,and the goal achievement rate was 108.466.Besides,the progress rate reached 84.82%.The abilities of circle members were improved,and the operation of pharmacy was more standardized.The activity of QCC is helpful to reduce the internal difference error rate,improve the operation level of pharmacy and ensure the safety of drug use.Wang Shuling Lei Yingzi Liu Linchuan Wang Ruili He Yalan 2020Asian Journal of Social Pharmacy2020,15,2:1
9Air pollution health burden embodied in China's supply chains显示文摘Product trade plays an increasing role in relocating production and the associated air pollution impact among sectors and regions.While a comprehensive depiction of atmospheric pollution redistribution through trade chains is missing,which may hinder targeted clean air cooperation among sectors and regions.Here,we combined five state-of-the-art models from physics,economy,and epidemiology to track the anthropogenic fine particle matters(PM_(2.5))related premature mortality along the supply chains within China in 2017.Our results highlight the key sectors that affect PM_(2.5)-related mortality from both production and consumption perspectives.The consumption-based effects from food,light industry,equipment,construction,and services sectors,caused 2e22 times higher deaths than those from a production perspective and totally contributed 63%of the national total.From a cross-boundary perspective,25.7%of China's PM_(2.5)-related deaths were caused by interprovincial trade,with the largest transfer occurring from the central and northern regions to well-developed east coast provinces.Capital investment dominated the cross-boundary effect(56%of the total)by involving substantial equipment and construction products,which greatly rely on product exports from regions with specific resources.This supply chain-based analysis provides a comprehensive quantification and may inform more effective joint-control efforts among associated regions and sectors from a health risk perspective.Hongyan Zhao Ruili Wu Yang Liu Jing Cheng Guannan Geng Yixuan Zheng Hezhong Tian Kebin He Qiang Zhang 2023Environmental Science and Ecotechnology2023,,4:0
10Is It Easy to Recognize Baby's Age and Gender?显示文摘Face analysis tasks,e.g.,estimating gender or age from a face image,have been attracting increasing interest in recent years.However,most existing studies focus mainly on analyzing an adult's face and ignore an interesting question:is it easy to estimate gender and age from a baby's face?In this paper,we explore this interesting problem.We first collect a new face image dataset for our research,named BabyFace,which contains 15528 images from 5872 babies younger than two years old.Besides gender,each face image is annotated with age in months from 0 to 24.In addition,we propose new age estimation and gender recognition methods.In particular,based on SSR-Net backbone,we introduce the attention mechanism module to solve the age estimation problem on the BabyFace dataset,named SSR-SE.In the part of gender recognition,inspired by the age estimation method,we also use a two-stream structure,named Two-Steam SE-block with Augment(TSSEAug).We extensively evaluate the performance of the proposed methods against the state-of-the-art methods on BabyFace.Our age estimation model achieves very appealing performance with an estimation error of less than two months.The proposed gender recognition method obtains the best accuracy among all compared methods.To the best of our knowledge,we are the first to study age estimation and gender recognition from a baby's face image,which is complementary to existing adult gender and age estimation methods and can shed some light on exploring baby face analysis.Yang Liu Ruili He Xiaoqian Lv Wei Wang Xin Sun Shengping Zhang 2021Journal of Computer Science & Technology2021,36,3:0
11Design and aligner-assisted fast fabrication of a microfluidic platform for quasi-3D cell studies on an elastic polymer显示文摘While most studies of mechanical stimulation of cells are focused on two-dimensional(2D)and three-dimensional(3D)systems,it is rare to study the effects of cyclic stretching on cells under a quasi-3D microenvironment as a linkage between 2D and 3D.Herein,we report a new method to prepare an elastic membrane with topographic microstructures and integrate the membrane into a microfluidic chip.The fabrication difficulty lay not only in the preparation of microstructures but also in the alignment and bonding of the patterned membrane to other layers.To resolve the problem,we designed and assembled a fast aligner that is cost-effective and convenient to operate.To enable quasi-3D microenvironment of cells,we fabricated polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)microwell arrays(formed by micropillars of a few microns in diameter)with the microwell diameters close to the cell sizes.An appropriate plasma treatment was found to afford a coating-free approach to enable cell adhesion on PDMS.We examined three types of cells in 2D,quasi-3D,and 3D microenvironments;the cell adhesion results showed that quasi-3D cells behaved between 2D and 3D cells.We also constructed transgenic human mesenchymal stem cells(hMSCs);under cyclic stretching,the visualizable live hMSCs in microwells were found to orientate differently from in a 3D Matrigel matrix and migrate differently from on a 2D flat plate.This study not only provides valuable tools for microfabrication of a microfluidic device for cell studies,but also inspires further studies of the topological effects of biomaterials on cells.Yingning He Yue Yu Yuqian Yang Yexin Gu Tianjiao Mao Yang Shen Qiong Liu Ruili Liu Jiandong Ding 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,9:0

13A nonsmooth IMC method for mechanical systems with backlash显示文摘This paper proposes a discrete-time nonsmooth internal model control(NSIMC)approach for mechanical transmission systems described by so-called sandwich system with backlash.In this method,a dynamic compensator is introduced to compensate for the effect of the input linear subsystem.Thus,the sandwich systems with backlash can be simplifed as a pseudo-Hammerstein system with backlash.The corresponding NSIMC strategy is designed to control this system.The design procedure of the controller is presented based on the analysis on the robust stability by considering the model errors involved with the effect of backlash as well as the compensated error of the input linear subsystem.Moreover,as the model is switched among the different operating zones,the robust flters are proposed to guarantee the robust stability and satisfactory control performance of the system.Ruili DONG Yonghong TAN David HE 2013控制理论与应用(英文版)2013,11,4:0
14PARK16 rs708730 Polymorphism Decreases Parkinson’s Disease Risk in European Ancestry Population:A Meta-analysis显示文摘Parkinson’s disease(PD)is a complex fatal chronic neurodegenerative disease most common in elderly people.The early genome-wide association studies(GWAS)found that the minor allele variant of PARK16 rs708730 polymorphism is a significant protective factor for PD in Caucasian populations.However,these results cannot be repeated by the following studies in Caucasian populations and other populations.We considered that the inconsistency of the findings may be caused by the small-scale samples or the heterogeneity among different populations.Therefore,in this study,we synthesized the previous related GWAS studies through three authoritative sources,and used the large-scale samples(10,645 PD cases and 30,499 controls)to reevaluate the association between rs708730 polymorphism and PD.The results showed that there is no association between them in Asian ancestry population.While,in European ancestry population,we found that the minor allele variant(G)of rs708730 polymorphism is significantly associated with a decreased risk of PD.Collectively,our findings further verified the association of rs708730 with PD and show its genetic heterogeneity among different populations,which can help to develop a better understanding of the PD’s pathogenesis.Zhijie Han Baochu Wei Chenghong Zhang Hongtian Zhu Lei Tang Ruili Lin Dian He Yang Zhang Pingrong Yang Junquan He Pingshun Song 2019Journal of Geriatric Medicine2019,1,2:0
