1Effi cacy of tricyclic antidepressants in irritable bowel syndrome:A meta-analysis显示文摘We aimed to evaluate the efficacy of tricyclic antidepressants(TCAs) as a therapeutic option for irritable bowel syndrome(IBS) through meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials.For the years 1966 until September 2008,PubMed,Scopus,Web of Science,and Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials were searched for double-blind,placebo-controlled trials investigating the effi cacy of TCAs in the management of IBS.Seven randomized,placebo-controlled clinical trials met our criteria and were included in the metaanalysis.TCAs used in the treatment arm of these trials included amitriptyline,imipramine,desipramine,doxepin and trimipramine.The pooled relative risk for clinical improvement with TCA therapy was 1.93(95% CI:1.44 to 2.6,P<0.0001).Effect size of TCAs versus placebo for mean change in abdominal pain score among the two studies was -44.15(95% CI:-53.27 to -35.04,P<0.0001).It is concluded that low dose TCAs exhibit clinically and statistically signifi cant control of IBS symptoms.Roja Rahimi Shekoufeh Nikfar Ali Rezaie Mohammad Abdollahi 2009World Journal of Gastroenterology2009,15,13:22
2Hemodynamic monitoring during liver transplantation:A state of the art review显示文摘Orthotopic liver transplantation can be marked by significant hemodynamic instability requiring the use of a variety of hemodynamic monitors to aide in intraoperative management. Invasive blood pressure monitoring is essential,but the accuracy of peripheral readings in comparison to central measurements has been questioned. When discrepancies exist,central mean arterial pressure,usually measured at the femoral artery,is considered more indicative of adequateperfusion than those measured peripherally. The traditional pulmonary artery catheter is less frequently used due to its invasive nature and known limitations in measuring preload but still plays an important role in measuring cardiac output(CO) when required and in the management of portopulmonary hypertension. Pulse wave analysis is a newer technology that uses computer algorithms to calculate CO,stroke volume variation(SVV) and pulse pressure variation(PPV). Although SVV and PPV have been found to be accurate predicators of fluid responsiveness,CO measurements are not reliable during liver transplantation. Transesophageal echocardiography is finding an increasing role in the realtime monitoring of preload status,cardiac contractility and the diagnosis of a variety of pathologies. 3Gastrointestinal motility and absorptive disorders in patients with inflammatory bowel diseases: Prevalence, diagnosis and treatment显示文摘Inflammatory bowel diseases(IBD),Crohns disease and ulcerative colitis,are chronic conditions associated with high morbidity and healthcare costs.The natural history of IBD is variable and marked by alternating periods of flare and remission.Even though the use of newer therapeutic targets has been associated with higher rates of mucosal healing,a great proportion of IBD patients remain symptomatic despite effective control of inflammation.These symptoms may include but not limited to abdominal pain,dyspepsia,diarrhea,urgency,fecal incontinence,constipation or bloating.In this setting,commonly there is an overlap with gastrointestinal(GI)motility and absorptive disorders.Early recognition of these conditions greatly improves patient care and may decrease the risk of mistreatment.Therefore,in this review we describe the prevalence,diagnosis and treatment of GI motility and absorptive disorders that commonly affect patients with IBD.Luísa Leite Barros Alberto Queiroz Farias Ali Rezaie 2019World Journal of Gastroenterology2019,25,31:8
4Influence of the roughness and shape of quartz particles on their flotation kinetics显示文摘Surface roughness and shape play an important role on the behavior of particles in various processes such as flotation. In this re-search, the influence of different grinding methods on the surface roughness and shape characteristics of quartz particles as well as the effect of these parameters on the flotation of the particles was investigated. The surface roughness of the particles was determined by measuring their specific surface area via the gas adsorption method. The shape characteristics of the particles were measured and calculated by images obtained by scanning electron microscopy via an image analysis system. The flotation kinetics was determined using a laboratory flotation cell. The results showed that the particles of rod mill products have higher roughness and elongation ratio and lower roundness than the parti-cles of ball mill products. The flotation kinetics constant of the particles increased with their surface roughness increasing. Particles with higher elongation and lower roundness indicated higher floatability. 6Spatial prediction of landslide susceptibility in western Serbia using hybrid support vector regression(SVR)with GWO,BAT and COA algorithms显示文摘In this study,we developed multiple hybrid machine-learning models to address parameter optimization limitations and enhance the spatial prediction of landslide susceptibility models.We created a geographic information system database,and our analysis results were used to prepare a landslide inventory map containing 359 landslide events identified from Google Earth,aerial photographs,and other validated sources.A support vector regression(SVR)machine-learning model was used to divide the landslide inventory into training(70%)and testing(30%)datasets.The landslide susceptibility map was produced using 14 causative factors.We applied the established gray wolf optimization(GWO)algorithm,bat algorithm(BA),and cuckoo optimization algorithm(COA)to fine-tune the parameters of the SVR model to improve its predictive accuracy.The resultant hybrid models,SVR-GWO,SVR-BA,and SVR-COA,were validated in terms of the area under curve(AUC)and root mean square error(RMSE).The AUC values for the SVR-GWO(0.733),SVR-BA(0.724),and SVR-COA(0.738)models indicate their good prediction rates for landslide susceptibility modeling.SVR-COA had the greatest accuracy,with an RMSE of 0.21687,and SVR-BA had the least accuracy,with an RMSE of 0.23046.The three optimized hybrid models outperformed the SVR model(AUC=0.704,RMSE=0.26689),confirming the ability of metaheuristic algorithms to improve model performance.Abdul-Lateef Balogun Fatemeh Rezaie Quoc Bao Pham Ljubomir Gigović Siniša Drobnjak Yusuf AAina Mahdi Panahi Shamsudeen Temitope Yekeen Saro Lee 2021Geoscience Frontiers2021,12,3:6
7Estimation of froth flotation recovery and collision probability based on operational parameters using an artificial neural network显示文摘An artificial neural network and regression procedures were used to predict the recovery and collision probability of quartz flotation concentrate in different operational conditions. Flotation parameters, such as dimensionless numbers (Froude, Reynolds, and Weber), particle size, air flow rate, bubble diameter, and bubble rise velocity, were used as inputs to both methods. The linear regression method shows that the relationships between flotation parameters and the recovery and collision probability of flotation can achieve correlation coefficients (R2) of 0.54 and 0.87, respectively. A feed-forward artificial neural network with 3-3-3-2 arrangement is able to simultaneously estimate the recovery and collision probability as the outputs. In testing stages, the quite satisfactory correlation coefficient of 0.98 was achieved for both outputs. 8Effect of crocin carotenoid on BDNF and CREB gene expression in brain ventral tegmental area of morphine treated rats显示文摘Objective: To investigate the effect of crocin carotenoid on BNDF and CREB gene expression in the brain ventral tegmental area(VTA) and the serum level of BDNF in morphine-treated rats compared to control. Methods: In this study, 40 male Wistar rats(200-250 g) were used in 5 experimental groups: 1) non morphine treat rats(control); 2) non morphine-treated rats with 25 mg/kg crocin carotenoid(i.p., for 21 d); 3) morphine treated rats(10 mg/kg twice a day, s.c., 21 d); 4 and 5) morphine-treated rats with 12.5 and 25 mg/kg crocin carotenoid, respectively. By the end of research, BDNF and CREB expression was determined by real-time-PCR method. ELISA analysis was also applied for assessing the serum BDNF level. Results: The data indicated that morphine treatment could cause a significant decrease in BDNF and CREB gene expression(P<0.01 and P<0.001, respectively) in brain VTA as well as serum level of BDNF(P<0.01) in comparison to control group. Treatment with 25 mg/kg crocin carotenoid caused a significant enhancement in BDNF and CREF gene expression(P<0.01 and P<0.05, respectively) and serum level of BDNF(P<0.01) in morphine-treated rats in comparison to morphine-treated group. 9Polymeric vs hydroxyapatite-based scaffolds on dental pulp stem cell proliferation and differentiation显示文摘AIM: To evaluate adhesion, proliferation and differentiation of human dental pulp stem cells(h DPSCs) on four commercially available scaffold biomaterials. METHODS: hD PSCs were isolated from human dental pulp tissues of extracted wisdom teeth and established in stem cell growth medium. h DPSCs at passage 3-5 were seeded on four commercially available scaffold biomaterials, SureO ss(Allograft), Cerabone(Xenograft), PLLA(Synthetic), and OSTEON Ⅱ Collagen(Composite), for 7 and 14 d in osteogenic medium. Cell adhesion and morphology to the scaffolds were evaluated by scanning electron microscopy(SEM). Cell proliferation and differentiation into osteogenic lineage were evaluated using DNA counting and alkaline phosphatase(ALP) activity assay, respectively. RESULTS: All scaffold biomaterials except Sure Oss(Allograft) supported h DPSC adhesion, proliferation and differentiation. hD PSCs seeded on PLLA(Synthetic) scaffold showed the highest cell proliferation and attachment as indicated with both SEM and DNA counting assay. Evaluating the osteogenic differentiation capability of hD PSCs on different scaffold biomaterials with ALP activity assay showed high level of ALP activity on cells cultured on PLLA(Synthetic) and OSTEON ⅡCollagen(Composite) scaffolds. SEM micrographs also showed that in the presence of Cerabone(Xenograft) and OSTEON Ⅱ Collagen(Composite) scaffolds, the h DPSCs demonstrated the fibroblastic phenotype with several cytoplasmic extension, while the cells on PLLA scaffold showed the osteoblastic-like morphology, round-like shape. CONCLUSION: PLLA scaffold supports adhesion, proliferation and osteogenic differentiation of hD PSCs. 10Numerical simulation of high voltage electric pulse comminution of phosphate ore显示文摘Numerical simulation of the electrical field distribution helps in-depth understanding of the mechanisms behind the responses and the benefits of the high voltage pulse comminution. The COMSOL Multiphysics package was used to numerically simulate the effect of ore compositions in this study. Regarding phosphate ore particles shape and composition, the effects of mineral composition, particle size, particle shape and electrodes distance were investigated on the electrical field intensity and distribution. The results show that the induced electrical field is significantly dependent on the electrical properties of minerals,the feed particle size and the location of conductive minerals in ores. The angle of material contact surface with the discharge electrode is also an important factor in the intensity of electrical field. Moreover,it is found that the specific liberation effect at the disintegration of phosphate ore by electrical pulses is due to the locality of the electrical field at the interface of mineral components of the phosphate ore aggregates with different permittivities. However, the intensity of the electrical field increases with sharpening the contact angle. 15Selective separation of gallium from aluminum in SDS–Ga–Al and SDS–Ga–Al–fluoride systems by ion flotation显示文摘Selective separation of gallium from aluminum by ion flotation using sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS) as an anionic surfactant and fluoride as an inorganic ligand was investigated. The experimental results were analyzed using the stability constants and speciation diagrams of fluoride metal complexes. The presence of fluoride in the solution has a positive influence upon the separation of gallium from aluminum. The results show that increasing the fluoride concentration makes a more effective separation of gallium from aluminum because of a simultaneous increase in the complexion of aluminum with fluoride and a change in the electrical charge of the aluminum(ALF_4^-). 17高压电选法从石英中分离锆石的新预处理方法(英文)显示文摘静电选矿是一种基于矿物导电性的矿物加工方法。但该方法存在一些严重问题,如对湿度敏感,中矿产率高和含有非导电矿物杂质。为克服这些缺点,本文作者提出一种新的预处理方法,用于在静电选矿前从石英中分离锆石。预处理包括两个阶段:一是使用十二烷基硫酸钠(SDS)作捕集剂调节锆石表面的润湿性,二是喷洒电解质水溶液以提高石英表面的导电性。考察pH值、捕集剂浓度、调节时间、电解质浓度和种类等重要参数对分选效率的影响。研究表明,高压电选的最佳条件如下:pH值为4,SDS浓度为1×10-4 mol/L,调节时间为4 min,NaCl为电解质,其浓度为4.27 mol/L,最佳条件下的分选效率为95.12%。该预处理方法可成功地应用于高压电选前各种组成的导电性或非导电性矿物的分选。Sivash NOURI Fatemeh Sadat HOSEINIAN Bahram REZAI Kamal SABERYAN 2019Transactions of Nonferrous Metals Society of China2019,29,8:2
18Mg-P/c-SWCNT Bone Cement: The Effect of Filler on Setting Behavior,Compressive Strength and Biocompatibility显示文摘Improving the strength of bone cement is one of the critical goals in cement designing to maintain their integrity and stabilize connection between the cement and their surrounding tissue during the time that the cement has been replaced by matured bone tissue.To this aim,the authors decided to evaluate setting behavior and compressive strength of Magnesium Phosphate Cement(MPC)by adding carboxylated Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes(c-SWCNTs)and assess the biocompatibility of the composite cement.MPC containing 0 wt%to 0.5 wt% of c-SWCNTs at the Powder to Liquid Ratio(PLR)of 1 g·mL^-1 to 2 g·mL^-1 were produced.Adding c-SWCNTs to MPC postponed the setting time of the cement at the beginning of the cementation process and preserved the reaction with a high rate for a longer time.In addition,the compressive strength of MPC was enhanced to 28 MPa by adding 0.2 wt%c-SWCNTs because of producing cement with compact and uniform microstructure.In addition,cell behavior on MPC with/without c-SWCNTs indicated no cytotoxic effect alongside a suitable adhesion and proliferation of them.Mohammad Hossein Esnaashary Alireza Khavandi Hamid Reza Rezaie Jafar Javadpour 2020Journal of Bionic Engineering2020,17,1:2
