| 1 | Molecular detection of monocyte chemotactic protein-1 polymorphism in spontaneous bacterial peritonitis patients显示文摘AIM: To investigate the association of the functional monocyte chemotactic protein-1(MCP-1) promoter polymorphism(A-2518G) with spontaneous bacterial peritonitis(SBP).METHODS: Fifty patients with post-hepatitis C liver cirrhosis and ascites were categorized into two groups; group Ⅰ included 25 patients with SBP and group Ⅱ included 25 patients free from SBP. In addition, a group of 20 healthy volunteers were included. We assessed the MCP-1 gene polymorphism and gene expression as well as interleukin(IL)-10 levels in both blood and ascitic fluid. RESULTS: A significant MCP-1 gene polymorphism was detected in groups Ⅰ and Ⅱ(P = 0.001 and 0.02 respectively). Group Ⅰ was associated with a significantly higher frequency of AG genotype [control 8(40%) vs SBP 19(76.0%), P < 0.001], and group Ⅱ was associated with a significantly higher frequency of GG genotype when compared to healthy volunteers [control 1(5%) vs cirrhotic 16(64%), P < 0.001]. Accordingly, the frequency of G allele was significantly higher in both groups(Ⅰ and Ⅱ) [control 10(25%) vs SBP 27(54%), P < 0.001 and vs cirrhotic 37(74.0%), P < 0.001, respectively]. The total blood and ascetic fluid levels of IL-10 and MCP-1 gene expression were significantly higher in group Ⅰ than in group Ⅱ. Group Ⅰ showed significant reductions in the levels of MCP-1 gene expression and IL-10 in the whole blood and ascetic fluid after therapy. CONCLUSION: MCP-1 GG genotype and G allele may predispose HCV infected patients to a more progressive disease course, while AG genotype may increase the susceptibility to SBP. | 2 | Retinal ganglion cell complex changes using spectral domain optical coherence tomography in diabetic patients without retinopathy显示文摘AIM:To assess the ganglion cell complex(GCC)thickness in diabetic eyes without retinopathy. METHODS:Two groups included 45 diabetic eyes without retinopathy and 21 non diabetic eyes. All subjects underwent full medical and ophthalmological history,full ophthalmological examination,measuring GCC thickness and central foveal thickness(CFT)using the RTVue~? spectral domainoptical coherence tomography(SD-OCT),and HbA1C level.RESULTS:GCC focal loss volume(FLV%)was significantly more in diabetic eyes(22.2% below normal)than normal eyes(P=0.024). No statistically significant difference was found between the diabetic group and the control group regarding GCC global loss volume(GLV%)(P=0.160). CFT was positively correlated to the average,superior and inferior GCC(P=0.001,0.000 and 0.001 respectively)and negatively correlated to GLV% and FLV%(P=0.002 and0.031 respectively)in diabetic eyes. C/D ratio in diabetic eyes was negatively correlated to average,superior and inferior GCC(P=0.015,0.007 and 0.017 respectively). The FLV% was negatively correlated to the refraction and level of Hb A1c(P=0.019 and 0.013 respectively)and positively correlated to the best corrected visual acuity(BCVA)in log MAR in diabetic group(P=0.004).CONCLUSION:Significant GCC thinning in diabetes predates retinal vasculopathy,which is mainly focal rather than diffuse. It has no preference to either the superior or inferior halves of the macula. Increase of myopic error is significantly accompanied with increased focal GCC loss. | 3 | The Emergency Department Crash Cart: A systematic review and suggested contents显示文摘BACKGROUND: As the field of Emergency Medicine grows worldwide, the importance of an Emergency Department Crash Cart(EDCC) has long been recognized. Yet, there is paucity of relevant peer-reviewed literature specifically discussing EDCCs or proposing detailed features for an EDCC suitable for both adult and pediatric patients. METHODS: The authors performed a systematic review of EDCC-specific literature indexed in Pubmed and Embase on December 20, 2016. In addition, the authors reviewed the 2015 American Heart Association(AHA) guidelines for cardiopulmonary resuscitation and emergency cardiovascular care, the 2015 European Resuscitation Council(ERC) guidelines for resuscitation, and the 2013 American College of Surgeons(ACS) Advanced Trauma Life Support(ATLS) 9 th edition.RESULTS: There were a total of 277 results, with 192 unique results and 85 duplicates. After careful review by two independent reviewers, all but four references were excluded. None of the four included articles described comprehensive contents of equipment and medications for both the adult and pediatric populations. This article describes in detail the final four articles specific to EDCC, and proposes a set of suggested contents for the EDCC. CONCLUSION: Our systematic review shows the striking paucity of such a high impact indispensable item in the ED. | 4 | 脱氧血红蛋白与吸入氧气浓度乘积对神经重症患者发生低氧血症的诊断价值研究显示文摘目的评估脱氧血红蛋白(HHb)与吸入氧浓度(FiO_(2))乘积对神经重症患者发生低氧血症的诊断价值。方法选取首都医科大学附属北京天坛医院神经重症医学科2018年6—9月收治的77例脑卒中患者作为研究对象,其中脑梗死45例,脑出血、蛛网膜下腔出血各16例。收集患者住院期间的血气分析结果,以血氧分压(PaO_(2))/FiO_(2)为金标准进行分组,统计血氧饱和度(SaO_(2))、HHb×FiO_(2)对低氧血症诊断的灵敏度、特异度等指标。结果随着低氧血症的出现及加重,SaO_(2)、氧合血红蛋白(O_(2)Hb)均呈下降趋势,而HHb、HHb×FiO_(2)等指标呈上升趋势。其中与SaO_(2)相比,HHb×FiO_(2)对轻度及中重度低氧血症的诊断效能更好,受试者工作特征曲线下面积分别是0.910、0.980,灵敏度分别是0.922、1.000,特异度分别是0.802、0.899,并且其在贫血患者中对低氧血症的诊断效能较好。结论HHb×FiO_(2)作为一个新指标,能有效诊断神经重症患者低氧血症的发生,且其诊断效能优于SaO_(2)。 | 李国歌 杨中华 史一君 钱玲烨 Rasha Alsamani Osman 杨波 张长青 刘丽萍 张国军 | 2021 | 国际检验医学杂志2021,42,5: | 3 |
| 5 | Improving the reconstruction efficiency of sparsity adaptive matching pursuit based on the Wilkinson matrix显示文摘Sparsity adaptive matching pursuit(SAMP)is a greedy reconstruction algorithm for compressive sensing signals.SAMP reconstructs signals without prior information of sparsity and presents better reconstruction performance for noisy signals compared to other greedy algorithms.However,SAMP still suffers from relatively poor reconstruction quality especially at high compression ratios.In the proposed research,the Wilkinson matrix is used as a sensing matrix to improve the reconstruction quality and to increase the compression ratio of the SAMP technique.Furthermore,the idea of block compressive sensing(BCS)is combined with the SAMP technique to improve the performance of the SAMP technique.Numerous simulations have been conducted to evaluate the proposed BCS-SAMP technique and to compare its results with those of several compressed sensing techniques.Simulation results show that the proposed BCS-SAMP technique improves the reconstruction quality by up to six decibels(d B)relative to the conventional SAMP technique.In addition,the reconstruction quality of the proposed BCS-SAMP is highly comparable to that of iterative techniques.Moreover,the computation time of the proposed BCS-SAMP is less than that of the iterative techniques,especially at lower measurement fractions. | Rasha SHOITAN Zaki NOSSAIR I.I.IBRAHIM Ahmed TOBAL | 2018 | Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering2018,19,4: | 3 |

Nanocomposites are class of materials that contain at least one phase in the nanometric size range and can be produced by any suitable technique for preparing nanomaterials. Composites are an interesting class of materials that have recently been used in numerous applications, including structural, biomedical, electronics, and environmental applications. In composites, reinforcements might be fibers, particulates, or whiskers. Mechanical alloying(MA) is a promising technique for producing nanocomposite materials that are difficult or impossible to prepare via conventional techniques. In this review, we provide an overview of nanocomposites prepared by the MA process. | 7 | Number of COVID-19 cases required in a population to detect SARS-CoV-2 RNA in wastewater in the province of Alberta, Canada:Sensitivity assessment显示文摘With a unique and large size of testing results of 1,842 samples collected from 12 wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) for 14 months through from low to high prevalence of COVID-19,the sensitivity of RT-qPCR detection of SARS-CoV-2 RNA in wastewater that correspond to the communities was computed by using Probit analysis.This study determined the number of new COVID-19 cases per 100,000 population required to detect SARS-CoV-2RNA in wastewater at defined probabilities and provided an evidence-based framework of wastewater-based epidemiology surveillance (WBE).Input data were positive and negative test results of SARS-CoV-2 RNA in wastewater samples and the corresponding new COVID-19 case rates per 100,000 population served by each WWTP.The analyses determined that RT-qPCR-based SARS-CoV-2 RNA detection threshold at 50%,80%and 99%probability required a median of 8 (range:4-19),18 (9-43),and 38 (17-97) of new COVID-19 cases/100,000,respectively.Namely,the positive detection rate at 50%,80%and 99%probability were 0.01%,0.02%,and 0.04%averagely for new cases in the population.This study improves understanding of the performance of WBE SARS-CoV-2 RNA detection using the large datasets and prolonged study period.Estimated COVID-19 burden at a community level that would result in a positive detection of SARS-CoV-2 in wastewater is critical to support WBE application as a supplementary warning/monitoring system for COVID-19 prevention and control. | Qiaozhi Li Bonita E.Lee Tiejun Gao Yuanyuan Qiu Erik Ellehoj Jiaao Yu Mathew Diggle Graham Tipples Rasha Maal-Bared Deena Hinshaw Christopher Sikora Nicholas J.Ashbolt James Talbot Steve E.Hrudey Xiaoli Pang | 2023 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,3: | 2 |

| 9 | Squamous cell carcinoma metastatic to cervical lymph nodes from unknown primary origin:the impact of chemoradiotherapy显示文摘The management of cervical lymph node metastases of squamous cell carcinoma from an unknown primary site is still a therapeutic challenge.We report here our experience in treating these patients with chemoradiotherapy as a curative approach.Data from 40 patients were reviewed.In total,20(50%) patients underwent excisional biopsy.All patients underwent radiotherapy,which was delivered to both sides of the neck and pharyngeal mucosa(extensive field),and concurrent chemotherapy consisting of weekly cisplatin at a dose of 40 mg/m2.The clinical stage of the cervical nodes at presentation was N1 in 25%,N2 in 60%,and N3 in 15%.Most patients(75%) developed at least grade 3 mucositis.Eight patients(20%) had grade 3 xerostomia and 18 patients(45%) required esophageal dilation for stricture.The 5-year overall survival(OS) rate of all patients was 67.5%.The 5-year OS rates of patients with N1,N2,and N3 lesions were 100%,67%,and 41%,respectively(P = 0.046).The 5-year progression-free survival rate was 62.5%.In multivariate analysis,only N stage significantly affected OS(P = 0.022).Emergence of the occult primary was very limited(1 patient only).Our results suggest that extensive irradiation of both sides of the neck and pharyngeal mucosa with concurrent chemotherapy results in a lower emergence of primary tumor.Because the survival of patients with unknown primary is comparable to that of patients with known primary,an attempt at cure should always be made. | Hany Eldeeb Rasha Hamdy Hamed | 2012 | Chinese Journal of Cancer2012,31,10: | 2 |

| 13 | 基于串联质谱标签技术筛选免疫介导性脱髓鞘疾病诊断与鉴别诊断的生物标志物显示文摘目的采用串联质谱标签(TMT)联合液相色谱串联质谱(LC-MS/MS)筛选免疫介导性脱髓鞘疾病诊断与鉴别诊断的潜在生物标志物。方法选择首都医科大学附属北京天坛医院2020年1月至2021年1月收治的20例脱髓鞘疾病患者(脱髓鞘组),包括10例吉兰-巴雷综合征(GBS)患者(GBS亚组)与10例多发性硬化(MS)患者(MS亚组)。以及10例神经系统非炎性疾病(NND)患者(NND组),通过TMT蛋白质组学技术筛选出脱髓鞘组与NND组、GBS亚组与MS亚组间具有表达差异的蛋白质(差异倍数>2或<0.5且差异有统计学意义),借助String数据库对组间差异蛋白质所参与的通路进行基因本体(GO)富集分析和京都基因和基因组百科全书(KEGG)富集分析。另选择同期就诊的80例脱髓鞘疾病患者(脱髓鞘病验证组)以及40名健康体检者(健康对照组)用于血脂一般指标的回顾性分析,脱髓鞘病验证组包括40例GBS患者(GBS验证组)及40例MS患者(MS验证组)。绘制受试者工作特征(ROC)曲线评价血脂一般指标对脱髓鞘病诊断及GBS与MS间鉴别诊断的价值。结果经TMT蛋白质组学技术检测出362种蛋白质,脱髓鞘组与NND组比较共有101个差异蛋白,GBS亚组与MS亚组比较共有45个差异蛋白。GO富集分析结果显示,脱髓鞘组与NND组相比,富集度前5条通路为巨噬细胞集落刺激因子及受体复合物、胆固醇输入负调控、极低密度脂蛋白颗粒清除负调控、含甘油三酯丰富的脂蛋白颗粒重构、胆固醇逆向转运。GBS亚组与MS组相比,富集度前5条通路为高密度脂蛋白颗粒受体结合、极低密度脂蛋白颗粒重塑负调控、胆固醇输入负调控、极低密度脂蛋白颗粒清除负调控、中等密度脂蛋白颗粒。KEGG富集分析显示,脱髓鞘组与NND组的差异蛋白富集到8条通路,为磷脂酰肌醇3激酶-蛋白激酶B信号通路、补体和凝固级联反应、细胞外基质及其受体交互、金黄色葡萄球菌感染、胆固醇代谢、Ras信号通路、吞噬体、丝裂原活化蛋白激酶信号通路。GBS亚组与MS亚组的差异蛋白富集到9条通路,为胆固醇代谢、补体和凝固级联反应、血小板激活、过氧化物酶体增殖物激活受体信号通路、维生素消化吸收、新型冠状病毒感染、脂肪消化吸收、轴突引导、中性粒细胞胞外陷阱形成通路。脱髓鞘病验证组与健康对照组比较,甘油三酯(TG)、总胆固醇(TC)、低密度脂蛋白胆固醇(LDL-C)及载脂蛋白(apo)B水平较高(P均<0.01),高密度脂蛋白胆固醇(HDL-C)及apoA1水平较低(P均<0.01)。GBS验证组与MS验证组比较,LDL-C及apoB水平较高,HDL-C及apoA1水平较低(P均<0.05)。TG、TC、HDL-C、LDL-C、apoA1与apoB单独及联合检测对免疫介导性脱髓鞘病诊断的ROC曲线下面积分别为0.746、0.643、0.798、0.703、0.806、0.708和0.868。HDL-C、apoA1、LDL-C及apoB单独及联合检测对与GBS与MS鉴别诊断的ROC曲线下面积分别为0.692、0.653、0.632、0.695和0.718。结论免疫介导性脱髓鞘疾病患者与NND、GBS与MS患者脑脊液蛋白质组学存在差异,且差异蛋白主要存在于血脂代谢相关通路,血脂相关指标或可作为今后免疫介导性脱髓鞘疾病诊断及鉴别诊断的生物标志物。 | 丁耀威 史一君 Rasha 李国歌 姜文灿 郑光辉 张国军 | 2022 | 中华检验医学杂志2022,45,1: | 1 |

| 15 | Hybrid Deep Learning Based Attack Detection for Imbalanced Data Classification显示文摘Internet of Things(IoT)is the most widespread and fastest growing technology today.Due to the increasing of IoT devices connected to the Internet,the IoT is the most technology under security attacks.The IoT devices are not designed with security because they are resource constrained devices.Therefore,having an accurate IoT security system to detect security attacks is challenging.Intrusion Detection Systems(IDSs)using machine learning and deep learning techniques can detect security attacks accurately.This paper develops an IDS architecture based on Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)and Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM)deep learning algorithms.We implement our model on the UNSW-NB15 dataset which is a new network intrusion dataset that cate-gorizes the network traffic into normal and attacks traffic.In this work,interpolation data preprocessing is used to compute the missing values.Also,the imbalanced data problem is solved using a synthetic data generation method.Extensive experiments have been implemented to compare the performance results of the proposed model(CNN+LSTM)with a basic model(CNN only)using both balanced and imbalanced dataset.Also,with some state-of-the-art machine learning classifiers(Decision Tree(DT)and Random Forest(RF))using both balanced and imbalanced dataset.The results proved the impact of the balancing technique.The proposed hybrid model with the balance technique can classify the traffic into normal class and attack class with reasonable accuracy(92.10%)compared with the basic CNN model(89.90%)and the machine learning(DT 88.57%and RF 90.85%)models.Moreover,comparing the proposed model results with the most related works shows that the proposed model gives good results compared with the related works that used the balance techniques. | Rasha Almarshdi Laila Nassef Etimad Fadel Nahed Alowidi | 2023 | Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing2023,,1: | 1 |
