| 4 | Effects of Multiple Cleaning and Disinfection Interventions on Infectious Diseases in Children: A Group Randomized Trial in China显示文摘Objective To assess the effectiveness of multiple cleaning and disinfection interventions in the homes and kindergartens, in reducing gastrointestinal and respiratory illnesses of children. Methods From October 2010 to September 2011, we performed a prospective, controlled study in China. 408 children under 5 years old were recruited and group randomized into intervention and control groups. Families and kindergartens in the intervention group were provided with antibacterial products for hand hygiene and surface cleaning or disinfection for one year. Each child's illness symptoms and sick leave were recorded every day. Results A total of 393 children completed the study, with similar baseline demographics in each of the 2 groups. Except for abdominal pain, the odds of symptoms(fever, cough and expectoration, runny nose and nasal congestion, diarrhea), illness(acute respiratory illness and gastrointestinal illness), and sick leave per person each month were significantly reduced by interventions. The rates of fever, diarrhea, acute respiratory illness, gastrointestinal illness and sick leave per person per year were significantly decreased as well. | 5 | Encoding methods matching the 16×16 pixel CZT detector of a coded aperture gamma camera显示文摘With the advancements in nuclear energy,methods that can accurately obtain the spatial information of radioactive sources have become essential for nuclear energy safety.Coded aperture imaging technology is widely used because it provides two-dimensional distribution information of radioactive sources.The coded array is a major component of a coded aperture gamma camera,and it affects the key performance parameters of the camera.Currently,commonly used coded arrays such as uniformly redundant arrays(URAs)and modified uniformly redundant arrays(MURAs)have prime numbers of rows or columns and may lead to wastage of detector pixels.A 16×16 coded array was designed on the basis of an existing 16×16 multi-pixel position-sensitive cadmium zinc telluride detector.The digital signal-to-noise(SNR)ratio of the point spread function at the center of the array is 25.67.Furthermore,Monte Carlo camera models and experimental devices based on rank-13 MURA and rank-16 URA have been constructed.With the same angular resolution,the field size of view under rank-16 URA is 1.53 times that of under rank-13 MURA.Simulations(Am-241,Co-57,Ir-192,Cs-137)and experiments(Co-57)are conducted to compare the imaging performance between rank-16 URA and rank-13 MURA.The contrast-to-noise ratio of the reconstructed image of the rank-16 array is great and only slightly lower than that of rank-13 MURA.However,as the photon energy increases,the gap becomes almost negligible. | Xiao-Lei Shen Pin Gong Xiao-Bin Tang Rui Zhang Jin-Chao Ma | 2020 | Nuclear Science and Techniques2020，31，9： | 2 |

| 10 | SARS-CoV-2 N protein enhances the anti-apoptotic activity of MCL-1 to promote viral replication显示文摘Viral infection in respiratory tract usually leads to cell death,impairing respiratory function to cause severe disease.However,the diversity of clinical manifestations of SARS-CoV-2 infection increases the complexity and difficulty of viral infection prevention,and especially the high-frequency asymptomatic infection increases the risk of virus transmission.Studying how SARS-CoV-2 affects apoptotic pathway may help to understand the pathological process of its infection.Here,we uncovered SARS-CoV-2 imployed a distinct anti-apoptotic mechanism via its N protein.We found SARS-CoV-2 virus-like particles(trVLP)suppressed cell apoptosis,but the trVLP lacking N protein didn’t.Further study verified that N protein repressed cell apoptosis in cultured cells,human lung organoids and mice.Mechanistically,N protein specifically interacted with anti-apoptotic protein MCL-1,and recruited a deubiquitinating enzyme USP15 to remove the K63-linked ubiquitination of MCL-1,which stabilized this protein and promoted it to hijack Bak in mitochondria.Importantly,N protein promoted the replications of IAV,DENV and ZIKV,and exacerbated death of IAV-infected mice,all of which could be blocked by a MCL-1 specific inhibitor,S63845.Altogether,we identifed a distinct anti-apoptotic function of the N protein,through which it promoted viral replication.These may explain how SARS-CoV-2 effectively replicates in asymptomatic individuals without cuasing respiratory dysfunction,and indicate a risk of enhanced coinfection with other viruses.We anticipate that abrogating the N/MCL-1-dominated apoptosis repression is conducive to the treatments of SARS-CoV-2 infection as well as coinfections with other viruses. | Pan Pan Weiwei Ge Zhiwei Lei Wei luo Yuqing Liu Zhanwen Guan Lumiao Chen Zhenyang Yu Miaomiao Shen Dingwen Hu Qi Xiang Wenbiao Wang Pin Wan Mingfu Tian Yang Yu Zhen Luo Xulin Chen Heng Xiao Qiwei Zhang Xujing Liang Xin Chen Yongkui Li Jianguo Wu | 2023 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023，8，6： | 0 |

| 12 | miR-335-5p regulates the proliferation,migration and phenotypic switching of vascular smooth muscle cells in aortic dissection by directly regulating SP1显示文摘Uncontrolled proliferation,migration and phenotypic switching of vascular smooth muscle cells(VSMCs)are important steps in the development and progression of aortic dissection(AD).The function and potential mechanism of miR-335-5p in the pathogenesis of AD are explored in this study.Specifically,the biological function of miR-335-5p is explored in vitro through CCK-8,Transwell,immunofluorescence,EdU,wound-healing,RT-qPCR and western blotting assays.In addition,an AD model induced by angiotensin II is used to investigate the function of miR-335-5p in vivo.A dual-luciferase assay is performed to verify the targeting relationship between miR-335-5p and specificity protein 1(SP1).Experiments involving the loss of SP1 function are performed to demonstrate the function of SP1 in the miR-335-5p-mediated regulation of human aortic-VSMCs(HA-VSMCs).AD tissues and platelet-derived growth factor BB(PDGF-BB)-stimulated HA-VSMCs show significant downregulation of miR-335-5p expression and upregulated SP1 expression.Overexpression of miR-335-5p effectively suppresses cell proliferation,migration and synthetic phenotype markers and enhances contractile phenotype markers induced by PDGF-BB treatment.Additionally,SP1 is identified as a target gene downstream of miR-335-5p,and its expression is negatively correlated with miR-335-5p in AD.Upregulation of SP1 partially reverses the inhibitory effect of miR-335-5p on HA-VSMCs,whereas the downregulation of SP1 has the opposite effect.Furthermore,Ad-miR-335-5p clearly suppresses aorta dilatation and vascular media degeneration in the AD model.Our results suggest that miR-335-5p inhibits HA-VSMC proliferation,migration and phenotypic switching by negatively regulating SP1,and indicate that miR-335-5p may be a potential therapeutic target in AD. | Runwei Ma Dayong Zhang Yi Song Jichang Kong Chunjie Mu Pin Shen Wenting Gui | 2022 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022，54，7： | 0 |
